ld change about our wedding day with them. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, they were completely on top of everything. Elaine was an absolute rockstar. I truly don’t know how I would’ve gotten through the day without her help before, during, and after the wedding. She is incredibly kind, calm, and just amazing at what she does. Jill was also fantastic — from the middle of the night into the next day she kept everything moving seamlessly. I never once had to refill my drink or worry about anything. She was always right there when I needed her. My bridal attendant was so helpful and kind — steaming dresses, carrying my heavy bouquet during photos, and just being exactly what you need in those moments. My guests are still raving about the bartenders, and there was one waiter (I think his name started with a J — Jake? James?) that everyone keeps talking about. He clearly made an impression! There were so many people working behind the scenes to make everything perfect. At one point during the ceremony, my dad had a diabetic episode, and their team immediately sprang into action — running to get juice and helping coordinate with family and medical professionals. Watching how quickly and calmly they handled everything was truly incredible. The food… AMAZING. Every single thing I ate was delicious. My only tiny “complaint” (and I say that lightly) is that they only wrap what’s left on your plate from cocktail hour and dinner. You get two of everything, which is plenty — but some of it was so good I wish I had more time to enjoy it! We added the espresso martini bar (so fun!), but I’d suggest placing it somewhere really visible so guests don’t miss it. The oysters and shrimp were a huge hit — we love oysters, and while mine may have sat a bit before I got to them, guests absolutely loved them. And the McDonald’s late-night snack… ICONIC 🍟🍔 Everyone was thrilled, we were eating it all night, and the photos were priceless. We also added blankets (100% worth it for a chilly November night) and uplighting — both were great decisions and really elevated the whole space.

ed and we absolutely fell in love with it. The rustic/modern vibe fit our styles perfectly and it just felt right. We saw one other place and on our way out we said, “let’s go book Rock Island.” The staff was exceptional every step of the way. Mackenzie was our coordinator and was so accommodating and kind. She and the rest of the staff made our day run without a hiccup, allowing us to enjoy every second. Our bridal/groom suite attendants were phenomenal as well, making sure we had all the food, drinks, and any other amenities we needed. The venue has so many locations that are ideal for photos, inside and out. Our photos turned out amazing! Cocktail hour was legendary! The food options were endless and so many guests came up to us raving about how good everything was. The reception space was gorgeous, waitstaff was top notch, and the bar had so many beers on tap :) Dinner was also delicious. The staff packed up all of the Christmas decorations we brought and had them organized and ready for us to pick up the next morning. If you or someone you know is getting married, we highly recommend you visit Rock Island. We promise you will be impressed the second you walk in the door. cocktail hour, and both did NOT disappoint. Our coordinator Anastasia was out on maternity leave for a few months so Stephanie had stepped in for any questions we had during the planning stages in the meantime, and there were no issues with change of coordinator at all. We booked our ceremony on location so we had the bridal suite to ourselves starting at 9am, which included breakfast (waffles, yogurt & fruit!) and lunch (sandwiches, chicken tendies & fries!!). The guys also got lunch in their groom suite. Both spaces were large enough where the makeup & hair teams had plenty of space and natural light to work, and the girls who were not in the beauty chairs could eat and relax. That morning I was an anxious mess (nothing to do with the venue or any of our vendors, just how I am as a person 🫠) but huge shoutout to Elaine who was an angel of a bridal attendant! She was on top of literally everything, it was like she knew answers to my questions before I even had to ask. My husband and I chose to do a first look and, while it was definitely a chilly fall day, it was not raining so we were able to do our private vows & portraits all outdoors. It was a slightly overcast day which meant we had perfect lighting for photos. Elaine was with me every step of the way, making sure my dress train did not drag in the grass. Our ceremony was also outdoors and went off without a hitch due to the amazing staff. Moving onto cocktail hour - the venue doesn't host tastings but a lot of our friends have been to weddings here and have mentioned how incredible the cocktail hour & dinner are, so we had no concern at all. Of course as the bride & groom we barely ate anything, but at least our guests were raving about how delicious everything was! The reception was SO much fun - it was so nice to see our vision for the decor come to life. We decided to book Wendy's late night station which included Uplighting, and this made a big difference in the dance floor atmosphere. Jill, the maître d', was also an angel and made sure we had drinks in hand at all times. The bartenders and waitstaff were incredible and made positive impressions on our guests (especially Jesse!). The dessert selection was also a huge hit, s'mores especially! At the end of the night, Jill made sure to box up our leftover dinner (we chose one of each entree), and a few of each dessert item so we could take them home with us. The staff also made sure to organize our decor so it was easy to pick up the following morning. One thing I will mention is for our favors, we had bottles of homemade Orangecello to give to our guests. We had confirmed with Anastasia that they can put them on the tables in front of each guest, however we did not realize until it was too late that the bottles were all grouped together on one table by the door for when our guests were leaving. Not a huge deal at all, just something that did not go as we had hoped. Other than that, RILC was truly an incredible venue to celebrate our wedding. We did not need to lift a finger at any point of the day and we can honestly say it was the best day of our lives.
