We cannot recommend Revel and Joy Events highly enough. From our initial meeting, Elaina took the bits of a vision we had and fleshed them out into a detailed and on point plan for our wedding. We knew we wanted a more low key event than many weddings we had attended, ditching many traditional aspects, and Elaina made us feel fully supported and celebrated in our choices. She helped assemble an all star team of vendors who made our wedding day seamless and amazing. Elaina works very intentionally to craft a design plan and event that reflects the couple she is working with.
When she saw rain was in the forecast, Elaina worked with our photographer in the week leading up to make sure we had a rain plan for photos that we loved as much as our sunny day plan and she and her team cheerily ran around Boston with us in the rain. On the day of the wedding, the RJE team orchestrated everything perfectly. We and our families were so well taken care of and we were able to enjoy the day stress free, knowing they had everything in hand. So many of our guests have commented on how smoothly everything ran and how beautiful everything was. All the credit goes to the RJE team - we never could have pulled it off without them!

There really aren’t enough words in the universe to capture how we feel about Elaina and the truly spectacular planner and person she is. First and foremost there is no question in our minds that hiring Elaina to guide us through our wedding planning journey was the best investment we made. Elaina made us feel like we were her sole focus throughout the whole planning process even though we know she is a superwoman who is planning other weddings and making other couples feel the same way at the same time.
Our year of working together was joyful and personal, organized and seamless. Elaina always had the right words to help ease our fears and the knowledge and insight to help us make the most informed decisions. She captured our personalities and vision in a stunning and comprehensive design plan and was always flexible and open throughout when the vision evolved. Video calls and site visits were something we looked forward to knowing that Elaina had every detail in hand and we were going to be one step closer to our dream day. And it most certainly was!
Our wedding day was pure magic! The vendor team that we (she) put together absolutely crushed it and if anything went awry we did not know about it because the entire day was so smooth and absolutely perfect. Elaina and her team at Revel and Joy Events are rockstars! Elaina was hired as a coordinator and from the moment we locked in our contract, she was there for the random questions I had or to provide reminders on the minor details most would forget. Not only is she extremely organized and helpful but she is able to offer sound advice when you might not want to bug a friend or family member. Elaina was amazing at taking the reins and working with all the vendors we had leading up to and on the day of our wedding. It is truly so nice to have someone handle all of the extras during your wedding day like moving decor from different spaces, returning any personal items to your room during the events, and even holding your bouquet (which was pretty frequently haha). If I could give 1000 stars I would. I would recommend hiring a coordinator to any bride and I highly recommend hiring Revel and Joy Events for your special day or event!!!
I honestly can’t think of the words to fully capture how grateful we are to have had Elaina’s help with our wedding! But I will try and capture our experience because hiring Elaina and Revel and Joy was by far the best investment we made for our wedding!
We began working with Elaina about eight months before our wedding. We had chosen many of our vendors and signed contracts already. She smoothly and seamlessly picked up where we had left off and began working with our vendors to make sure everything was clear and on track. She thought of every detail and asked great questions to understand our priorities for our wedding. She guided us in a very gentle way to help us create our perfect event. When I questioned “do we need this?” she thoughtfully answered and reassured me that not everything on Pinterest is necessary for everyone. It’s easy to get carried away while planning a wedding and she definitely helped us stay on budget and not get carried away with “stuff”.
She handled everything with our vendors and met with us monthly to check in and get our input on anything that needed it. As the wedding approached, we spoke more often and she was always available to answer my questions and handled all the last minute things that inevitably came up. She was always calm, always professional and handled all the many details so that I didn’t have to stress about anything! She communicated with our vendors and wedding party and created a detailed timeline so that everyone was very prepared and clear on the expectations of the day.
Elaina made our wedding such an incredible experience. We were truly able to be fully present with each other and our family and friends. She and her team took care of everything and made sure that any issues were dealt with and everything stayed on schedule. They set up and cleaned up and made sure we got all our things into cars at the end of the night (and I didn’t have to carry anything!)
If you are wondering if hiring a full service planner is worth it, I will tell you that it absolutely is! Give yourself the gift of being able to relax and enjoy your wedding!
We got engaged in May 2020, and being the oldest siblings in both immediate families and the first couple of the majority of our friends to get engaged, we were lost on where to even begin with planning a wedding. Fortunately, Alex’s aunt is the owner of a florist company, Copper Penny Flowers (Concord, MA), and Jennifer kindly passed along the names of some of her favorite wedding planners in the Boston area. Among the list of names she provided was Elaina, and Jennifer’s direct words were, “LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Elaina…She’ll be one of your besties by the end.” After our first phone call with Elaina, we knew she would be the perfect person to help plan our dream wedding.
Working with Elaina over the past (almost) 2 years has been the most seamless and enjoyable process we could have asked for. Being completely swamped with medical school and PA school, neither of us had much time for all the phone calls, meetings, etc. necessary for planning a wedding. Further adding to the chaos, neither of us actively live in the Boston area due to school; but without fail, Elaina would be at every in-person meeting for us (FaceTiming us in when possible) and was always flexible and understanding when scheduling our monthly meetings or when we needed to make last minute changes. She is truly one of the most reliable, professional people we have ever worked with (or met for that matter), and her ability to handle all conversations and interactions with such grace so as to not add to our already busy and stressful lives made all the difference. To top it all off, Elaina had never planned a wedding at the Boston Public Library, but when we chose the BPL as our venue there was absolutely no hesitation, just pure excitement for us.
Our wedding was utterly magical, and we have Elaina to thank for everything. Even when our officiant tested positive for COVID the morning of our wedding, Elaina handled everything behind the scenes, preventing any worry for us or our family/friends. While there is no such thing as a flawless, perfect wedding (there is something that always comes up in that 11th hour), our wedding was in fact perfect. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Elaina, and we recommend her to everyone who hopes to get married in Boston. Her calmness and positivity is unlike anyone we know - she is compassionate, caring, genuine and kind, and we are so happy to call her a friend for life. Thank you Elaina for everything you have done for us, and we cannot wait to see you bring the immense amount of joy to other couples as you did to us on our wedding day.

I don’t know if this review can really capture how fantastic Elaina is and what an essential addition to our wedding she was! She was so incredibly helpful in so many ways. She has so much invaluable expert knowledge of the industry, vendors, traditions, process, you name it! She is incredibly organized and kept us on track with planning, doing so much of the leg work. She navigated some possibly tricky/awkward situations with such grace, managing to be persuasive and help us get what we wanted for our day without being pushy or off-putting. I am certain that our investment in her services ultimately saved us time, money, and so much stress. Elaina is also just the kindest, most genuine person and I truly felt she did everything possible for us to have the best day possible. For example, we didn’t have a wedding party so she volunteered to carry my dress train and help bustle it after the ceremony. Some of my guests even commented on the beautiful moment when I turned to walk down the aisle and my “friend” threw my train, letting the wind carry it 😊 I cannot recommend her enough for anyone planning a wedding! Elaina literally made our wedding dreams come true, the entire day was a fairytale.
We reached out to Elaina in 2020 after postponing our June 2019 wedding due to COVID and she was a complete game changer. We were exhausted and couldn't fathom having to re-plan all over again. Elaina made things so easy/seamless for us and graciously entertained all of our questions and concerns no matter how big or small. She is so easy to work with and was able to translate our vision into reality with all of our vendors to execute the most PERFECT day. We are so grateful and even more excited now to call her our friend!
OMG and can we talk about how she and Blackstone Caterers made sure my dad got his milk and cookies at the end of the night? It was a running joke that he wanted them and I never really believed it was going to happen and honestly didn't know it did until I saw our full album afterwards. Best surprise.

We could not be happier with our decision to work with Elaina! In our first meeting with Elaina, we gave her a few adjectives that described the ambiance we were hoping to create, along with a handful of very rough ideas, and she got back to us with an INCREDIBLE design plan that perfectly captured the bold, modern, and quintessential Boston wedding that we envisioned. And it only got better from there. We were so impressed with Elaina's ability to keep us organized, to help us assemble an all-star team of vendors, and ultimately to make our wedding day as special (or really, even more special) than we ever could have imagined. Hiring a wedding planner is definitely an investment, but hiring Elaina is worth every penny!
Someone suggested hiring a wedding planner shortly after I got engaged and it was the best decision we could have made to hire Elaina. She made the whole planning process, and the wedding itself, so stress free and enjoyable. Leading up to the wedding friends would ask what they could do to help and my response was “Elaina has it covered” and she did. All of the vendors she recommended were amazing and the wedding exceeded our expectations. I can’t imagine planning our wedding without Elaina!
Working with Revel and Joy and Elaina was fantastic for my fiancé and I. First and foremost - neither of us are big planners - which Elaina recognized and helped us with brilliantly. We wanted an intimate, minimalistic wedding, which she ran with and did a fantastic job. She runs a very honest and open business and did not try to sell us on anything she knew we wouldn't need/want. We currently live out of state but are relocating soon to the Boston area, so she was able to perform venue research for us and find some great options within our budget. Being out of state, all our calls were conducted via Zoom, where Elaina was always prompt and very helpful. From day one we were very comfortable talking to her about anything related to the wedding, and she was able to provide us feedback on the spot. She was also very helpful in providing vendor recommendations within our budget that met our specific style, which was great for non-planners like us! I would 110% recommend Elaina to anyone in the Boston area looking for any sort of wedding advice, she has provided us all that we needed and more.
It’s hard to say where to begin with our fantastic experience with Elaina - so I’ll start at the beginning! From the first interaction during the beginning of our search for her services, Elaina was professional, reassuring, and a step ahead.
As a couple, my husband and I counted ourselves lucky to have been able to keep our original date as well as our original ceremony and reception venues despite the pandemic. That said, just about every little detail needed to be re-thought and re-imagined given COVID-19 restrictions. From table configurations to state policies on serving food, singing & dancing, and everything in between, Elaina helped us navigate the ever-evolving landscape to ensure we were relaxed, that our event was safe, and that all of our stakeholders were on the same page.
Elaina’s services were by far the best investment we made, and it was one of the quickest decisions I made to actually ADD time to Elaina’s on-site responsibilites on the day of our wedding. She was very flexible, rationale, and relaxed throughout the entire process, but those qualities were particularly appreciated on our wedding day. She was truly the glue that kept everything together and the list of tasks that she managed and handled behind the scenes without me even knowing at the time is incredible (including coordinating with our florist to make sure our puppy had her special "flower-girl”collar as she walked down the aisle, and making an extra trip to the hotel to collect my hand-written vows which I had not memorized)!
Besides the day-of management, Elaina’s expertise and attention to detail made a world of difference in managing our vendor relationships, coordination, and payments. It helped us filter the necessary information in a productive and timely way. It made the whole experience a lot more fun.
Because we had gone through all of the details together ahead of time, and because I had full trust in Elaina, I was COMPLETELY relaxed and present not only the day of the wedding, but the whole week before. I feel like I had better/more meaningful interactions with friends, family, and my now husband (!!) as a result.

Elaina was far and away the best decision we made with our wedding. She was invaluable when we made the decision to cancel our big wedding in favor of a 25 person, COVID appropriate celebration. She helped me navigate the best way to have a safe and healthy event that still felt like my and my husband's wedding. The day of she was a phenomenal support to me and made our day run like clockwork. Hiring Elaina was the best wedding gift my fiancé could have ever given me. We worked with Elaina throughout the planning process in addition to her coordination services. She helped us organize a wedding day timeline, consulted with me on the overall aesthetic look and feel of the event, and a month out took over all planning so that we could enjoy our time together and relax before the wedding. She also joined us on venue walkthroughs, which proved to be incredibly valuable when our venue went through last-minute staffing changes.

Deciding to hire Elaina as our wedding coordinator was by far the best decision I made during the wedding planning process. We provide florals for more than 100 weddings annually and have worked with a variety of wedding specialists and event planners. In my experience, Elaina at Revel and Joy is one of the best! Pleasant, creative, organized and a joy to work with immediately jump to mind when I think about working with Elaina. I can't recommend her highly enough. I hope to collaborate on more events organized by Revel and Joy in the future.
I am extremely happy to have had Elaina's help and support for my wedding. Initially, we knew we needed a coordinator to handle details like setup and timelines and we were happy to find Elaina because she immediately understood our vision and seemed confident that we could pull it off. However, in the last few weeks before the wedding, we found out just how many details have to be handled, and it was absolutely amazing to have someone else dealing with the many smaller things that pop up (the exact time the cake arrives, vendor parking options, etc), while I focused on what I cared about the most. I very much appreciated Elaina’s experience and ability to point out potential issues and her many suggestions for solutions, as well as how quickly she responded to any questions or concerns from our other vendors. In the final week, we had an emergency vendor cancellation (hair and makeup), and while I would have absolutely panicked at that point, Elaina remained calm and had a backup plan in place within two hours. I was absolutely blown away by the level of support I received, and I can’t overstate how happy I am that Elaina chose to work with us. Thank you for helping make our wedding magical!
From the first stages of wedding planning, to my bridal shower, the rehearsal dinner, and to the big day, Elaina was by our side every step of the way. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had the most incredible and special day. Elaina is extremely organized, responsive, and very experienced. She truly understood our vision for our wedding, and her insight and ideas allowed it to become a reality. It would not have been the same without her guidance, dedication and leadership. I will be grateful for Elaina for the rest of my life. Her tremendous work on my wedding made the event perfect and I am absolutely confident that it wouldn't have been possible without Elaina. When we met with Elaina we already had a number of my vendors lined up: the venue, caterer, photographer, and my dress. I waited so long to look for a coordinator because I thought a.) I couldn't afford a wedding planner/coordinator and b.) I thought I could do it on my own and be fine. I felt like I had done most of the work already and was just hoping for someone to help with the last minute details on the day of the wedding. I can't articulate how wrong I was about how much I didn't know about throwing a party of the size and scale of a wedding.
My biggest (and only -- Elaina took care of everything else!) regret about anything in regard to our wedding was that we didn't meet and hire Elaina sooner. She is a game changer. I thought because I had read a couple books and blogs about throwing a wedding on a budget that I could handle all the moving parts but there was so much I didn't know. Elaina is a true professional; we hired her as a full service planner and I always tell people it is the very best gift I have ever given myself.
Elaina found and negotiated with all the rest of the vendors we needed: flowers, hair and makeup, paper goods, rentals, and probably a lot of other things that I didn't even know she was handling in the background. She came up with floor plans for the venue (and rain plans, and many drafts of floor plans to give us options) and worked really hard with us to find ways to save money. She was as invested as we were in making our wedding affordable without compromising our vision. Elaina was amazing about presenting us with multiple options and being really transparent about how things were fitting in our budget. I am confident that she saved us money through all her research, which was such an unexpected and incredible bonus of working with her.
Elaina's attention to detail is remarkable. She helped us choose decorations, which colors for linens would look nice together, which place settings would help create the vibe we wanted. She really listened to me and sent me options that she thought I might like. I truly felt that she understood what I wanted and how I hoped everything would look. Our wedding was stunning and so fun and every one of our guests commented on how well everything went together. Elaina even made sure all of our paper goods and favors matched our website and our invitations. These are things I think I would have had to let slide if I was trying to do everything myself but having them made such a difference. We would never have had a wedding as nice as the one we had if it weren't for Elaina; it would have been lovely, I'm sure, but Elaina took everything to the next level.
She is incredibly knowledgeable and finds genuine joy in throwing events. I cannot recommend Elaina as a wedding planner and coordinator highly enough. At least twice throughout the process I joked with my fiance (now husband!) that I was calling our wedding off so that I could marry Elaina instead -- she is an amazing person. We are so lucky to have worked with her and I am so grateful for the work she did!
When you stop to consider it, there are really only two or three significant events in one’s life when every detail matters. My daughter’s wedding was one of these for me and I wanted every memory made that day to be perfect – and it was!
There are many decisions to make, options to consider, and details to synchronize for any event to appear effortless. I say this as an event planner by profession and know this firsthand. With many and various kinds of events under my belt, I still have not planned a wedding, except for my own simple wedding years and years ago. My daughter and I felt it would be important, given this singular and meaningful occasion, to seek out a professional to collaborate with us. First and foremost, we sought a partner who understood our vision for this special occasion, who cared about making this vision a reality for us, and who could visualize and manage the myriad steps it would take to execute this vision flawlessly. We were incredibly fortunate to find Elaina Pires.
From the outset, we found Elaina to be a great communicator and collaborator. She created a workable timeline and skillfully kept us on track. She provided a list of proven vendors at varying price points and didn’t hesitate to offer her opinion when asked. Elaina became the captain of our team and, together, we recruited the necessary vendors to ensure the ultimate in successful events. As a consummate wedding planner, Elaina was keenly aware to include the most important elements, big and small, that make a wedding feel as though no detail was overlooked and, further, that every detail was diligently attended to with great skill and thoughtfulness.
It is easy to get overwhelmed by the process of planning an event, especially one so big and special. It was comforting to know that Elaina always had everything under control. One of the most valuable talents I observed, among Elaina’s many talents, was her ability to see where we could cut costs to stay on budget without losing the overall vision we were trying to create. We planned and worked closely together so that when the big day came, my daughter and I simply relaxed and enjoyed the day with our family and friends, knowing that Elaina was there to oversee and manage everything in the flow of the day.
