enue for us - not only did they check all the boxes for what we were looking for, but the team instantly made a great impression on us. Technically, Roche's season ends on October 31st, but they made it clear they had no problem whatsoever doing a November 1st wedding for us. We set up a tour of the venue within the next week (with a comped stay in their nicest suite - a very nice gesture that had us sold before the tour even started) and from there, everything was perfect. The location is beyond gorgeous. The ferry ride sets the stage, and then by the time you get to the entryway arch at the resort, you can feel that you're walking into a truly magical place. The grounds are immaculately manicured and maintained, the trees and nature were picture-perfect for our Fall wedding, and the view of the marina and water can't be beat. The staff here deserves the biggest of shout-outs. Every single person you meet acts like they truly care about you and your experience at the resort. I had questions about the rehearsal dinner and the head chef, Bill Shaw, personally reached out to talk to me about them. That's a good indicator of the type of effort every single person puts in to make every stay and interaction at Roche the best that it can be. From the front desk, with their tireless fulfillment of our million golf cart ride requests (thank you Remy, Mitch, and the rest of the crew!!) to the servers, bartenders, and everyone else, you will never find a more dedicated and phenomenal team of people. Of course, I have to specifically talk about how great Ashley and Stina were through the whole process. I am a big planner, with countless questions to ask, and they took my 100+ emails over the course of these last 8 months in stride. There simply are not enough positive words to say about them. If you book a wedding with Roche Harbor, they will be your point people, and you will feel confident you're in the best hands possible. If you care about your guests' experience coming to your wedding, then here's another thing RH does very well. We got a ton of compliments about every facet of the weekend. Guests liked that they got called a week before arriving, to check in about their travel details (such as having a ferry ride booked), and their upcoming stay. We also got lots of compliments about the beauty of the spot, the food, the drinks, and how nice the houses on site are. I'm running out of characters now, but the food absolutely has to be mentioned. I've been here 4 times now and the food has always been amazing. It exceeded even my expectations during my wedding weekend though. We did a Halloween rehearsal event for all the guests at Madrona and the "Time of Our Lives" dinner package was a huge hit. At least 10 people specifically mentioned how good the grilled cheese slider was. The reception dinner was even more well received. The Beecher's Mac and Cheese hash was described by multiple people as being the best thing they've ever eaten, and the prime rib carving station was amazing too. I could have 3500 words, not characters, for this review and it wouldn't be close to enough to say all I want to say.
