I cannot thank the crew at Request A Chef enough for making our wedding this past Saturday so perfect. The food was out of this world. I went into the day not knowing what to expec...
t, but the staff was excellent about communicating what was happening and when, making sure we were served appetizers, making us a plate at dinner and just going above and beyond. I will absolutely be using and recommending Request A Chef in the future.
Laurie and Thom were absolutely amazing! They were so extremely accommodating for everything we needed with our wedding! Most importantly the service and food were absolutely pheno...
menal! We couldn’t keep track of how many guests came up to us and complimented the food- and everyone knows that it is arguably the most important part of the day! If you are considering booking Request A Chef for your event, hesitate no further! We highly recommend them for your big day!
I would give a hundred stars if I could. Tracey was incredible, not only did she help bring our vision to life...I would have been lost without her help the day of the ceremony. sh...
e helped show the bridal party exactly where to walk & helped calm me (the crying but excited bride) down. she helped take care of my husband and myself, getting us our dinner and making sure everyone had plenty to eat, and even got my bridal party snacks for our own private cocktail hour after the ceremony! Chef was amazing too. oh my God, the food was absolutely incredible. the chicken dish is something I wish I could make for dinner at home, and the shrimp scampi was to die for. our guests ranging from 13-82 were raving the whole night (and week after) about how delicious it all was.
12/10, would recommend to anyone.
We worked with Chef Thom for our wedding at the Nathan Hale Homestead on 10/23/21. We were very happy with the dinner for 150 people (served family style) and the variety of apps d...
uring cocktail hour. Guests told us that they enjoyed the food and had plenty to eat, and Thom was able to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions. They were also very reasonably priced after having compared 10+ similar companies. Having the truck to cook on was great since there were limited kitchen facilities at our venue. Thom and his event planning partner Tracey were very responsive and easy to work with throughout the planning process. Tracey was very helpful on our wedding day and made sure we had food/ drinks while doing photos and everything we needed throughout the night. They were also very helpful in setting and cleaning up with our DIY wedding. Highly recommend Thom and his team!
To start, they stuck with us despite having to travel quite a distance due to covid. At that point I knew these guys were special. They really care about their customers. The food ...
was OUTSTANDING for our wedding. It's a good thing they brought business cards because they were swiped up. Chef Thom is an EXTREMELY nice guy who will go above and beyond for you. The staff there the night of our wedding was so sweet and really just made the day so much more special. I grew up in a house where food = love and you can taste the love, care, and heart that goes into these dishes. Additionally, we didn't have a huge budget for food they fit exactly with what we can afford and I wouldn't have changed it. For the $ and the quality you would be foolish to go anywhere else.
Chef Thom + team are fantastic! We chose them to cater our 75 person wedding. He was on top of all the details and made the planning easy. The food was fresh, flavorful, and intere...
sting. Our guests (including those with dietary restrictions) had plenty to eat and loved the food! I was so so impressed by the wait staff. They were very professional and executed all the decorations, tables, etc perfectly. It was like behind the scenes magic. I didn't have a wedding planner and didn't really need one with such a great team!
Request a chef and their team was amazing from start to finish. Working with Chef Thom was the easiest experience and he truly worked with us on every last detail of our wedding. H...
e helped coordinate our tent rentals...chairs..tables...linens ..food...drink...he did it all. Our guests raved about the food...the service and everything about our day and we couldn't have done it without Request a Chef or Chef Thom!!! Thank you again for making our day truly amazing!!!
Chef Thom and his team were absolutely amazing. From the second we met with Chef, he was professional and knowledgable. We didn't have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, but ...
we didn't need one with Chef. Everything went smoothly and people were raving about the food. Couldn't have been a better evening and we would recommend Request A Chef to anyone who needs a fabulous caterer in the Hartford area!
Chef Thom was amazing. We met with him three times prior to the wedding. Two were to do food tastings in which he actually prepared them at our house. We did two because the first ...
tasting we weren't completely sold on the options we initially picked, but the second time he made a couple of changes we had only briefly mentioned and we were completely wowed. The day of the wedding was so stress free thanks to Chef Thom and Request A Chef- they actually set up all our centerpieces, decor, picked up the kettle corn for our popcorn buffet, set up the welcome table and more! The week of the wedding he had picked up all the wedding materials and told us not to worry, and he was right not to. Aside from removing basically all stress from our wedding day, the food was PHENOMENAL. While I only got to eat the Caesar salad, everyone we spoke with raved about all facets from the passed appetizers to the chicken cordon bleu to even the simple pasta course. He and his team were working tirelessly the whole day and I couldn't recommend a more professional and perfect team of people to have worked with for our wedding day. Thank you Chef Thom!
