River Club of Mequon

We had our October 2022 wedding ceremony and reception at The River Club of Mequon and would book our wedding again there in a heartbeat. We signed our contract in December 2020 and over the almost 2 year engagement we never felt forgotten about or made to be less of a priority- all of our random emails with random questions were answered so quickly. We felt like the prices were absolutely fair for the quality we received in the building, staff, food and all the included little “extras.” The entire building and grounds are beautiful- it requires minimal decorating and the views are breathtaking. The food is EXCELLENT, it was honestly one of the best meals of my life! Our guests are still raving about the food even 4 months later, with comments like “This is good, but nothing will ever be as good as Mariah and Ryan’s wedding.” The waitstaff and bartenders were extremely kind, and by the end of the night felt like our good friends. They even have a full on game room that is included which made the kids, and let’s be real a lot adults too, so happy and entertained. The River Club is unlike all the other venues we toured, and definitely stood out against the competition, which made us feel like our wedding wasn’t so generic, and gave us the “wow” factor. The Event Director, Amber, is an angel on Earth. She is kind, personable, professional and truly strives to make sure you have the best experience ever. Whatever they pay her they need to pay her double because she’s worth it. We had a few hiccups the morning of, including things not being set up the way previously discussed with a different private sales coordinator, and she was so attentive to make sure things were quickly resolved. After our wedding I emailed Amber about the concerns we had with our day, and without hesitation she apologized and offered to schedule a phone call to discuss further. She heard us out and noted they were already brainstorming ways to avoid our hiccups with future couples. Most places probably would not have cared, because the event was over and they already had our money, but Amber went above and beyond every step of the way from beginning to end and cares about her couples to the fullest. I want to reiterate that our day did not have anything catastrophic happen to ruin our wedding. Our day was absolutely perfect from beginning to end, and given the chance to go back and do it all over again, we would 1000% book with the River Club and Amber. We highly recommend them and have zero regrets.

Our wedding was an absolutely magical day. The venue was perfect and all of our guests thought the food was amazing. Amber, Stephanie, and Aniya were all extremely helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this venue!

This is such a beautiful venue! We really loved the large windows and lights of the ballroom and the outdoor patio was such a plus for our guests as well. Amber and Stephanie were wonderful to work with. They helped us plan everything in detail and were great at communicating with us. Definitely would recommend this venue!

We are so glad we chose the River Club for our August 2022 wedding reception. The space is absolutely beautiful and we were lucky the rain held off so we could have cocktail hour on the sunset deck overlooking the golf course. Amber, Stephanie, and the entire River Club staff were so kind and attentive. Amber was very patient and responsive when we had questions throughout the entire planning process, which was very appreciated. We've received so many compliments from our wedding, with many of them being about the food and service. We 100% recommend The River Club of Mequon to anyone considering it as their venue.

Amber and her staff were amazing. They were quick to respond to all emails and questions we had; easy to work with and provided thoughtful suggestions during our wedding planning process. The venue itself was amazing. We had numerous options for decor choices, and the final setup was gorgeous. Food and portion sizing was great, we were actually full after eating our meal (which doesn't often happen at weddings for plated meals). Overall, we highly recommend the River Club to anyone getting married!!

Our July 2022 at River Club of Mequon was absolutely perfect! We are so glad that we chose this venue. The space was perfect for our 240 person wedding. Our ceremony was on the patio, which was so beautiful and convenient. Amber was amazing to work with! She was organized, responsive, flexible, and kind--and you could tell that her #1 goal was to make our wedding day exactly as we wanted. I had a pretty specific vision for the ceremony set-up, and she worked with me every step of the way to make it happen exactly as I'd pictured! Stephanie was also wonderful, and was there to help attend to anything that we needed the evening of the wedding. Our guests are all telling us how much they loved the venue-- especially the food! We are so thankful for Amber and the River Club staff for making our dream wedding come true!

The River Club of Mequon did an amazing job hosting our 280 person wedding. Amber and the staff at River Club we’re organized, kind, polite, and patient. The food was incredible and the golf course offered beautiful photos we will cherish forever. Our day was absolutely perfect!

Our wedding at the River Club of Mequon was incredible. Their event manager, Amber, is so organized, helpful, and professional. Their team works with you every step of the way, helping make your day exactly tailored for you and your spouse. It was also nice that they had worked with many of our other vendors in the past, so coordinating with them was a breeze. Our wedding day weather looked like it might rain… but Amber monitored the radar, had game plans for either outcome, and let me just enjoy my day. Luckily it didn’t rain, so we were able to have our ceremony and cocktail hour on the deck as planned. Their full event staff was polite and friendly. Food was great and served warm and timely. I especially loved their appetizer menu to select from. 10/10 would recommend. Thanks for hosting our special day!

A beautiful venue for ceremony and reception! Amber has been great to work with for the past year and exemplifies the best communication skills. During our wedding planning experience, so many details changed all the way up to the day off. Amber was great in making sure every detail was what we wanted and helped create the most beautiful wedding. We also had the mostly amazing time tasting the FABULOUS food at the River Club! The space was so beautiful for both our ceremony (even through rain) and reception. The staff was also so great throughout the whole night! Definitely recommend checking out the River Club!!

This venue was perfect for us. Beautiful deck with views that worked for ceremony, cocktail hour, and the night. The indoor space was very spacious, even with our 180 person wedding, and was beautiful as well. The combination of indoor space (table settings, bar, dance floor) and outside space (deck, covered area, golf course view) made this a clear choice for us. Amber is a wonderful person to work with and helped us through budgeting, ideas, and planning. She is amazing! Our guests also LOVED the food, and that came from several people who all had different entrees as well. I’d rate this above 5 stars if I could. Great setting, indoor/outdoor space, great service, great food, and worked well on our budget.

This past weekend we had our wedding ceremony and reception at the River Club of Mequon. The venue is gorgeous and Amber was amazing to work with! Once we booked the venue we went for a food tasting (could bring 4 additional people) and during the tasting we were able to see table linens and additional decor to help us choose our options. The whole experience was seamless, food was amazing and they help you throw a great party!

We loved hosting our wedding at the River Club! Amber was a dream to work with. She was so accommodating and helped us through the entire process. Our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the reception space and the food! I definitely recommend the River Club to anyone.

The Riverclub exceeded our expectations from the very second we walked in until the days following our wedding. We were planning on getting married at a different venue but after that plan fell through due to some cost stress as we had, we decided to look elsewhere. When we met Amber, we explained this to her and she was so accommodating and kind and assured us that she would do her best to help us get everything we wanted while helping us stay within our budget. My parents are often particular and had many requests and questions throughout our 1+ year of planning. Amber was patient and provided a sense of calmness at all times which really helped put all of us at ease. We had two ceremonies which went exactly as planned. The food and clean up afterwards was quick and efficient. In the midst of everything in the night, we ended up leaving without our wedding cake. We were contacted by The Riverclub as they let us know they had boxed up the cake for us and that it was ready to be picked up whenever we had time. Thank you for helping us make this day so perfect!

Amber Bricco made it easy to plan our wedding. She had great ideas and was flexible when we needed it. Beautiful venue doesn’t disappoint!

Amber was honestly the BEST to work with. She sat us down and talked about our budget and she made sure to stay in that budget. She answered every single question we had and she never seemed to be bothered to do so. Even on the day of our wedding she was outside putting flowers on the arch she made sure all decorations were done and ready to go she helped us making sure we got down the aisle correctly. She made sure everything was going smoothly and made sure we had water at all times while we were taking photos. I would highly recommend working with the River club and Amber!

My wife Jelena and I worked with Amber at the River Club. We were one of the unfortunate ones to have to go through the process of postponing our wedding due to Covid and we were worried about the hassle of what would this mean for our venue and many vendors we were dealing with. Amber made the whole transition so easy. The entire River Club was so accommodating through our entire journey. The venue was amazing from top to bottom. From the start where guests were outside on the balcony which was weatherproof, to the inside spacious environment, great bartenders, servers, amazing food I can say ourselves as well as our guests were delighted beyond expectation. Would not have changed a thing!

The venue was absolutely beautiful! Very spacious!! Amber the event coordinator was absolutely AMAZING! She answered all of my questions and helped steer me in the right direction. She went above and beyond for my special day! And so did the staff! My guests raved about the mini cheese cakes for the dessert table and they truly enjoyed the venue!

We pushed our wedding up by 20 days and were so pleased with the beautiful and renovated space. We loved having our cocktail hour on the rooftop and were also drawn to the River Club because of the large ballroom space that they had. Quite frankly, there are no words to describe how beautiful this venue is! You have to see it for yourself, and I will recommend this venue to anyone over and over again. The beauty of the venue is one thing, the staff is a whole added bonus. Myself and my now wife worked with Amber Bricco, who is the director of Event Sales and Marketing. The first ever conversation we had with Amber got our heart instantly and we said “YES this is the place.” You know how people say wedding planning is very stressful, Amber and her team removed major stress levels from our wedding planning. Amber was beyond easy to work with from the first ever conversation we had with her to the day of executing all our plans on the wedding day. All of our guests were amazed by the beauty and organization of our wedding, and these was all thanks to Amber and her staff at River Club of Mequon. She listened to us, accommodated everything we needed, she was very organized, professional and was very quick to respond to our emails (and there were hundreds of them). Most of all she was very honest and truthful with us through the whole process. Having a beautiful venue is one thing, but having a staff like Amber Bricco to go with that beautiful venue is a game changer.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I don’t even know where to start. My fiancé (now husband) and I called Amber at River Club of Mequon in desperation of finding a new venue after the one we initially booked was being extremely difficult while working with us. As soon as we called Amber we knew this was the venue for us! She was so accommodating from day one till we got married. This was a two year process as we postponed a year later due to Covid. Amber did not miss a beat! She made our dream wedding possible. Aside from the amazing service, the venue itself does all the talking. It is gorgeous inside and outside! I can go on and on about the wonderful experience we had working with Amber Bricco and the beauty of the venue! Everything was top notch and several of our guest said it was the best wedding they have ever attended!! Thank you thank you Amber and River Club of Mequon.

The River Club was affordable, accommodating, and absolutely stunning wedding venue!! The ballroom has massive windows with a BREATHTAKING view. My guests and I are still raving about it!! I had just graduated from college and planned my own wedding/had a lot of DIY decor and dessert ideas that I wanted to incorporate. Amber was so flexible, gracious, and easy to work with. If you're a college student that wants to keep your wedding on a budget but also want your dream venue... this is it!!

River Club was THE BEST venue for our wedding! Amber, the events coordinator, was such a pleasure to work with and worked with me on every detail. I had many questions and emails and she was always quick to respond and was always willing to meet with me. We had to postpone our wedding and she worked with us on every step and made it so easy for us. The venue itself is beautiful and the banquet room is a huge space that was perfect for our large wedding. We had our ceremony outside on the sunset deck and our guests loved it! The venue shows so well and multiple times we heard from our guests that this was the best wedding that they had ever been to. A. big part of that is thanks to River Club! Thank you to Amber and her team!

A nine month engagement during COVID they said would be a challenge. With the postponement of weddings we were told things were going to be complicated in finding a venue, organizing the caterer, etc. My husband and I however felt the complete opposite!! River Club was the first venue we toured and we fell in love in an instant we booked them later that night. It helped that we had the amazing help of Amber Bricco!! Everything was seamless. The venue was gorgeous. The communication between Amber and I was also timely and smooth. While other parts of the wedding felt stressful this was the one thing that did not. We loved it enough to become members and we love to bring our friends. Thank you River Club (and especially Amber) for the perfect day enjoying the sunset deck, the amazing food, the beautiful scenery, delicious drinks and the portable dance floor!!

WOW we were so impressed and happy with how our wedding reception turned out at the River Club! Amber is amazing!! We had to change venues only 3 months before our wedding day and she helped us fast track our planning to get everything in line for our reception. We loved the outdoor patio space and riding around on the golf carts taking pictures on the golf course. The food was so good and several guests commented that it was the best wedding food they have ever had (we had flat iron steak, roasted chicken, and risotto with sides of baby potatoes and green beans FYI)! Amber answered all of our questions and met with us multiple times to make sure our wedding day was exactly what we wanted. I didn't worry about anything the day of our wedding except having fun with my husband, friends, and family. It was all we could've dreamed of AND MORE! THANK YOU!

Not sure I can adequately express what a wonderful experience it was to have my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding reception at the River Club of Mequon. Beautiful setting, spacious ballroom, wonderful outdoor veranda for the cocktail hour (including lawn games), delicious cocktails and meal entrees, friendly and courteous staff, and impeccable service from beginning to end. It was the “perfect” wedding celebration that my daughter had dreamed of since she was a little girl. Her expectations were very high (making this mama somewhat worried that it would fall short of the bride’s dreams). In reality, the bride and groom had the wedding of their dreams, and the parents of the couple were able to relax and enjoy the evening without a hitch. The River Club did not disappoint!! I cannot thank Amber (Events Director) enough for making this a flawless, delightful event. Throughout the 8 months of planning for this event, Amber was always available to help, advise, and make every wish (no matter how “out-of-the-box”) come true. She was always professional, but also very personable and felt like a friend. She was a joy to work with, and I’m so grateful to her and her staff for making this event a beautiful memory for all of us. This is not the first wedding I’ve planned, as this is the 5th of 7 children to be married. So I can honestly speak from experience when I say I was highly impressed with the interaction with the River Club of Mequon. This was the first time we held a wedding reception at the River Club. I am thrilled that another child is getting married in September and he and his fiancé will be having their reception at the River Club of Mequon!!

I can't speak highly enough of our experience at the River Club. Amber was a perfect match in creating the most magical day we could imagine for our wedding reception. We had passed appetizers, sit-down dinner, and late night buffet. Our guests have described our wedding reception as "The G.O.A.T" (Greatest of all time). It space is beautiful, the food was awesome (guests kept raving) and the service 5 stars!!!!! I recommend it to the Nth degree. Thank you for making our wedding one for the ages!

Amber at The River Club of Mequon was amazing!! She welcomed my daughter and son-in-law with one arms and bent over backwards to accommodate and make their experience delightful. The club was beautiful and welcoming.

Unfortunately due to COVID, we were forced to change venues 3 weeks before our wedding date this year! As you could imagine we were very panicked and had to find a venue quickly. Amber Bricco at the River Club of Mequon was extremely helpful and accommodating from the second we spoke on the phone and met. She and the River Club helped turn a terrible situation into a beautiful and wonderful wedding day! Her flexibility as well as how accommodating the River Club was to our every request and need was amazing! I seriously cannot say enough good things about how wonderful they were planning as well as day of the wedding!

We had such a great experience at the River Club! Getting married during a pandemic is very stressful but Amber at the River Club was amazing! We will definitely be recommending the River Club! The event space is gorgeous & the staff is awesome! Also the bar staff at our wedding were great too!

An absolutely perfect venue for a wedding! First off, Amber helped us plan our dream wedding in a short time frame and made sure everything was perfect. She was great at communicating and ensuring everything was done in a timely fashion. The food was delicious and so fresh. The venue space itself is large with both an indoors and outdoor area which is great for those who need to cool down after tearing up the dance floor. There is large windows that line one side of the room with a beautiful view of the golf course. Dreamy photos taken out on the golf course. We cannot say enough good things about this never space and the staff! If you are looking for a venue space with a lot of space, great food, beautiful views and amazing staff this is your place!!

The staff were so wonderful to work with, the price was right, and the venue was beyond perfect. I cannot recommend them more!! They made our day better than we could’ve ever dreamed!

From our first conversation we had with Amber, we knew we were in good hands. The responsiveness, the detail, the advice, and the quality was like nothing we've seen at a wedding we've attended before. Our e-mail correspondence chain from the months leading up to the wedding day exceeds 100 emails. Any quick little question we needed an answer to, Amber was quick to reply to ease our minds. This venue had so much to offer that could be tailored to exactly what anyone could want; outdoors, indoors, 3 bars, large size, in house chef, you name it they had it or could make it happen. Any request we had, Amber made it happen. Its been 3 days since our wedding and I've had family and friends contacting me to tell me something was the best they've ever seen. From the food, to the venue, to the service. Amber & the Riverclub of Mequon set the bar. The price was fair, the service was great, and the venue was perfect. Thank you for making our day something we didn't know was possible.

After having to cancel my wedding in April, we met Amber when we toured the River Club of Mequon. She was the most accommodating and understanding coordinator I had spoken to or worked with. She was also very flexible about a couple last-minute changes we had to make. Our wedding day was very magical. In part thanks to the beauty of the venue, but mostly thanks to Amber and the staff at the River Club who made sure that everything transitioned smoothly between the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I did not have to worry about a thing! Thank you for the best day!

Due to COVID, we were forced to change our wedding venue 6 weeks before our planned date. The River Club of Mequon had our date open and did MORE than accommodate our plans! The venue is very spacious and has a beautiful outdoor patio that was perfect for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Amber, the Director of Event Sales and Marketing, was so easy to work with and VERY responsive to any questions we had along the way. Our wedding was perfect and we are so incredibly thankful we were able to celebrate at the River Club of Mequon!

All I can say is WOW! Working with Amber B. and the team at the River Club of Mequon was wonderful!!! We had a beautiful wedding and reception there this summer, and we had fun along the way planning with Amber! Our first wedding was canceled due to covid, so we were scrambling to find another venue closer to home yet this summer. Amber was very responsive since the beginning and did an exceptional job giving us pricing to meet our needs within our budget in a rather short time frame. She helped us with recommendations and contact information for a DJ, hotels, and transportation and coordinated all of our vendors and bridal party the day of the event for everything to run smoothly. The food was exceptional and the space was beautifully decorated and clean with plenty of room to move around both inside and outside. The bridal suite was a convenient add to the space to get ready in and there were plenty of spots on the golf course we went to take pictures. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend The River Club of Mequon! Thank you to Amber and the staff at the River Club!

Our daughter's wedding was beautiful. The River Club of Mequon is a very welcoming venue that allows easy access for all attending. The outdoor patio offered a wonderful place to gather during cocktail hour and again after dinner. The view was amazing and the bar was accessible from both inside and out. The tables and amenities were set up just as discussed, and no detail was left undone. Rob and Steve gave 100 percent and were on site the entire evening. If something needed attention, they were on it right away. Although the waitstaff could be a bit more polished, the dinner of Pork Medallions and Chicken Marsala was served in a timely manner and was delicious (Hats off to the Chef). Most all of our guest were sure to tell us the same along with how beautiful the venue was. The table and chair linens were done by "Cover it With Class" and were just stunning. Stephanie, the owner of Cover it With Class, and Rob from the River Club work together very well to make for a breath-taking reveal when the hall doors were opened. Thank you Rob, Steve, Stephanie and the Staff at the River Club for creating a very lovely experience for our daughter and son-in-law on their wedding day. We did not want the day to end.

The venue was beautiful, and they were willing to work with us to have an Jewish Orthodox wedding. They were very accommodating, and made our outdoor ceremony a reality, despite lots of snow on the ground. There was plenty of dancing and eating room, and everyone was very happy, and I heard lots of compliments.

Absolutely love this venue! I was there for a wedding and the food was amazing. The event was organized very well and the staff were kind as well. I recommended River Club to a friend of mine who is getting married soon as well because of the beautiful scenery overlooking the golf course.

You can only put so much lipstick on a pig, the venue is beautiful but the staff is awful. They ruined my husbands and I wedding day by not getting anything correct and falling behind the whole night. Wish I never held my wedding here. Could have spent half the money and had a better day at a better run venue.

I'm not sure you could ruin a wedding day more if you tried. One of the worst run facilities I have ever been to. Sarah, Rob and Cindy are the most worthless and incompetent people I have ever met. Would not recommend holding your wedding here. The staff was so bad on our wedding day that we ended up getting a refund. We had 3 different event coordinators in 9 months and none of them wrote down the details of our wedding day, so when the day came they missed on everything we discussed. They were short staffed for our wedding, so food was served on time and everything was behind schedule. When complaining to the General manager, she put her hands on my father and I and told us to stop complaining or she would call the cops... even though they were behind and couldnt get our cake served, bar restocked, coffee refilled and buffet refilled with food. Needless to say they ruined our wedding day, never want to step back on the property of this course again.Would not recommend holding your wedding here. The staff was so bad on our wedding day that we ended up getting a refund. Perfect...Elegant...Beautiful!!! Those are some of the words we heard at our daughter's wedding!! We absolutely would recommend the River Club of Mequon to all brides-to-be, you truly won't be disappointed!! From the beginning planning stages to the end, Larry Kreiner, River Club of Mequon's Wedding Coordinator, was wonderful!! Together, he was courteous, professional and personable, making it so easy and enjoyable to plan our daughter's big event and to enjoy it!!. I personally felt that he went above and beyond for our daughter's wedding, and we will never forget that!! The staff was also wonderful and very attentive, the food was delicious:):), and the venue was absolutely stunning!! In the evening, the lighting, both inside and out, was so visually pleasing, that you were truly amazed! The outdoor music that was being played was also warm and inviting, allowing an additional area for our guests to relax and unwind, aside from the dancing. One more note:) the appetizers and the late evening snacks were not only delicious, but a great hit with all of the wedding guests!! Well worth it!! Thank you River Club of Mequon...we would highly recommend you to everyone!! And definitely, you won't be disappointed with Larry's excellent attitude and attention to detail!! Thank you Larry!! You are a blessing!!

The River Club did an amazing good from start to finish. We had our marriage blessing on 8/25/17 and Larry the Director/Wedding Planner accommodated everything I needed. The filet was like butter and the staff did a 5 star job, what more could you ask for? Thank you to everyone at the River Club for helping make our day absolutely amazing!

We could not have asked for a better reception venue. Larry is literally the most amazing person and helped us tremendously. He literally takes care of everything and makes sure it all goes smoothly. The reception itself is just stunning. The lights and the view with the deck is just incredible. There is nothing else like it! If you book this wedding venue you will not regret it!

Our daughters wedding was flawless. we had the ceremony and reception at the club. It was a prefect event! The staff are amazing kudos to Larry and Mikayla they are the dream team! The service was OUTSTANDING. The food amazing - thanks to Ezzy the chef - the venue was so beautiful. We had so many guests tells us it was the most beautiful wedding they had even attended. We started our day there in the bridal suite and the club had staff there all day to ensure we were well taken care of. This is an amazing venue and there is not one thing I would have changed. It was perfect! Kudos to the River Club of Mequon!

He is best wedding planner on the planet. 1) The pre-event planning meetings were very professional 2) At the event itself, we had the perfect number of servers. 3) Dinner was hot, delicious and on time. 4) During the evening all guests needs were meet.
