Royal American Links

Royal American Links is a beautiful venue! The staff are amazing. Working with Lisa was a dream. She was responsive to our many questions and worked with us to help make our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. The food was also delicious. I could not be more happy with having used Royal American Links for my wedding.

I had my wedding here a month ago and I’m still blown away by how perfect it was! Lisa was amazing and extremely helpful and the food was great! I couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place to get married!

Top notch place! Plenty of parking. Easy drop off at the front door for the elderly, kids & special needs. Our family has hosted a Christmas gathering for the past 3 years of 75 to 100. American Royal staff has gone out of their way to make it a warm & fuzzy event. Decor was provided, food was excellent & the cost per head was as good as any. We had several kids and the staff engaged as needed for our every want. Thank You American Royal!

My daughter's wedding at the Royal American Links was absolutely magical and perfect in every way thanks to the beautiful venue, attentive staff, delicious food, and amazing coordinator! All of the guests said this was one of the best weddings they've ever attended! Thank you RAL for making our dream wedding come true!

Our server, the younger lady, was outstanding. However, we had significant issues with Lisa, the Event Coordinator, and another staff member with short curly hair, which impacted our overall experience with the venue. From the outset, there were miscommunications, including Lisa initially confirming our date was available, then later stating it was already booked, admitting she should have checked her calendar more thoroughly. Upon our arrival, cocktail hour was being set up in the main hall, despite prior discussions confirming we would use the downstairs area. The wedding day itself was disorganized, as Lisa appeared to lack a clear understanding of the schedule and arrangements. We were disappointed by the lack of coordination, particularly given the significant investment we made in the venue. Lisa's approach was unprofessional; she displayed a confrontational attitude, and on multiple occasions, she raised her voice at our day-of coordinator in front of guests. We were also promised a golf cart for photos, which was not provided, forcing us to walk in the rain to take pictures. We had to request contract revisions several times due to numerous inaccuracies, which further added to our frustration. Given the number of issues and the level of disorganization, we cannot recommend the venue to others. If someone chooses to book here, we would advise them to be prepared for potential challenges and to be aware of the unprofessional manner in which our event was handled. We strongly suggest a reevaluation of Lisa’s role, as her attitude and lack of event planning knowledge had a significant negative impact on our experience.

We had very good communication and attention to details for our club banquet. The food and service was excellent!

Our experience with Royal American Linksbwas amazing. I really couldn’t have asked for anything better. Very responsive. Very affordable and they worked with our needs well. The only downside was that I had to pay extra to have a couple more hours of decorating time, but other than that it was great!

“Spoiler”: We didn’t use this as a wedding venue, but we decided to use this venue as our’s for a Junior / Senior Banquet (like a high school prom basically!). Not only is this building beautiful, but the staff is all so welcoming and friendly. And, I can’t forget, Lisa! She was such a blessing! She answered all my questions in a timely fashion, and gave me some insightful ideas on things we could change around and do differently (when we had to change a number of things the day before our event!). She was personable, but professional in everything she did! This event would have gone much differently if it wasn’t for Lisa! The food (we did the Italian Feast) was delicious, and that was all thanks to the kitchen staff! Very open concept with lots of room, and pictures don’t do it justice… it is beautiful! This venue is fairly affordable, and I would, without a doubt, definitely recommend it to anyone reading this / looking for a venue for your event and/or wedding.

I don’t even know where to begin. Royal American Links was one the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. Lisa , the coordinator there is AMAZING! She will answer all your questions quickly and will never get annoyed with how many questions you may have! The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, and the building is BEAUTIFUL! I would 100% recommend anyone to book their wedding here!

As a wedding coordinator, I was blown away by the service provided by the entire staff at Royal American Links for my client's wedding this past weekend. Lisa Johnson was so prompt with all her email replies and suggestions. She was so friendly, I felt like I'd known her forever! She was very accommodating even in helping a guest with a food allergy by preparing a lovely plate of safe food to eat on the spur of the moment. Lisa the banquet captain and her staff went above and beyond every chance they got. This tired coordinator was so appreciative of the helpful set up team reaching high on the mantel to help take down decor. It probably seemed like nothing to them but made a huge impression on me. I will highly recommend any future clients consider having their events at Royal American Links!

We held our son’s rehearsal and dinner here. Awesome location- beautiful facility! Shannon Riffe helped plan and Lisa Johnson coordinated the day of. Couldn’t ask for better service all around-helpful, accommodating, professional-did anything and everything to make the evening perfect! We were originally scheduled at The New Albany Links-a/c malfunction moved us to Royal American. Had the outside balcony to spread out, and they served our Italian Dinner (Delicious!!!) buffet due to covid concerns. Have used Royal American for banquets before-and will again!!!

We worked with Lisa Johnson to plan our daughters June 2021 wedding and she kept us calm through everything from COVID regulations to the weather for the outdoor ceremony! The wedding was perfect, reception was beautiful, food was delicious, and staff was on top of every detail. I would highly recommend this for any indoor or outdoor ceremony and or reception. Thanks for making my baby girls big day so special!

As a wedding vendor I've worked with Lisa Johnson for many years and always found her knowledgeable, accommodating to any requests, and focused on providing an excellent experience for her clients. My staff looks forward to doing an event at Royal American Links because they know their staff works so well with ours, we never run behind schedule, which leads to a successful night for both of us!

We had our daughter's bridal shower at Royal American Links on March 27, 2021. All our guests were so pleased and raved about the food and the atmosphere. Lisa Johnson was a gem to work with during the planning of the event and was also available for any help or questions the day of. The staff was friendly and on top of everything! We are so pleased we went with this venue and I highly recommend it for a bridal shower. Thank you again for making Kristin's special day so special.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner at Royal American Links in November of 2020. The staff there were amazing and helped make sure everything turned out beautifully. Lisa was very organized every step of the way during planning. She was very knowledgeable about several wedding vendors in the area and was able to give recommendations on DJs, florists, cake bakers, and several other wedding essentials making the planning process a lot less stressful. The staff was also very accommodating for our guests with food sensitivities/allergies. They went above and beyond and were able to create a plate separate from the rest of the buffet to help ensure that it did not contain the allergen. One of our guests exclaimed that this was the first time he felt comfortable eating the meal at a wedding. I would definitely recommend Royal American Links for any event!

Royal American Links was the perfect venue for our indoor Christmas wedding. Everything looked beautiful and Lisa and her staff did an amazing job helping us leading up to, and during, the big day. I couldn't have asked for a better place to say I do!! The golf course was a beautiful backdrop and the inside was lit up and so adorable. Thank you so much Lisa and Royal American!

We love this venue! Lisa Johnson went out of her way to make it a wonderful experience. The reception room overlooks the golf course with floor to ceiling windows, making it a beautiful room. The food was incredible, and they were more than willing to accommodate my gluten-free needs. I would highly recommend Royal American Links!!

Unfortunately due to Covid we had to cancel our wedding. When we met Lisa and the staff at Royal American everyone was so nice and it was a great atmosphere to be in. Wish we could've continued our wedding planning there! We definitely recommend!

We had our wedding and reception at Royal American golf club. The staff was fantastic to work with at Lisa made it so easy to plan the reception. We went to a tasting ahead of time which was great,. They did a fabulous job with all of the food and bar.I would highly recommend this venue and loved working with Lisa!

My husband and I found the Royal American Links to be the perfect place for our wedding reception. Lisa was amazing and took very good care of us. She thought of every detail and was there for us throughout the whole process. The food was amazing and the decorations were just what we wanted. If you are planning a reception or any other kind of event you should book here!

We just got married at Royal American Links in October! And everything was perfect and beautiful! First off, we chose to be married and have our reception here because of Lisa. Lisa showed so much excitement and care about our wedding, we knew that we were in the best hands! The entire location is beautiful,and the food, created by their own chef, was so delicious! And every person of the staff was so kind and helpful. Every guest of our wedding also was amazed about the place, food, and staff! I could go on and on about how great it was! If you can, I recommend booking in mid-October where you can get married next to the most beautiful fall colored tree! My daughter and son-in-law had a beautiful wedding reception at Royal American Links! Working with Lisa was like working with a good friend. She had very good ideas, explained everything we needed to know and answered questions in a timely manner. We found her to go above and beyond the call of duty to take care of a couple of issues that came up during the planning stage. We were grateful for all her help and understanding.

I had my wedding reception at RAL 2 weeks ago and have received a compliment every single day since on the venue, food, location & service! Lisa was so sweet & helpful from the first day we toured, through the entire night of the reception. She was incredibly speedy, getting back to every question I sent her way in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The food was phenomenal and the service matched. This is location is a gem, after MONTHS of searching for the perfect fit - I’m so glad we found this venue. Not to mention the affordability, which gave my husband and I the ability to splurge on other dream aspects of our wedding day. I highly recommend this venue for you apraxia day!

My daughter and her fiance had their wedding ceremony outside and had the reception inside. It was wonderful! Everything was easy as their wedding planner, Lisa, helped pull everything together. The reception area had a balcony and it was great to go between outside and inside. Food was great! I cannot say enough about how good the food was both for our reception dinner the night before and for the reception. Service was great too. Really liked having pretty much everything provided by the venue! Highly recommend it!

We had our wedding reception on 9/1/19 and everything went perfectly! We would absolutely recommend RAL! Lisa was extremely prompt in answering questions throughout the process and flexible to meet our wishes within our budget. We were able to get married outside and the food was delicious (tuscan chicken, roast beef, loaded mashed potatoes & italian vegetable mix). Thank you for making our special day so memorable!

If I could leave Royal American Links 50 stars out of 5, I would. Lisa Johnson was the best person to work with during the past year of wedding planning. Our day was absolutely perfect. Lisa worked with me and all my annoying emails at midnight telling her that I forgot yet another small detail. She took care of it all. The food was absolutely delicious. We got a ton of compliments about the venue and the food! We even had our rehearsal dinner here in addition to the wedding. Out of the 100 wedding venues I contacted and countless other vendors, Lisa at RAL was the most attentive and helpful. Not to mention, the pricing of the venue is great for what you receive! Similar venues charge a lot more for the same package. My husband and I had our perfect day because of the wonderful staff at Royal American Links.

I can't say enough good things about this venue! From the magical, fairy-tale castle vibe to the excellent food, everything was perfect. One of my favorite things about this venue is that very little decorating was needed because the structural aspects (the beams, stone fireplace, etc.) made it unnecessary. The true highlight of Royal American, however, is the events coordinator Lisa Johnson. She was incredible; always got back to me the same day when I would email her, and she made sure my wedding ran smoothly. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stress-free, magical day!

The venue was beautiful and the RAL staff was exceptional for our son's rehearsal dinner and reception. The food was delicious and beautifully presented for both of our events. I am very happy we chose this vender for our wedding. It was very buget friendly plus customer specific. We got everything we wanted and more. Lisa who coordinated the event was very professional and caring. You can tell she enjoyed doing her job and not just for the money. She did everything and anything to make our day speacial. Would definitely recommend this place.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous and Lisa helped us (and put up with us) when it can to setting everything up exactly as we wanted. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better or more beautiful place to have our wedding, everything was thought out from the delicious food - to making sure we had a drink and our own appetizers saved for us when we returned for pictures. I would recomend this venue if gorgeous views, delicious views and an old world feel are what you want for your big day.

My wife and I had our reception at Royal American Links, and it was everything we hoped and dreamed! Lisa was so easy to work with and very accommodating. She gave us plenty of helpful insights and worked with us as we were planning the wedding from 1000 miles away. Our guests enjoyed every minute of the event, from the decor, landscape, wait staff, and amazingly delicious food (and we’re a big Italian family, so we know food). The only issue we had was that the air conditioning was not very powerful, so on a hot summer day our guests were all hot and sweaty. We all still had a great time, just looked like we had all just finished working out before taking photos!

My husband and I had our Wedding and Reception at Royal American Links and it was absolutely fabulous. The Venue was absolutely stunning, the food was delicious and the staff was the best. The venue is beautiful inside and out. We were planning on getting married outside, but due to the rain we made a quick change to have the ceremony inside. It was still stunning and the staff was very flexible to accommodate anything we needed. Lisa is absolutely wonderful! She is incredibly organized and helps you throughout the whole process and is excited to cerebrate with you. She is very responsive with her email and has an answer to any question you'll ever have. The food was also fantastic. Not your average wedding food. Our guests were raving about it. Could not recommend this place enough!

My husband and I had our reception at Royal American Links. We were SO incredibly pleased with the people who served us, the coordinator, and the pricing. We worked with Lisa. She was extremely accommodating, helpful, and sweet. As an anxious, Type A bride, she helped me feel so comfortable with every small detail of my wedding day. She was incredibly responsive to any questions I had while planning the wedding day and was just able to take care of everything for me without the drama. I was able to set up for the reception 2 days before the wedding, which was such a stress-relief to me. When I walked in to the reception on my wedding, it was my dream come true, but even better. The place looked stunning and Lisa and her team went above and beyond for my husband and I and our guests. Our guests are still raving about it after 2 weeks of our special day! We are so thankful and appreciative of Lisa and the staff at Royal American Links :) For anyone looking for a beautiful gem of a venue, great price, amazing staff, and a stress-free wedding/reception day please choose Royal American!

I've been to several weddings at Royal American in the last few years, and couldn't wait for my daughter to see it. She fell in love as soon as we walked in. It was exactly what she imagined- quaint and charming; like a little castle. Lisa was so easy to work with, even when we would just "pop" in. All the details that we worried about for a year fell into place, and everything was wonderful. Lisa even helped us with some decorations that we would never have thought of. There is no doubt that she cares about each and every bride. It was unseasonably cold for the end of April, so the beautiful stone fireplace was lit. The food was so good, and the menu varied. We had a visit from the chef during the wedding to make sure everything was to our liking. The golf course is so pretty that there was no need to take pictures anywhere else.

I wish I could give Royal American more than 5 stars. I had my wedding ceremony & Reception there in July and people are still talking about how beautiful this venue was. Lisa (the planner) is a JOY to work with, and she was so responsive to any and every question I asked her. I truly enjoyed planning my dream wedding out with her. The venue is so beautiful without even bringing your own decor. Our reception was plenty spacious and truly gorgeous. They give a free round of golf to the men while the women get ready!! I highly recommend this place, you wont regret it I promise!

I seriously couldn't have asked for a better team to work with. Lisa was amazing! She literally went above and beyond expectations. I planned for an outdoor ceremony but it snowed and rained, Lisa made sure that our indoor ceremony space was everything I wanted and she delivered. My guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and they couldn't believe how delicious the food was. This facility is absolutely gorgeous, with it's rustic vibe and beautiful view all of my guest were amazed. When my fiancee and i were looking and halls we knew this was the one we wanted for our Cinderella themed wedding. The wedding coordinator was so helpful, i have a very overbearing family that asks a million questions but she could handle everything above and beyond!

It was so easy to pick this place. It has so much character and is so beautiful and Lisa is an absolute treasure. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!
