Things could not have been any more perfect for our daughter's wedding at The Cypress Club at The Reserve on Lake Travis. From the moment we first visited the venue to the last of the guests had left, Mia and her staff were amazing. Throughout the entire planning Mia was always available either by phone, or text, and even met us out at the Cypress Club to go over all of the final details. The day of the wedding everything was perfect! Absolutely PERFECT! Mia and her staff provide a level of customer service that is personal, professional, and thorough.
We had our wedding at The Reserve as well as a family reunion brunch three months later. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the accommodating staff and the event coordinator, Mia Mineghino.
All you need is to give her the details of what your perfect day looks like and she will deliver! She shows up every time, on time, with a positive and energetic demeanor. Thank you Mia for making our family and friends feel so taken care of and special!
My fiancé (now husband!) and I decided on the Reserve for our wedding festivities because of rave reviews regarding the setting, and the event planner, Mia Mineghino. We met with Mia five months beforehand to discuss our theme. We are from California originally, and I really wanted to have some of my back home favorites as far as food and drinks, and also the feel of the day needed to be beach forward. I know it sounds weird being in Texas hill country, and frankly I didn't think I could get across what I was saying, and then have it translate into my vision. But we were put at ease the minute we sat down with Mia. She came prepared with fantastic ideas after our brief conversation on the phone, and was completely present and so easy to talk to! Her energy was so fun! I felt such a weight lifted when she went through in detail exactly what our day would look like with very impressive food and drink options, decor, music,and even an amazing villa to stay in the evening before and after the ceremony. I literally enjoyed every moment of my wedding day, with no worries or hiccups. Mia was there when she needed to be, and behind the scene orchestrating all the moving parts to perfection. I can't even imagine a more beautiful and relaxed day.... and it was my wedding!
I'm still getting compliments from friends and family saying that it was the best wedding they have ever attended! Cant beat that!

To start, you just cant go wrong with this incredible venue! It is the perfect space for a rustic outdoor event, and offers the most beautiful backdrop of Lake Travis. Moreover, Mia, the event coordinator, was so great to work with. She was easy to reach (with my innumerable questions, late night calls and emails!), incredibly flexible, professional, and super knowledgeable/helpful when it came down to the finer details of planning. I would highly recommend this venue solely because coordinators like her are truly hard to come by! Outstanding! Hope to work with her and utilize this gorgeous space again!
The Cypress Club is a very special place located just outside of Austin. Huge, beautiful oaks spread their shade throughout the site, and the well-appointed facilities are within close proximity of the vase expanse of Lake Travis. This is the perfect space for any event.
Mia has a warm and friendly personality that makes it fun and easy to work with her. She truly cares, and that's evident in everything she does.
The Cypress Club was beautiful, we had an amazing time there! Mia was very easy to work with and did a wonderful job helping us plan our event. We will definitely back and highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a hill country wedding or any kind of event!

We had some issues with staff changes/coordinator changes throughout the process. Mia, who took over towards the end, was absolutely great. Not a 5 star review because we had some questionable stuff regarding the bartending service. (We had to go through them for this). We do not have all the details since it is hearsay; we can only go with what our guests told us after the fact.

enough good things about our experience in dealing with Mia. Mia was a joy to work with and her communication skills and organization were on point. She is charismatic, tactful, hardworking, and truly such an asset for your team. I received so many compliments on her personality and willingness to make the experience lovely for our guests up to the last moment. Many of our friends did not realize the venue was available for private parties and wanted details for future engagements.
We will be referring the Cypress Club to our friends and family in the future, not only is it a lovely setting with a breathtaking view but the staff was exceptional.
I give this venue a negative star and I warn anyone who is pulled in by the beauty 0f this venue to be careful of the snakes who manage it. I am the lucky one who was able to walk away from this venue before I got caught up in all of the lies. I never quite figured out who was lying but either the event planner or management was. Our ordeal started March 17. 2017 when we visited this beautiful venue. We toured over an hour asking every question about the venue and its costs, which were outlined in the wedding packet we had just been given. The bride and groom were ecstatic because the costs were within their budget. They were ready to sign the contract and start planning their dream wedding. We left with the paperwork so we could read it and make sure of what we were signing. We had full intention of returning on Monday, March 20, to sign the contract. Fast forward 6 weeks, after several calls and emails to management, I get a new contract with new pricing saying everything I was previously given was invalid and had been since January 2016. REALLY!!! Give me a break. You have outdated wedding packets sitting in your front office that have been outdated for 15 months. Even The Knot sent us the old pricing information in April 2017 when we requested it. Long story short our price increased by $5,000 from our original quote. Be careful if you visit. Do not get caught up in their lies and just to make sure you have the contract pricing list, the venue fee is $8,000 not including the $1,200 ceremony fee, the $950 service fee, the $550 security guard fee, and the $1,500 kitchen usage fee if you do not use their caterer. Costs set aside, I would never sign a contract with these people due to their dishonesty and unprofessionalism. It is sad such a beautiful place is run by such dishonest and uncaring people.
CHANGE OF MANAGEMNT is the reason I'm leaving 1 star. I wish I could leave negative stars. CHRISTINE is the name of the new person in charge of the wedding events and she changed everything on us last minute so we had to pay an EXTRA $10,000 for food or she told us we couldn't have our wedding at their location 12 days prior to my wedding. Before management change, I would give this venue 5 stars but Christine and the staff are snakes. I asked for a quote 4 months ago for food to see if we needed to use another caterer and she waited until 2 weeks prior to my wedding to send a quote. It was a shocking $23,000 for food and before management change it was only $13,000. I told her our agreement prior her and she told me shes in charge now so what was said in the past is not valid. So we tried to change caterers to one that was a little more budget friendly and she called me saying you didn't give me a 60 day notice so looks like you don't have a choice. Very MALICIOUS and unprofessional. Please beware of this and her tricks because she's only out to make lots of money off of you.
I want to start off by saying this venue is absolutely amazing. It would make for a great weekend getaway and place to relax. I wish I could say the same for our wedding but it was a nightmare. All the wedding planning was going fantastic until they changed the coordinator on us to Christine and it fell apart. She was very very rude and impossible to work with. I do not understand why she was on a power trip at such a beautiful location. If you are looking at this venue to have your wedding at, I highly recommend that you not walk but run away if Christine is the coordinator.
Despite what the previous reviewer said, the change in management was nothing but a good thing for me! Just had my wedding here on 10.17.15 and it was absolutely fantastic. I had many problems with the previous person in charge and was very stressed out and worried up until about a month before my wedding. As soon as Christine took over, we were given answers to our questions, a tremendous amount of help with planning and Christine was absolutely fantastic on the day of the event. Yes there were a few things that were changed on us as well because of the change in management, but it was very clear to us that the problem was the previous person, Not Christine.
I did have an outside caterer do my wedding because I had already decided that months prior, but I also held my rehearsal dinner (for 70 people) at The Reserve on the day before the wedding and that was fully catered by The Reserve. Both events were professionally managed, decor was beautiful, food was fantastic, timing was perfect and All of that was due to Christine making it happen. She really made me feel well taken care of and so much less stressed. She had a team of people helping her on the day of the wedding and she did so much extra for me too (changing my shoes 3 times, paying my vendors, changing decor items mid reception, setting up a table in the back with all the appetizers for us so we got a break to eat between pictures and entering the reception, boxing up extra meals for us and having them ready for us in the room when the night was over... Etc).
This wedding venue is absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny! It is a beautiful outdoor space with an amazing lake view. Perfect setting for a wedding and with the new team of people running the place now, I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!
What an amazing experience and such a beautiful weekend! As a bride with a full time job living in Houston, Megan made this such a pleasant and successful event. She listened and understood what both my husband and I wanted for our weekend wedding, and took care of every detail including the party at our house on Friday. Her service was impeccable as she catered to one of our guests who had a food allergy that we were unaware of and made that a "non-event." She provided timelines and had everything on schedule which allowed me to enjoy my own wedding. Using The Reserve was easy and offered many amenities to our guests. I would highly recommend this venue to other brides that are looking for something in a beautiful out door setting. You will not go wrong with Megan. She understands what needs to be done and actually enjoys the process and wedding planning. She's the gem!
Being a groom I expected to have little to no participation in planning our wedding but got involved anyway b/c of Meagan. We chose The Cypress Club at the Preserve at Lake Travis as our wedding venue primarily b/c of the location but were happy to hire Meagan from there as our wedding coordinator as well. She made what could have been our most stressful and hectic day ever the most pleasurable and seamless wedding imaginable. There wasn't a single thing we'd change about our big day and it went off beautifully without a hitch. A huge reason for this was b/c Meagan had EVERYTHING under control all while wearing a big smile. I was amazed how in control and calm she was with every detail. The night was simply the most memorable night of our lives and we owe a huge part of that to Meagan. People to this day tell us how much fun they had at our wedding, which is something you expect to hear out of of kindness, but when we hear it people really get excited about letting us know. It’s a night we’ll never forget and owe that to Meagan. Thanks!
We had our wedding at the Cypress Club. We hired Megan to be our coordinator and we could not have spent any amount on the wedding better than hiring her! Not only was she orgainzed, awesome and accomodating, the wedding run perfectly. Not one fire. Everything went smoothly and everyone at my wedding said they had never been to a more beatiful wedding. You would be insane to not have your wedding there and, if you can afford a little extra, hiring Megan to be your Wedding Coordinator. I will never forget my experience there!
