Republic NOLA

No words could describe how pleased we were with our wedding event that was held at Republic Nola. Jess, Taylor, and the entire staff were outstanding. The venue was unique, beautiful, dramatic, and absolutely ideal for our wedding. The words used by almost all of our guests after the event were "Epic", "Wedding of the Century", "Best wedding ever", and "incredible venue". The photos and video tell the story. For anyone seeking to have a completely unique and incredibly fun wedding experience you have found your venue.

Reviewing as a wedding venue: I don’t even know where to start - Jessica and the team at Republic were amazing!! We had our ceremony upstairs, with the reception downstairs - along with a Second Line. Jessica + team helped everything run super smooth. The venue is such a departure from a standard wedding venue, which is exactly what we were looking for! We were planning our wedding from California - so we weren’t able to meet the team or see the venue before booking (which is very nerve-wracking, but it completely worked out). We opted for the candle package (highly, highly recommend) and the string light package. From last minute changes (adding pedicabs for some people during the Second Line, the day of…) to all of the early planning, it was all taken care of with a smile! We had Jessica help secure the Second Line band (including police escort, permitting, etc), photobooth, catering, linens and decorations. We couldn’t be happier with the way everything looked and the day of flowed. One thing to note, the special events team is in charge of many, many things that take place at Republic - each event is a priority to them - so as the time gets closer to your event, the communication will increase. All of our friends and family made it a point to let us know that the venue was beautiful and what a fun wedding it was! Cannot recommend this venue and team behind it, enough!

The Republic NOLA is definitely a hidden gem. While we were at first concerned that The Republic wouldn’t be “wedding”enough since it is also a concert hall, this was not an issue at all. The space has a classic rustic New Orleans feel (which I call Pirates of the Caribbean chic) with exposed beams and beautiful chandeliers. We did the candle package and they completely decked out each table and other spots throughout the venue with beautiful candle displays. We opted to do this over flowers and this was a great decision. For weddings/events that have a live band, the Republic is ideal because they have a great stage and sound...since it is also a concert hall, the acoustics are top notch which allows the band to be showcased. The Republic is a very spacey venue and could likely accomodate weddings of 200+ people, but our wedding was only 85 and it didn’t feel empty. The events coordinator worked with us to design the table set up, dance floor, food stations and spots for our fortune teller/caricature artists to make sure that things were spread out and we made the most of the space. They also offer several different bar package options..we did the cheaper one but that included most of the mid-premium liquor brands. To top it all off, The Republic is also really affordable! Highly recommended!

Loooooooved my reception venue and loved working with Jessica. The atmosphere of our wedding was amazing and I wish I could do it all over again! The Republic is the perfect venue for anyone who wants a fun unique venue. DJs were amazing, bartenders were amazing and staff in general was professional. Excellent choice!

Republic NOLA is amazing!!! We had the best reception, and everything was absolutely perfect. Not only is the venue itself stunning, but Jessica did an incredible job coordinating with vendors, decorating, and overall making sure the night was awesome! Our wedding reception at Republic NOLA was outstanding thanks to the hard work and expertise of Republic’s events director, Jessica. We knew that she would do an incredible job the day of our wedding, but walking into the venue from our Second Line Parade was surreal – the layout of the space was breathtaking, from the candle decor to the custom signage, and our guests felt the same way (e.g. several truly said that it’s the best wedding reception they have ever attended). The space speaks for itself with the beautiful murals and chandeliers, but the thoughtful, professional work of Republic’s staff made the evening unforgettable for all. We also highly recommend hiring a Republic DJ for the reception – DJ Byzerk was a true pro and kept our friends out on the dance floor all night! We could not recommend Republic any more highly to brides and grooms planning a wedding in New Orleans, particularly those planning from out-of-town – you are in the hands of true pros who will make your day exceptional!

We held our reception here on 12/29 and it was one of the most fun nights of my life. The acoustics and sound system were bomb, the decorations were stunning (get the candle package, they do an amazing job, don't go through all that hassle yourself!) and the bartenders were great. Jessica worked really well with our caterer and even came in with the clutch last-minute assist when our personalized second line hankies didn't arrive. Do be aware, though-- lowball the number of guests when you sign the contract because that number is NOT CHANGEABLE. Live and learn. Don't regret a thing!

We are wedding planners and our wonderful brides have brought us to this really unique venue!!! Service is great with Jessica and her great staff!!! Very easy to work with to set up and break down. Have a great system. Real New Orleans venue with awesome service!!! We live it!

Republic was the perfect venue to have a wedding. Everyone that came said they loved the space and had so much fun. We hired the house DJ, and I don't think anyone say down once during the whole reception . Jessica was awesome to work with, loved her. We ended up adding the candle and drapery package (so happy we did) and Jessica made the space look magical. If you're looking for a memorable venue, Republic is perfect!!

Jessica T. at the Republic is amazing! She's incredibly helpful in organizing a successful wedding. The Republic is a unique venue for a bride who does not want to go the traditional route. It is also a great venue because the catering option can be included and all of the food options were to great.

My husband and I had our reception at The Republic New Orleans on May 17, 2014. Jessica made all of our dreams come true. As an out of town bride with an in town family. Jessica worked smoothly between us both. She was in contact constantly and making sure I had all of my questions answered. She was the most approachable easy to work with person in the entire wedding process. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the candle package is the perfect accessory to the warehouse feel. I couldn't be happier with the way we were treated. Thank you Jessica for the most wonderful reception I could have asked for!!

For our wedding, we wanted to choose a location with character, one that felt like New Orleans, and fit our budget. I don't think I could have foreseen how perfect Republic New Orleans was for our wedding. We used it for both the ceremony and reception. What is exceptional to me about Republic NO is how well suited the space is for a wedding. There is ample space to provide whatever atmosphere you desire. And, no matter where your guests are, everything feels quite connected during the reception. Whether you want things more formal or more relaxed, Republic NO can make it happen. We had TONS of compliments from our guests. The building's structure, the exposed wood, vintage-style murals, crystal chandeliers, and its actual history really make the venue stand out as something unique. It was an excellent value, as well. **Very important. Their Director of Special Events, Jessica was nothing short of great to work with. I had lots of questions and special requests- all of which she took care of very professionally. As a bride, it's vital to know you'll have someone taking care of everything the day of your wedding. (I planned by wedding half from out of town, half from out of the country... So, I promise if you're organized- you won't have a single issue.) Their selected caterer is fantastic, so that's one decision less for you to make. Believe me, I would have chosen them even if they were not linked to the venue... Food is a serious business in Nola, and it was very important to us. From the bottom of my heart, I couldn't be happier with having used Republic New Orleans as our venue for BOTH our ceremony and reception.

We aren't stuffy people - a hotel ballroom was not for us. We love character - amazing food and great music. It was important for us to have all those pieces a part of our wedding which is why we chose Republic for our 100 guest event. Jess, Special Events Director was AMAZING to work with - she helped us have the most amazingly perfect wedding day. Republic is open to caterers, and vendors, has an amazing sound system that can be used by DJ or Band - epic lighting, beautiful chandeliers and lots of comfortable space. I would highly recommend going to take a look at the space before you settle for too large, too boring or too stuffy for your special day.

My husband and I were married at The Republic on December 8th, and the event was more than we could have ever imagined. From the planning stages to the actual wedding day, the event coordinator and her staff attended to every detail with diligent consideration and insightful, attentive management. They ensured that everything was completed exactly as we intended, and were more than flexible when it came to some of the more intricate, inimitable aspects that we envisioned. When we chose Republic, I had some initial reservations. I’m now 34, so I had a little trouble visualizing how a club that I went to years ago (when it was Howling Wolf!) could be transformed into a wedding venue. Many of my close friends wondered the same thing. However, I knew the vibe that I wanted. The most important characteristics for us as a couple were that it had a classic New Orleans feel, fit our guests comfortably, and that it was conducive to dancing. I have to say that this decision was one of the best we’ve ever made. The atmosphere was so romantic. The gorgeous chandeliers and artwork gave it such elegance. And the candle package and stage pipe and drape added immeasurably to the overall mood of the ceremony and subsequent party. We are particularly proud of the fact that our wedding was so unique…it was so much different than other cookie-cutter receptions at traditional halls or hotels. Our guests loved the warehouse feel, and once everything was in place, it was just perfect. We have not stopped hearing about our “beautiful,” “rare,” "epic," “exciting,” “fun,” “awesome” wedding. For this, we are forever indebted to everyone at Republic!! They graciously allowed for some of my husband’s family’s wilder Greek traditions, and even arranged for it to “snow” when we played a Christmas song. I don’t know about you…but I’ve never been to a wedding like that!! We're extremely satisfied with every aspect of our wedding day, and will definitely recommend Republic New Orleans to anyone looking for an exceptional, versatile, and sophisticated New Orleans venue in which to hold an event. I could not have asked for a better experience for my wedding reception! The reception coordinator, Jessica, made the space look stunning and all of my guests were floored when they saw the space. I was overwhelmed with all the details that go into wedding planning, and she just learned about my taste and style and delivered a beautiful reception. We had a very lively band (Bag of Donuts) and they were ably to accommodate them on stage with a great sound system and awesome lighting. My mom and I are still hearing how it was one of the most lively and fun weddings that my friends and family have ever attended. Thanks Republic for making me and my husband's day so memorable!

We had a okay time!!

We got married on July 11th 2009! It was the happiest day of my life and everything went perfect! Republic New Orleans is the perfect place to have New Orleans Wedding.I am bias I must say,because my husband is a partner @ this venue. One of the wonderful things about this venue is there are many options for your Wedding,its not just one set package with so many restrictions on what other vendors you can go to, such as food,cake,florist etc..
