Riverdale Manor

The venue is gorgeous and has so many different spaces to really allow for any kind of activities. We had our ceremony in the pavilion (and family photos as well). It has cute lights and allows for an outdoor feel without the hassle of being on a lawn or in direct sun or out in rain. The reception area has space for many guests (we had 130), a bar area for happy hour, a nice hallway for welcome sign, guest book, table assignments, our ketubah, etc. The dinner hall has very high ceilings, an abundance of natural light, and has wood beam features that make the space have a natural, more rustic but still elegant feel. The farmhouse area had a room where we could do our ketubah signing more privately, changing areas with plenty of space and bathrooms for our wedding parties. The lawn and lawn games were wonderful to have and there was a back area just outside the farmhouse where we could set up our photobooth on the fly. The space is an incredible value alone. Everything else that comes with that is crazy - Thyme and Seasons catering made some delicious food for us (if they are listed as a separate vendor, we will add more info there but you seriously can't go wrong with the food - so good). There were tons of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan options so we had something for everyone. They even accommodated the few vegetarians with mushroom allergies because we selected the portobello wellington as our vegetarian dish before we knew some of our vegetarian guests had that issue! They were very accommodating and respectful of all the dietary and allergy needs as well as the fact we had a lot of folks in recovery from alcohol in attendance. The venue also comes with an expert day-of execution team that handled all the set up and breakdown, Maureen the owner and her assistants were all very helpful. Maureen I personally appreciated as the bride with a Type A personality because she kept things on schedule all day so I didn't have to. Her particular style is similar to mine in being a bit more of a commander type than some folks prefer, so I did get a few negative comments from my photographer, my wedding party, and the grooms family. One lesson I learned is to work with the Riverdale staff planner and photographer to pre-determine where the photos will be taken - this was a big blank spot I didn't catch and it contributed to some of the organization issues Maureen had to help with. In organizing and getting all the details sorted out ahead of the wedding Maureen was nothing but completely professional and clearly an expert. We were in and out with details hashed out quickly and I always knew we were on the same page because of her extremely detailed notes. I highly suggest taking the venue up on their capacity to set aside the backroom with some of the happy hour food and drinks for a quick private bite. I was able to eat so much more because of that set up and I am eternally grateful. I was able to enjoy the day and everything was beautiful. Do your wedding here!

My husband and I got married at Riverdale Manor this past weekend and I wish I could relive our day. We have family local to the area but we planned our wedding from another state. Coordinator Monica was assigned as our wedding coordinator and she was on top of it. The months leading up to the wedding, it seemed like I was emailing her every week to ask questions and she was so patient with all my questions. We had a meeting a couple of months prior to the wedding where Monica asked us questions on some of the details and logistics the day of. And set a timeline to all vendors the week leading up to the Wedding. On the day of the wedding Monica was the behind the scenes helping to run the show. Monica has a great memory and attention to details. When the florist placed flowers behind the ceremony chairs, Monica remembered I had mentioned wanting them at the top of the aisle and made sure to check with me and move them prior the ceremony start. It's a small detail that that showed she understood my vision. Food I was skeptical on all the good reviews on the food. The food surpassed my expectation and was even better then was what served during the tasting. The entrées were so flavorful and well-seasoned (I could not emphasize this enough - the food was delicious). We also selected to have the cobbler and ice cream station and our guests were raving about how delicious it was. We got many compliments on the food and were even sent home the next day with some leftovers of each entrée so it felt like we got to really enjoy our meal the next day without the hustle of the wedding. Grounds/Venue The primary reason we selected Riverdale Manor is because we wanted a place with beautiful grounds, ability to enjoy the outdoor area, but covering in case it rained. The grounds are magical and it feels like you are in the middle of a forest when you are 15 mins from downtown Lancaster. You can hear the river and birds chirping- like I said magical. We had both sunshine and rain on our wedding day - luckily the rain started at the beginning of the cocktail hour. One of my favorite memories is waiting in the house and looking out over the hill at our guests and the setup—it looked like a fairytale. Guests told us how magical it was to watch me walk up the hill, holding hands with my husband, with my wedding dress train flowing behind. In addition, the venue is already so beautiful that I did not feel the need to bring extra décor, furniture, and additional rental items. (like some of the other venue I saw). Riverdale has items that are free to borrow and other items that can be rented at a nominal cost (all located publicly on their website). It was nice to have to not have to worry about décor as much and to have to work with one less vendor on setting up candles and glasses vases. It also doesn't feel like they are trying to rip you off (e.g. some places charge more to have string lighting outdoors or planters hanging on the porch- at Riverdale its part of the decoration already). STAFF The staff on the day of the wedding were so nice, warm and seemed happy. They congratulated us anytime they walked by and ensured we had drinks / food and everything we needed. We truly had a magical day at Riverdale Manor. The grounds are beautiful and the staff made it all so seamless and easy. Our wedding day was perfect and I highly recommend Riverdale Manor.

We had the absolute BEST wedding at Riverdale Manor! Monica was a delight to work with and was so helpful throughout the whole process. I don't know how people plan weddings without coordinators!! There are so many small details we wouldn't have thought of, but Monica made sure no small detail was overlooked and helped us make our day even more special. We cannot thank Monica, Maddy, and the whole Riverdale Manor staff enough for such a lovely day! Everyone at Riverdale Manor was so kind and helpful and they really made our day feel effortless and stress-free. We didn't feel an ounce of stress the entire day. All the spaces are beautiful and the food was delicious! The whole team here is accommodating, flexible, and overall wonderful. We are so glad we got married here!! We cannot recommend this venue enough!

From the very beginning, they were incredibly hands-on, ensuring the venue and every detail matched our vision. Riverdale Manor was a perfect place for our December wedding - though it would be for any season! The grounds and buildings create a stunning backdrop for a timeless wedding. Maureen and her staff ensured the day was more than we could have ever dreamt! The whole process was easy and Maureen ensured no detail was overlooked. The day was AMAZING and they ensured that. Our guests kept commenting on the beauty of the venue. Also, everyone could not get over the PHENOMENAL food - Riverdale's caterer Thyme & Season is exceptional!

Getting married at Riverdale Manor was an absolute dream come true! From the stunning location to the incredible staff, every detail exceeded our expectations. We had the pleasure of working with Monica, who is an absolute gem. She’s sweet, kind, and her excitement for us made the entire planning process so enjoyable. She broke everything down into manageable steps, making what could have been an overwhelming process simple and stress-free. The venue itself is breathtaking. We got married in November and utilized the enclosed patio with heat lamps and a fireplace—it created the coziest and most romantic atmosphere. The serene location overlooking a river was exactly what we were looking for. Riverdale Manor also provided the catering through their company, Thyme and Season, and I cannot praise them enough. My family has a very long list of allergies (soy, shellfish, legumes, dairy, beans, eggs... to name a few), and as a gluten-free bride, I was worried about the food. But the team handled it all flawlessly—no one had an allergic reaction, which was my biggest concern, and we received so many compliments on the food. Seriously, our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious everything was! The staff at Riverdale went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. One of the most special surprises was after the ceremony when they escorted us to a private room with champagne and hors d'oeuvres. It gave us a quiet moment to soak in everything and enjoy each other before joining the reception—it was such a thoughtful touch. Having worked as a bartender and server for over 8 years and have worked my fare share of weddings, I can confidently say I’ve never been more impressed with a venue and their team. Riverdale Manor truly blew us away, and we are so grateful to them for making our day unforgettable. Stop reading reviews and book with them—you will not regret it!

I truly cannot say enough great things about our wedding at Riverdale Manor. From the moment we stepped on the grounds I loved the venue, with its equally beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. The entire process, from choosing our menu, to setting up a tasting, to the day-of coordination was pretty much seamless. Oh and guests RAVED about the food - some even said it was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding! Vashti was our coordinator and she was wonderful!!!! She answered all of my (many) questions throughout the planning process and was there the day of to set up decor and keep things running smoothly. Our wedding was truly the most beautiful and special day, and the staff at Riverdale Manor made that possible. I will always cherish these memories!!!!♥️♥️♥️

I just had my wedding reception and ceremony at Riverdale Manor on 4/21/24. The grounds are so perfect and Monica was an amazing event coordinator! They have an exclusive caterer (Thyme & Seasons) and their food is AMAZING! All night long my guests were raving about the food and the gorgeous venue. Monica was so helpful during my planning process, always answering my emails timely and helping make suggestions to make my event flow seamlessly. The day before the event I was able to drop off all my decor and they set it ALL up for me. She even has a whole list of preferred vendors which was very helpful as I am not a local. Thyme & Seasons catering was also a huge hit. We did stations (pasta, pacific rim, grilling) and the food was all cooked to perfection and incredibly tasty. I wish I could have had more of it! Everything is tastefully decorated and the setup of the venue is so nice. I loved getting ready in the vintage farmhouse but also having a more modern ballroom area for the reception was nice. There isn't a single negative thing I can say about Riverdale Manor. If you are looking for a more garden vibe spring ceremony...this is your location!

You MUST book your wedding at Riverdale Manor! There are not enough positive adjectives to describe our experience with them. From the moment we toured, we were welcomed wholeheartedly by Maureen and her team. The coordinators are incredibly easy to work with and will answer your questions and concern promptly. The menu is extensive with so many unique options to choose from! Vashti, our coordinator, left no stone unturned and was able to fulfill all of our requests. During the wedding, her team was never far away from me or my husband. They got our plates of food, drinks, and anything else that we needed from the moment we arrived for our wedding day. Guests are still marveling at how beautiful and well-run the facility is. Multiple people told us the food was the BEST they’ve EVER had at a wedding. We had SO many leftovers that we were able to serve at our after party and beyond. As an additional perk, they had winter decorations up for our December wedding— with no cost to us— to add to the festivities.Thank you Vashti and everyone at Riverdale Manor for making our wedding day beautiful and stress free!

My husband and I got married at Riverdale at the very end of December 2023. It was the perfect venue for our holiday wedding. We appreciated the staff's communication, attention to detail, and overall kindness to our guests. My husband and I felt at ease throughout the entire planning process; having Thyme and Seasons catering at the venue was so helpful. The food was beyond delicious and everyone left well fed! Our cake, also from Thyme and Seasons, was so beautiful and tasty. We cannot recommend Riverdale Manor enough! We are so grateful to have found such an amazing venue that made our wedding so magical!

Everyone needs to get married here!! I will recommend this venue to everyone for the rest of my life! The event staff is amazing and knows exactly how to make your day perfect. Rain or shine, this venue can accommodate you. GET MARRIED HERE!!
