enue for us - not only did they check all the boxes for what we were looking for, but the team instantly made a great impression on us. Technically, Roche's season ends on October 31st, but they made it clear they had no problem whatsoever doing a November 1st wedding for us. We set up a tour of the venue within the next week (with a comped stay in their nicest suite - a very nice gesture that had us sold before the tour even started) and from there, everything was perfect. The location is beyond gorgeous. The ferry ride sets the stage, and then by the time you get to the entryway arch at the resort, you can feel that you're walking into a truly magical place. The grounds are immaculately manicured and maintained, the trees and nature were picture-perfect for our Fall wedding, and the view of the marina and water can't be beat. The staff here deserves the biggest of shout-outs. Every single person you meet acts like they truly care about you and your experience at the resort. I had questions about the rehearsal dinner and the head chef, Bill Shaw, personally reached out to talk to me about them. That's a good indicator of the type of effort every single person puts in to make every stay and interaction at Roche the best that it can be. From the front desk, with their tireless fulfillment of our million golf cart ride requests (thank you Remy, Mitch, and the rest of the crew!!) to the servers, bartenders, and everyone else, you will never find a more dedicated and phenomenal team of people. Of course, I have to specifically talk about how great Ashley and Stina were through the whole process. I am a big planner, with countless questions to ask, and they took my 100+ emails over the course of these last 8 months in stride. There simply are not enough positive words to say about them. If you book a wedding with Roche Harbor, they will be your point people, and you will feel confident you're in the best hands possible. If you care about your guests' experience coming to your wedding, then here's another thing RH does very well. We got a ton of compliments about every facet of the weekend. Guests liked that they got called a week before arriving, to check in about their travel details (such as having a ferry ride booked), and their upcoming stay. We also got lots of compliments about the beauty of the spot, the food, the drinks, and how nice the houses on site are. I'm running out of characters now, but the food absolutely has to be mentioned. I've been here 4 times now and the food has always been amazing. It exceeded even my expectations during my wedding weekend though. We did a Halloween rehearsal event for all the guests at Madrona and the "Time of Our Lives" dinner package was a huge hit. At least 10 people specifically mentioned how good the grilled cheese slider was. The reception dinner was even more well received. The Beecher's Mac and Cheese hash was described by multiple people as being the best thing they've ever eaten, and the prime rib carving station was amazing too. I could have 3500 words, not characters, for this review and it wouldn't be close to enough to say all I want to say. If you've read this far and you're still on the fence, let me leave you with this: this place is a dream and you will not regret booking your wedding here!!

chefs, the wedding coordinators, the golf cart drivers to only name a few were so professional, helpful and  friendly. The food was second to none and exactly what we were hoping for. The accommodations were amazing from the villas, condominiums to the hotel rooms. Add to this the spectacular views and grounds and you have an idyllic wedding which we certainly did have.

They were always responsive and helpful and offered so much guidance to my partner and I. Our guests were also blown away by their time at Roche Harbor. It’s been a few months since our wedding and all our guests keep telling us how good the food was, how nice the staff was, and how beautiful Roche Harbor is. Roche Harbor is a little slice of heaven on earth and every detail, from the lit fireplaces in the courtyard & pavilion, to them announcing us as newly weds during the traditional colors ceremony. We cannot give this team enough praise. All we can say if we walked away from our wedding saying that was the most incredible day of our lives and we credit it to the amazing Roche Harbor Team. Planning was a breeze since Roche takes care of or provides many of the variables you need to handle at over venues (ex: catering, bar, and most of the rentals). It was also really useful to see so many photo examples of how other Roche weddings have been setup to help us determine what we wanted to do for ours. Also, the entire staff from planning through execution were timely, professional, helpful, and very attentive to our event. The food at our reception was delicious (many guests still mention how good the passed appetizers were especially) and we couldn’t have asked for more. We definitely recommend having your wedding/reception at Roche Harbor!

We had a 170 person wedding, and they hosted us for a welcome dinner at Lime Kiln, a rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Shipwreck Beach, the most stunning wedding at the Sunken Garden, Cocktail hour at the Courtyard, Reception in the Pavilion, and Farewell Brunch at McMillians. It was the best weekend of our lives, all our guests raved about how much they loved it (guests from 20+ states and countries traveled in), and said it felt like a vacation for them- which was our goal. I've been to 30+ weddings in my life, and I am so proud and honored to have had it at Roche. It is a special place, but the staff there makes it even better. BIG hugs to you all!

r first viewing appointment, Laura was wonderful. She gave us tons of ideas and useful information and we felt absolutely zero pressure from her to book a date. After booking, the entire events team was very helpful and on the ball, which I appreciated. They took the time to answer every little annoying bride question thoroughly and happily. They also always responded in a timely manner, which is so helpful for an overwhelmed bride. They also offered recommendations for other vendors which was super helpful. The entire planning process with them from the event spaces, to the room block, to the food and beverage service was very smooth and simple. Because they handle so much, I opted not to hire a wedding planner. At times it was a challenge for me, but it is totally doable if you are a hands on bride or have family and friends that are helpful. By the time my wedding came around, the events staff member I had been working with went on maternity leave, I do feel that a few small details were missed due to this, but nothing catastrophic. I have been through the maternity leave process myself, so I know how challenging it can be to get everything ready before you leave, and it’s really nothing that made for a bad experience. The team was super helpful the day before the wedding with our rehearsal and final planning meeting and left me feeling completely at ease going into the following day - which is saying a lot because I am a stress ball. The ceremony and cocktail hour ran perfectly smooth (again with no planner or day of coordinator). The servers made a point to bring my husband and I drinks and plates of appetizers, obviously knowing that it can be difficult for the bride and groom to find a second to eat and drink - this was a really nice touch. We opted for a plated salad and buffet style dinner. The food was amazing and all of the feedback we have received from our guests was great. As we know, our guests’ opinions of the food can make or break how we feel about our wedding. The bar manager was also great and super accommodating. We had a few odd requests and he rolled with them, with a smile on his face, when others in his position would have been annoyed. I also have to give a shout-out to the culinary team members who helped us store our cake. We had some random questions that were totally not even in their realm of expertise and they were happy to answer them and help us figure things out. A few small details to consider - Washington State is pretty strict with their food and liquor laws for event venues and Roche Harbor operates very much “by the book” (as they should). Due to this, you can be a little limited in some things (for example, no beer boys in lieu of flower girls, and no leftovers, which is a bummer because the food is delicious). There is also a mandatory 25% gratuity, which is a little high, and maybe it’s just the part of me that doesn’t like being told how to feel about something that reacted to this lol, but at the end of the day, the service was amazing, the events team was amazing, and I couldn’t imagine having my wedding anywhere else. Just like every other bride, it was my best day ever and totally worth every penny.

team. Nothing went wrong, everyone was so incredible to work with, and very communicative. Roche is incredibly special and we knew this would be a dream wedding, but it was much much more. Words can't describe how magical it was. All our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding and most delicious wedding food they have ever had. We agree! The dungeness crab mac is fantastic- my uncle started clapping when the buffet curtains opened he was so excited! And our guests were all so happy that a conga line started at 7pm in broad daylight! Having our guests all staying in the same location was incredible. It is so special to go grab a cup of coffee on the docs in the morning and run into all your loved ones and catch up/laugh about the shenanigans the night before. We could not recommend Roche Harbor more and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

s spectacular, and the planning team helps you remain as stress free as a bride can be. They help you with venders and make sure every detail is looked after. My only small negative is they turn up the lights and clear the tables during the last song of the night, at 11 on the dot. So be aware you are not getting any late party at the venue going. :) Though if you have people rent HighTide/LowTide there is a great roof top there to keep the (more quite) party going. Also tell your guest to book their rooms early because trust me, they sell out. I cannot recommend it enough, Roche Harbor is the spot to get married. It is beyond special and the team make it that way. ew years later, we decided to come back and get married there. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The team over there at Roche, from their events planning team, hotel staff, marina staff, people behind the scenes, and everyone in between were absolutely wonderful. They made sure we had the perfect day, were helpful, cheerful, on point, and always available. We'd highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting married there to give them a call and get it in the books.! I honestly don't think there's anything we'd change, and we're very thankful for everything they did for us! They have our highest recommendation, and we hope to celebrate many anniversaries for years to come up there at the resort! ning and it provides a ton of locations for amazing wedding photos. Our vision was for an elegant wedding in a gorgeous setting that eventually turns into a dance party with all our favorite people. Roche Harbor delivered on that vision! The staff was incredible! We did not have a wedding planner. We put everything together on our own and with the help of Stina and all of the Roche Harbor event staff. They answered all of our questions leading up to our wedding day and were very responsive. The day of coordination with the on site event staff was incredible!! Our day of coordinator made sure we were taken care of all day long. I honestly can't say enough how remarkable Roche Harbor is!! It was a special place to us before our wedding and now it forever will be. We will absolutely be returning for future anniversaries. I highly recommend choosing Roche Harbor for your wedding!!!!

They were super responsive, organized and kind in fielding our million-and-one questions during the planning process. The food and service are beyond five-star!! Our guests are still talking about how delicious the appetizers and dinner were (we did the four course plated dinner with a duet of prime rib and salmon- highly recommend). We also did a rehearsal dinner at Shipwreck Beach and the BBQ buffet was a hit! The bar and serving staff were super friendly both nights. They took care to check in with myself and the groom to make sure we had what we needed, which was unexpected and delightful. Another huge bonus to our weekend was Roche's golf cart fleet and staff. We had some elderly guests and a bridesmaid with a broken leg. Being able to count on the transport was a game-changer for those guests who needed help navigating the grounds and also really fun for me and my bridesmaids on the day of the ceremony! Roche is an all around top-notch venue. We had a blast and would recommend getting married there to anyone who wants to get married in the beautiful San Juan Islands.

Roche is a stunning, classically Pacific Northwest venue that we were proud to host our wedding guests at, and the team took it above and beyond with professionalism. They're the best in the biz :) *A helpful tip we learned: Roche is a small resort and a wedding room block will fill up quickly, so be aware of that and have backup options to provide your guests with so everyone can be accommodated for.

Stina, Ashley, Laura, and all the other wonderful people worked so hard with us all year to answer questions, make arrangements for things, and ensure that our day was the most relaxed and beautiful it could be. The rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner were absolutely gorgeous and the ceremony and reception were out of a movie. I, my groom, and our families and wedding party barely had to lift a finger all weekend, the RH team handles everything for you! This venue is so special and if you are able to get married here, DO IT! We wish we could relive this whole weekend over and over again!!!

We had proper communication and organizational meetings and left feeling in good hands. On the day of our rehearsal and wedding, everything went smoothly and any issues or concerns we had were directly ironed out. We cannot recommend the team here enough; the fact it looks like heaven on earth doesn't hurt either.

Outside of how we were treated and cared for, the venue is absolutely STUNNING. You could go with no decorations and it would be just as jaw dropping. The food catered was exquisite and six months later my guests still bring it up. If I could give Roche Harbor Resort 10 stars I absolutely would. They hold a special place in my heart for making such a special day come to fruition.

Our wedding was simply blissful and I would love to plan it and do it all over again - I know that Roche Harbor played a huge role in my wonderful experience and couldn’t recommend them enough. If you have any questions regarding hiring other vendors (hair, makeup, DJ, etc.) they will give you a great advice and recommendations.
