I could go on and on about how amazing Rob was!! He truly made our wedding day one to remember. From start to finish, he kept the day running smoothly & upbeat. I got SO MANY compliments on him & how great he was. Thank you Rob for all that you did for us on our wedding day, we will never forget you!!
Rob Clark went ABOVE AND BEYOND for my wedding day on December 29, 2018. I can honestly say that without Rob, my wedding day would have been an unorganized mess. He is thorough, knows how to read a crowd, and knows how to get the crowd involved. If you look at this ceremony and reception paperwork, those are a great indication about how perfect your day will be. I have been in a lot of weddings where the music skipped as the bride walked down the aisle, this did not happen once and it was breathtaking. There was one point I looked up during the reception and most of my wedding guests were on the dance floor; I was overwhelmed with how incredible the night was. I had countless people come up and tell me how it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. I highly recommend getting the lighting package, it was awesome! Rob asked me before the wedding what I wanted to remember about our night, I told him I wanted a big party and a night to remember. He delivered tenfold. My guests especially loved how Rob went around and gave each table a piece of paper/pens and asked them to brainstorm the top 10 songs they wanted played. I know he played at least half of the songs from each table. He even had my 97 year old great grandma grooving!! Rob 100% knows what he is doing and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks again Rob!
I only put one star because there isn't zero. I would hate for any other bride and groom to be burned like we were. Here is the email I had to send after Rob didn't show up to my wedding with no notice:
"We were highly disappointed with the DJ services for our wedding.
From what both of us pulled from the phone call you had with us Thursday before the wedding, we thought that you would be having some people come and help you unload your equipment. It wasn't until the day of did we realize that wasn't the case without any notice. Because of the lack of prior communication with these people, their service simply wasn't good. Maybe if we'd met them before and had a similar 2hr session of prep and planning that we had with you it would have been OK, but we didn't and didn't have the opportunity to. Instead, we were forced to have people we have never met run the most expensive thing we have ever planned, and we were very unsatisfied with the experience.
The vibe was basic, not similar to our personality, and unlike anything what we discussed with you during the planning session.
We gave a break down of everything that went wrong/ we disliked to ensure you understand to what extent we were unsatisfied before calling you to discuss our complete refund:
-Music skipped as the each member of the wedding party walked down aisle, including the bride with bad feedback
-Started in wrong place for song during recessional
-DJ's didn't have the interaction with our crowd we were expecting. You sold us on your interaction and ability to work a crowd. These DJ's didn't have that.
-The DJ panicked learning pronunciation of names of everyone last minute for intros into the reception.
-They both asked more than 7 times that night for money from my day of coordinator.
-After multiple people asked for different songs, they were rude did not actually change it. They didn't play for the age of our crowd whatsoever
-They didn't play from Abby's list at all even after being asked to directly by Abby, the bride.
-The very first song they played was 80s, along with many of the other songs during reception. We said we weren't slow music 80's music fans. May of the songs we didn't recognize or enjoy.
-They played a random (terrible light rock easy listening) song when Abby's grandparents won the "longest together" - not "Unforgettable" as we discussed with you
-In the end it seems the 2 hours of time we spent with you was wasted as they didn't seem to know any of the info from that session.
-They didn't engage tables to sing/click glasses as you were going to.
-They dismissed everyone at once for the food truck, resulting in a line about an hour long. This really disrupted the flow and experience of the reception as most guest were outside line for much of the reception time. This pushed back everything in the run of show to happening much later.
-They skipped having the blessing from Sam's brother and welcome from Abby's mom as Abby had in the run of show.
-We didn't have an MC- you sold us on you "running the party" and we didn't get that.
-No up lighting, the overhead fan lights in the venue were just ON during our first dance and my dance with my father.
Bottom line -we met with you and were sold on you and your personality and the way you'd run the wedding. We didn't get that experience. None of those expectations were met, and were were very unsatisfied with how the DJ services turned out.
I cannot say enough good things about this man. Rob did a phenomenal job. He was more than just a DJ, he was an MC (master of ceremonies) in every sense of the word. We didn't need a "day of" coordinator bc he ran it all. He was incredibly organized and kept everything running on schedule. He got people on the dance floor that I've never seen get up and dance! And he accommodated all of our music and scheduling requests. I'm still getting compliments on him 6 weeks after the wedding. We all had a BLAST. He also did this unique thing called our "Love Story," for which we filled out a questionnaire a few weeks prior to the wedding about how we met, early dating days, the proposal, and why we wanted to be together. We weren't allowed to look at each other's before hand. At the wedding, he sat us down in the middle of the dance floor and told our Love Story. He took our responses and wove them into a beautiful story for all our guests. Everyone was laughing and crying! He also did a "longest married couple" dance during which all the married couples got on the dance floor, and he whittled down the couples until only the longest married couple was still on the dance floor. He was just all around awesome. He was SO FUN and so easy to work with. He was worth every single penny. (we hired him bc he did our friend’s wedding and was fantastic)
Rob and his team truly made our reception unforgettable! He has an engaging presence that kept the celebration and energy going all night. Our guests loved him. Highly recommend!
We hired Rob Clark for our wedding after being impressed by his rave reviews and after being impressed when we met him in person for our initial consultation. He was somewhat slow to respond during the planning process, but he was thorough and answered all of our questions. However, we were rather disappointed with the overall service (and value) for our wedding. We couldn't reach him for a couple of weeks leading up to the wedding, and when I finally got in touch with him the day before the wedding, Rob told us he wouldn't be able to make it! He told us this THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. And I had to contact him - he wasn't even going to tell us?! He still sent his coworker (his son, Rob), and promised us that we'd get every bit of entertainment and WOW that we expected (and paid a pretty penny for). The entertainment was adequate - so this isn't a review of bad DJing, but it just wan't what we expected. We expected incredible, amazing, awesome entertainment, and we got "good" DJing. Rob's DJing service is more expensive than a lot of DJ services out there, but he promised us that he was worth every penny. We disagree. There were some issues too - we requested to have brief first dance/ mother-son dance, etc., and for him to fade out the music after about 30-45 seconds, but he played the songs nearly in their entirety; some special songs we requested weren't played at all; a particular song we requested for the 'longest marriage' dance was played at the wrong time, so he played it AGAIN so we could do the special dance; he didn't have the farewell song we requested, and he didn't realize it until it was time for us to say our goodbyes. That was awkward!
I contacted Rob a couple of weeks after the wedding to share all of this with him. Again, I had to contact him. And he didn't offer any sort of amends.
Though Rob Clark's entertainment may be worth the price he charges - we will never know. And we can say that his professionalism definitely is NOT worth the price.
Rob was AMAZING!! We had SO many people come up and tell us that our reception was the funnest that they've ever been too, and we had other people ask for his information to book at their own wedding. We had originally wanted a band for our reception, but I know that no band could have made our reception as great as Rob did.
Rob Clark was an awesome DJ...but he served as so much more. Rob got our guests dancing, read the crowd and played hits that EVERYONE loved. He was funny and sweet and his wife helped everyone have a good time. Finally, Rob stepped in when our cellists left 10 minutes into the cocktail hour after being contracted for the entire thing. He had music ready to go and took care of the hiccup so flawlessly that I didn't realize what happened until a few days after the wedding. Rob Clark is the best of the best. If you're trying to decide between band or DJ, Rob is the way to go. Thanks for making our wedding the party we wanted it to be!
Rob is truly the best! SO much fun and so professional! We've been married almost a month and we are steadily receiving compliments on him! Thank you such an amazing time Rob!
