Emmett is absolutely outstanding and worth every penny! He made my wedding day and the weeks leading up to it so much less stressful. I didn't have to worry about any details the day of as he took care of everything behind the scenes. I live out of town and have a very demanding day job, so my ability to plan my wedding in Richmond was a bit limited. Emmett was so helpful in answering my questions, coordinating with vendors, and dealing with small details that I wouldn't have even considered. I was about 10 months into wedding planning, and two months away from the wedding, when I realized I might be in a little over my head. Our wedding was at a DIY venue and we were to provide everything from the plates to the booze… and about a million other little details I didn’t realize went into planning a wedding. Everyone simply enjoyed themselves and were impressed with how well the day went. After our incredible day, we had an issue with one of our vendors that took a few months to resolve. Emmett continued to help us work through it to come to a resolution. There is no question his clients are important to him. Emmett knows weddings, and he will work to make your day wonderful.

Emmett was our wedding day coordinator, and it was such a pleasure to work with him! We are so happy that we decided to have him at both our ceremony and reception at The Renaissance. He put everyone at ease and made sure the bridal party looked uniform (all their accessories in place). He kept track of the timing pre-ceremony, which was a huge help! At the reception, he again kept track of the timing of events and keeping everyone in check. I felt at ease because I knew I didn’t have to worry about where everyone was, or what time everything was happening. Just one example of the personal touch that Emmett has: my father was at my reception, but unable to dance because of health problems, so when we had the anniversary dance, Emmett got up and danced with my mom! It made my mom really happy. He also created a day-of timeline for us which was a huge help. If we had to plan a wedding again, we would choose Emmett again in a heartbeat!

I was initially on the fence about hiring a wedding planner... type A inside told me I could handle it and keep it all organized...that goes out the window when it's your actual wedding. I can't say enough good things about Emmett...his advice, his professionalism and ability to make all things happen is invaluable! My wife and I were stationed in California at the time of our wedding. She is from Richmond, and that is where we had our heart set for the wedding. Simply put, Emmett was our wedding hero. From day one he listened to our far-fetched ideas and took everything we said in stride. It was the smoothest wedding planning experience. He listened to our wedding dreams, scrolled through our pinterest, took our budget into account, and then seamlessly recommended the perfect vendors. I showed him a picture of a bouquet, and next thing I know, he is sitting down discussing flowers with the flower guys and ordering the perfect combinations as I sat near by and said, “sure, what he said!” Emmett is more than a wedding planner. He genuinely cares about his clients and always wants to hear the latest life updates. He takes his job seriously and will do anything and everything to make sure we stay relaxed and feel valued. For instance, on our wedding day, the only bridge leading into our small town was shut down for several hours, and all vendors, wedding guests, and Emmett’s own staff is on the wrong side of the bridge. So Emmett goes to set all the tables on his own. Meanwhile, a crazy storm rolls in. I’m talking hail, and horizontal rain. Everything gets drenched, so Emmett strips the linens, and finds a washer and dryer. He does over 5 loads of laundry and then goes out and resets the tables. After he finishes with the tables he calmly comes upstairs where girls are doing hair and make-up in a cozy oblivion. We mention that the bridge is closed, and he calmly says, “oh, don’t worry about it. I’m not stressed, if the vendors are late, then the guests will also be late! It’s not a problem at all.” Turns out, when the vendors showed up, Emmett ensured everything was ready and perfect on time, despite the huge time constraint. He never even batted an eye around me. I really can’t toot his horn enough. He is cool, calm and collected. He is organized, and deeply experienced in the art of weddings. He is creative, and works best when you give him an idea and give him the freedom to do his thing.

The phrase I heard most on my wedding day was "Thank God for Emmett!" When I started out planning for my wedding, I didn't intend on hiring a coordinator but I am so glad I did! Emmett is an absolute expert in this industry and knew all the little details I was overlooking. On the wedding day there was very little I had to do, he took care of everything and allowed us to sit back and take it all in. Best wedding planning decision I ever made!

Watching him coordinate and make every detail perfect for this wedding I knew then I had to have him as my wedding planner. He is super nice and made the entire wedding planning process easy it was stress free! He helped me make decisions and even explained to me things I had no clue about with having a wedding. Emmett was truly fantastic and a great wedding planner to work with! He always made sure my mom and I were on track with the plans and the budget. By the time the last month before our wedding rolled around, we had nothing left to do. Wedding week (and day of) were stress free thanks to Emmett. Emmett is truly one of a kind. We had our wedding at the Renaissance and didn't have to worry about a thing! He was so much fun to work with throughout the planning process. The day of the wedding, he took my husband and I on a tour of the ballroom before anyone else was there so we got to see how beautiful he made it look. Then he took us into our own private room with hors d'oeuvres and wine for a little alone time before being introduced. He made us each plates for dinner and sat us down so we were actually able to eat for a few minutes! He continued to bring us drinks throughout the night and made sure everyone was having a great time. We were able to drop off the items for the reception the week of the wedding so we did not have to rush to do it the morning of or day before. I knew we had nothing to worry about, and he took care of us from start to finish. He was amazing!

When first planning our wedding my husband and I thought we could do it on our own-we were wrong. The best thing we did was hire Emmett! Our meetings were relaxed and he helped us find vendors (who were all amazing) and stay on budget. The biggest difference a wedding planner makes is taking away the stress of your wedding day and let you just enjoy your special day with your family and new husband/wife. Emmett and Richmond Bridal Consulting were so nice to work with. We starting planning our wedding 13-14 months before the actual day. In fact Emmett was not even our first choice of wedding planner, but he was definitely the right choice. Emmett is amazing with difficult parents (mom-zillas) and with difficult vendors. My favorite things to say over the planning process (and even on the day of the wedding): "I don't know, ask Emmett" because Emmett has an answer and a solution for almost everything, everyone, and every problem. If you are looking for a planner who is crafty and hands on artsy to make your Pinterest wedding dreams come true, Emmett is not for you. BUT if you know what you want and how you want your day to look, Emmett will guide you to it and make sure it happens. He will guide you through every step of the process. Emmett not only pointed me to the perfect caterer, he dealt with the most horrible of venue vendors for me. Emmett will help you stay on budget, and not miss a single detail. Because of Emmett we found the most amazing band and the best photographer in Richmond, as well as one the easiest florists to work with. It rained right up until my ceremony time and Emmett still made an outdoor ceremony possible. As far as I know the day, despite the weather, went off without a hitch. I'm sure there were issues (I was only aware of 1) throughout the day, but that's how good Emmett is, I only knew about 1 problem, which Emmett took off my hands and handled. It's not just how Emmett does his job though, Emmett is an amazing person who cares about his work and his clients. I am glad to say that after the year + long planning experience Emmett wasn't just my planner, but he is also my friend. Thank you Emmett and RBC.

Emmett was great with helping plan our wedding. He knew what would work to keep us within budget and kept us (me) in place when I started heading towards things that were too expensive or not worth the money. He basically held my hand through the whole process and was available to answer any and all questions I had. It was so nice to just be able to email or text him when I had a question come up instead of spending hours on the internet trying to figure it out myself. You still do a lot of the planning yourself because so many decisions are personal (color scheme, invitations, decorations, attire, hair/makeup, etc.), but Emmett was able to help me make decisions regarding everything. The day of the wedding, he was amazing. I literally just couldn't believe how much he did for us. We didn't have to worry about anything. He kept everything on the timeline we laid out, made sure we had food and drinks, got the presents and other items into the right cars, and made us an amazing "to go" bag of food and cake. If you have or can find the money in your budget to hire Emmett, it will be one of the best things you spend your money on during the whole wedding planning process. He was great!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time working with Richmond Bridal Consulting. It was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made. Planning an event like a wedding is a huge job, one with which I had very limited experience. Because of Emmett, the planning was painless and our event was amazing, better than we ever could have imagined! His professionalism and warmth kept the process from being stressful and overwhelming. I could not thank Emmett enough for everything. Throughout the year, he helped me to make good choices and think about things I would never have thought needed to be done. He really knows weddings and Richmond wedding vendors. He really does. I would have had not a clue where to go and what to do. Honestly, all the help planning was almost a bonus. He was worth his fee just for the day of coordinating. You never know how many little things are going to go wrong the day of your wedding and he was able to handle all of them. My wedding was somewhat challenging because I had friends and family providing the cakes and flowers (we had a ton of flowers). The few problems I knew about were handled and I'm sure there were tons others. He and his assistant, Kyle, made sure everything that needed to be done was done. He coordinated with all the vendors and made sure everything looked great and ran smoothly. Emmett even made us plates and guarded us until we were done eating. Sounds minor, but you try throwing a big party for yourself then tell people you need to eat before you can talk to them and see how well that goes. Nobody tells you how hard it is to not starve at your own wedding. To top it off, our leftovers, cake and car key were delivered to our room so we could go enjoy the after party. What a life saver...I didn't have to eat my new husband on our wedding night. All that and he even helped me clean up the bourbon I spilled all over my dress. He's a doll and he's worth every penny. Don't waste your time spending a ton of money on a wedding and think you don't need his help.

We intitally we not planning on hiring a wedding planner, but I had received an email from Richmond Bridal Consulting. I decided to email back and forth and finally went in for a meeting with Emmett. He promised us a stress free wedding and promised to help keep us on budget. Wig saying this, my fiancé, now husband, said that we were going to hire him. Emmett has done everything he promised us and more! I would highly, highly recommend hiring Emmett to help you plan your perfect day. He is really amazing and his assistant Kyle is so sweet as well. He carries hair pins in his hair to help us girls with our random flying hairs. I do not have enough nice things to say about Emmett and Kyle. Seriously folks, he is worth everything. Emmett at Richmond Bridal Consulting was the saving grace for my wedding day! I was a very laid back bride with little direction for my wedding day. I knew I wanted it to be beautiful, and Emmett took it from there. From day 1, we decided to go with Emmett because he was able to provide us with an actual plan for our wedding day and give us a full run down of where our money would go, what would be the focal point of our décor, and his plan for our vendors. Since I was an out of town bride, my mother did most of the in-person meetings with Emmett and they formed a fast friendship! His friendly nature made him a joy to work with and someone you want to grab coffee with when its all over! This has led to great relationships with vendors, so that he was able to get us the best deal and best quality when shopping around for tables, chairs, fabrics, and tents. When I showed up at the venue on that morning, it far surpassed my expectations. I feared that the weather would put a damper on our big day, but Emmett was able to turn a foggy muggy outdoor wedding into a beautiful, intimate, and warm tented affair! Things could NOT have gone more smoothly day of, as my husband and I were able to glide swiftly through our wedding day without a single concern. He told us where to be each time we were needed and let us enjoy ourselves when we were not. In addition, his assistant Kyle was there to ensure that ANYTHING we needed was provided to us. Every member of the bridal party felt cared for and relaxed throughout the day as Emmett and his team carried their responsibilities with poise and ease! Emmett and his team were fantastic. I got married in October, the weekend of hurricane Joaquin, and my wedding had to be moved from an outdoor venue to somewhere inside within 72 hours of the wedding. Emmett made countless phone calls and emails to all of my vendors to smooth the transition and make sure we had everything we needed to pull off the event in a completely different venue and still stay within our budget. He responded to all of my calls and emails along the way with solid advice and great recommendations. His relationships with vendors were extremely helpful and allowed flexibility during the planning process. Finally, Emmett's day-of coordination was great. When my daughter became engaged in 2014 and began planning her wedding I knew we would need someone to help her see her vision come to life. I contacted Emmett Hickam who immediately returned my call and the fun began!! The ceremony was to be held at the Edgar Allan Poe Museum Enchanted Garden with reception at Brandermill Country club. I will admit that the vision my daughter had was different than mine but with Emmett's help and encouragement he made it happen. He knew exactly what she had in mind. When she and I saw the room at Brandermill it brought her to tears. It was more than she had hoped for in everyway. It was stunning, elegant yet fun as well. He worked closely with the other vendors to make sure that Rachael got everything she wanted. Emmett was awesome to work with. Professional yet easy going. He attended to all the details and helped keep everyone focused. He was always a positive influence and kept us calm in what could be a very stressful time. He listened to what Rachael and Devin had to say but always gave his opinions and suggestions. At the rehearsal and wedding he was "Here, There and Everywhere" (the song Rachael walked down the Aisle to) taking care of details not even thought of by me. Our meetings with Emmett were well scheduled and productive as well as fun. The one thing that my daughter said the week before the wedding was how sad she was because "now we have no more meetings or talks with Emmett". We wanted someone who knew the business but was direct and to the point. We're both busy and we wanted a planner who could give us quick and correct answers and help us make decisions by eliminating some of the overwhelmingly large selection of options with certain decisions. Emmett was just what we were looking for to help us plan our wedding day. We used his services for partial planning help and he was extremely responsive and available to us. We met with him several times in person including a site visit where he totally reorganized our plans for the better! He has strong vendor connections and helped coordinate some of the big efforts with them. With his help we were able to pull off our perfect vision in just four months. We couldn't have done it without him and as an additional benefit he is a fun guy to work alongside.

Emmett was so great throughout the whole planning process, but he really shined on our actual wedding day! He made sure we had food, drinks, the guests were happy, the gifts were ready to go, every little detail! It was so nice having someone to figure all of that stuff out the day of, so that I could actually enjoy my wedding. OMG!!! Bridal Consulting made my Wedding day flawless. Emmett Hickam of Richmond Bridal Consulting completely blew me away with how great of a job he did coordinating my wedding! He is attentive, he listens to what you want and takes into consideration the budget you are working within. He most impressed me on the day of my wedding, he remembered little things that I would not.. For example, lining everyone up for the entrance and folding my Dad's handkerchief (that my Dad almost forgot) and making sure I was not stressed at all! Throughout the process of working with him (about 7 months) he listened to the vision that I wanted and helped me and my husband with making decisions to capture that. He also gave us "homework" and concrete tasks to complete by a deadline. My groom and I wanted to plan the best New Year's Eve party anyone had ever seen! We wanted the vibe to be fun and festive, yet sweet and romantic as we began our new lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Emmett had a fabulous way of taking my vision and fine-tuning the creative details. It was like what I was picturing in my mind he was able to put into words, and into reality on the evening of our event. Emmett is awesome and very professional. I had trouble setting up a time to meet with him due to our busy schedule before the wedding but he was flexible and able to help us out when we needed it. He was also very knowledgeable about all things weddings and gave us good suggestions. My sister did not help me into my dress correctly and it was uncomfortable during the ceremony in a different location. As soon as we saw Emmett at the reception he helped fix it very fast.

I originally contacted Emmett due to his wonderful reviews on theknot.com, and I couldn't be happier that I did. From the very beginning I knew that he was exactly what I needed for my Valentine's Day wedding. He was organized, professional, well-connected, and above all friendly and personable. And amazingly, he was also affordable! He did much more than a day-of planner usually does, offering suggestions for vendors (including an amazing and budget-friendly videographer), meeting frequently, and always being available through email/phone/text. On the day of my wedding, some things didn't go as I expected (due to a vendor that I chose on my own), as is the case for most weddings. However, Emmett immediately stepped in to offer not just suggestions to fix the situations, but also to offer a kind word and a little perspective. It was amazing to be able to relax on my day and leave the details to someone that is so capable. I would recommend Emmett to anyone and everyone planning an event.

We hired Emmett for both the ceremony and reception, and we could not have been more pleased with him. He is willing to be a hand holder throughout all of the major decisions. Due to his expertise, I trusted his advice for just about everything I had questions on. Emmett takes his job very seriously, and you can tell he enjoys every second of it. He took such good care of us on our wedding day, and we'd have been lost without him. He made sure that we stuck to all of our timelines, that we ate a full meal at our reception, that we never had an empty drink, and we can honestly say that nothing went wrong on our wedding day. We had many friends impressed with his attentiveness, and they were wishing that he had been their on their wedding days. He took much of the stress out of the wedding day, which left us to just enjoy ourselves. We couldn't have done it without his help. I would highly recommend his services...I believe it is a small price to pay for peace of mind on your wedding day.

Richmond bridal consulting was absolutely awesome! Emmett worked with me on every single detail and was always available by email or phone when I had questions or concerns. He made sure that everything went smoothly during the rehearsal and wedding. I absolutely recommend them for planning your big day! They are absolutely wonderful and they will make sure your day is magical! The location I had my wedding offered a package with them included so I am not sure how much their individual packages are but I believe they are very reasonable!

The most amazing wedding planner you could ever dream of, shout out to Emmett! This man just exudes confidence, he knows exactly what he is doing, it's magical. I gave him my vision and not only did he bring it to life, he exalted it! Every single detail, he blew it up, made everything bigger and better than I ever could have imagined. I felt like I was working with a friend, he was just as excited for the big day as me, he was part of our event. The entire process was special and personal. I truly felt like a queen dealing with Emmett, he granted my every wish and made every single step simple and easy. I barely lifted a finger! He was consistently available for me at all times, all it took was a simple call, email, even text!! It was literally “ask and you shall receive”. When planning a wedding, there are so many different choices - one of the very best decisions that I made was to hire Richmond Bridal Consulting to coordinate my wedding day. As soon as I met Emmett, I knew that we would make a great team. He is creative, honest, and so caring. Above all else, Emmett is a true professional with plenty of solid experience in the business. He is not your “friend of a friend” who coordinates 1-2 weddings per year in their spare time. Emmett works many, many events and has a lot of connections and contacts which will prove INVALUABLE in planning your day. Emmett was always accessible by phone/e-mail/text. Whenever we met, I always felt like I was his important bride and that our wedding was his top priority - even though I knew that our wedding was one of many that he coordinated this year. Emmett let me know at the very beginning of our working relationship that he would be unable to coordinate the day of our event and would be sending an associate in his place. At first, I wondered how on earth I could put my trust in someone besides Emmett but then I met the wonderful Monica! She managed each aspect of our day with grace and aplomb. As the bride, I did not need to sweat the small stuff because I knew that Monica had everything under control. It may be tempting to forgo hiring a professional coordinator in favor of allocating money in your wedding budget elsewhere. My advice - write the check. Ensure that a professional is coordinating this very important day to you, your fiance, and your families. Most importantly choose someone you can trust - Richmond Bridal Consulting is the best!

Richmond Bridal Consulting is the absolute best in the RVA area. As a long distance bride trying to plan a wedding all on my own from 3000 miles a way I, unknowingly, hired someone else first. When that person turned out to be a disaster my Maid of Honor found RBC and Emmett. She called him 5 days before my wedding to see if he could help with the rehearsal and the day of coordination of the wedding. He was so responsive and willing to help (luckily my wedding was on a Sunday, so he was able to help! even though he had a full weekend of other weddings!). I spoke to him and he immediately put me at ease. We agreed to meet to discuss details and after a couple of hours I felt 1000 times better about my wedding. He is a true pro and knew how to take my vision and all the work I had put in and just make it even better, more seamless, and so much easier for me. Not to mention he knows just about EVERYONE in Richmond and Charlottesville who do anything for weddings. He even made arrangements to be able to help with the rehearsal! Richmond Bridal Consulting saved my wedding and my day went off without a hitch - he even had to help assemble things that someone else bailed on the day of and did so without a complaint or an ill word! Our day was absolutely magical and more than we ever could have imagined and I owe so much of that to Emmett and Richmond Bridal Consulting. He has such a great eye, is thoughtful, detailed, organized, and kept checking with us as the night went on but he never interrupted anything and just let us enjoy our night. I could go on and on but I can't thank him enough for all he did. He saved the day and all of my family and friends could NOT stop raving about him! So thank you so much Richmond Bridal Consulting!

I cannot say enough positive things about Emmett at Richmond Bridal Consulting! We were lucky that his services were complimentary with having our reception at The Renaissance, but we could quickly see how talented, valuable, and professional he was so we hired him as our day of coordinator. It was one of the best decisions we made for our entire wedding. He was able to give honest, professional feedback, and I knew I could always trust him to respond promptly to any questions I had. With him coordinating our day, we were able to leave all of our worries behind and truly enjoy all of the treasured moments from our day.

I wish I could give 10 stars. As any bride knows, wedding planning can be very stressful. I can honestly say, I could not have done it without Emmett. He pointed us in all the right directions for vendors, dealt with all of them, and kept us under our budget. He was always there to alleviate any questions or problems that came our way. One of the things I loved the most about him is that he's not afraid to tell you if something won't work. He's full of suggestions and will find a way to make your wedding a dream come true. Our wedding day was absolutely AMAZING! He was there the entire day dealing with vendors and making sure everything was perfect and in place. He was so calm and had everything under control. All we had to do was just sit back, relax, and enjoy the day. He even fixed our plates for us. I cannot say enough great things about Emmett and his company. If you hire him, I promise, you will not be disappointed. Instead of stressing, you'll actually be able to enjoy your special day. He's worth it! I miss him already :-)

I worked with Emmett during my wedding (from planning to the day of and even after). Emmett was a rock start! Since my wedding was through The Renaissance, Emmett was the amazing coordinator who was there to help me (along with the Renaissance team!). He always stayed in touch, was quick to respond to any emails, helpful in guiding both my husband and I through the process that is having a wedding. He was wonderful during the rehearsal as well as making sure everything went smoothly the day of. We even had a time where Emmett was right there to step in during the day of to resolve a situation (that was no fault of my venue's at all or his). It made for a perfect stress free evening. Where do I begin to explain how amazing The Renaissance is. From the very beginning of the wedding planning process I had good vibes that The Renaissance was the perfect venue for our wedding. The staff that I worked with from the very beginning, Darius and Tommy were amazing, patient, and professional. I had hundreds of questions before even book the venue and they answered each with patience, ease, and made me feel comfortable. The rest of the process was a breeze. Tommy guides you through every step of the process and is always available. From the meal tasting to our payments, we felt guided throughout the process and couldnt wait for our big day. I was amazed that such a large venue could pay so much attention to the small details and make everything perfect. Everyone asked me how the day went and my reply is still the same..."It was beyond anything I could have planned/imagined for myself. Everything was perfect, and if something went wrong I didnt know about it and it was all taken care of." I must say I was also glad to be able to brag and say "My husband and I actually got to enjoy our delicious meal without having to great our guests during dinner time...it made our first meal together wonderful and allowed us more time to walk around and mingle and great our guests." Many couples cannot say the same! The food was delicious, day of staff (Emmett, Debra, Ernest, Precious, and all the other staff) made the evening spectacular. Our guests all enjoyed themselves, and are still talking about the great time they had. If you want a beautiful, elegant, venue that does everything, then The Renaissance is the venue for you!!!! Thank you for making our special day a dream come true and providing us with an amazing experience that we will cherish forever!!!!

I cannot possibly say enough good things about Emmett. I worked with Emmett in planning my wedding at the Renaissance in downtown Richmond, VA, and I am SO SO SO glad I did. He is an expert in all things wedding and had great ideas and tips in helping us put together our big day. And, the day of the wedding, everything went FLAWLESSLY thanks to Emmett. This man is seriously a wedding ninja. He kept everyone and everything in order, he was very attentive, personable, and I genuinely felt like he was excited to be a part of our big day. He did everything from organizing the rehearsal to helping us with decorations to facilitating group pictures to actually getting a grass stain out of my wedding dress (and much, much more). Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty. If you work with Emmett, you will absolutely not be disappointed. He is THE BEST.

We were connected with Emmett at Richmond Bridal Consulting through our reception venue, The Renaissance, about two months prior to our wedding when they began their partnership. Emmett was part of our package to "run the show" for the reception. After meeting with him to go over our reception, he mentioned that we can hire him for the entire day, and it was well worth it! At that point, the only vendor we had left to find was a DJ (DJ Jim, the owner of Music of the Times). With his help, we saved more than it actually cost for us to get Emmett for the entire day. The return on our investment was much more than that though. I didn't worry about anything through out the wedding day. He had it all taken care of and if anything bad happened, I did not and still do not know about it. Everyone in our families and many of our guests mentioned how great Emmett was to everyone. I highly recommend working with Emmett for at least all of the day of coordination, if not more. He is well worth it!

I called Emmett about 1.5 months before the big day realizing I was getting lost in the details of the day and wasn't sure how to structure the timeline of events from the ceremony to the exit. Emmett sold us with his professional attitude and clear explanation of services provided. I had 3 meetings with him in advance of the wedding to explain the venue site, the timeframe we had at the venue and other venue limitations, and Emmett starting building our timeline and asking key questions that I had overlooked. Week of the wedding when my fiance told me the band he booked was double booked, I immediately called Emmett to get the details of this major SNAFU and Emmett was able to get all the of questions answered that my fiance failed to ask ;) and assured me that we ok. Emmett planned and directed our rehearsal on site, which was so helpful since we had a friend officiate and none of us would have known how to manage rehearsal without him so that service was extremely valued. Finally, on the wedding day, Emmett helped set up everything with the family and our helpers and I know he was put to work as the weather was teasing us right before the ceremony. Emmett helped ensure that regardless of the weather, that all of the decorations were tastefully placed and that everything looked perfect. While I was not completely sold on the purpose of a day-of coordinator prior to the wedding, I can honestly say that I could not have done it without him. As your wedding flies by before your eyes and you barely have time to think, Emmett is there busy as a bee ensuring that your venue is perfect, that from the ceremony to the final farewell is on time, and that you and your groom are able to simply have the time of your lives. I highly recommend Emmett to anyone.

Emmett was my day-of consultant at The Renaissance for my wedding. He was fantastic! He made my life so simple on my big day - I felt like I just had to float through, enjoying myself, and Emmett took care of the rest. He was also great beforehand - making sure we were both up to speed on what needed to be done, prompt in getting back to me (or bugging me to get back to him!), and overall a pleasure to work with. Emmett Hickam with Richmond Bridal Consulting definitely saved my sanity throughout the wedding planning process. I already had the major details figured out- location, vendors- and he helped to fine tune the small details that we would have never thought of. He was always readily available and never made me feel like I was bugging him or taking up too much of his time. The week of the wedding, he helped me figure out what to do (outdoor wedding with rain in the forecast is always nerve racking!) Even when we thought we had a plan in place, the weather changed and he promptly addressed my concerns. He was amazing and was able to contact the party rental company and arrange for heaters. The day of the wedding, he made everything run so perfectly! When I arrived to the site, everything was set up and looked amazing. He kept us on time, which was important to us. After the ceremony, he made sure that we had a few moments of alone time before having to talk with everyone. At the reception, Emmett made sure that we were able to sit down and eat, bringing food to the table and even asking if we wanted more. Throughout the reception, he made sure that we had drinks in our hands and were having a great time. I have heard many guests compliment how impressive he was at making sure everything was perfect.
