What you see is what you get and I mean that in the most positive way. I was never surprised with any hidden costs or any last minute anything. Jen and the whole team at Rosedale Park and Zest Catering made everything so easy for us. But that doesn't mean they are cutting corners. The space is clean, beautiful, and set up just how we wanted. The food was absolutely delicious and the bar was well stocked.
The only note to consider is the venue is on the smaller side. We had 125-135 people at our indoor event and we didn't feel cramped at all.
Overall, I highly recommend the Rosedale Park and Zest Catering team!!

We’re happy we chose to go with the Rosedale Park Event Center for our wedding.
The venue had just about everything we needed. We had the rehearsal dinner with them. The bridal party got ready there. We had the ceremony outside in front of their gazebo, the cocktail hour and reception were inside the event center, and all of our photos were taken on site. All of the spaces were clean and pleasant to be in. There was plenty of room for nearly 100 people, including all of the tables, the dance floor, a photobooth, and the lounge space near the bar. Since we had the rehearsal dinner with them, we were able to access the space to decorate the day before. Which was really convenient.
Zest catering was excellent. Everyone raved about how good the food was. We had snacks and mimosas while getting ready, rehearsal dinner, appetizers, reception dinner, and midnight snacks. Everything was delicious. The catering staff had everything hot and ready, they bussed the plates and silverware, and packed up our leftovers at the end of the night. The bartender made great drinks. The only things that could have been better was they forgot to put out plates for the appetizers right away, and we didn’t know that they don’t do water service at the tables until a few days before the wedding. We had to rent water goblets and pitchers at the last minute.
The staff was friendly, professional, and responsive during the planning process. They asked us lots of questions to make sure we had everything we needed. They offered some in-house decor, helped us make a seating chart, and set up all the tables and chairs for us. The only issue we had is that they were short-staffed the day of the wedding, and it was hard to find someone when we needed help with the elevator and when we needed more plates.
Overall, we’re glad we had our wedding here. They made us feel welcome and it was good value for what we paid.
Our experience having our wedding at Rosedale was great! Jennifer and the rest of the staff were all super helpful and kind to ensure everything was just the way we wanted it. We were able to have our ceremony outside, although I appreciated the opportunity to have the ceremony in different locations if the weather was not cooperating. We had an outdoor cocktail hour and then moved inside for the reception. The food from the in-house Zest Catering Company was great and there was plenty of space at the venue for pictures and the whole venue was beautiful. Plus, there was no need to bring in outside decorations because Rosedale has decorations you can use at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this venue!

I can't say enough good things about Rosedale. Firstly, the venue is stunningly beautiful. It really needs no "dressing-up". Secondly, Jen is so nice and so helpful. Not only did she answer all my silly questions but did so promptly and with a smile. Working with this venue was such a breeze it felt odd not to have to worry about so many things. We chose to go with the all inclusive package which meant we had access to the whole venue from getting ready to our outdoor photos, ceremony in the beautiful gazebo, and the reception hall. Lastly, the catering is fantastic. We attended multiple tastings and loved everything they served. We ultimately went with the classic menu simply because it fit into our budget the best. If we had more room in the budget, we would have gone with a custom menu because we tasted so many delicious offerings that were not on a set menu. I would highly recommend this venue and catering company.

They were incredibly easy to work with and made our wedding and reception wonderful. They allowed us to get in and decorate the day before and the rehearsal dinner was fabulous. The day of the wedding they were gracious with everything they provided while we got ready, and offered a great set of spaces for prep and relaxation between the ceremony and reception. There are some beautiful places on-site for photos. The reception itself was magical and many of our guests complimented us on the food. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Rosedale Park Event Center was the perfect place to host our wedding. We wanted a venue that could host both our ceremony and reception and had indoor and outdoor options for a ceremony space. I originally wanted an outdoor ceremony, but the weather on our wedding day said otherwise but the indoor space was still beautiful for our ceremony. Additionally, Jennifer was wonderful to work with and helped with all of the planning details including menu selection and table arrangements. We also loved that they have an on-site caterer. Best of all, I truly felt like I got my money’s worth from this venue. I highly recommend them to other Iowa couples!

My husband and I got married in Hawaii and chose to have a reception back in Cedar Rapids. We chose TOC because of its beautiful outdoor space. We later learned the building is historic and was once a school house in a now nonexistent town called Rosedale where Grant Wood once taught.
Our evening was beautiful and one we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We had so many compliments from our guests about their prime rib. The staff and event coordinators were personable and flexible and provided me with calm when I was stressed.
So nice and friendly, answer every question I had, work around what works best for us, was able to have a wedding of my dreams! Big faculty with a huge green and the food was amazing! Just overall impressed and happy

We used A Touch of Class for catering at our wedding. They were very accommodating for us, especially during the craziness of 2020. Our guests kept commenting to us throughout the night how great the food was and they also packed leftover food for us to take home which was very helpful. I would recommend this as a caterer to anyone in the Cedar Rapids area.

The venue was absolutely perfect. We got married married in the gazebo and it was beautiful.
Jennifer and the Touch of Class staff are all so wonderful to work with. They did everything to ensure our special went smoothly.
The reception dinner was absolutely delicious. We had a customized menu with Chicken Oscar and they made it perfect. My favorite dish for so long.
We got many compliments from guest about how beautiful the venue was and how they loved the food.
I’m so glad we had our wedding here. We wouldn’t have changed a thing. Everything was wonderful.

Jennifer is great to work with. With COVID-19 going on, we were afraid that places might be close further and we won’t have time to get anything done, so we made the decision to postpone our wedding! And Jennifer worked with us to get our new date schedule, made things easier for us during this stressful time. Her facility is beautiful, and I can’t wait to have our wedding there next may !

Jen at A Touch of Class was so great to work with! Coming in as a vendor for the first time, she made working in the space easy! Not only were things a breeze with Jen and her efficient staff, but the venue was beautiful! The lower level of the venue is amazing and so spacious for the wedding party. Upstairs for the reception was even better! It certainly was an amazing day, we couldn't have asked for more!
Jen and her staff were super easy to work with! We planned our wedding from out of state and she always got back to us in a timely manner. The venue was stunning and everyone complimented the amazing food! I

Touch of Class was an amazing catering company. We were extremely happy with the food at our wedding. The following days we were told the food was some of the best our guests had ever had at a wedding. Jennifer was extremely helpful throughout the process, especially considering we were planning from California. We were only able to connect a few times in person prior to the wedding and it all worked out perfectly.

Wonderful venue. We had SO MANY compliments on the food, saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had! Jennifer and staff were great to work with, always accommodating, and great response times on emails. Highly recommend.

I had my bridal shower at A Touch of Class and it was absolutely perfect! The food was delicious and the bartender made the best bloody mary I've ever tasted! The owner, Jen, was so accommodating and helped me with anything and everything we needed. I cannot recommend this beautiful location enough!
The food and service was flawless for our special day! They catered our event and everyone enjoyed the food immensely! Ruth was a joy to work with and addressed all our questions related to our guest count and holiday celebration. Our food was very delicious and worked well within our budget!
We LOVED working with Ruth to make our day everything we wanted it to be. It was also wonderful because they just finished refacing the outside so it truly matches the beautiful reception hall you'll find inside.
We knew we wanted a combined ceremony/reception venue and the gazebo was perfect for our outdoor ceremony and it was an easy trip into the building for the reception.
Ruth and team did a wonderful job of making our wedding day as easy and special as possible!
They took the guesswork and actual work out of the day so we could show up and enjoy! Always available when we needed them, great food, beautiful event space, friendly team of employees including servers and bartenders-we couldn't be happier with how our day went!
A Touch of Class is a great venue in Cedar Rapids. I have been to several events here and it does not disappoint. The owner puts a lot of effort into the decor and keeping customers happy! Their food is excellent. I highly recommend!
Overall the food turned out okay but I found working with the company to be a little difficult and frustrating at times. They were difficult to get in touch with. You can't beat the cost though.

Overall, I thought the location was great. I really liked that the price was based on how many people we were having. They did a great job setting up the hall and being available to have my other vendors come in. I liked being able to try the food before hand to help make my menu selection. The coordinator was really helpful to keep things running smoothly, I was sick during the reception and she did a great job of making sure I had everything I needed. The only problem I had was the bartender had friends come after the Iowa game to drink. I thought that was extremely rude. They did leave after they were asked too.
It was nice being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. Even though the weather did not cooperate with our original plans, the wonderful staff helped us make it work and I have no regrets. The food was great and plentiful. Many compliments from our guest.
We had an outdoor wedding ceremony at the Gazebo area and the wedding reception at their banquet hall. It was convenience. The staffs are really nice helpful. We couldn't be happier.
