My florist ended up being late to the wedding and we weren’t sure if she would make it on time. DeAnne had a new florist there within an hour to help with the wedding. She is well connected, organized, and ACTUALLY CARES! I would choose River run all over again I had an amazing experience on my wedding day!

il hour and the reception were perfect. I think the food was the biggest hit, it was all delicious. Everything ran very smoothly, it was evident that everyone at River Run knew what they were doing. I cannot say enough great things about River Run!!!

you can truly make your own. The staff at RRCC was amazing throughout the entire day. They were so polite and made us all feel welcome. DeAnne was fabulous from start to finish. She was responsive and very easy to work with. Her main priority is making sure everything runs smoothly on the venue side, and it certainly did for our event. She was extremely helpful in helping us navigate the COVID-19 rules of the state. You can't go wrong at RRCC - highly recommend!

nd the ballroom. A lot of family said they hadn't been to a wedding this beautiful in years, including both of our mothers who can be difficult to impress. Because of COVID we had a small wedding, but the ballroom was laid out so well no one realized it at all. It was perfect because everything was in one location and made the day simple for everyone. DeAnne is the venue coordinator and from our first visit there she took extra time to answer all of our questions and walk through any backup scenarios (COVID restrictions, rain, etc). She's great and was on site during the whole event. If you are looking in the Davidson/Cornelius area definitely take a look at this country club--it stood out from anything else in the area and we were so happy with it!

s. She happily arranged a phone call with us and a tour for the groom's parents (as we are planning from out of state.) River Run has flexible, affordable catering and bar options available to make customizing the menu easy, and the venue itself is as elegant and modern as can be.

dson College and wanted to have our reception near DCPC, the church on campus where we had the ceremony, since everyone was coming from out of town/abroad and we wanted to keep it local. As soon as we saw River Run and met Chris we knew it was the perfect venue! We planned our wedding in 3 months and Chris was so easy to work with and helpful, even making suggestions as needed. The venue and ballroom are beautiful and Chris was so flexible with us in making plans. River Run has basically NO hidden or unexpected add-on fees, which is extremely rare for the wedding industry! We had our reception with 140-ish people from 5pm-midnight and the afterparty on site (in the bar area) from 12-2am at NO EXTRA COST. In addition we used their baby grand piano, which was tuned specifically for us, and ran a slideshow at no extra cost. We gave out succulents as favors and one of Chris's staff made a lovely sign for the area where they were set up -- such a nice touch!! The service was amazing both before and during the event. The groomsmen played a complimentary round of golf the morning of the wedding and the ladies had the option of getting ready at the club. Chris served as the day-of coordinator and everything ran super smoothly. We had a seated dinner and Chris, for example, VERY gracefully handled the shuffle when a few guests showed up who hadn't RSVP'd. Around 10pm we decided to extend the party to midnight when it was originally to go until 11pm and he was completely cool about it. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend River Run to anyone, especially if you're getting married in Davidson or nearby. Why have everyone drive to Charlotte, when you can have the perfect country club reception just down the street?! My only negative feedback would be that Chris is not great with responding to emails in a timely fashion. However, he definitely followed through with every detail we sent him, so it was only stressful in the planning process. I would recommend calling him if you need to be in touch.

e found Chris Zoghby and River Run. Their prices are extremely competitive for the wedding market, especially considering we were on a relatively tight budget. Not only that, but the venue is absolutely beautiful! The ballroom was perfect, and they even have other beautiful rooms we used for our Rehearsal Dinner. The food for both the wedding and the rehearsal was fantastic, and exceeded our expectations. From the first meet we had with Chris, we knew we wanted to work closely with him and it was evident he was very knowledgeable in executing the perfect wedding at River Run. As we did not have a wedding planner, he was the ideal fit for our situation, as we could bounce ideas off him and he would give us insight into what would look amazing on the day. A lot of reviews we have read stated that Chris was hard to get a hold of. Looking back, sometimes it would be a few days before we would get an email/text back from Chris. However, after working with Chris for over a year, it was very evident that his workload was too much for a single person and not a fault of his own - definitely something River Run management needs to address. That being said, we always got our questions answered, and Chris would never make a promise if he couldn't deliver. And he delivered everything we wanted/needed! All of the River Run staff were extremely passionate about making sure our day ran smoothly and we are so happy we chose River Run. Oh and as a side note - the wedding cake by Chef Todd was absolutely amazing!! Thanks again for making our wedding day very special!

arsal party, we experienced difficulties in communicating with the director, Chris Zoghby. However, we were so impressed by the room we had chosen to host the event that we persisted and were finally able to sign a contract for the front lounge and to work out the other details. The front lounge is a beautiful airy room with a vaulted ceiling, grand piano, and covered balcony. Thirty-six people were invited, including six children. When my family arrived thirty minutes prior to the event, I was shocked to find a golf banquet being held in the front lounge. There was no one there from the staff to explain what was going on. Finally, I found a small sign which indicated the rehearsal party was to be in the Zebra Lounge, a small sports bar in the back section of the clubhouse. This lounge was poorly lit with the main focal points being wide screen televisions, a bar and to complete the effect, a screen hiding some of the usual room decor. When finally I was able to find Chris and later his boss, I was told that an email had been sent to me late that afternoon informing me that the directors had upgraded us to another room, and we would not be charge for the room. As I told them that if I had known the venue was to be held in such a room, I would never have planned the event there. My outraged was rudely brushed off. The evening was further ruined by the mediocre food and minimal service.

Chris stated he would get back with me, the next day (we went on a Tuesday) with an estimate for the day, but still have not heard from him a week later. There is no site coordinator either, where other clubs do.

s the whole time. He would say that we needed to do something like the food tasting next week, we would be available, then we would leave several messages and not hear back for a couple weeks. We never even got to have a cake testing. He wouldn't call us so we had to call up to the venue and get in contact with the pastry chef ourselves and just tell him what we wanted. On the wedding day the food was really good but that was about it. The beer and wine selection were both wrong and we chose from a list they gave us, it's not like we picked something obscure. Also it stated in our contract that we would get lockers for our stuff but we didn't even though two people asked if there was somewhere to leave the stuff. We got robbed because our stuff was in an unlocked room and the bridal dresses didn't have pockets. Chris was told about this as soon as we realized and he said he would be back and walked off and apparently just left. Not only did he not question the staff or anything about anyone they might have seen around the room but he left 2 hours before the wedding was over. Also the F & B manager Danny was extremely rude about it. Not only would no one help us or question the staff but he suggested that one of our guests may have taken it. Now of course I don't expect the staff to be searched or anything drastic but people could have at least been questioned or asked if they saw anyone around the room but no, nothing was done until days later when we contacted someone higher up. When we did get in contact with a manager he apologized but of course the money was long gone by this point so even though he said they would have a meeting there was no point by then. He also refunded some money but it was less than 10% of what was paid for the day. I think that is getting off pretty cheap for not only a blatant breach of contract because it was in our contract to get lockers but also their disregard for us messed up a once in a lifetime day. If you have to pick this venue watch your things closely. Take time to explore some of the other near by clubs though.

did a great job of helping us create the wedding that fit our budget. Chris was amazing the day of the wedding. He kept the entire event on track without being pushy. We couldn't be happier with Chris and we now know how important it is to have a day of coordinator. It is impossible to coordinate well and be the bride in the wedding. :) The food was to die for and the chef created the menu special for us. We wanted Mediterranean food and he did an amazing job. The chef also made the wedding topper and cupcakes based on a picture I e-mailed him. It was exactly the color and design I wanted. MOST of our guests have repeatedly told us that it was the best wedding they had been to. Our ceremony and reception at River Run exceeded our expectations!

having our hair and makeup done in the ladies' locker room that morning. Chris was the best coordinator. He's knowledgeable, professional, and calm. My mom and I each sent him countless e-mails asking questions, and he took care of everything with a smile. Chris offered to setup any kinds of decorations we wanted, including over 100 small succulents, saving us hours the day of the wedding. Beth did a beautiful job with decorating, including doing a complicated napkin fold for each plate. Chris and Beth even tied chair bows on every chair! Chris made arrangements for all of the details, including a piano player for the cocktail hour and special colored napkins for the reception. Also, Chef Todd made the most delightful wedding cake! It was beautiful and absolutely delicious. River Run welcomed us to have our engagement photos taken at the country club and around the golf course and offered rounds of golf for the groomsmen. It was a lovely venue, and Chris, Beth, and Chef Todd are amazing.

but we had the best of experience once we got to River Run... We could not say enough about River Run Country Club, We had to change our venue at the last minute and CHRIS was the best and Lauren was also great, the members at the club were all so nice and friendly they really made you feel welcome to be there, our guest are still talking about the great service the lovely atmosphere and the wonderful food, Chris work with our tight budget and came through with many of ideas, the chiefs there are excellent, also Chief Todd made a gorgeous wedding cake.. taste good too... We had our wedding ceremony outside (no need for added decor the lake, waterfall and flowers make for the right backdrop).. The staff on site did a great job setting up all our decorations in the reception hall... We have nothing but good things to say about River Run and if you are looking for the best of service and the most friendliest people a welcoming feeling like home DO IT RIGHT Choose RIVER RUN as your 1st choice of action (as they pull through our wedding in less than 3 weeks time)... wedding coordinator provided by River Run, was extremely nice and helpful; however, he was extremely difficult to get ahold of at times. Overall, I had a great experience.

had a receiving line and could not sneak away to retrieve drinks for ourselves. All of the guests raved about the food and how good it was. We also had our cake done by River Run's pastry chef and it was beautiful and delicious! I was not too concerned with the cake but that ended up being one of my favorite parts of my wedding. The grounds at River Run also were gorgeous backgrounds for some of our photos. All in all I would highly recommend River Run for any brides venue choice!

a gem! She helped us out a lot and did a great job the day of our wedding...we can't thank her enough!! We LOVED everything and are so please we chose this venue!
