Roots Salon

Roots did a great job with everything! They were easy to work with and had a great set up for the day of. All of my wedding party was happy with their hair and makeup! I was a frequent customer of Roots before my wedding, and will continue to be afterwards!

We had a great experience with Roots Greendale. All of my girls + me (the bride) got our hair and make-up done there the morning of the wedding. The staff was great, they brought it bagels and mimosa's for us to have as we got ready. They listened to what we wanted and made sure we were happy before we left their chairs. They also travel if that is what you are looking for, but I thought it was easier to travel to them. The price is right and their service was wonderful!

I needed a new salon two weeks before my Wedding and was in panic mode! Emailed Roots and they set me up with an amazing crew! Got me in for a trial in a few days and accommodated my large wedding party! They served drinks/snacks and were so fun to work with. All the ladies loved their hair and makeup and looked gorgeous!

We booked Roots Salon for our wedding. They were very professional and easy to work with. We went into the salon the morning of my wedding and they had a nice area for the bridal party to hang out and do makeup (we did our own makeup and Roots did our hair). They also provided complimentary bagels, coffee, and mimosas! Which was a really special touch! They were also very accomodating. I called the week of the wedding to see if I could add a few people (an aunt and personal attendant) and they brought in an extra stylist to make sure everyone's hair got done AND we got out in time for pictures, even though that wasn't part of the original plan! They were very flexible and made sure to get everyone ready on time. A special shout-out to Jessica, who did my hair. I went in for a hair trial and we found out my hair was going to take longer than anticipated, so she re-arranged the schedule the morning of the wedding so she had an extra hour to work on my hair and it turned out AMAZING! She listened to my ideas, took her time, and I love how my hair turned out. Overall, Roots Salon was a great choice for our wedding hair styles and I highly recommend!

The day of everything went great! But everything leading up to that was a nightmare. Just booking the appointments took over a month of emails and phone calls to get everything correct because Marcella who I was dealing with would respond without reading the email that was sent. Once everything was booked I went in for my trial. As soon as I sat down my stylist Randi was complaining she had to come in early that morning for a bride with a ridiculous amount of bridesmaids. I showed her 4 photos of how I wanted my hair done including one of my hair done just like it from a wedding I was in last year. After finishing it looked terrible not even close to what I showed her and she insisted that my hair couldn't do what I was asking. Even though the sample photo I showed her was of me with my hair just like that! She was so rude I ended up in tears. Thankfully Abby saw I was upset and stepped in to make the experience better. She did a great job. Noah did my make up. She was AMAZING! The day of everyone else that worked with my girls did a great job. Just forewarn you the booking process is very flawed with the current management at this location.

Very happy with how everything turned out at Roots Salon - Brookfield! They have an amazing deal that the bride gets her hair done for free if a certain number of other bridal party gets their hair done, as well. We were also given mimosas and bagels in the morning which was fun and made it a little more special! They were organized and sent a schedule out to me months before. I had Abby as my hair stylist, and I was very happy with how it turned out! I recommend doing a hair trial to test various updos because I ended up going with something completely different based on how my hair trial turned out. Abby was very accommodating to my late hair-style change and she did a great job! My bridesmaids all loved their hair as well. Only suggestion is try to pay ahead of time because we were held up when we all tried paying before we left. I recommend them to anyone getting married in the Milwaukee area!

The customer service here is outstanding! They got me and my bridal part of 6 in at very short notice. There were bagels and mimosas for us when we got there which was fun too. Unfortunately I hated my updo it was not even close to the picture I brought (it was #pinterestnailedit bad) not to mention the curls were basically flat by the time I got to my car. Was in a hurry so didn't have her redo it but at the church my sister curled my hair and redid the updo. Total waste of $$ but A for effort? The other girls hair looked fine-- maybe my hair is just hard to work with?

I was so happy I decided to get my hair done at Roots. I was nervous because they had 2 other weddings the same morning. To my surprise everything was perfect! They got us out on time and were very organized. They also provided the bridal party with breakfast which included; mimosas, fruit, and Panera bagels. If you book 5 or more girls for hair then the bride is free, so I really appreciated that! I definitely recommend Roots Salon.

We had a fantastic experience with Roots Salon. My husband and I moved to Austin, TX about 13 months before the wedding. This made a number of wedding-related tasks a bit challenging! One of those was my hair and makeup trial - I had to have the trial a few days before the wedding since that was the only time we were back in MKE. Everyone at Roots was unbelievably helpful and patient! I had gotten my blonde hair highlighted back in Austin the week before we left for MKE so I wouldn't have to spend time on that while back home. Unfortunately, my hair didn't even look like it had been highlighted! I called the girls at Roots to see if they could maybe fit in a highlight right before my hair and makeup trial. They were super nice about fitting me in, and the highlights turned out great. I had not had much time to think through my hairstyle for the wedding, and Ashley was super patient while we figured out how I wanted my hair to look. She was super sweet and made me feel very comfortable with requesting tweaks to the hair and makeup. For the day of the wedding, three stylists came to our suite at the Hilton and did all five bridesmaids, both moms, and myself. Everyone's hair and makeup looked fantastic, and we had tons of fun. It was a muggy day, and I had full hair and makeup for over 14 hours - and it still looked great after millions of photos and tearing it up on the dancefloor for hours! I would absolutely recommend Roots - and definitely have them come to you if you can, it is well worth the negligible cost. The morning of having our hair and makeup done was so relaxing and fun!

I had a great trial but the day of experience was off. We (my three bridesmaids plus myself) originally booked at the Third Ward Roots location about 7 months before my wedding date. Over the summer the wedding coordinator for the three locations reached out to let me know that the Third Ward location was closing, but we could either go to another location (Brookfield or Greendale), go to EVO ping pong bar since they had an arrangement with the owner, or they could come to us at the hotel we were staying at for same price. Obviously, I chose to have them come to us. I had a hair and makeup trial six weeks before the wedding and really LOVED what my stylist did (she did both my hair and makeup). She listened, looked at inspiration pictures with me, had some minor suggestions, and worked hard especially on makeup to find a look I loved. I was pleased, it and I figured we were all set. However, the day of, it sort of seemed like she didn't even have the slightest idea where to begin. I realize there had been a pretty long gap between the trial and the wedding, but I was still expecting her to semi-remember what tools she used and what the overall look was that we agreed upon. I ended up showing her pictures of the hair trial and she tried to recreate we we did, but she used entirely different tools and it just wasn't the same. Not necessarily bad...just not quite as good as before. I wasn't upset as much as I was just baffled as to why she seemed to not have a clue how to begin. All in all, it worked out. My hair was very tight, and looks a little stiff in some pictures, but that's better than falling apart. I just don't quite know how we went from a great, personal experience to her barely remembering who I was and what to do with my hair and makeup. I still think Roots was a great value, but I would likely have a trial much closer to the wedding so that the stylist didn't literally forget what we did in between.

The Roots girls were great getting through the wedding party with ease while making it fun and comfortable

I had Mel and she was the greatest! She ended up moving to Tesaro Spa in Franklin. They offered to do a free trial due to her leaving but I ended up finding her to do my hair. Mel is great!

We booked two stylists from Roots to come to our hotel to do hair and make-up the day of our wedding. I am very happy with the quality and service provided by the stylists, but was disappointed that they were not able to finish hair and make-up for all of my bridesmaids. During the booking process I had asked the Wedding Coordinator several times if two stylists would be enough for the amount of time we had. She said yes, but said I could add additional stylists if I wanted. Because she seemed confident we'd get everyone done I stuck with two. Unfortunately, three of my bridesmaids did not get hair or make-up done and did it themselves. One of the stylists offered to stay late, but we needed to leave for pictures. Additionally, payment was not fully explained to me as I didn't realize I had to pay a travel fee for both stylists - seems silly to me as they both were coming from the same salon. We loved our stylists, but was frustrated with the process.

I was in a pinch after my original plans fell through. Roots was able to accommodate me (the bride), my bridesmaids, and my new mother-in-law. We all left happy and looking beautiful.

I had a failed hair trail at a different Milwaukee Salon and choose to go to Roots Salon and Spa in Greendale since it was close to home. I get my hair cut at Roots Salon and Spa in Brookfield and have never had a haircut I didn't love. My wedding hair trail at Roots it decided to completely change the direction I wanted my hair on my wedding day. Becky at Roots in Greendale took my inspiration and gave me beautiful hair that stayed looking beautiful all day long, even through our dance!

Roots Salon was the perfect choice for our day of wedding hair and make-up appointments! We used the downtown location in the Third Ward. The stylists were all wonderful and the wedding coordinator was terrific to work with! My emails were always answered promptly and the entire planning process was perfectly smooth. They provided us with bagels, coffee, and mimosas the morning of the wedding and since we had a total of at least 5 services booked, my hair styling was free!

I had my hair done here and I loved it! Michelle did a great job. My bridesmaids also had their hair done here too. I thought everyone's hair looked really nice. I have been going to Roots with Michelle as my stylist, which was really nice to have. We even got bagels and mimosas, which was a wonderful bonus!

I had a really difficult time finding a salon on labor day Sunday but roots was open and turned out great but it was quite a drive but it all worked out great but it was expensive.

I have been to Roots for my wedding and for a wedding in which I was maid of honor. Both times I was incredibly happy with the results. The women who did my hair and make up trials and then did each on the actual day did such an amazing job. Marcella, who coordinates all the wedding parties, is so helpful and is easy to get in contact with. She took care of everything. And the bagels, coffee, and mimosas are a great way to start the wedding day! :)
