The bacon lollipops grabbed our attention from the start but their attentiveness, helplessness and guidance helped us to have our dream wedding. Nora was phenomenal to work with and kept a track every step of the way without ever making us feel overwhelmed. They were well priced and worth every penny, we appreciated their willingness and flexibility to make the meal our own!

I cannot emphasize enough how amazing it was working with the Riverhouse. They catered our wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion in August. They worked together seamlessly with the Wadsworth staff and all of the vendors we used. They were able to help coach us throughout the day and give us tips/advice for our wedding day. The wedding planning process is very overwhelming and they helped us tremendously. The owner strives to have your wedding guests talking about your wedding as one they will always remember. Donna was absolutely amazing; we truly can’t say enough great things about how great she was to work with! Donna went above and beyond for us.

You would be hard pressed to find a better catering company anywhere! My husband and I got married in Stratford, CT in September 2023 and Riverhouse Catering made our dreams come true. The communication was stellar from the first meeting to the last. Mary, Donna, and the whole team were always available to answer questions and to put a stressed out bride at ease. The food is amazing. There are options for every diet and they are all to die for. Riverhouse can make anything happen (within reason). The organization from the whole team was amazing. Even in the rain, they were flawless. I would recommend Riverhouse to every couple getting married in CT. The value you get for the price you pay is unbeatable and the people are delightful. Riverhouse catering made our wedding wonderful! Mary was so professional and accommodating to ensure our wedding vision came to life. Riverhouse has amazing food, but they also offer so much more. We met with Mary multiple times leading up to our wedding to ensure any changes were made and all questions were answered. Have you ever been to a wedding where everyone could not stop raving about the food?? I am so proud to say that the food at our wedding was such a big hit! The short ribs came out steaming from beginning to end of dinner and were to die for! Everything from booking with Jim to planning with Mary to day of coordination with Donna, was professional, helpful, and perfect! Would recommend again and again!

I’m not even sure how to begin to thank you, Donna and the entire staff at Riverhouse Catering for making my daughters dream wedding a reality! The vision we had was exceeded (if that was even possible) …. I simply marvel at how gorgeous the entire day was from decorations to food to everything….no detail was left out!! Thank you for responding so quickly to every email we could possibly send you this past year and especially the last two weeks prior to the event, and for helping us make the best choices for that day…and thank you for keeping us calm throughout the entire process. We never worried because we knew you guys would blow it out of the park – and you did! Not only when it came to the menu for the wedding, but for keeping us calm on the day of the wedding. I am blown away…my guests were blown away…the wedding party was blown away….we chose the right venue (magical) and the right catering company (absolute rock stars) --- although, to be honest -- you are so so so so so so much more than catering and I hope people understand and know that. I was able to concentrate on enjoying every single moment of my daughters’ wedding day because I knew that Donna, you and your staff were handling every other detail for us from decorating , set ups, making our vision a reality and finally, for being there on the scene to actually line us up and guide us all down the aisle! I want you to know how special you will all be to me because I will never ever forget their wedding day and I want you to know that it was because of all of you that I was able to just simply be present and enjoy the day knowing you all had complete control over every single thing! To know that you make a girls wedding day the best day of their lives must be such a great feeling! And for us, that’s exactly what you did.

Riverhouse catered our wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion this past Labor Day and were just amazing! We worked with Mary for the planning process who was kind, patient, and extremely detailed oriented. She made us feel very special and taken care of throughout the whole year and a half of planning. The day of staff were also amazing, Joe in particular was a standout who helped get everyone in order and down the aisle and even bustled my dress! The bar and food staff were also a delight to work with, we had a dedicated attendant who made sure my husband and I were well fed and always had something to drink. The food itself was delicious and the guests were raving about it all Night. They even accommodated our late night snack request of breakfast sandwiches ! Great experience with them 10/10 would recommend.

Mary from Riverhouse was the MVP of wedding planning! We didn't go with any additional wedding planners/coordinators and honestly, didn't feel like we had to because Mary is literally the best. Due to our wedding falling on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, we had some hurdles with rental companies that Mary was able to use her connections to sort out for us with ease. Joe, our day of coordinator, was great as well and very attentive. From a planning and coordination perspective we would definitely recommend Riverhouse.

Riverhouse was absolutely wonderful to work with and helped make our wedding perfect. Mary was so helpful and nice, and OMG the food was fantastic. Not only was everything yummy but the presentation was lovely. We also purchased the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart and it was a HUGE hit. They were also very accommodating of guests with dietary restrictions.

We had some very specific requests for our wedding catering, and Riverhouse delivered! They crafted an incredibly scrumptious spread of hors d'oeuvres, dinner dishes, and cocktails. Each item was made to follow our wedding guests’ strict dietary restrictions, and they’re all still here. If you’re looking for a catering company, you’ve found the best one.

Like many others in this review section, I truly can not thank Mary, Donna and the Riverhouse Catering team enough for all they did to make our wedding perfect. If you are considering working with Riverhouse, do it! You will not regret your decision. The food was delicious (and very accommodating to guests with food restrictions) we received so many compliments from our gusts. Beyond that, their team's attention to detail and willingness to support in so many ways far exceeded my expectations. We held our wedding on a working farm - aka not your typical venue - which had potential to present challenges, but working with Riverhouse had the process of setting up the space and pulling off our dream wedding seem seamless and stress free. I cannot say enough nice things about Mary, Donna, and the rest of the Riverhouse catering staff. Leading up to our wedding day Mary was an absolute rockstar. She is hands down the most responsive, thorough, organized, and kind vendor I have worked with. This girl deserves all of the accolades! She made me feel so comfortable with the entire process, answered every single question we had, and went above and beyond for us on multiple occasions. I don’t know how she kept all of the details straight but she did, and then some! Then on the day of the wedding Donna and her team did such an amazing job! They were so kind and attentive - I had so many guests comment on how accommodating they were. The food was also the BEST food I’ve ever had at a wedding. My guests could not stop raving about it! 10/10 would recommend Riverhouse catering!

I just got back from my honeymoon and all I want to do is relive the awesomeness and perfection my wedding day. It was an absolute success because of Riverhouse Catering. They are a preferred vendor for the Glastonbury Boathouse. (In my opinion, they should be the number 1 vendor for catering and day of coordination.) From our initial call with Jim to working with Mary leading up to the Big Day and having Donna and Joe on the day of the wedding, Riverhouse Catering truly exceeded my expectations with their holistic approach in efficient and fast communication and most of all AMAZING FOOD!! They are more than just catering, they make sure your day is well-coordinated and that every detail is thought out well in advance. They are willing and enthusiastic to work with you and make your day exactly how you want it. They even accommodated guests with various food needs (allergies and religious restrictions). I cannot recommend them enough! Our guests are still commenting on how great the food tasted and how well everything went! Thank you so so much to the Riverhouse Catering Team! Ya'll are phenomenal!

My fiance and I planned an outdoor wedding for Labor Day weekend, 2021. We were hoping to catch the little bit of a window we had in the pandemic so we could have family and a few close friends attend. Riverhouse Catering was our first choice to help us pull this off, and help us they did! From the start, the detailed assistance with planning--not just the menu, but the flow of the entire event--was incredibly helpful. The pre-even staff are extremely experienced and professional. The day-of-event staff were extremely professional as well. They were very attentive to everyone's needs. The staff accommodated guests ranging from toddlers to elderly, and also managed to accommodate our guests with dietary restrictions. They also accommodated our requests for wedding staff to wear masks due to the presence of a number of guests at high-risk from Covid. Our guests raved about the food and the level of service. I cannot think of one single aspect of the catering that was not above our expectations. We were very glad we put our special day in the hands of Riverhouse Catering. They carried off our backyard wedding and reception beautifully! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Hands down, the best food and the best service! I simply could not have planned my wedding with out help from Mary and the staff there, who were with me every step with check in calls and emails. They saw my vision and helped me bring it to life in a way I never thought possible. The staff they sent the day of were beyond professional and accommodating, and even helped me carry my dress in the mud. Some of the staff even drove the linens out to the venue the day before so I could set up early. And don’t get me started on the quality of the food, it was unbelievable!!

We can not say enough amazing things about this company!! They were the most flexible, accommodating group we have ever worked with! Their coordinator Mary was amazing! We had to postpone our wedding during Covid and their team made the process so easy and stress free. Their team is incredibly patient and came to our off site location to help get themselves prepared for our weekend. Would recommend them to any and everyone who needs a caterer for any event!!

Completely recommend working with Riverhouse Catering. Their packages are super reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive. We loved all the food that was served at our wedding and got so many compliments from our guests. Also all the staff was so amazing to work with and made sure we were taken care of all night. The event coordinator made sure every detail was covered and executed perfectly - and it turned out that way. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID, and they had no problem switching arrangements. We would not recommend them more!

Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 2020 at the Society Room of Hartford. After three postponements due to the pandemic, we were able to switch venues and still use Riverhouse Catering for our wedding. We are so thankful to Jim and Paula for helping us make this transition and for moving our entire contract from Society Room to Riverhouse Catering. We were finally able to have our wedding and Riverhouse Catering did a great job. The food was delicious- our guests were raving about it. Mary was our point person and she was FANTASTIC- incredibly responsive to email, revising our contract with every change we made, meeting us both on zoom and at our venue in the months leading up to the wedding. They were extremely professional, everything was executed beautifully on the wedding day. The service was great and we were very very happy with RHC!!

We really enjoyed our experience with Riverhouse! They were able to adjust to our guest count due to COVID and really worked to make sure the evening was special. They paid close attention to detail and made sure that were were happy with everything from our tasting to the venue walkthrough. The guest really enjoyed the food and raved about the ice cream bar!! Overall a really great experience!

I loved working with Riverhouse for our wedding! Not only was the food amazing, but they were so thorough with helping us make a customized schedule for the day, keeping that schedule on track during the day, and even making sure decorations and a lot of small details were all set so I wouldn't have to stress on the day of. Everyone on staff was super personable and good at keeping on top of things. As I said before the food was absolutely delicious. They had a great variety of fresh whole foods and also were super accommodating to provide options for our guests with dietary restrictions. We did a buffet style and my husband and I were actually disappointed that all the food went cuz we were looking forward to having leftovers haha.

My husband and I fell in love with each bite of flavorful appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The bar staff and professional waitstaff made our night feel refined. BONUS: the happy couple has a dedicated attendant throughout the event to ensure you taste each bite and stayed hydrated. We highly recommend Riverhouse Catering for any off-site event, especially a fall wedding under a tent in Connecticut.

My husband and I got married on October 5th 2019 at Chatfield Hollow Farm and Inn in Killingworth, CT. From the moment they arrived, the Riverhouse Catering staff were very friendly and organized - they carefully displayed all of our decor items exactly how we wanted, set up our cocktail hour & reception tent to look absolutely beautiful, and served a clean, delicious buffet! At one point as we were waiting in line to begin the ceremony, I said to my dad that I wanted to rest my feet. One of the caterers must've overheard and without hesitation, she pulled over a chair and handed me a water bottle - it was such a sweet gesture and helped calm my nerves as we conversed. Kirsten, the catering sales manager, is the best of the best! From day one, I felt so comfortable talking with her and asking my millions of questions. She was always incredibly friendly, organized, reliable, timely and bubbly; she never once seemed overwhelmed and always gave me her time of day (even called me one afternoon while she was on her way to a doctor's appointment)! Book with Riverhouse Catering and you won't be upset! Thank you so much to all of the staff for making our day unforgettable and perfect!

Our wedding was an absolute DREAM COME TRUE … in large part to Riverhouse Catering. From the very beginning of the planning process their staff, in particular the Catering Sales Manager, Kirsten Perchout, was incredibly helpful. I tend to be very detail oriented and always had a ton of questions and our countless emails were always answered promptly with thoughtful responses. She guided us through the entire planning process and offered great suggestions to really personalize our special day. Subsequently, our wedding day was perfect – without one misstep. The day-of staff was so incredibly helpful, and led our event with professionalism and precision. Ashley, Louise, and the rest of the day-of staff made sure my husband and I, along with our wedding party had plenty of food and drinks while we took pictures during the cocktail hour as to not miss out on any of our festivities. They were attentive, organized, and kept our event on track! There is not one negative thing we can say about Riverhouse Catering, we will forever be grateful to them for helping us create an unforgettable wedding experience!

These guys are true professionals. Working with Kirsten was a great experience as she is so organized and will work with you to incorporate any detail to make your day perfect. The food was amazing. The house recipe for the fall sangria was to die for. I had quite a few guests with various dietary restrictions that were accommodated flawlessly. Mary and Jake were the day-of coordinators and executed everything without a hitch. My bridal attendant, Louise, was the sweetest and made sure I had everything I needed. Like I said, truly professional people who are the best in the business.

When my fiance and I got engaged, we were ALL over the place in terms of wedding planning. First we were going to do backyard event, then we checked out the Boathouse in Hartford, then back to backyard, then we finally decided on The Hill Stead Museum in Farmington. One constant during this time? Kirsten and co. from Riverhouse Catering. Every time we changed our minds, she was right there, answering our insane questions, and making me feel like this was 100% normal. When we finally booked with RHC, we decided on stationary dinner with upgrades to our bar and cocktail hour packages. We were invited to a very lavish food tasting which during, I must have told my family 27 times, "this is the best day of my life"! It was a really fun day trying everything that would soon be at our wedding! Leading up to the wedding, we had a meeting with Kirsten 1:1, where she asked us zillions of questions such as "who is providing table numbers, where is the cake going to be" etc. etc. and walked us through the entire day. We had hired an awesome wedding coordinator as well, but had we not, RHC would have had our backs. The week before the wedding, we met Kirsten, the director of events Mary, and our captain, Jake, at our wedding location for a very detailed walk through. It was reassuring to know that every single detail was taken care of.The day of our wedding was truly the best day of my life, and a huge part of that is due to RHC and how seamlessly they run their events. Jake and his staff did a phenomenal job - the food was incredible, bars were hopping, and the servers were fantastic. We had a bridal attendant with us, Nicole, who ensured our plates were filled and drinks were flowing all night. At the end of our reception, RHC packed up all of our stuff in our boxes, helped us load our cars up, and sent us on our way!I think it's worth mentioning that RHC provides not only food, but the liquor/wine/beer should you choose the bar package, plates, cutlery, linens, glassware, staff, bartenders, chefs, chafing dishes, etc. Many catering companies that I contacted did not provide all of this, and in the end, we went with RHC because they are full-service from start to finish. While the price at first might seem higher than other caterers, I think the value in having someone who handles all of those sometimes forgotten things is well worth it.I would definitely recommend Riverhouse Catering, and Kirsten and Jake specifically, to anyone who is in the initial stages of wedding planning.

Riverhouse made the planning process easy from the very beginning. They worked hard to assure everything I envisioned came to life. Kirsten was always quick to respond & help with any questions and concerns I had. Our server Sofia didn’t leave anything to be desired. Anything we needed she got immediately for us. Riverhouse isn’t only a catering service. They help with every step of the wedding planning process down to setting up decorations and helping with rentals. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Riverhouse was fantastic to work with! Kirsten helped us constantly feel better throughout the planning process since we didn’t have a wedding planner. The day of coordination went seamlessly. I constantly had bridal attendants by my side to assist with getting me drinks, putting up my bustle, and making sure I sat down to eat dinner. I had so many guests comment on how fantastic the food was. We had a buffet style with the short ribs and guests were raving about them! We really can’t thank Riverhouse enough for helping our day come together so perfectly!

What a joy it was to work with the team at Riverhouse! I had a long engagement but they still checked in with me regularly and were quick to respond whenever I had questions or concerns. They are so thorough and I was able to trust in them fully. Kirsten, my main point of contact, is a total rock star. She made sure we were on the same page and was able to pivot whenever something had to change, like the total headcount, or a specific hors d'oeuvre, whatever it was she would listen and come up with a plan, and on the big day I didn't have to worry about a single thing- she went above and beyond getting in touch with my other vendors to make sure everything went smoothly. Oh and, let's not forget, the food & drinks were GREAT.

Riverhouse is amazing! My husband and I were lucky enough to work with them for our wedding day and Riverhouse exceeded our expectations. Everyone we worked with was organized, professional, friendly and accommodating! Our wedding was at my parents house and they were able to set up a kitchen right next to the main tent and served amazing food! All of our guests really enjoyed the passed appetizers and meals they were served, all the food was not only delicious but beautiful to look at, our salads with the peaches and bib lettuce were a work of art! Our wedding was extremely colorful, like all the colors, and Riverhouse came up with inventive rainbow food to add to our cheese bar and dessert bar, rainbow mac&cheese, rainbow bread for grilled cheeses, rainbow marshmallows, rainbow mousse...everyone loved this and it was just magical. Riverhouse was also able to accommodate my fathers last minute dietary restrictions, he recently became a vegan, and they prepared a vegan option just for him! We truly couldn't recommend them more!! The best!

I'm a wedding planner and recently worked with Riverhouse Catering for a client's wedding and they were just wonderful to work with! From the moment our inquiry was received, they were there to help us along the way. We attended their Grand Tasting to choose the client's menu and everything there was executed perfectly (and was so delicious!). After the tasting, they helped us create a custom vegetarian menu offering incorporating the bride's favorite dish - pasta. Day-of they arrived on time and set everything up exactly as we asked. The food was delicious and guests were so pleased. We had a great experience working with them and would recommend to all future couples!

We could not have been happier with Riverhouse Catering! The bride, her sisters, and several of our guests have severe food allergies. Not only was Riverhouse accommodating with the menu but they reassured us throughout the process that they were taking every precaution to ensure that the food would be safe for all! The food was delicious and we had a great time working with Kirsten and Jake! The venue was at a private residence, obviously a location that they would not be familiar with, and it was like they did events there every weekend! They worked well with the other vendors and were truly the glue that held the entire reception together! We will always recommend them to anyone else having a wedding in Connecticut!

As the Mother of the Bride, I cannot say how grateful I am that we selected Riverhouse Catering for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. Their level of professionalism, the quality of their services (and the food! oh my!) are outstanding. Kirsten Pechout was our primary contact and she ensured that every detail was covered and that we had all the support we needed throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding. They were wonderful in working with the venue (the New England Air Museum) as well. The staff at the event were marvelous and really took care of us before, during, and after the reception. Everyone thought the food was delicious - and the bridal couple even had a "care package" of dinner and desserts for their first night on the road home. We loved working with Riverhouse for our May 2018 wedding. And our guests all raved about how wonderful the team was, too! We chose Riverhouse based on their seasonal menu and the tasting we had. We were able to build our package and menu with the help of Kirsten and the team. Kirsten answered all of our questions and worked with our wedding venue as well. We had a few special requests such as having a nut free appetizer menu for our nephew who has a severe allergy. She also worked out for us to have a donut holes cake. The team during our wedding was awesome, too. Our bridal attendant was so friendly and attentive. Honestly, I had no idea how important it was to have a bridal attendant until we actually had one! Kirsten also handled all our additional rentals. And they set up our decorations and props! Really, Riverhouse was everything for our wedding because they did more than "prepare food", they helped plan and organize the majority of our special day! Would recommend them to anyone!

I can't imagine our wedding without Kirsten and the whole Riverhouse team! We originally started working with another catering manager who helped us initiate our process with Riverhouse and we loved her, so we were VERY nervous when we found out she was leaving. Lucky for us- we were linked up with Kirsten and I couldn't have been happier! Kirsten was so incredibly helpful planning every detail of our wedding reception, we couldn't have done it without her! She kept us on task, and stress free (with a lot of laughs along the way!) The time and attention we received made it feel like we were their only couple getting married, and we were blown away by the much appreciated professionalism, genuineness, and thoughtfulness that went into every meeting, every email (which there were quite a few of!) and the actual wedding day. She helped us plan sweet surprises for each other throughout the night and made our day truly special. I could cry happy tears thinking of our wedding day team (Jake, Judy, and Della...they are the dream team, fight for them!) They treated every guest--not just the bride and groom-- like royalty, and went so far above and beyond that all of our guests are still raving about this staff (and we've got some TOUGH critics!). The food was impeccable (if you don't get the house braised BBQ short ribs, you'll regret it! They're to die for!) They took every request, every allergy very seriously and our guests were falling in love with every bite. We had a tricky venue setup to work with, but our Riverhouse chef and staff were champs and never missed a beat! Riverhouse catered our wedding at The Society Room last week and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the chance to go to a tasting to sample the hors d'oeuvres, appetizers,salads and entrees and we really were blown away by how great everything was. The short rib was to die for and all of our guests were commenting on how amazing the food was from start to finish. We had a few guests with allergies and this was taken into consideration and on the day they received adapted versions of the dishes which was wonderful. If there's one thing you hope guests take away from a wedding it's that there was great food and Riverhouse definitely provided that!Would highly recommend!

The Best Wedding!!! My husband and I worked with Kirsten and Riverhouse Catering to hold our wedding at the New Britain Museum of American Art this summer. They were amazing! From our very first phone call, we were so impressed by their professionalism, attentiveness, and flexibility. Kirsten met with us multiple times during the planning stages, and always followed up with emails about what needed to happen next. She also responded to all of our (many) emails and phone calls about various details and questions, and was always thorough and clear in her replies. Even when we got flustered or forgot something, Kirsten was always on top of things, and made us feel completely confident that everything would be taken care of . And the wedding itself: WOW! As soon as we entered the museum, we were blown away by how beautiful it all looked. Everything was done so professionally and with such elegance. And all of the staff were really fantastic. Jake ensured that everything ran smoothly, and we had a personal attendant, Della, who took care of everything that we and our families needed during the night. Not to mention the food and drinks: absolutely delicious! And when we forgot some of our items in the rush to leave (we were celebrating up until the very end!), Jake met with us the next day so we could pick everything up. We cannot express how amazing it was to be able to just let go and have fun that night, with complete trust that everything was in excellent hands. We received so many compliments from our friends and family on the wedding--some of them saying it was the best they had ever attended! It goes without saying that we would absolutely recommend Kirsten, Jake, and Riverhouse to anyone planning a wedding. We are so incredibly grateful to them all for putting together an evening we will never forget!

Kirsten & the staff at Riverhouse Catering were amazing! Our timeline was very short. Kirsten was so polite, professional & flexible. Already having had a previous great experience with Riverhouse, I am not surprised by how flawlessly everything ran, but I want to give a shout-out to Judy Ann & the fabulous staff on Saturday night. My guests raved over the wonderful food. I overheard many people comment on it and some made a point of telling me how delicious and unique the appetizers were. We have a family with multiple food allergies & Kirsten & the Riverhouse chef were extremely accommodating. The chef made changes to the menu items, substituted items & made a delicious meal that my whole family (& non-allergic friends) could enjoy. I am so indebted to your chef for providing an allergy-friendly spread that my family & friends alike were able to enjoy. Again, I cannot tell you how delighted my 3 daughters & my husband were to be able to eat such a wide variety of offerings at a party. They are used to being reduced to only a few foods at a gathering. The museum was beautiful, the various food stations were attractive, the bar was easily accessible. Everything was top-notch. Riverhouse Catering will be my first choice for all my future events!

Riverhouse Catering, with the team managed by Kirsten, the Catering Sales Manager, was instrumental in making our daughter's wedding on June 30, 2018 absolutely spectacular! Prior to the wedding, Kirsten attended two very long meetings at Folly Farm in Simsbury, CT, the wedding venue. She was organized, receptive to our requests, handled our concerns with professionalism, and managed the extensive details involved in a 235 person wedding, like the true professional that she is. The on-site event coordinator, Jake, also came out to the venue and familiarized himself with the extensive property, prior to the wedding. Jake did an amazing job in managing the timing, preparation, service and amazing quality and presentation of the food. Riverhouse was responsible for providing the bar and bartenders, linens, silverware, glassware, etc. for this gorgeous outdoor wedding. The tables were set to perfection, and there were more than enough wait staff ensure that everything was executed to perfection. The attendant dedicated to the bride and groom and their parents, Della, was fabulous! She continually made sure that we all had food, beverages to keep us cool on that very hot day, and ensured that anything needed was attended to. Riverhouse's off-site catering team was truly a group of highly trained and professional people. The quality of the pre-wedding coordination, day-of service, attention to detail and incredible food were beyond our expectations. This team was instrumental in making our daughter's and son in law's wedding the wedding of their dreams! As Mother of the Bride, I cannot commend Riverhouse Catering enough, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding caterer!

We were very pleased with Riverhouse Catering for our wedding this past June. Throughout the process, we really appreciated their communication and professionalism. Kirsten and Jake were very easy to work with and even made the long trip out to Pomfret, CT multiple times to coordinate with our venue's staff. When building our menu, the team was incredibly flexible and attentive to our dietary needs. Even better, our guests raved about the appetizers (bacon wrapped dates!) and desserts (strawberry shortcake bar). Also, my husband loved the fact that he was able to pick anything he wanted for his main course. This is such a nice and thoughtful touch! Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend Riverhouse Catering without reservations.

We recently had an outdoor wedding in Haddam Neck, Connecticut catered by Riverhouse Catering. They did a fantastic job with every detail of our day, and bringing our vision into reality. The food itself was wonderful, and several guests raved about the salmon in particular. Also the passed appetizers were awesome as well (my favorite was the bacon wrapped spiced apples and figs). Kirsten, Dawn, Jake and the rest of the team listened to every detail we wanted when it came to setting up the venue. Also we had a staff member make sure that our every need was taken care of, which was crucial because it would have been super easy to forget to eat given all of the festivities. She was awesome, and deserves a special shout out, so thanks so much Molly! All in all we couldn't have been happier with our experience from start to finish.

It was a pleasure working with Dana and Evan as we planned our wedding for 9/30/17! They were both enthusiastic, attentive and flexible and helped us customize a menu using locally sourced ingredients. The appetizers and harvest table were abundant, the beer selection was strong and everyone loved their meal, including my very picky grandma! Della was our bridal attendant and made sure everyone was comfortable, happy and well fed. We would definitely recommend Riverhouse to other couples planning their big day!

Riverhouse recently catered our outdoor wedding in Ellington CT. I cant thank them enough for how above and beyond they went to make every detail perfect. Evan was amazing to work with and was very organized at every meeting we had. I received so many compliments on not only how great the food was, but how friendly and accommodating the staff was as well. I was so impressed at how custom they made our menu for us. Our daughter Marrit married her best friend, Ben on Saturday, Oct 7th, 2017 in New Hartford at Berkshire Hall in Brodie Park. Riverhouse Catering worked with Celebrations by Christina to pull off a phenomenal, stress free event. We could not have been more pleased with Riverhouse's services. From setup to cleanup it was a breeze, for us! As mother of the bride I could not have asked for a more relaxing, fun day! I would totally recommend Riverhouse Catering for any event. The short ribs? To die for!!! Speaking as a very frugal New Englander, every penny was money well spent! Thank you Evan, Jake and DELLA!!!! You Rock! Della took care of the bride and groom and we parents and holy cow, was she wonderful!

We used Riverhouse Catering for our wedding at New Britain Museum of American Art, we had an amazing experience. Throughout the planning stage, Evan helped us to get organized and open to our creative ideas on decoration. On our wedding day, she stayed and hugged us before the ceremony started, which was a pleasant surprise as she wasn't the coordinator assigned onsite. Our guests enjoyed the food and they were amazed at how awesome the service was. The decoration turns out even better than I expected. I would recommend their service to any couple, especially those who want to create an unique wedding experience.

Riverhouse did an AMAZING job with our wedding. We consider ourselves "foodies" and as such have very specific taste. They allowed us to custom design our hors d'oeuvres and entree dishes to fit our preferences. Besides the incredible food, we took full advantage of their event coordination services and couldn't be happier. We decided not to use a wedding planner, despite full time jobs and graduate school, and Evan was there to help us every step of the way. She never questioned our crazy ideas. She always asked the questions I would never think to have an answer to. The thing we found most impressive was the way they handled complications on the day of the event. Jake was such a calming presence which assured us they had it all under control. It wasn't perfect, there were things that didn't go according to plan, but we didn't even notice! Before we even found out what was wrong, they were already working on a solution. The kicker - they were much less expensive than the other 5 caterers we received proposals from! Overall, fantastic! We would highly recommend Riverhouse for any event.

The Riverhouse catered our wedding in July. They were extremely thorough and help to walk you through the entire process. The food was phenomenal! They offer plenty of seasonal varieties to choose from and our guests loved it. The wait staff the day of the wedding were attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. I would absolutely recommend their services.
