Rhythm & Lights DJ & Photobooths

Rhythm & lights did not disappoint!!! We had Mitch as our dj and he went above and beyond our expectations of what a wedding dj was capable of! His laser/lights show was very impressive! On top of having a full dance floor all night,(Literally don’t think it was ever remotely empty) Mitch was kind,professional,punctual and was an excellent MC! He led us through the reception flawlessly! We have had multiple guests tell us this was the greatest wedding reception they had ever been to. THANK YOU MITCH, RHYTHM & LIGHTS!!!

Rhythm & Lights was absolutely AMAZING! We have received so many compliments from guests on what a phenomenal job Rob did at our wedding. He kept the dance floor full the entire night! He was very accommodating on helping us set our friend up to perform our first dance song with all of his equipment. He reached out beforehand to ensure all of our song choices were accurate and to get a good feel for what kind of music we'd like played. We cannot recommend these guys enough! We also used a photobooth and it was a huge hit with our guests! I highly recommend adding this on!

The booking process with Rhythm and Lights was super easy! They took great care of us leading up to our day with emails questionnaires and phone calls ensuring the details of our ceremony and playlists were solid so we didn’t have to worry about anything! The communication on the day of and service throughout our event was top notch! Highly recommend for any event but especially for a wedding. During the day of your wedding you want your own attention focused on the importance of the day and not running around making sure details are taken care of. They handled all the major and minor details and came to us when needed with any questions that came up, allowing us to continue to enjoy the day to its fullest. Such a great DJ service! Throughout the entire evening our DJ was checking in, giving his recommendations, and was mixing music! We absolutely loved the entire process with Rhythm and Lights!

We had Kevin as our DJ and he was so amazing. Every song we requested was played, the dance floor I'm pretty sure never died and he kept people aged 2-90 entertained and having a great time for a long party! The only thing to keep in mind is the other reviews are not wrong, it was at times hard to get an email response, a few I actually forgot I sent and just never got answers to but it was never a big deal. In my opinion Robs style of writing back often came across a little stiff/business. However if you are ok with that then absolutely do not hesitate, it is only an issue if you know you need someone to hold your hand through the process a little more and be super peppy or excited at all time. For us it was the perfect choice and there are zero regrets or issues!

The Rhythm & Lights team were great to work with. They were very responsive and communicative leading up to our wedding day. The questionnaires they have you fill out prior to your wedding are very detailed and cover all the bases so they have all the info needed. And they sure know how to keep the dance floor full! All of our guests had so much fun dancing and partying all night.

We had Max as our DJ and he absolutely NAILED IT. We got married up in Gaylord, MI, which he traveled to. He was on time, detailed, and asked questions to ensure our day went smoothly. The transitions throughout the day were fantastic and he even ensured I had a drink waiting for me at my table for when we got back in from taking photos. Super personable and we didn't have to stress about anything going wrong with the timeline or the music! Definitely recommend.

Our experience with Rhythm & Lights was overall satisfactory. We had a mishap with who our DJ was going to be the day before our wedding. It would have been nice to hear from our original DJ (Rob) sooner than the day before the wedding to let us know that there was a change of plans. However, Trent ended up doing our wedding and he was perfect. We had a short call with Trent the night before the wedding to go over all the details and he nailed it. He kept people on the dance floor all night and we loved his style and execution on our wedding day. Trent was 10/10 and we highly recommend him!

At first we were skeptical because there wasn't really any communication in the months leading up to our wedding, which made us nervous. But on our wedding day, Chris was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. He did a fantastic job playing songs that kept the party going, and helped keep us on schedule. We highly recommend Chris as a DJ if you choose Rhythm & Lights!

We worked with Chris as our DJ and WOW! Chris went above and beyond on our wedding day. He was organized, observant, and asked questions throughout the evening. Chris played awesome music all evening that kept people out on the dancefloor. We booked the photobooth as well which guests really loved that as well and spent a lot of time laughing and taking pictures with friends. 10/10 DJ experience!!!

Rhythm and Lights DJ’d our wedding for the ceremony and reception and provided a photobooth. While the music was loud and fun, the photobooth was a hit, and our ceremony music was just right; there were a lot of avoidable misses that ultimately disappointed us, although our guests may not have been the wiser. The DJ was supposed to contact us prior to the wedding day, we did not hear from him, and later when giving me an excuse told me they weren’t in contact because they went to a football game out of state before the wedding. Even with that excuse, there is no reason for many of the misses I’m about to list. There was no cocktail hour music, our introduction was wrong, he interrupted our wedding dinner to tell us he couldn’t access the playlist link we gave them a week ahead of time for the reception (this is when he gave us the excuse he went to a football game instead of preparing and contacting us like they said they would), he took photos of the playlist songs from our phone but then only played songs from it upon request from me, and I witnessed and heard from our guests how he was acting inappropriately with the photobooth attendant. The music during the reception also stopped for ten minutes when his amp died and he had to replace it. We later connected with our highly experienced wedding coordinator who went out their way to share how the DJ didn't review the timeline and wasn't prepared, and was disrepectful. A few days after the wedding I called the owner to tell him how it went, he said he’d get back to me after talking with the DJ. The owner later texted me the link didn’t work for him either for our reception music and the amp wasn’t their fault. It’s been a week from those texts and I haven’t heard anything else. I’m a very optimistic person and it takes a lot of misses for me to be disappointed. I would not recommend this business for any of your events.

They had a really nice online portal with forms to fill out that was helpful an efficient in communicating our preferences for the wedding. On the day of, Max brought the party and played the perfect selection of music that kept the dance floor full the entire night. We changed to order of the first dance a few times and Max rolled with it and was very chill, which was very appreciated. We started our first dance with a slow song that turned into a faster song and Rhythem and Lights mixed it perfectly for us, and on the day of Max made sure to tell us when to expect the song to switch, which helped our first dance go smoothly. They also accommodated my grandpa singing and playing guitar for two songs and provided all of the equipment for that, which was great! Everything was perfect and I can not recommend Rhythm and Lights enough!!!

Rhythm and LIghts was wonderful! They were one of the more affordable and just as thorough as the expensive companies we checked out. They're questionnaires were so helpful in keeping us on our timeline. I am the Mother of the Bride and a worrier. We did not have a Master or Mistress of Ceremony nor did we need one because we had Chris! Chris was our DJ. He was beyond awesome! He kept the party going and kept us on our timeline. He felt like part of the family or a lifelong friend. He was there for me every minute. He even helped me to cut and serve the cake! He kept the party going when half the guests left due to the heat (no a/c in our Park Lodge venue) and the long drive home. The music was just the right volume. The lights were awesome! My only regret is that we didn't get the photo booth. It wasn't very expensive and would have added to the fun. I was worried about space but we would have had room. I only have one daughter to marry off, but if I had to do it again, I would want Chris there! Then again....maybe I can get my husband to do a vow renewal and party.... If you're on the fence about this company, I say "GO FOR IT!" You won't be sorry! and get the photo booth too....

Professional, detailed, communicative, generally good music choice. Kept our timeline moving & were fun!

Can’t speak highly enough about this team. Rob coordinated everything for the day of our wedding so that Mitch the DJ could just show up and throw an absolute banger as we requested. Mitch helped the reception go smooth transitioning from cake cutting, first dances, toasts, etc. 10/10 would recommend.

Rob the owner was very communicative throughout the process. Chris was our DJ for our ceremony and reception and everything turned out great! The dance floor was packed all night long. He checked in on us frequently to see if we needed anything. We also did the standard photobooth and it was a hit!

Rhythm & Lights was so great during the entire planning process! They communicated, answered any questions I had and our DJ max really made my musical dreams come true!! My ceremony music was PERFECT -and the reception was such a great time! He even read my mind with one of my favorite songs I was too scared to put on the mist play list. I wish I had heard more of my Must Plays….. but honestly I could have just been busy! I didn’t have a coordinator, as it was out of our budget, but between Max and my photographer I couldn’t have asked for a better team on my biggest day. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and I’ll forever be raving about them!!

Rhythm and Lights was a great addition to our wedding day! We used both their DJ and photobooth services. Their DJ setup was sleek, one of the best we've seen. The photo stand blended in and was a hit with all the props! Mitch was our DJ that night and kept people on the dance floor all night by reading the crowd, he even played an extra 30 minutes at the end because we asked for an encore, lol! The only negative thing to be said is the poor communication within the last month leading up to the big day. We had to reach out several times to get the info we needed, which caused some uncertainty going into the wedding day, but thankfully it all ended well! Overall, the dance floor was a hit and Rhtym & Lights' prices were very reasonable!

Chris did a fantastic job coordinating music for both our wedding ceremony and reception. He worked with our venue to keep the ceremony running smoothly and make sure everyone understood their cues, and the dance floor was packed all night long at our reception (he played a great mix of music and honored guest requests quickly). He was organized, professional and attentive and regularly checked in with us throughout the night to see if we needed anything. Leading up to the day, Robert was very responsive throughout the planning process and we found his planning forms helpful. We would highly recommend booking Rhythm & Lights for your event!

Mitch was our DJ and he did a great job keeping our dance floor moving at our wedding! He was happy to take lots of requests and was incredibly friendly, we really enjoyed having him there to bring on the tunes! The only frustration with had with R & L was the lack of communication in the beginning, responses were sometimes slow and we didn't receive our documents to create song requests until we requested a meeting which was a bit stressful for us. However, everything still went great the day of our wedding and they were able to accommodate us on a short timeline, we had a great reception!

Max did a phenomenal job at our wedding. He rolled through the songs for the ceremony, grand entrance, and handled setup for both the cocktail hour and ceremony/reception (two different locations). We allowed him to feel the crowd out and get people grooving on the dance floor and his song choices were 10/10. It was one of the funnest times of our lives and felt nearly like a nightclub. Could not recommend Max and Rhythm and Lights more!

I’ve been to multiple weddings this year and one thing we knew we needed was a good dj. Rhythm and lights was incredible. Chris was our dj and exceeded our expectations. We gave him free range on what to play instrumental wise and music during the reception while guests were getting food. The selection he picked was just what I had in mind. He kept the songs going for the dancing and had everyone on the dance floor. He kept checking to see if we needed anything during the wedding and made sure he did everything in his power to make our day that much better. I would recommend rhythm and lights for everyone getting married. They helped make the party last all night.

Rhythm & Lights is a good company, however there were a few things that didn't go as planned. I decided to go outside of my DJ budget because I saw Mitch Dj an event and he was amazing. I confirmed numerous times that Mitch would be the DJ at our event at the time of the booking and after booking and I was assured he would be. Then finding out a week before we would have someone different, I tried asking about why it was switch I was told they would look into it and never heard back. The new DJ didn't reach out until the night before after I had emailed him asking to chat. A few things were skipped over at the reception and the DJ we had made a few comments that weren't needed, the DJ was only asking questions to me as I was trying to mingle with guest. I still recommend this company because Rob was very nice and helped where ever he could, I was just very disappointed in our DJ that we had.

If you are getting married hire rhythm & lights! I’ve been to multiple weddings where Mitch has been the DJ. Every time I leave thinking it’s the best wedding reception I’ve ever been too. Not hiring Mitch for your wedding dj is a mistake. Thank you Mitch!!!

Rhythm and lights was phenomenal from the first encounter we had with them. Rob was great at communicating (even after his accident) and gave us a discount for paying in full at the booking. They were also very affordable for everything that was included. Angie was our DJ and she was fantastic. She kept the dance floor lit, played any song that was requested, and did great at making announcements and preparing people for their speeches. Highly recommend!

To say we are overjoyed with Rhythm and Lights is an understatement. They are priced very fairly, have all the equipment they will need, and are very professional and friendly to work with. Due to Rob’s accident, things switched gears in terms of work flow but the staff figured out a way to not miss any gigs. This says it all. The dedication to their clients is everything. A week or so before our wedding day, we were emailed a lengthy survey regarding music choices, timing, family walking down the aisle, etc. We weren’t expecting it to be that thorough, but we’re so glad it was! Everything was followed to a T. Our DJ, Angie, was phenomenal. We had a windy day outside and she coordinated with our wedding coordinators to ensure timing of the music would be perfect. It was apparent she was experienced, as I’m sure the whole staff is. She kept guests on the dance floor the whole night and as they were leaving, guests were raving about the music selection. Well done! We also used the photo booth and were impressed with the selection of backgrounds and options. Overall, we are thrilled with how our night went and would refer Rhythm and Lights to anyone in need of a DJ!

Rhythm and Lights were great to work with and we had to have Kevin fill in due to some extenuating circumstances. Overall an amazing experience with a very knowledgeable group of people.

Kevin was the DJ for our wedding and he absolutely rocked it! There is not a single thing more we could have aske of him. He truly went above and beyond! We even had to change up the ceremony at the last minute due to forgetting our sandpouring kit. He made the changes and executed flawlessly. We worked with Rob leading up to the event and he coordinated the details thoroughly. I would hire them again without a doubt! What a wonderful company!

Rhythm and Lights was great to work with! I was in contact with Rob, the owner for many emails. He was willing to answer any and all questions I had and set up a phone call to review things before the wedding day. He was willing to work with our budget to make sure we had a great day! Chris was the DJ the day of and he was great! He showed up early in order to set up and check in before the ceremony got started. He made sure all the right details were in place, checked in if we needed anything, did a great job emcee-ing, and had everything running on time or ahead of schedule. He made sure to communicate to everyone what they needed to be doing and when. I would definitely recommend the Rhythm and Lights team to help DJ your wedding or event

Conflicted on how I wanted to review. On one hand Mitch is amazing!! Absolutely loved our DJ he did an amazing job, would definitely hire him again! I would give just him 5 out of 5 stars. But. Rob, the one who handles the conversations before hand, I would give him 1 star. Horrible at communicating. He would only reply to emails if he felt like it, when signing the contract I was told that I would get a one on one meeting before to go over details, I asked about it on here and in email when I didn’t get a response and I still didn’t get a response, but answered in 2 min when I asked if he wanted a day of schedule for the DJ. Also, asked twice about a song change from the schedule and got ignored both times. Then the day before my wedding I got an email saying I owed him over $600 but I payed in full when I signed the contract. He never even said sorry for the mistake.
