Trisha and her team were flawless. We had a wonderful tasting with them, tried so many different appetizers and entree/side options. Trust her when she says the chicken is good. A lot of people that ordered the beef tried their partner's chicken and said it was fantastic. We had passed appetizers, a seated/served dinner, and no hiccups with 185 guests served in under 45 mins. Her team is fast, accurate, and she helped accommodate several last minute drops that we had. Definitely recommend her for their great pricing too, really hard to beat a homemade meal for a wedding that is very reasonably priced.

We LOVED River City Catering! Trish was incredible and so responsive! The whole team did a fantastic job! My husband and I were so surprised and thrilled to see someone took the time to leave both happy hour appetizers at our table for us to enjoy since we were busy taking pictures while they were being handed out! It’s all in the details! The meal we chose was amazing and everyone was RAVING about the mac & cheese bar for our late night snack! We can’t recommend River City Catering enough! They provided a ton of options for us to try and helped up figure out the amount of food we would need, keeping us within our budget. On the day of the wedding, they were prompt, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure our guests were taken care of. They even helped us clean up other items that were not their responsibility. My goodness if you are looking for a caterer to deliver delicious food and great service, you need to book River City. My expectations were immediately exceeded once we met Trisha in person at our tasting. We had emailed a bunch back and forth because my husband and I wanted a pretty specific menu. They didn’t bat an eye. They didn’t give us an attitude once. They just asked us questions created the dishes (which were so so delicious) to accommodated us. The day of our wedding, our guests kept coming up to us to rave about the food. That was a pretty big deal, considering most of our guests came from New York to celebrate with us. They’re not easy to please. That is exactly what we wanted and Trisha and her team were exceptional. We don’t have one complaint to leave. They were so easy to work with when we had guest count changes, allergies, food requests. Hire them!

Food was absolutely delicious all of our guests kept complimenting about it! They served very quickly and didn’t have a delay in eating!

Several guests commented that our reception meal was as if you were sitting in someone’s kitchen and had just been served a meal fresh off the stove. I think that’s an incredible compliment for a seated meal at a 120-guest reception. Not only was the food tasty, but working with Trisha was a treat. The tasting was the most friendly and helpful of all the tastings we completed in preparation to select a caterer. Throughout the planning process, she was quick to answer any questions I had, and she kept my spirits up whenever I worried about anything. I’ll never forget the hug she gave me the week before the wedding when she could tell I was getting anxious. All this AND an incredibly reasonable price. We would recommend River City Catering unconditionally and feel incredibly lucky for the opportunity to have worked with them.

First off, Trisha was one of our favorite vendors we worked with while planning our wedding. The team at River City did an amazing job of making sure our food was perfect and delicious! As a Bride from New Orleans, FOOD was one of the MOST important elements of my wedding. I have worked as an Event Planner for several years as well as a Catering Director. I have executed many weddings and events and know the huge importance that food plays in having a successful event! After having decided to have a wedding in my Groom's hill-country hometown of New Braunfels, I was worried I wouldn't find much good food outside of BBQ or Tex-Mex. I was also planning a TX wedding from our new residence in Washington state so I had limited time in New Braunfels to actually meet with vendors! I scoured The Knot and online sites and found a few catering vendors to meet with, including River City Catering. From the first email to the wedding day Trisha was prompt in her responses, caring in her approach and open for all of my ideas! Trisha sent me lots of info and menus to look over and we made a tasting appointment based on the groom and my favorites. My Mother and I met with Trisha at the restaurant and were soon presented with plate upon plate of delicious food. During our consultation Trisha realized that my vision for my wedding feast included action stations and a relaxed buffet rather than a traditional seated/plated meal. She quickly changed tactics and her whole demeanor lit up with the excitement of planning a reception filled with food-fun! Trisha and I worked together to come up with a menu that blended our tastes as a couple including Texas, German, Pacific Northwest & New Orlean's cuisines. Since I live in WA, I was only able to meet with Trisha the one time and didn't taste the exact foods that would be served at the wedding, which was a bit stressful, however I had confidence in Trisha's talents and the quality of the food I had tasted. To say the food at our wedding was a success would be a gross understatement! All that night and the whole next day (we had a day after event) guests raved about the food! Favorites included the sliced tenderloin cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, the plump and tasty NOLA shrimp & grits, all of the many apps we served including watermelon brie and chicken & waffles, the stuffed avocados on the taco/nacho bar, and the late-night popcorn bar!! Nothing disappointed! I seriously can't say enough about Trisha and the whole team at River City Catering. If you are considering them, take the time to visit them in person as well as check out their Facebook page to see the fabulous way Trisha presents her food. Our Nacho Bar, Nosh Bar, Popcorn Bar and Buffet were all decorated in our wedding theme colors and added to the overall beauty and ambiance of the night. Delicious food, sweetest people to work with. They were able to give me everything I wanted. Our guests raved about the food and the service. The only catering option in my mind when planning an event in New Braunfels.

We used River City Catering for our daughter's wedding this last weekend. They are great. No complaints. The presentation and taste of food is wonderful. Staff is great, very kind and considerate. I can highly recommend, I'm glad someone did to us.

River city catering was amazing! When we were in the process of finding a cater they were highly recommend by a friend of ours. When we went to discuss and sample some food she blew us away with her presentation! Everything went perfect on the big day. We had so many compliments on the food!

Food and customer service was great. Had no problems with them during the entire planning process! I give a 4 instead of 5 because of three issues we had: There were supposed to be extra forks for our appetizers that werent brought by the caterers so our guests had to keep their forks from cocktail hour to use for dinner. We were told specifically that the brisket would be at a carving station and not precut and sitting in the heating pan, but it was. We confirmed the timeline multiple times and the caterer told us the thursday before the wedding we had to pay extra to have the staff stay until the end of the night to cut the cake and bus tables (we were at a DIY venue). These arent really issues that caused problems with our guests (everyone RAVED about the food) and I still would have hired them in the long run, just things I learned and want to share with future brides! The staff were exceptional at the wedding and again, everyone was super impressed by the food, as were we!

River City Catering and Alane are amazing! Alane catered our wedding on May 21st and did a fantastic. My husband and I scheduled a tasting with her at her restaurant several months before the wedding. After a chaotic day with other vendors, it was so nice to show up to River City Café and see that Alane was organized, professional, and very knowledgeable. She shared several wonderful dishes with us, explained all the options we had, and continually reminded us that SHE was flexible. Additionally, she shared lots of “tried and true” wedding advice that was very helpful when planning. Alane packed up whatever we didn’t eat and sent it home with us for dinner. Everything was delicious. She was very easy to work with and very responsive. The day of, her staff was very professional and thoughtful. At the end of the night, they had my husband and I a bag of food to take in the car as we drove back to Houston. They packed another serving of dinner and cake which was a wonderful treat. Alane is very experienced. Our florist and day of coordinator, was Barbie Forrestor (also, fantastic). They work so well together and will tag-team whatever needs to get done. You will not regret booking River City Catering.

AMAZING!!!! We found them at a local wedding show. Their quesadillas were amazing and I told my fiancé, we HAD to check them out. They are the most personable vendor we encountered. Everyone there was so nice and easy to work with. They responded to every email in a timely manner and worked through every detail with us. The food was delicious the day of the wedding. We had over 200 people at our wedding and I still get compliments on how good the food was. We have been telling everyone about River City. I cant say a bad thing about them! The price was perfect, the staff was amazing and we couldn't have found a better company to work with!

My husband and I agreed that our wedding needed a few key things- good music, open bar, and delicious food! We LOVED River City and all of our guests raved about the food. Alane is the sweetest lady in the world, and very helpful during the planning process. Trish set up a beautiful serving station. The servers were sweet and asked to take photo booth pictures with us for good luck. During our tasting meeting, we were serve a ton of food, all of which was delicious, and what we didn't eat, they packaged and let us take home! The restaurant has a pretty outdoor area also, great for rehearsal/large group dinners also! At the wedding, the food was hot, fresh, and delicious! Everything we wanted. They also cut and serve (set on the buffet area) the cake for free, which is really nice! Overall, completely satisfied!!!

The food tasted very good however was not very warm when served to our guests. At the beginning of our selection process, Alane was very prompt in her responses however, as the wedding drew closer, it was more and more difficult to get a response from her. I really wish the pricing included disposable plates and flatware.

Alane was such a pleasure to work with at River City Catering and did everything in her power to make us happy on our big day! The food was SO good and I cannot tell you how many compliments we got on the food and service. 100% would use them all over again!

Alane with River City Catering is absolutely wonderful. She was so helpful through the entire process of planning our wedding. We booked her about a year from our wedding date and we were so happy we did. It was such a joy to work with her and meet with her on occasion, she is definitely a busy lady. With the food and services she provides, I know many people love her and her staff. She definitely gets booked for lots of events. The really nice thing too, is that she only does one event per day that she is hired. So you never feel like you are competing for attention on your special day. Her staff even cut our cake for us free of charge, since we provided the plates and napkins ourselves. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the food, displays of the buffet and appetizer tables and service of River City Catering. I saw Alane taking pictures of us and I could see how much she truly cared about us. After dinner and cake were served they cleaned up their areas and packaged all the extra food up for us to take home. When we got home and went through our wedding gifts, to our surprise Alane had given us a gift. It was a frame with a picture of a tree carved with a heart and our names and wedding date on it. It wasn't much, but in our eyes it was beautiful and made me tear up in delight. It was such a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Alane with River City Catering to anyone looking for food service for their wedding or event. You would not be sorry!

River City catered our wedding and rehearsal dinner. Our friends and family are STILL raving about how good the food was! Alane is an absolute pleasure to work with and I really could not have pulled off panning our out of state wedding without her. She went above and beyond to help us in anyway she could. She is just the sweetest! You will definitely not be sorry if you choose River City, no matter what style of wedding you are planning. Alane and her staff can do it all! Amazing amazing amazing. Alane makes the whole process such a joy! She works hard to consider your budget while working her magic to make everything you want happen. She is such a kind person that checks on you throughout the whole process. Now to the food, WOW! We did the beef tenderloin and stuffed chicken breast served with green beans and loaded mashed potatoes and it was HOT when they served it!! Holy moly, it was amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding! $60 per person.

Alane at River City Catering was more than I could have hoped for in a caterer. She has so much experience, she gave us direction and advice for several details we hadn't thought of or didn't know what to do with. We had a fabulous tasting experience and booked within a week. We had a rustic BBQ buffet with generous portion sizes that everyone really enjoyed. They had several servers which made everything go smoothly and they cut our cake for no extra charge.

We had 320 guests who were served a wonderful assortment of savory appetizers during cocktail hour and helped themselves to an assortment of fresh fruit and cheese that was exquisitely arranged in a breath taking spread. The delicious dinner included a fresh green salad with an original dressing/salsa, beef tenderloin, stuffed chicken, summer veggies, loaded mashed potatoes, and the most amazing rolls. Alane's staff was highly professional and efficient. Their service was exemplary. Throughout the entire planning process, Alane was patient, sincere, and accommodating. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the meal and talked about it for days after the wedding. The whole staff was great on the actual event day, and the food was the BEST!!!, we got a lot of complements on the food. I would definitely recommend to use them. Everyone will be talking about our wedding food for years to come! We had a Thanksgiving feast and the food prepared by Alane and her crew was outstanding! Everyone said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! We had smoked turkey and stuffing, doubled baked mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, and fresh green beans. It tasted like good 'ole home cookin'.

Alane Cameron is unbelievable! We are from Dallas and our daughter wanted to get married in New Braunfels. We had SO many compliments on how great the food was. Some even said the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The serving line went smoothly and the food was truly delicious. She also catered the rehearsal dinner the night before and it was fabulous, as well. I can't reccommed her highly enough!

RIver City Catering did a beautiful job at my wedding! They had great service and the food was unbelievable! We got so many comments just about how great the food was. They ever helped us serve cake so that my family could enjoy the wedding. They truly went above and beyond. I would highly recommend to any bride or groom!

Everyone one of my guests absolutley loved the food. They decorated the buffet table beautifully and ensured the food was hot for my guests even though the ceremony was almost an hour late. They were amazing to work with and made sure my reception was perfect. They even help cut the cake for my guests. Their resturaunt also has amazing food. Would recommend it to anyone!
