Riverbend Venue at River's Edge

My husband and I had our September wedding at Riverbend. The venue was beautiful and we had so many compliments from our guests. The venue is right on the river and made such a beautiful background for our ceremony. The dining area and bar/dance area are in different rooms, which made everything so smooth as we didn’t need to have any room flips or turnovers done quickly. We also found the bridal and groom suites super convenient. We were even able to keep our belongings in the suites all evening. The staff at the venue is INCREDIBLE. The bartenders were super friendly and professional, and we were absolutely amazed at all the work Cathy and Ali did for us. They were super responsive to us and helped plan out so many small details. I could not recommend this venue enough!

Highly recommend RiverBend to anyone looking to have a beautiful wedding. This venue is perfect. We had so many compliments from our guests on the venue. The getting ready rooms are the best and are nice to use throughout the night. Some beautiful areas for photos. Can’t wait to get ours! Lastly, the staff is what truly make it happen. Cathy goes above and beyond for you to make your dream wedding come true. Her experience and knowledge are second to none and our big day went off without a hitch. The bartenders were also amazing and very attentive to our guests and my husband and I. They made sure everyone had a great time. Cannot say enough good things about this venue.

Riverbend was a magical place to hold our wedding. Cathy the venue manager was highly accessible, friendly, and supportive, helped us understand the venue's capabilities, referred us to trusted vendors, and worked with us to achieve the kind of day we envisioned. Prices were exceptionally reasonable and all outlined upfront which was very helpful for budgeting purposes. The venue itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and continually improved. We held both the wedding and reception indoors, and with 170 guests, the space felt intimate and not overcrowded. I would highly recommend Riverbend for people who want to be surrounded by natural beauty with access to comfort and elegance, and a hidden gem for their wedding venue.

This venue was incredible. Staff went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly. They were kind, communicative, and helpful, even the bar staff! Everyone was awesome. The venue itself was beautiful and the surrounding nature and river was also beautiful. There were so any compliments. We loved getting married there and would recommend it to anyone.

One word for this venue: BEAUTIFUL! So many guests kept commenting on how wonderful and amazing this place and set up was. The Riverbend employees were so amazing and friendly. Cathy made our wedding day and night so memorable and fun! The communication and planning was so great. I wouldn’t change anything about our wedding day! Thank you Cathy and to your amazing staff… it was perfect!

Venue was beautiful and event coordinators/staff were very easy to work with. My day went very smooth. Only heads up I would give other brides is that if you are having a summer wedding, there will be tubers on the river past 4:30. There were a few groups that continued until past 6pm, it could be a distraction if you have your ceremony there. Nevertheless it was a beautiful venue I would highly recommend!

Wow! This place was AMAZING! From the first time I saw it to the last minute spent there at the end of my reception I was just in awe. The place is absolutely stunning but the staff on site is even better! My wedding day was absolutely perfect because of the venue and because of Cathy making every step of the way easy, fun, and comfortable! We received so many compliments on how beautiful this venue was. Truly amazing venue, highly recommend this place for your wedding!!!

My husband and I just got married here in January. The staff at Riverbend Venue was awesome. They were attentive to every little detail, extremely responsive in the weeks and days leading up to the event, and were wonderful hosts! We really enjoyed our wedding day and had no worries as the staff made sure everything was taken care of. The space is also beautiful! And they are constantly updating the area to make it better fitting for the wants and needs of future clients! We wholeheartedly recommend this venue!

After our first tour of Riverbend at River's Edge, my fiancé said "book it." The venue is a remodeled supper club offering the original bar, wooden beams, copper walls, floor to ceiling windows, and updated bride/groom suites. It is the perfect mix of modern and rustic. We had our ceremony and reception onsite with plenty of space for all of the guests. Cathy, the venue manager, was easy to work with and very responsive. She helped us select the bar offerings along with the room floor plans. Once onsite, we had nothing to worry about. Riverbend at River's Edge is just outside the cities on the Apple River, making it the perfect escape for the weekend while still drivable for guests nearby. We highly recommend you take a look for yourself!

They were so easy to work with and willing to accommodate pretty much anything you want to have on your special day. THE BEST!

The building is absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments on what a great venue it was. The team at 23 Events and the staff at Riverbend were so accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

Cathy and Kallan were such a pleasure to work with. Communication was great, the pricing was clear, and they both worked their tails off to make sure that our day was all that we could have hoped for. They really went above and beyond from tracking down our signature drink recipe to wrapping my bouquet which I'd bought from Cub the morning of. (; I would tell everyone I know to consider having their wedding at Riverbend. I am so grateful to have had the chance.

For the most part, the venue was amazing! Beautiful view and great reception dinner area. My only issues were if you are doing an open bar up to a certain amount, be cautious. The bartenders nor the manager monitored how many drinks and shots people were coming up to get. By the time our wedding party and ourselves sat down to eat, we were being told that our minimum had been met already (it wasn’t even 7pm). We should not have to monitor our own bar and how many drinks guests were getting (the manager should have clarified with us when 4 guests decided to take advantage and order 12 shots every 15 minutes). My husband was told he had to pay for his first drink of the night which was not ok. Also, the bridal suite wasn’t really what we were promised. We were told that the bridal suite would be done by the time our wedding came around, and I feel like it was just thrown together quickly by the time wedding day came. Their “bridal suite” was basically just an oversized closet with one mirror and a couple of chairs and I had 9 bridesmaids and myself to get ready. So we had to use their bathroom for half the party to get ready in. The grooms suite was much bigger than ours and was what they promised it would be. So that was nice. The area where they had our DJ placed seemed a tad off. He was placed in a completely separate room from the dining area. But it all worked out perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this venue but make sure to give very specific details of how you want your bar services done and if you have a larger bridal party, I would say get ready off site.
