Rin is AMAZING. Rin single-handedly handled every single elaborate detail of my stunning wedding dress, from every piece of lace in the detailing to every jewel in the veil. She was basically like an angel to my family because I got married at a time when I was very sick and she was willing to go above and beyond to accommodate my needs as well as provide encouragement, love and support at a time when I needed it. Her service is impeccable, efficient, timely, and she is incredibly talented. She always had a smile on her face and has an awesome sense of humor. I feel so lucky that we randomly found her. I felt like a total princess on my wedding day and it was because of her work and efficiency and kindness in getting everything done with respect to my dress. I cannot thank her enough. She will stop at nothing to get you the wedding dress of your dreams. That’s what she did for me and I am completely confident she will do it for you too. After reading one of the other reviews here, I am shocked and simply don't understand why some people are so unreasonable. My experience with Rin was fantastic and her kind heart shows through every piece of her work. Rin is very dedicated to all her brides. Even her alterations are perfection, if you decide to buy a dress elsewhere. Four months after my own wedding, Rin altered my bridesmaid dress for my sister’s wedding. It looked so elegant and stunning, and I feel marvelous in it and her turnaround time was super fast. Rin is always the best and her services are completely comprehensive to what you need. I am so grateful we found her. Don’t hesitate to work with her if you need someone to alter your dress or find you your dream wedding dress.
Choosing Rin's is easily one of the biggest regrets I have about my wedding planning process. I have never paid so much for someone to make me feel so miserable. If you bought your dress elsewhere, I don't recommend getting your alterations done here unless you want to be shamed for not bringing in a designer dress. If your experience is anything like mine, you will be charged a nosebleed price for imperfect alterations, and then you'll be told repeatedly that your dress is not good and that it can't be fixed anymore because it's a cheap import from China. (My dress was from David's Bridal, an American retailer, and was likely designed in the U.S. It was made in China, but most things are, including iPhones and other high-end products. It wasn't a designer gown, but it was in the middle price range for David's Bridal - around $700 MSRP.)
Rin insisted on being paid upfront, so I paid $820 (!!) upfront to get the skirt hemmed, shoulder straps shortened, and a bustle added. The end result was that the neckline had a buckle and wouldn't lie flat on my chest, and the bustle was lopsided/asymmetrical. Definitely not the quality I expected for how much I paid!
Ava (one of the assistants at the store; sorry if I spelled the name wrong!) is an absolute angel though, and she's the one person in the store who made me feel cared for. Ava gets 5 stars from me - she absolutely rocks at her job.
Rin was so great. Rin's Bridal was the second bridal shop I went to try wedding dresses. When I tried the Stella York dress that I wore on my wedding I fell in love with it and even my family too. Rin was so kind and was able to work with my time frame which is really short time. She did great! Thank you again!
I found Rin's Bridal because they were the only bridal salon in CA that had a Mikaella dress. And I'm so glad I did! My consultant, Frances, was amazing! She helped me think about my wedding day and what dress would be the best fit for me and the day. We tried may different dresses, shapes & styles. Ultimately I did choose the dress that I had gone to see. Frances did a great job measuring me. When I went in for alterations, they only had to hem the dress and add the bustling. I felt beautiful & comfortable on my wedding day!
In early 2021, I was looking for a bridal gown an intimate beachside wedding in Hawaii. I visited a total of 4 bridal shops of varying price range and style; one with a very large selection, a high-end boutique, a generic retail location, and a local boutique, which was Rin's. I went to Rin's with my bff and tried on about 10 dresses of varying styles but all very pretty. I came here because I loved Pronovias dresses and knew they carried them. The sales associate was very sweet and patient and made suggestions according to the styles I liked. Rin is a very involved owner and makes herself available for input during appointments. She has a ton of experience in bridal gowns and alterations and she will give you honest feedback, which I personally appreciate. When going in, it's important to focus on your wedding style and what fits you the best. The differentiator from the other shops was that Rin's had the right amount of styles with varying price ranges. It was the only place where I even liked multiple dresses and it came down to a Kitty Chen and a Madame Burcu. I eventually chose the Madame Burcu and it took about 5 months to arrive. I did 4 fittings as bridal alterations are a lot more nuanced than I thought and Rin made sure to make every slight adjustment. To help, when ordering the dress Rin had already requested to make it fit better to my height. The process of my dress selection, fittings, and alterations was very smooth and pleasant and I can only attribute it to Rin's shop, I would definitely recommend them to any soon-to-be bride!
I had a great experience at Rin's bridal, where I found a dress I truly loved. Rin herself is wonderful, and has a great eye for detail. At my 4th and final fitting, she noticed a couple buttons weren't structurally sound, which I had not noticed at all, and had her seamstress quickly re-enforce them before I took the dress. I had a great experience at Rin's bridal, from start to finish!
I cannot say enough about how great Rin's is! I bought my dress here and also had alterations! Anna, a consultant, was absolutely amazing and made me feel right at home even though I was so nervous. Rin was the same and helped see my vision for my alterations as the completely changed the neckline for me! I highly recommend them for anything bridal. I also got some of my bridal jewelry here that was custom and looked fabulous! thank you to everyone that works there!
If I could give Rin's 10 stars, I would! After having a bad experience at my first salon, I went to Rin's and found a great selection of lace dresses. My consultant, Dominic, was so sweet and helpful in picking out my dress. I went Black Friday weekend, so the dresses were also on sale! After my dress came in, Rin was SO accommodating with the alterations. I am from Stockton (1.5-2 hr drive), and she made sure I got my dress after my second fitting, so I wouldn't have to keep driving back and forth. I am so happy with my dress and can't wait to wear it on my big day. And it's all thanks to Rin's!
Very professional and genuine
No privacy while trying on dresses - ppl in lobby were watching me as well as an employee who was not assisting me but would come stand by me and silently stare. The owner/designer seemed eager to please, which came off as pushy. She asked that if I find another dress elsewhere that I come back to order it from her if she carried the brand. The shop is old, not the cleanest, & some dresses aren’t covered in plastic
I was stationed overseas and upon returning in May 2017, I had a short amount of time to look for my wedding dress for my big day that was happening on Sept 2017. After going to 4 different bridal shops and not being too impressed with either the service of the store or the dress material and options, Rin's Bridal was something I stumbled upon last minute. I called them to make an appointment and Anna picked up the phone and was so concerned with me getting my dress on time, she found time to fit me in that same day. She also gave me a phone number to text pictures of dresses that I liked so that she could start pulling out dress options for me before I arrived.
Upon arriving, although the outside of the store looks a bit outdated, the dresses they offer and the service that is inside the store absolutely make up for it! Anna was the one who helped me and all the dresses she picked out were spot on to the style I wanted -- boho, beachy, and effortless! And I found my perfect wedding dress for the best price! I did want some things altered to it, a v in the back of the dress and a slit in the front. Rin came out and she told me that it was all possible and that they would be able to do all of it before my wedding.
The whole team was incredible and I also found my veil at their store as well. I would highly recommend Rin's Bridal to anyone who is looking for high quality, but reasonably priced wedding dresses with a variety of dress styles fit for all brides! Plus, the tailoring is amazing and the service is top notch. Truly made my experience of finding my perfect dress even more enjoyable.
I found THE dress at Rin's Bridal. The staff are all very friendly and make the experience memorable and fun. They have great collection of designers. The owner, Ran, is also the person I would meet with for my fittings, which I thought was great. Got my dress, veil, and alterations all through Rin's. I definitely would recommend this as a place to stop by during the dress search.
Rin was fantastic in helping me select my wedding dress keeping somewhat within my budget. With much anticipation waiting for my dress to come in 8 months later, it fit perfectly! She also got my bridal party all measured, and ordered their dresses without any hitches. Rin and her team are very friendly and helpful.
I went into Rin's for the Allure Trunk show and found my absolute dream dress! Throughout the entire process Rins Bridal was incredible. Rin herself did all my fittings and she is amazing at what she does. She knows what she is doing, is creative and very talented. Every time I put my dress on I cried tears of joy and my dress fit like a glove on my wedding day.
Rin and her team are so awesome! Being in the business for more than 30 years, she sure does have a lot of knowledge about wedding dresses! It took me only 2 visits before I finally made up my mind for my dream dress. They have plenty of selections and brands there, as well as sample sales. They were so patient and helpful, just make sure you set up appointment with them, so you can get undivided attention. I chose Pronovias because I love their elegant lace! When the dress finally came, Rin is such an expert in making sure your dress fits you perfectly after alterations. She understands how important it is for the bride to look their best. I am so happy I went with Rin to get the dress of my life!
My experience at Rin's Bridal was wonderful! Anna and Cathy treated me like I was a member of their family who was getting married. Rin would pop in and tell me I looked beautiful and help pull out dresses.
I always looked forward to seeing them for my fittings and they made me feel very comfortable. I was the third in my extended family to work with Rin!
I purchased both my veil and dress from Rin's Bridal and they were ready on time and the dress fit great. I was a very happy bride!

I bought my wedding gown, some of my jewelry and did alterations at Rin's. They are a small shop but that means you get quality service and actually get to know the people working there as you go through the process. Rin, the owner, is so sweet and helpful. They have dresses that vary in price and tons of selection. They did the alterations as well and did an amazing job!
My experience with Ellie has been indescribable, she is so amazing and incredible, I love the fact that she treats us like a friend, she is so patient and knows what she does, she is the only one who listened to me, and obviously she's also the one who picked my dress. When it comes to the process of my bridal shopping, we can't stop talking about how wonderful she is, she literally made it unforgettably easy and pleasant for us. She is always there for me, whenever I text her she replies back to me no matter what time of the day is. I dare to say she is one of my friends now. I can't tell how much I like her, she truly played a significant role in my wedding, you ladies will figure it out if you get a chance to meet her.
Before walking into Rin’s Bridal, I had visited 3 of the other highly rated bridal salons in the Bay Area and was starting to see the same dresses over and over again so I was worried that I wouldn’t find the one. I explained to Rin what I was looking for and she showed me some beautiful dresses that fit my description, but then she also added a few specials dresses that she felt would flatter my body type. None of the other salons had dared to suggest a style that was different from what I had described. Rin was spot on with her style choices, which showed the depth of her experience. Rin and her associates continued to work closely with me throughout the fitting process to ensure everything was just perfect. She also had the perfect hair comb to complement my dress. I’ve been looking through all of my wedding photos and I’m so thankful for Rin since my dress just fit me perfectly!
I printed out my wedding dress board on Pinterest with all the designers and style numbers I liked.
One of the consultants took my list to go find the dresses they carried in the store (and they carried a number of them). Diana, another consultant, and I walked the salon and pulled about six dresses for me to try on. She helped me get into some very pretty dresses within my budget. Diana was so sweet and personable. I felt like I was trying on dresses with a longtime friend.
My top favorite dress from my Pinterest board was the one I ended up trying on and falling in love with. I walked away spending $700 total for my dress.
Rin's Bridal was where my fiancé's aunt purchased her dress some 20 years ago and, I later found out, my boss bought her dress here as well. I highly recommend you go to Rin's to find your perfect dress.
I bought my dress at Rin's Bridal!!! My dress was perfect and beautiful and the alterations were reasonably priced, and I was very happy with my experience at Rin's!
Katie helped me, and she's the one who actually found THE dress. She picked it out for me at the beginning of the appointment and I rejected it, and by the end of the appointment I decided, what the heck let's give it a go, and fell in love!
Katie was very patient and helpful throughout my appointment. It was a slow day (super bowl Sunday), so she let me browse for an hour and forty minutes! I've had other bridal stores shoo me out on the hour. Also, Katie obviously has great taste as she could tell what would fit my body type and style best, even when I couldn't. She was also really fun to talk to, which is surprisingly not the case for all of these stores... And she helped me take pictures, which really helps with the decision making process.
Here are more details: I bought a Marisa dress, and there was a bit of an issue getting the French lace. The factory kept pushing back my delivery date, and I was getting really worried about having enough time for alterations! One of the girls told Rin about what was happening, and she took over and comforted me over the phone, and called the factory repeatedly demanding my dress and not taking any excuses! It was really nice to know that Rin cared about me and my dress and had the clout to get things moving.
Not only that, but when we were discussing options for the delivery date etc. I told her I did not want to pay for expedited alterations since I had ordered my dress well in advance, and she said they would help me, no extra charge.
The store has a really big selection too, and Rin is also willing to try to help you with your budget, which is greatly appreciated!
It is not necessarily the fanciest or most high tech, modern store, but I really think the important parts of shopping are the dresses and the staff, and Rin's Bridal is top notch for that!
Rin's was my 4th bridal shop I had gone to, and it was my last. I saw my dress from across the room and had to try it on (plus a few more). They were having a trunk sale on another brand so I wasn't ready to commit yet, but the lady who helped me said they would honor the discount, even though it wasn't the same designer. I wasn't ready to order it yet because I was trying to lose weight, so they said that I could either pay for it in full now, and come back in a few months to order the proper size, or put down a deposit and do the same thing. I ended up paying for it all then, and came back at the end of January to order. A week or 2 after I ordered, the lady called me back to say they were having another sale and wanted to offer me a discount, I told her I had already paid, so instead she put a discount towards my alterations. They said my dress would arrive mid-end of July, so when I got a call at the end of May saying my dress was in, I was SO excited!!! I bought my veil from Rin's as well, they picked it out according to my dress and it was perfect. Alterations were a little pricey, but I wanted to have the best work done, so I shelled out the money. It was worth every penny. Great people working there, great selections, great store!! Highly recommended! (the $1,700 is for dress, veil and alterations)
Rin's is a great place to get your wedding dress. The lady's working there were always nice to me and very helpful. Rin herself is always there and remembers you. I felt like they cared about each person who walked through the door. Great place to get a dress for anyone in the wedding party.
Rin and Julie have been so amazing to me. It was a very stressful yet necessary process having my mom and grandmother present while I had my "yes to the dress" moment. Julie made every effort to reassure my family and I that the dress would be well cared for while we wait for time to pass before the next fitting. She also worked with us to make the dress as affordable as possible while making the perfect suggestions for a sash and veil!
Rin is also wonderful. During my first fitting she was very patient and had the utmost professional demeanor when confrontations reared with my mom...she has my complete trust and she made me feel so confident that my dress will be perfect for my wedding this August!
I am so happy I found my dress at Rin's!
Now that I have worn the dress, I must say her alterations are way over priced. As I was putting the dress on for my wedding day, buttons were falling off! My bridesmaids collected 10 total by the end of the night and after the first couple dances, my bussel stitching came undone and half my dress was hanging out the rest of the night! SO embarrassing! But the worst was the bra. I was told it was sewn in but you could visibly see it the whole time and I was constantly picking up the dress from the armpits because it kept shifting. Uncomfortable. Everyone said I looked great but my bridesmaids kept pulling me aside to fix things every 5 minutes. Thanks to my girls I was able to look decent but the value of this dress is definitely debatable. $800 for alterations, then she added a bra and charged another $60, and it still didn't fit right because of the stitching....there you go, be careful! I have been back several times in person to explain how I needed the dress to be fixed and I live in LA so it was hard on me.
I found my Kitty Chen Blue bell dress at Rins in June 2013 and just got married last month -July 2014. Julie was my consultant when i was dress shopping. I showed her a picture of a lace dress i liked and she pulled a ton of dresses all within my budget and all beautiful and something I would like. My entourage and I had the whole shop to ourselves during dress shopping..It was such a fun experience! They also matched my dress to a perfect long lace veil that was more then i dreamed of! After saying yes to the dress in the end June it arrived in the middle of January. We ended up getting our bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dress at rins too. They have SO many options and again they made it a really fun experience. Rin did a great job with alternations on my dress and bustle. My dress fit like a glove and was the perfect length.
The only reason I give Rins 4 stars and not 5 is because 1 of my bridesmaids straps forgot to get altered even though it was measured and pinned and 2 other bridesmaids straps were still a little big after alterations. Although the straps were a little of Rins was super quick to fix them and was also so warm and friendly! She is super sweet and you can tell she has a ton of experience working in this business. I would definitely recommend this place for a bride dress shopping! Overall it was a great experience!
If you go to Rin's ask for Anna. She knows her stuff and will hook you up! Thank you Anna!
I picked out my dress at Rin's and was able to get a fantastic deal on it off-the-rack! However I was promised the dress would be fully cleaned before I picked it up and was later told it would only be spot cleaned where needed. The alterations ended up matching the cost of the dress, which seemed like a ton but I guess is standard. I had 3 fittings before picking it up, Rin told me it was good after the second fitting, but after all I paid for alterations I wanted it to fit PERFECTLY. Which it pretty much did at the end. I was told the hem cost so much since they would have to move the lace appliques from the bottom of the dress to the bottom of the new hem, but they clearly just cut the bottom of the dress and didn't move any of the detail. It didn't look bad, but was frustrating that they didn't do what I was told I was paying so much for. I am glad to not have to deal with Rin again, as she just bugged me...
Also had my friend get my groom's shirt pressed there and she wasn't happy with how they did (for which they charged $15!) so took it to her brother to iron the day before the wedding.
I chose to order my dress through Rin's bridal because of the personalized service they offered, which stood out from other bridal shops where you feel like you're one of many they're trying to rush through.
Each time I went, I got very good service and they had good attention to detail.
The only problem was that, after paying a good amount of money for the dress and the alterations, the bustle did not hold and ended up falling apart during the reception.
I went to Rin's originally to just get an idea of what style of dress I was looking for. The consultant listened well and I fell in love with the fourt dress I tried on. Being on a natural high knowing I found my dress when I wasn't really looking, I trusted they knew what size dress to order me. Unfortunately they ordered me a dress that was four times too big. I was so upset when I went to try it on that I took it that day as I did not want them to get the alteration business for me. $700 later, the dress fit. Not a happy camper I had to spend that much since the dress was already at the top of my budget. The dress ended up fitting perfectly, but it did cost a pretty penny to get it there.
I had two days to find a wedding dress, and I needed to find either a sample, or a dress that could be ordered and altered in time for my wedding less than 4 months away. Rin's Bridal had a great selection of dresses in a variety of styles and had fantastic prices. I was able to find a sample that worked for me and got a great discount even though it was a current style that could've been ordered from the manufacturer. I did not end of having my dress altered by Rin's, and instead used Nancy's Tailor in San Carlos, which was recommended to me.
I had a good expeirence with Rin's. They make sure you look beautiful on your special day! Only thing is that Rin can be pushy and wants to push you buying every accessory with them, aside from that they are great!
it's a small bridal shop, which is I liked. Staff are really nice...owner can be a bit pushy, so know what you want/don't want going in! But they worked with me...and worked with our budget!
I found Rin's by searching for a particular designer dress and Rin's was the only one who had it. The first time I visited Rin's I felt at ease and their staff was very helpful. I was only there an hour and it wasn't enough time to try on the different styles of dresses. So I knew I wanted to return. The store is small and can get a little hot but that didn't bother me.
I ended up going to a few other stores to try on dresses and found THE dress which was the Casablanca by Enzoani. I remembered Rin's mailing me a card letting me know they were having a sale so I called Rin's to see if they had the dress I wanted and they did AND I could use the discount. Score!
Throughout my whole wedding process the staff at Rin's were great. I had to get a lot altered since Rin recommended I get a bigger dress (which in the long run I probably should have got a smaller size but no biggie). The alterations were a bit pricey (around $500) but in the end, the dress fit me like a glove and I was very pleased. I even purchased the chandelier earrings I wore there too. At my final fitting I still had to take the dress in a little and the staff were accommodating allowing me to try on the dress one final time before I took it home.
Overall I chose Rin's because I knew I would get the attention I needed and I wanted to give my business to them versus a big store. The only negative thing was they don't do fittings on the weekend so my mother wasn't able to participate in this process since she lives an hour away.
It was an Amazing experience.
My maid of honor had got her wedding dress from this place and she took me there to get mine.
Patricia, the lady who works there were very helpful. She helped get so many dress on and off and she help me making the right decision on the best shape and design for my body.
Found my dress there. Kind services.
very nice ladies that are helpful, not pushy. the dress fit like a glove thanks to their wonderful seamstress. i couldnt have been happier
This is the store that pulled my perfect dress but I ended up buying it somewhere else. I felt a bit pressured here and was a little uncomfortable. I ended up getting it at a slightly lower cost somewhere else.
Rin's bridal shop really saved me! First of all, the location is perfect because it was really close to my house. Rin herself was so helpful to me and she made sure everything that I need was being taken cared of. She was not pushy and was really easy to work with. All the girls at the shop were very helpful as well. I'm really glad I stumbled upon Rin's shop because she has very affordable gowns for brides on the budget.
I came with a few photos of dress styles I found interesting. My consultant was fabulous! The first dress took my breath away. My dress party was a room of "awwws". It was so easy. Alterations were pretty painless too, Rin knew what she was talking about and saved me some money too. I would definitely recommend this place. You can find an awesome dress for a really reasonable price. I had my dress, veil and alterations for about $1800.
I went to Rin's without an appointment. I was ignored. Left the store. I asked if they had gowns for the mature bride, and she pointed her finger to all the gowns which were tightly packed together. I went through each one of them and not one associate came up to me. I would never go back.
When I first went to get my dress I met with Isabelle, who sadly is not there anymore. I found my dress after trying on only two or three others. My first few fittings went relatively well, I had to hem my dress then find how many bustles I needed. Around my third or fourth fitting when I started working more with Rin, she kept finding we needed to change a bustle here or there. When I went to pick up my dress (the first time) we saw a giant metal clasp on the outside of the dress, clearly visible on the train. Rin apologized and asked if we could come pick it up the next week (the Wed before the wedding). When we went to pick it up (the second time) the bustles looked absolutely awful. Nothing was lining up well and it all just looked jumbled together. We had to stay an extra two hrs to get my dress fixed while I was wearing it. I would recommend purchasing the dress at Rin's as well as bridesmaids dresses but I was not too please with how the alterations were handled or Rin's excuses.
Rins was the second dress shop I visited. I had received an email letting me know that they were having a clearance event for the previous season's dresses. After trying on half a dozen dresses or so, I found my simple, clean, slightly ruched and beaded gown at a 75% discount.
I knew which dress I wanted before coming to Rin's. I had been calling around all over Northern California to see how low I could get the price dropped on my Maggie Sottero dress. Over the phone, Rin was willing to match any place that offered me the lowest so I ordered my dress from there without ever setting foot in the store. The first time I was in the store was the day I went to pick up my dress. The girl that helped me was very helpful and let me walk around the store as long as I wanted in my wedding dress. It was a great experience.
The reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is because the store looks a bit old and I'm not 100% sure I didn't get a knock off Maggie Sottero, but I have seen the real Maggie Sottero of my dress and if mine is a knock-off, it's pretty exact to the real one. Also, Rin is a little pushy with her sales technique, which I read on yelp before I purchased my dress, so I knew what I was getting into when I went with Rin's Bridal.
