Angel did a fantastic job for our wedding. She was in communication with us throughout the entire process from when we signed our contract. She helped out throughout the actual wedding with little things that either we missed ( my bouquet) and helping to guide the entire evening flow.
The entire staff that worked the evening were very helpful, kind and respectful to our guests and us.
We had such an amazing wedding that was very unique being at a museum type of venue. Our guests still discuss what a cool venue we chose and we could not have picked a better venue for us.
Absolutely amazing experience from the venue tour, to the food tasting, to the big day. Angel and Abigale have excellent communication and flexibility. The venue itself was amazing. We allowed guests to tour the museum during the cocktail hour and the reception. The rock hall has a photo booth in the exhibits. The set up, staffing, food service, bar service and the tear down we taken care of. The photos in various locations turned out amazing.
For our food, we had steak, salmon and a veggie curry. Two salads (roasted beets, pecans and Bleu cheese YUM). Honey roasted carrots, buttery, delicious mashed potatoes and asparagus. The bar was highly customizable and the lines moved quickly. We got many compliments on the food from our guests!
We booked a local band, called follow the sun. The stage, sound system and lighting of the reception space is unmatched. Music is deeply important to us as a couple, hence the rock hall and a live band. The acoustics of the space were great. You could hear the toasts and speeches easily. The band was rocking out with great sound quality, but not blasting so loud you couldn't have a conversation.
Logistics for guests were straightforward. I would recommend ride sharing. There is parking close by, but no formal lot or garage for the Rock Hall itself. The venue is only about 20 minutes from the airport and there are many hotels around downtown ranging from cheap to higher end.
If I could re-do our big day, I would choose the Rock Hall again and again. Truly the best day of my life, in large part to this amazing venue space and out of this world staff.
Angel and her team had extreme attention to detail and made us feel at every turn that we were heard. Her expertise in the venue, but also to understand my wife's vision was incredible to see. I would recommend the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame over and over again, as it made our special day even more unique and enjoyable. All of our guests commented to us about how great the ceremony was and how beautifully different it was.
Any questions?
Our wedding was March 30th and we had really great time. The venue looked amazing, the sound was good, our layout was great, and the food looked amazing. The staff was wonderful. Angel was just like her name implies, an Angel who really helped us throughout the pictures to getting staff to help us carry our food to our table to eat. My only wish and the reason for me taking away one star is that I wish we could have had more time. I understand having to wait until the museum closes to have our ceremony but for the amount we paid to rent this venue, I wish our guest would of had more time to visit the exhibits before the ceremony so that we could of had more time during the reception to eat and dance. My husband and I felt like 5 hours wasn't enough time.
Words can't express how amazing this venue is! Every experience leading up to our day was easy and fun. Every detail was perfect. Above and beyond expectations and stress free. A special thanks to Mike and Amanda, and all the amazing staff, for making our wedding the perfect day! Jokes are being made to have a vow renewal here already! Highly recommend.
How can you ever top a wedding at the most iconic location in the city? From the moment we met Mike Detling, we knew we were in good hands. From day one through the actual day, he was helpful and very responsive to all of our questions. He even helped us select our DJ, because it was someone he'd worked closely with for other events. The day couldn't have gone better and we are ecstatic our new life started with the best day ever.
The Rock Hall was a fantastic venue. From the beginning they were incredibly easy to work with and very responsive when we had questions. With catering built into the venue it saved us a step in planning and the food was delicious. They also helped us find our band. The team was great during the weekend of making sure things ran smoothly. Our guests had such a wonderful time and keep telling us our wedding was awesome, part wedding, part private access to the Rock Hall, and part concert! We would highly recommend the Rock Hall!!
Wow! If you are looking for a unique event space that will keep your guests entertained all night, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is it. We enjoyed a beautiful private outdoor cocktail hour on the plaza before heading inside to have a delicious dinner. Our guests were even able to tour the museum after eating. The lighting, sound, and stage made our wedding feel like we were at a rock concert, and the party kept going to the last minute. Mike and Amanda made the whole event planning process so easy, I felt like I didn't have to worry about anything at all. And the staff members working the event were all so pleasant and helpful! We had so much fun, my parents even want my younger sister to have her wedding at the Rock Hall, too. This was the party of a lifetime!
Having our wedding at RRHOF was wonderful. My husband and I live in NJ where most of my family is from, and his family was closer to Chicago. So it was important we found a really impressive mid-way point. We are both fans of music from so many genres and are big appreciators of fine architecture. So RRHOF fits the bill. We had been to the museum previously, before being engaged, and thought it would be an amazing place for an event. It really is a beautiful and unique venue. Completely being on brand for the type of individuals my husband and myself are.
The venue was recently renovated right before the wedding so everything really popped. The bridge in front of the Rock Experience during cocktail hour was really impressive.
All our guests who made it to the wedding were immensely impressed with the space and were surprised and pleased that they could explore the museum openly, throughout the evening. That was a great perk to give guests an activity other than drinking, eating or dancing, if they wanted to.
The only drawbacks were that unfortunately, we did have a sales rep that worked directly with couples for weddings and events when we booked the venue, but that person had quit after booking and the venue was not able to replace the role by our wedding. So a few people had to take up the role to fill the gap. It would have been nice to have that one point of contact throughout and day of. They did coordinate directly with our outside vendors well, however, once connections were made.
The catering was good. We really had to collaborate with the rep on the menu since the pre-set menu packages were not what we were looking for. The hor d'oeuvres and cocktail hour is where the food really shined. As the bride, its difficult to comment too much on the food as I had very little time to eat but ate as much as we could! We were a bit disappointed with the entree station for roast pig. We weren't able to have that in our tasting since we were told they have to roast a whole pig but found out closer to the wedding they do cook supplemental pork so there is enough for the head count. In theory we should have been able to try it.
Overall, we still get compliments on what an immensely cool wedding we had at RRHOF and was still a wonderful day!

Laura,
Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a privilege hosting your wedding. We're so glad you and your guests enjoyed yourselves and that it was a day that was just as cool as you two are. We have filled the role of Event Coordinato...
r and are excited to have a dedicated staff member to work one on one with couples and make the planning process as fun and easy as possible. We will certainly take your other feedback to heart as we are constantly looking to improve in any way that we can. Thanks again and rock on!
What can I say but Wow!! First off... Anne, the coordinator from the Rock Hall, was absolutely perfect to work with!! The venue was gorgeous and adds an aura of style, class, and fun at the same time. The building was totally ours for the event and guests had the ability to tour the building throughout the night! Every aspect of planning and execution was top notch and smooth! We are still getting compliments about the wedding at the Rock Hall and in a sense become Rock Stars ourselves. We couldn't have done it with out Anne and the entire Rock Hall staff that had a hand in our wedding. Perfection in its truest sense!!
