Richmond Hall

Richmond Hall was the perfect event space for our Philadelphia wedding. From the cool bar in the basement with exposed stone and copper pipe lighting to the main ballroom lined with chandeliers and a great stage for live music, Richmond is a beautiful venue for any wedding. The staff is extremely accommodating from initial contract to the day-of event, making sure the bride, groom, and their guests are taken care of. The food is five stars and so is the service!

I cannot overstate what an amazing venue this is!!! Preparation leading up to the event was so easy with Lauren guiding us and answering all of our questions promptly and helpfully. The week of, she was super accommodating and hands-on, offering help even where she didn't have to, like supply transport and helping lug cases of beer with us. Coordination and prep overall was a breeze! The day of our wedding was AWESOME. Outside of it just being a gorgeous venue, the staff were amazing. Bev was instrumental in making everything run smoothly from rehearsal, to the night of. She was so helpful and attentive, offering my husband and I assistance with anything we needed throughout the night. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable - bringing us snacks we didn't get a chance to try during the cocktail hour, making sure we always had a drink in our hand, and just being reassuring about everything over the course of the evening. My bridal party were raving about how they all wanted to bring her home with them, she was such a pleasure to have around!! Our maitre d Jerry was fantastic and orchestrated the night perfectly. Michelle was wonderful and ran the kitchen smooth as butter. And the food was delicious - our guests were so pleased, and many took the servers up on an offer of 'seconds' which I have never seen a wedding venue do! Everyone I've spoken with was so impressed with how friendly and hard-working all of the staff were, from the bartenders, to the servers, to the valet service. My husband and I, and all of our guests, had such a wonderful experience - we truly couldn't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. If you are considering booking here - take our advice - DO. We just got married at Richmond Hall this weekend, and cannot stop thinking about the exceptional job that they did. The hall itself is absolutely beautiful; the guests raved about the unique space. It truly is a hidden gem. Working with Lauren was great; she was awesome at communicating the things that we needed to do, and had great ideas that helped our day to run smoothly. Bev was beyond accommodating; she made sure that we always had something to eat and a drink in hand. We could not have asked for more from the staff as a whole. We've been replaying moments from this night for the past 24 hours, and are so glad that we went with Richmond Hall as our reception venue!

When I got engaged i immediately started looking for venues that were affordable, but also nice and elegant. I called tons of places and Richmond Hall happened to be one of those places. I immediately fell in love with the venue once I walked though their beautiful Crystal Room and told my fiancé we had to book this place for our wedding to help my vision come to life. Now let's fast forward to the night before my wedding which is when I met my amazing day of coordinator Ms. Beverley. She assured me she would make my day as perfect as possible and be there for me if I needed anything. The moment we entered through the door for our Big Day we were greeted with open arms and everything looked amazing and really fit my vision. The entire staff were pleasant and willing to assist with anything we needed. Omg my first look of my reception room I still fall in love thinking about how beautiful and amazing it was and I knew at that moment my guest were gonna be blown away. Everyone loved the food, venue and staff and people actually stated they would book the same venue for their big day. I can't thank everyone enough. Lauren is amazing and answered all my many questions without hestiation. If I could do my day over again I wouldn't change anything and it was all because of Richmond Hall staff who helped it come together with my vendors! My husband and I appreciate it very much!

I got married on August 13th. It was truly the best day of my life for so many reasons - but one major one being Richmond Hall. We've heard so many guests say how amazing the food was and how impressed everyone was with how much was provided. Lauren was great leading up to the wedding and Beverly truly put my mind at ease a few days before and the day of. The place looked amazing and the Valet service provided went very smoothly - there were no complaints about that. Everything was very reasonably priced and I would recommend Marios catering service to anyone and everyone. Really wish I could relive the entire day. Thank you so much to all the staff who were so kind and good at what they did.

Our wedding ceremony and reception were held at Richmond Hall on 10/3/2015. We cannot rave enough about how amazing it was! Everything from our initial visit to the venue with Lauren to the day-off with the lead staff member, Rita, was perfect. The food was delicious and even though we opted for passed hors d'oeuvres and a few stations rather than a sit down dinner everyone had plenty to eat. We, as the bride and groom, of course had no time to eat -- but Rita made us plates and set us up at a table so we could finally get a bite. She never let us be without a beverage in our hands and when there was a little technical difficulty with our DJ she swooped in to keep us and the guests occupied with the cake cutting until he was ready. I hand made all of our decor and wanted some of it used in both the ceremony (in the basement) and the reception hall upstairs. The staff moved the decor without me even noticing. I have been getting calls and texts from family members all week about it being the best wedding they've ever been too. I HIGHLY recommend Richmand Hall!

Absolutely perfect! Everyone was so helpful before, during and after our big day. We are so happy we chose Richmond Hall as our wedding venue. The hall in itself was rich with detail and charm. The staff was more than accommodating and willing to answer all of our annoying questions. They are truly a hidden gem of Philadelphia. I got married in Richmond hall in Philadelphia September 20 this year, Lauren, Patty and the rest of the staff are amazing. From day one the treatment and the help that we got it was excellent. My wedding was perfect. My guest are still taking about the food and the great service they got. Thank you for making our day so special.

We absolutely loved this venue. The atmosphere was exactly what we had pictured with high ceilings, exposed wood, and the downstairs has stacked stone walls and stone floors. The cost was the most reasonable price we found ANYWHERE. It included eight passed hor d'oeuvres, one cold station, one hot station (our choice was homemade pierogies!!), three entree choices, petit fours, a cake, and an open beer and wine bar with mixers for any liquor we brought. The whole time leading up to the wedding, Lauren was always available and I really appreciated that. I am still finishing up college and working while I was planning the wedding and so my mind was all over the place sometimes. I would often forget things that we had talked about and have to ask again or even twice more and Lauren always was quick to answer and never seemed annoyed. Also, I want to give a special mention to Sue who on the day of made everything so easy and was willing to help in any way to make the day go smoothly. Overall, I would recommend this venue to anyone who is planning a wedding in the Philadelphia area. The people are awesome, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect.

Service, food quality, friendliness.... You name it- can no be topped! My husband and I were waited on all night long, my guests were welcomed and had a blast. Can not go wrong with Richmond Hall!

Lauren was incredibly flexible with our requests and executed our vision perfectly. Thanks to Lauren's great attention to detail, everything we arranged was there on the wedding day - from our served pre-ceremony champagne punch to our pierogie station at the end of the night. The wedding party was under your expert care, and the way your staff -- thank you, Rita and Sue -- provided anything and everything we asked for made us feel like royalty that afternoon. From the moment your valets took our cars to the hour when it was finally over and everything was being packed, you were there for us, our vendors, and our guests. One of the wait staff even found a diaper for one of our smallest guests -- now that's service! The venue itself was truly a hidden gem in the Port Richmond neighborhood. I would recommend this venue over and over again. Catering by Mario's: our guests have not stopped telling us how incredible your food was. Receiving most commentary has been the cold seafood table with endless crab and oysters, shrimp the size of lobster tails, lobster tails -- well you get the picture. Even the ice sculpture which presided over the seafood -- your suggestion -- was magnificent. Oh, the lamb chops were raved about as well! And that was all before the stations: the filet mignon (tough to do right for a crowd but perfect nonetheless), the tender pasta in "homemade" sauces, the Viennese table, which we were too full to enjoy, but was also everything we could have wished for. Honestly, we have been told over and over that it was absolutely the best wedding food ever. As you know, the theme of our wedding was "Welcome to Philadelphia," for our many guests from Pittsburgh and beyond. You guys really did us and Philly proud!

I can not say enough good things about Richmond Hall. The staff was amazing and they took such good care of us and our guests on our wedding day. I had 2 people assigned to me the entire time I was there to make sure everything I needed or wanted was fulfilled. I have some food allergies and they catered to my needs without changing the meals for the rest of the guests. The food was amazing and my guests all raved about it. The hall is unique and the look made for great pictures! It's definitely worth a trip to check it out!

Staff was very hospitable and polite

A family friend asked me this weekend if I would have changed anything about the wedding looking back on it. I wouldn't have changed a thing. The service was excellent, the food was great and we were really happy with our experience over all.

I had my wedding here and truly it was a wonderful experience. Lauren their sales representative helped me design a package that was perfect for us, and was very attentive to details. Richmond hall is especially good for couples who want to have medium sized weddings. I had 150 guests and everyone was comfortable. It is also important to note that although the hall provides catering you will need to bring your own florist, dj, and design team to make it your own. Nonetheless this worked for me, because I had a very specific vision. You will not be disappointed if you wed here.

The hall itself is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is amazing! The food is delicious. This was the perfect venue for our reception and I highly recommend this to all future brides.

What I can say about the reception venue was that their services where great the people who work there was very professional.
