Royal American Links

I never got to write my review but what an amazing wedding we had there in 2021. Such a beautiful historic looking environment. Cozy. That’s what we wanted. They were so lenient on going off of my design for our special day and worked with us on hours and even coming early and letting me help with the setup. They put up with me in other words. lol. The food was fantastic. The people were on point. I recommend this venue. Very affordable.

We had very good communication and attention to details for our club banquet. The food and service was excellent!

Our experience with Royal American Linksbwas amazing. I really couldn’t have asked for anything better. Very responsive. Very affordable and they worked with our needs well. The only downside was that I had to pay extra to have a couple more hours of decorating time, but other than that it was great!

“Spoiler”: We didn’t use this as a wedding venue, but we decided to use this venue as our’s for a Junior / Senior Banquet (like a high school prom basically!). Not only is this building beautiful, but the staff is all so welcoming and friendly. And, I can’t forget, Lisa! She was such a blessing! She answered all my questions in a timely fashion, and gave me some insightful ideas on things we could change around and do differently (when we had to change a number of things the day before our event!). She was personable, but professional in everything she did! This event would have gone much differently if it wasn’t for Lisa! The food (we did the Italian Feast) was delicious, and that was all thanks to the kitchen staff! Very open concept with lots of room, and pictures don’t do it justice… it is beautiful! This venue is fairly affordable, and I would, without a doubt, definitely recommend it to anyone reading this / looking for a venue for your event and/or wedding.

I don’t even know where to begin. Royal American Links was one the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. Lisa , the coordinator there is AMAZING! She will answer all your questions quickly and will never get annoyed with how many questions you may have! The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing, and the building is BEAUTIFUL! I would 100% recommend anyone to book their wedding here!

As a wedding coordinator, I was blown away by the service provided by the entire staff at Royal American Links for my client's wedding this past weekend. Lisa Johnson was so prompt with all her email replies and suggestions. She was so friendly, I felt like I'd known her forever! She was very accommodating even in helping a guest with a food allergy by preparing a lovely plate of safe food to eat on the spur of the moment. Lisa the banquet captain and her staff went above and beyond every chance they got. This tired coordinator was so appreciative of the helpful set up team reaching high on the mantel to help take down decor. It probably seemed like nothing to them but made a huge impression on me. I will highly recommend any future clients consider having their events at Royal American Links!

We held our son’s rehearsal and dinner here. Awesome location- beautiful facility! Shannon Riffe helped plan and Lisa Johnson coordinated the day of. Couldn’t ask for better service all around-helpful, accommodating, professional-did anything and everything to make the evening perfect! We were originally scheduled at The New Albany Links-a/c malfunction moved us to Royal American. Had the outside balcony to spread out, and they served our Italian Dinner (Delicious!!!) buffet due to covid concerns. Have used Royal American for banquets before-and will again!!!

We worked with Lisa Johnson to plan our daughters June 2021 wedding and she kept us calm through everything from COVID regulations to the weather for the outdoor ceremony! The wedding was perfect, reception was beautiful, food was delicious, and staff was on top of every detail. I would highly recommend this for any indoor or outdoor ceremony and or reception. We had our daughter's bridal shower at Royal American Links on March 27, 2021. All our guests were so pleased and raved about the food and the atmosphere. Lisa Johnson was a gem to work with during the planning of the event and was also available for any help or questions the day of. The staff was friendly and on top of everything! We are so pleased we went with this venue and I highly recommend it for a bridal shower. Thank you again for making Kristin's special day so special.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner at Royal American Links in November of 2020. The staff there were amazing and helped make sure everything turned out beautifully. Lisa was very organized every step of the way during planning. She was very knowledgeable about several wedding vendors in the area and was able to give recommendations on DJs, florists, cake bakers, and several other wedding essentials making the planning process a lot less stressful. The staff was also very accommodating for our guests with food sensitivities/allergies. They went above and beyond and were able to create a plate separate from the rest of the buffet to help ensure that it did not contain the allergen. One of our guests exclaimed that this was the first time he felt comfortable eating the meal at a wedding. I would definitely recommend Royal American Links for any event!

Royal American Links was the perfect venue for our indoor Christmas wedding. Everything looked beautiful and Lisa and her staff did an amazing job helping us leading up to, and during, the big day. I couldn't have asked for a better place to say I do!! The golf course was a beautiful backdrop and the inside was lit up and so adorable. Thank you so much Lisa and Royal American!

We love this venue! Lisa Johnson went out of her way to make it a wonderful experience. The reception room overlooks the golf course with floor to ceiling windows, making it a beautiful room. The food was incredible, and they were more than willing to accommodate my gluten-free needs. I would highly recommend Royal American Links!!

Unfortunately due to Covid we had to cancel our wedding. When we met Lisa and the staff at Royal American everyone was so nice and it was a great atmosphere to be in. Wish we could've continued our wedding planning there! We definitely recommend!

We had our wedding and reception at Royal American golf club. The staff was fantastic to work with at Lisa made it so easy to plan the reception. We went to a tasting ahead of time which was great,. They did a fabulous job with all of the food and bar.I would highly recommend this venue and loved working with Lisa!

My husband and I found the Royal American Links to be the perfect place for our wedding reception. Lisa was amazing and took very good care of us. She thought of every detail and was there for us throughout the whole process. The food was amazing and the decorations were just what we wanted. We just got married at Royal American Links in October! And everything was perfect and beautiful! First off, we chose to be married and have our reception here because of Lisa. Lisa showed so much excitement and care about our wedding, we knew that we were in the best hands! The entire location is beautiful,and the food, created by their own chef, was so delicious! And every person of the staff was so kind and helpful. Every guest of our wedding also was amazed about the place, food, and staff! I could go on and on about how great it was! If you can, I recommend booking in mid-October where you can get married next to the most beautiful fall colored tree! My daughter and son-in-law had a beautiful wedding reception at Royal American Links! Working with Lisa was like working with a good friend. She had very good ideas, explained everything we needed to know and answered questions in a timely manner. We found her to go above and beyond the call of duty to take care of a couple of issues that came up during the planning stage. We were grateful for all her help and understanding.

I had my wedding reception at RAL 2 weeks ago and have received a compliment every single day since on the venue, food, location & service! Lisa was so sweet & helpful from the first day we toured, through the entire night of the reception. She was incredibly speedy, getting back to every question I sent her way in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The food was phenomenal and the service matched. This is location is a gem, after MONTHS of searching for the perfect fit - I’m so glad we found this venue. Not to mention the affordability, which gave my husband and I the ability to splurge on other dream aspects of our wedding day. I highly recommend this venue for you apraxia day!

My daughter and her fiance had their wedding ceremony outside and had the reception inside. It was wonderful! Everything was easy as their wedding planner, Lisa, helped pull everything together. The reception area had a balcony and it was great to go between outside and inside. Food was great! I cannot say enough about how good the food was both for our reception dinner the night before and for the reception. Service was great too. Really liked having pretty much everything provided by the venue! Highly recommend it!

We had our wedding reception on 9/1/19 and everything went perfectly! We would absolutely recommend RAL! Lisa was extremely prompt in answering questions throughout the process and flexible to meet our wishes within our budget. We were able to get married outside and the food was delicious (tuscan chicken, roast beef, loaded mashed potatoes & italian vegetable mix). Thank you for making our special day so memorable!

If I could leave Royal American Links 50 stars out of 5, I would. Lisa Johnson was the best person to work with during the past year of wedding planning. Our day was absolutely perfect. Lisa worked with me and all my annoying emails at midnight telling her that I forgot yet another small detail. She took care of it all. The food was absolutely delicious. We got a ton of compliments about the venue and the food! We even had our rehearsal dinner here in addition to the wedding. Out of the 100 wedding venues I contacted and countless other vendors, Lisa at RAL was the most attentive and helpful. Not to mention, the pricing of the venue is great for what you receive! Similar venues charge a lot more for the same package. My husband and I had our perfect day because of the wonderful staff at Royal American Links.

I can't say enough good things about this venue! From the magical, fairy-tale castle vibe to the excellent food, everything was perfect. One of my favorite things about this venue is that very little decorating was needed because the structural aspects (the beams, stone fireplace, etc.) made it unnecessary. The true highlight of Royal American, however, is the events coordinator Lisa Johnson. She was incredible; always got back to me the same day when I would email her, and she made sure my wedding ran smoothly. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stress-free, magical day!

The venue was beautiful and the RAL staff was exceptional for our son's rehearsal dinner and reception. The food was delicious and beautifully presented for both of our events. I am very happy we chose this vender for our wedding. It was very buget friendly plus customer specific. We got everything we wanted and more. Lisa who coordinated the event was very professional and caring. You can tell she enjoyed doing her job and not just for the money. She did everything and anything to make our day speacial. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and Lisa helped us (and put up with us) when it can to setting everything up exactly as we wanted. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better or more beautiful place to have our wedding, everything was thought out from the delicious food - to making sure we had a drink and our own appetizers saved for us when we returned for pictures. I would recomend this venue if gorgeous views, delicious views and an old world feel are what you want for your big day.

My wife and I had our reception at Royal American Links, and it was everything we hoped and dreamed! Lisa was so easy to work with and very accommodating. She gave us plenty of helpful insights and worked with us as we were planning the wedding from 1000 miles away. Our guests enjoyed every minute of the event, from the decor, landscape, wait staff, and amazingly delicious food (and we’re a big Italian family, so we know food). The only issue we had was that the air conditioning was not very powerful, so on a hot summer day our guests were all hot and sweaty. We all still had a great time, just looked like we had all just finished working out before taking photos!

My husband and I had our Wedding and Reception at Royal American Links and it was absolutely fabulous. The Venue was absolutely stunning, the food was delicious and the staff was the best. The venue is beautiful inside and out. We were planning on getting married outside, but due to the rain we made a quick change to have the ceremony inside. It was still stunning and the staff was very flexible to accommodate anything we needed. Lisa is absolutely wonderful! She is incredibly organized and helps you throughout the whole process and is excited to cerebrate with you. She is very responsive with her email and has an answer to any question you'll ever have. The food was also fantastic. Not your average wedding food. Our guests were raving about it. Could not recommend this place enough!

My husband and I had our reception at Royal American Links. We were SO incredibly pleased with the people who served us, the coordinator, and the pricing. We worked with Lisa. She was extremely accommodating, helpful, and sweet. As an anxious, Type A bride, she helped me feel so comfortable with every small detail of my wedding day. She was incredibly responsive to any questions I had while planning the wedding day and was just able to take care of everything for me without the drama. I was able to set up for the reception 2 days before the wedding, which was such a stress-relief to me. When I walked in to the reception on my wedding, it was my dream come true, but even better. The place looked stunning and Lisa and her team went above and beyond for my husband and I and our guests. Our guests are still raving about it after 2 weeks of our special day! We are so thankful and appreciative of Lisa and the staff at Royal American Links :) For anyone looking for a beautiful gem of a venue, great price, amazing staff, and a stress-free wedding/reception day please choose Royal American!

I've been to several weddings at Royal American in the last few years, and couldn't wait for my daughter to see it. She fell in love as soon as we walked in. It was exactly what she imagined- quaint and charming; like a little castle. Lisa was so easy to work with, even when we would just "pop" in. All the details that we worried about for a year fell into place, and everything was wonderful. Lisa even helped us with some decorations that we would never have thought of. There is no doubt that she cares about each and every bride. It was unseasonably cold for the end of April, so the beautiful stone fireplace was lit. The food was so good, and the menu varied. We had a visit from the chef during the wedding to make sure everything was to our liking. The golf course is so pretty that there was no need to take pictures anywhere else.

I wish I could give Royal American more than 5 stars. I had my wedding ceremony & Reception there in July and people are still talking about how beautiful this venue was. Lisa (the planner) is a JOY to work with, and she was so responsive to any and every question I asked her. I truly enjoyed planning my dream wedding out with her. The venue is so beautiful without even bringing your own decor. Our reception was plenty spacious and truly gorgeous. They give a free round of golf to the men while the women get ready!! I highly recommend this place, you wont regret it I promise!

I seriously couldn't have asked for a better team to work with. Lisa was amazing! She literally went above and beyond expectations. I planned for an outdoor ceremony but it snowed and rained, Lisa made sure that our indoor ceremony space was everything I wanted and she delivered. My guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and they couldn't believe how delicious the food was. This facility is absolutely gorgeous, with it's rustic vibe and beautiful view all of my guest were amazed. When my fiancee and i were looking and halls we knew this was the one we wanted for our Cinderella themed wedding. The wedding coordinator was so helpful, i have a very overbearing family that asks a million questions but she could handle everything above and beyond!

Lisa was phenomenal to work with. She was incredibly helpful by phone, email or in person and quite timely and responsive. I could not have gone through this process without her...She made this process so much easier to go through. This venue can pull off a variety of looks and they are flexible. The venue was clean and accommodating; the golf course provides some great photo opportunities. The staff were professional and easy to work with. The food was amazing, service was excellent, and I am so glad that we went with them. Worth every penny!!! ♡

This place was gorgeous! We had the best experience. Even with the rain, there were many options to take stunning pictures. The food was amazing. There were many options and they let you customize as much as you need for picky eaters, like me! I love that we got a “signature” drink for the night and the bar never had a lineLisa is amazing to work with. She knows the place well and has great recommendations if you’re unsure about anything! She lets you meet as much as you need and email a ton of questions! She was very helpful in the process and made things so much easier. You can decorate as much or as little as you want. It was a great experience!

My husband, mother, mother-in-law and I are SO PLEASED with the service we received from Royal American Links. Lisa took exceptional care of us. She was laid-back yet attentive, tactful, and a true delight to work with. As a bride, I was a little overwhelmed with all of the options and was so grateful for Lisa's insight, suggestions, and support. She coordinated a few last minute requests for us, for which I am eternally grateful. Their team helped us set up and take down the event and were so respectful and fun to work with. The venue was LOVELY the day of and the food was incredible. We had an issue with the event starting late due to construction traffic, yet Royal American Links totally pulled off the delay and the food was fresh regardless! I really couldn't have asked for a better venue experience!! I sincerely, whole-heartedly recommend working with Royal American Links to ANYONE!

Lisa was extremely helpful to work with everything leading up to the wedding as well as day of. She was always willing to answer questions and help in any way. Our wedding turned out beautifully and my husband and I can’t thank her enough. My only complaint is that the top tier of my wedding cake that I had asked to be saved for our anniversary had been cut and served without our consent which was a real downer. Otherwise we had a great experience and would do it all again.

I owe it all to this magical place ..... This place made my dream wedding came true, after looking all over Columbus for the perfect and affordable venue, I found this place where everything I wanted was there. First I'll start with the manager Lisa Johnson, she an awesome lady who makes dreams come true, she helped us with everything from the first step till the end. She provided everything I needed and even on short notice, she is very flexible and she texted me pictures of things provided ( ex: table linen, centerpieces ..etc). Second, the catering was provided which made things much easier for us. THE FOOD WAS INDESCRIBABLE! everyone asked us later about the caterer and we told them it was Royal American Links themselves, they have this fantastic Chef who cooks anything desired. Third, the service of this venue is professional and everybody who works there helped making our wedding easy comfortable and elegant. They provided cake cutting, food and beverage serving so the guests were seated comfortably and served professionally. Fourth, the prices were very reasonable and especially for couples with a limited budgets. Last but not least, the ballroom looks amazing like a Disney fairytale Ballroom, the view from the balcony to the outside is breath taking and the golf courses helped creating beautiful natural wedding pictures. I highly and proudly recommend this place to couples who are interested in having a romantic wedding. It will forever be one of my favorite places on earth.

Let's start by saying I don't write a lot of reviews, however, they did such a great job I had to. For starters Lisa is awesome and you won't be waiting around long to hear back from her. From working with her over the last year and checking out many other venues you can tell she loves what she does and is always there if you need anything answered. We looked at so many places in the Columbus area and this seemed to be one of the few willing to work with us on a smaller wedding (75 guests). Because we paid for the wedding ourselves price was very important, but not the only deciding factor. The staff during the wedding was great and the food was a lot better than we expected. They were even flexible with the menu allowing us to pick things not listed. I've been apart of several weddings, but never had one go so smoothly. I highly recommend Lisa and the Royal American Links for a wedding. We couldn't imagine a better wedding day. We got so many compliments about the venue and it was nice to do everything in one location.

Royal American was perfect for our May 6th wedding. We booked the venue a year and a half in advance, and Lisa was AMAZING to work with the entire time. She responded to my emails promptly (usually within an hour) and answered all of my questions (and I had a lot of them). She was very accommodating and made our wedding day exactly what we wanted! There wasn't an event planned for the night before, so we were able to set up most of our decorations after our rehearsal on Friday. The weather was crazy the day of our wedding, but Lisa came up with alternative options so we could still get married outside. The food was delicious and the event staff was wonderful as well! It is definitely a hidden gem!

The coordinator, Lisa, was SO fabulous! She is so easy to work with and super responsive whenever any questions came up. The venue itself is so beautiful, the scenery is so awesome for pictures. It's also great because it's a golf club, but doesn't look like your typical golf club. The architecture is beautiful and I absolutely loved it from the second I first went there to look at it. The only reasons for not giving them that 5th star are because 1) the keg of Coors Light was really warm, unfortunately making it undrinkable and 2) it got insanely hot (granted I was wearing a lot of layers). However, I realize that either of these reasons aren't necessary their fault and had an awesome time regardless! The food is fantastic as well! Thanks Lisa :) :) :)

My husband and I could not have asked for a better reception. Lisa the coordinator was a dream to work with, she helped ease my mind with all of my wedding planning worries and everything turned out lovely. The food was outstanding and we had lots of compliments. Loved getting to ride the golf carts out to the green to take pics. It rained a little bit on our day so we did not get to utilize the balcony like we hoped. oh well! Getting in the day before to set up was easy and the room looked amazing on our day!

I have had the GREAT pleasure of not only getting to work at Royal, but also to get married here! (So, I may be a little biased..but to be fair, I only started working at Royal after I had already signed a contract to get married here). My husband and I got married here on a beautiful fall day (10/15/16). From the beginning, even prior to being hired on, Lisa, Chef Jeff, and Jason ALL showed great concern to making sure that my wedding was the wedding of my dreams! Lisa never ceased to make sure that everything I wanted was in place! She was absolutely wonderful to work with on my wedding details. She was quick to answer questions, and assist when needed! And, having worked along side her, I constantly saw her doing everything she could to please every bride that walked into her office! Chef Jeff was an absolute joy to work with as well! He was always making sure that guests are accommodated to, receiving the best food and beverages possible! He even makes it a point to be available to brides and grooms, along with parents of brides and grooms, to answer any questions pertaining to the menu. He follows through, after events, to be sure that the food served, satisfied the needs of the guests! Our food for our Rehearsal and our Reception were out of this world! We did a Mediterranean Coastal-meets-Thai theme for our rehearsal dinner, and it was better than restaurant quality! For our reception, we had Italian food, including Chicken Parmesan and Vodka Penne Pasta! Chef let me directly participate in planning the menus for my rehearsal and reception. It all turned out beautifully. And, although, I work there, I have seen him work closely with other brides to assure that they are served a menu that fits their needs and wants, as well! The setting at Royal was equally as wonderful as the staff! Honestly, prior to coming to Royal, I was in contract with a venue in German Village (whom I ended up cancelling on). I had really wanted an urban, chic kind of wedding, downtown. When my mom and I went to Royal for a spur of the moment visit (which Lisa was very flexible about), I just decided to give it a shot. I felt like it was a great package all rolled into one! The golf course is an absolutely stunning backdrop, and the "castle" itself lends wonderfully to the look of the venue as a whole. (Our pictures in this setting, turned out beautifully!) Again, as I stated before, I did end up working for Royal American, but not before I had already signed a contract to use them as my wedding venue! This was the best choice I could have ever made as far as a wedding venue goes! We received SOOOO many compliments on our wedding, and the venue, and the food!! I cannot begin to express to Lisa, Chef, Jason, and all the wonderful staff (Justice, LT, Tracy, Pat, Deneen) how truly grateful Ross and I are to have been able to have you all help make our wedding, the best day of our lives!! We love you all so much, and truly appreciate all your hard work!

This was the venue of my wedding from 7/16/16 and I can't begin to express how wonderful E everything was. The staff was amazing and the event coordinator, Lisa, was always willing to help and answered all my questions in a timely manner. There wasn't any stress about time limits to set up/tear down and the staff helped with whatever we asked. The venue itself was beautiful, especially on the deck at sunset. I looked into 50+ venues and Royal American was by far the best choice.

We used Royal American Links as our venue for our ceremony and reception, this turned out to be a pretty great venue. When we initially booked our wedding it was with a different lady and then we ended up doing most of our planning with Lisa (the coordinator). As a bride I was terrified when I found out that our venue coordinator was leaving and we had no idea what or who we would be left with however Lisa very quickly put that worry to rest and was absolutely amazing from the word go! She helped us with every step of the planning as far as anything regarding the venue. She got to know my husband and I and did everything she could to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. She was able to make sure that everything went as smooth as possible leading up to and on our big day! We truly can't say enough positive things about Lisa. The rest of the staff was pretty amazing the day of our wedding, they catered to us and our guests quickly and efficiently. The only negative part of our experience was with one of the bartenders, she was not very nice to several of our guests-including my mother! I was pretty upset to find out she was rude to my mother as well as some of our other guests. It truly is unfortunate because we were so happy with every other aspect of our experience with Royal American Links. Other than this experience with the bartender our guests raved about how amazing everything looked, we got nothing but positive feedback regarding every other aspect of our wedding. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is due to the feedback from our guests regarding the bartender. Everything else was amazing!

This place is amazing! Beautiful ceilings , amazing lights, the deck is awesome and you don't need much to make this room an elegant affair! Lisa is the bomb.com and chef Jeff is fabulous! We had our wedding & reception at Royal American. The wedding turned out wonderfully. They were very accommodating to all of the details I wanted to integrate into my wedding & they let me hold my ceremony in a different part of the golf course, versus behind the building where they usually were held. It never once felt like we were on a golf course, which I loved. It was a beautiful site & I was very pleased with everything. I started with Tara as our coordinator, but she left 2 months before our wedding, so I did begin to freak out slightly. Jason, the manager, did help take some of my concerns off my chest & helped to make it as smooth as possible, while they were training Tara's replacement. In the end, it turned out fine, but of course it was a bit concerning right before the wedding. The reception went fairly well. They allowed me to decorate the way I wanted & I appreciated the flexibility. I received non-stop compliments about our food. We upgraded to prime rib for one of our entree's & I don't think anyone left the reception without being full. I would highly recommend the prime rib. The wait staff seemed friendly enough. I will agree with another post that I read that the bar staff could be friendlier. I did not receive many compliments about how they were treated & there was some confusion about what things cost & what was complimentary (we did not opt for an open bar, but soft drinks were free. They had a sign that said free on one side & prices on another side, so it caused confusion). I had about 130 guests & it was quite comfortable in the room, with plenty of space to walk around & it did not impose on the dance floor or trying to get food, cake or drinks. Overall, I had a great day, things went smoothly as far as what RAL could provide & I was happy. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone who asks.

Royal American links was a beautiful setting for our September 5th wedding and reception! The planning process was seamless with the help of Tara, who is no longer the coordinator onsite. Paula, the banquet manager, was a fantastic asset to have onboard for day of coordination and I cannot say enough nice things about her as a person and the service she provided. She is truly an asset to the facility. RAL allowed us to set up 2 days prior to the wedding which was truly a lifesaver as far as time was concerned. Our wedding was around 215 guests which they claim can fit comfortably but I would estimate that number to be more around 180-200 max without needing to utilize the dance floor for table space. The food was typical banquet style food but I do highly recommend the chicken Marsala; it was fantastic and received great reviews. We chose to upgrade to bottled beer and extend the bar an hour. We were very upset to find out the majority of bottled beer had run out close to the 9:00pm hour (with reception lasting until 11:00pm). The bartenders were not the most accommodating (or friendly) when we voiced our concern. It took nearly an hour and a half to replenish most of the beer selection. In the big scheme of things; this did not ruin the evening but was an unfavorable event to deal with during the reception considering it was specified before hand and we were charged an extra fee for the service. Overall the service staff/logistics aspect could use some work but the venue for the wedding was beautiful and our guests seemed to have a truly memorable evening.

Royal American was amazing. The venue is stunning. Tara is the wedding coordinator and was incredibly helpful. She let us set up two days prior to the event, which was a huge time saver. On the day of the event, everything was perfect. The venue was worth the price, and it included just about everything. I would definitely recommend this place.

Royal American Links was the perfect location for our daughter's reception! Tara could not have been more helpful--she let us do what we wanted, decoration-wise, and she only spoke up when she saw a potential problem with our ideas (and she was right!). It was awesome to have the option of a cozy fire in the beautiful fireplace when the day turned out to be chilly. With the exception of one bartender who didn't seem to be having a good day, the entire wait staff was great--sooo helpful and nice. Tara/RAL helped make our event fun, not stressful!!

We had our wedding reception at Royal American Links last August and we all could not be any happier with the venue! When we first visited RAL a little over a year ago, we all fell in love! I especially loved the look of the clubhouse, inside and out, and the landscape surrounding the area really added to the fairy tale in mind. Tara was a pleasure to work with all year round. She answered all our millions of questions, and was always really friendly. She made sure that we would not be disappointed. And she was right, all our expectations were not only met, they were exceeded. Our only concern we had, coming up close to the wedding date, was the fact that a golf banquet was scheduled the night before the wedding. With that taking place, we would not be able to come in earlier in the week to set up for our reception, which you can normally do there. Obviously, I or any of my family would not be able to decorate the venue the day of the wedding. Tara assured us that the staff would be there late at night on Friday and early morning Saturday to set up for the reception, and that this has happened before, so she said not to worry. We still had some anxiety over it though. So we had told them that some of us would stop by Friday night to help the staff. The staff didn’t really need help, but we still wanted to be involved. My mother, sister, and cousin showed up there after our rehearsal dinner, after the golf banquet was over, and they did as much as they could. Since I wasn’t able to be a part of the actual decorating, I handed Tara some notes and photos earlier in the week on how and where I wanted the décor. The staff had done such a great job, they put the reception hall together exactly how I had imagined it all along. When my husband and I walked into the hall for the first time that evening and saw all our family and friends in that very same space that was already charming but now all done up for the occasion, we were blown away, and it really made that amazing moment even more of a dream-come-true! Everything was fantastic (not to mention the gorgeous sunset view from the balcony)! Our guests LOVED the option of either being inside where the party was or taking a stroll outside within the beautiful scenery. Thankfully, we were blessed with perfect weather. Also, all the food we had selected for the event was very good! Many of our guests complimented on the food that was served. (We definitely recommend the pecan crusted salmon!) The chef, Jason, was very friendly and accommodating and he cooked up a wonderful trial dinner for us, and he and his staff were able to do it again on the day of our wedding! The staff at the reception was so nice and helpful to our guests. One of them even helped watch over a child who wandered into the garden room where our s’mores bar was. The child was curious for the snack and his parents hadn’t caught up to him quite yet. Paula, the banquet manager, was so sweet and extremely helpful! She gathered all our dollar dance money into an envelope and made sure we got that and all our wedding cards and other belongings at the end of the night. Some of our wedding party mentioned her a couple months later, saying they remember her and how sweet she was! I can’t say enough about Royal American Links as a wedding venue! They really went above and beyond to make our wedding day extra special! We'll be dreaming about it forever!

Our wedding ceremony and reception were held at Royal American Links this past October. I could not possibly have been happier with how the day turned out. Every single thing went according to plan, and I have Royal American Links to thank. Tara went above and beyond to make sure all of my details looked perfect. We had a special request for our menu and were a little nervous about how it would turn out, but Tara and the chef Jason ran with our vision and it was absolutely what we had imagined. Not to mention delicious! On the wedding day staff made sure we were comfortable and kept asking us if we needed anything, and brought us snacks even when we didn't realize that we were hungry. The location is absolutely gorgeous and was the most practical venue that we visited. There are locker rooms to get ready, a gorgeous event room for the reception, and a pub downstairs where we had our cocktail hour. We had the choice of an indoor or outdoor ceremony. We held ours indoors because of the time of year, and it was amazing how seamless the transition was from ceremony to reception in the same room. The venue was perfect for our "rustic" theme, but would also work for something more fancy. In the beginning (months before the wedding) the response time on the emails was a little slow, but do not be alarmed! It became clear that the staff puts all of their energy into the bride and groom of that week and when your day comes closer, the response time will become faster and faster, and you will become the center of their attention. I highly recommend Royal American Links to any bride and groom. I could keep typing all day. I do not have a single complaint (which is rare for me). Perfect venue!!

I recently had my wedding at Royal American and was very impressed by all that it had to offer! My husband and I really wanted a preppy golf club type wedding, so when we found Royal American, we were very excited with what we could do. The event coordinator, Tara, was a joy to work with and was always able to answer any questions and offer insight. The wedding packages offered so much and were very well-priced. What impressed me the most was the service I received during the actual wedding day. All the staff made sure that my husband's needs and I were met. Even when my husband and I had to leave the dinner to go take a few pictures, we came back to our food heated up for us and the staff making sure we had everything we needed. I could not ask for more from Royal American. They made the wedding planning so easy and offered so much for such an awesome price. I would definately recommend Royal American for anyone looking for a wedding venue.

RAL was the absolute perfect place to have our wedding! The very first moment we walked in to the room, we knew we wanted to have our reception there. The whole atmosphere of the room was perfect, and the outside balcony was the selling point. Tara was so helpful throughout the entire process and was willing to answer any and all questions. Our day turned out to be absolutely perfect; the bar worked so well right next to the dance floor and the food was delicious, not your typical banquet food! Everyone on staff was so friendly and helpful throughout, especially Paula, the banquet manager. She carried my plate as we walked through the buffet and was there for us every step of the way; getting us drinks during dinner to showing us how to cut the cake! I honestly could not imagine a better place to have your wedding. I highly recommend RAL for any type of event!

We had our Wedding Reception at RAL and it went wonderfully. The staff, especially Paula, was wonderful. They did everything we asked and were friendly and professional. The food was wonderful, we had the salmon and prime rib and received many compliments. We had a winter wedding and they had the fireplace going during our event, it created a very nice atmosphere. I had a few issues at the beginning communicating with the wedding coordinator, but in the end the reception was wonderful and went exactly as planned. I would recommend the venue (and the salmon as well!).

Royal American is a perfect place for your wedding!!! Tara and her entire staff were so incredibly helpful and completely accommodating! I couldn't have picked a place more perfect.

Royal American is a gorgeous place for a wedding and reception. Our daughter and son-in-law were married in an outdoor wedding just off the golf course. The guests' view of the wedding from the balcony was unique and beautiful. The reception was fantastic. Everyone raved about the food. The staff members were so helpful and accommodating. Tara, the event planner, was just awesome. She took care of so many little details. There are great places on the golf course for pictures, too. The staff helped with the set-up and completely took care of all clean-up. I would give Royal American an A+!!!

Royal American Links is truly Central Ohio's best kept secret! We held our daughter's wedding reception there this past June in their beautiful banquet room with cathedral ceilings, chandeliers, built in bar, wood dance floor, stone fireplace, and lovely garden room. Numerous windows gave way to gorgeous views of the golf course, and French doors led to a wonderful balcony overlooking it all where the jazz band played during cocktail hour. We had so many compliments from our guests on the beautiful, relaxing venue. We really enjoyed working with Tara, the Sales Director, who made the entire planning process so easy and stress free from our first meeting with her until the conclusion of our event. My emails with questions or concerns were answered immediately, and I never had trouble reaching her. She listened to all of our ideas and suggestions, and made them a reality. Tara and the banquet manager were so helpful with their suggestions as well. Tara, the bartenders, and the entire staff were great that evening as they were focused solely on our event as there is only one event held there at a time. We were able to drop off our centerpieces, escort cards, guest book, etc. a couple of days prior to the wedding, and the staff set up the room according to our "vision" and then we went back to see if we wanted any changes made. When we dropped everything off, Tara helped us unload and carry everything in. At the conclusion of the reception, the staff took care of everything. They boxed all of our stuff up, locked all of the gifts in the office, and we were able to come the next day at our convenience to pick it all up. Tara helped us load it all up too! We had so many compliments on the delicious food as well. When we attended the taste testing a few months prior, we were able to try a variety of the food from their menu, and everything we ate was delicious. We really enjoyed the food and it was just as good, if not better, at the reception. You can't go wrong with the Seasonal Greens Salad with House Italian Vinaigrette, Pecan Crusted Salmon, Chicken Marsala, Roasted Potato Medley, and the Italian vegetable medley. We chose the Premium Bar Package, and liked the wine in that package, but we did upgrade the champagne. We would recommend Royal American Links for any event as Tara really listens to what you envision, makes helpful suggestions, works with you to keep it within your budget, and makes it as easy and stress free as possible from start to finish.

The Royal American was absolutely awesome! The Ceremony outside was so beautiful, and the reception area inside was even more beautiful The service was amazing. The food was excellent. The cost was affordable. And Judi the cordinator of events there was a pleasure to work with. Highly, highly recommend the Royal American Links for any event!

The whole experience with Royal American was wonderful. Day of our wedding, it was gorgeous. Food was great, staff was very professional and kind to all of our guests. We couldn't have wanted for any more.

I loved everything about Royal American! Not only was the place BEAUTIFUL, but everyone was so helpful. I loved working with them and felt really confident leaving them in charge of my wedding. They did a wonderful job! :)

from the first meeting with Judi, til the cleaning up stages after the reception everything was well planned and easy to follow. Judi was amazing along with the staff. Judi had so many options for the ceremony and reception lay out it was awesome. we where able to pick what we we're comfortable with and make it with "our touch". Indoor or out, depending on weather. Beautiful venue, you can have inside and outdoor ceremony. Great for photos all over the grounds! They did all the decorating, I just had to drop everything off the week before! And they boxed up gems and candles afterwards and had it all ready for us. We had nothing to worry about on our big day! Judi contacted all my vendors and planned with them, and she was there the day of to make sure things started smoothly.Same for the day of, she was walking around making sure everything was on time! Food and Drinks done their also! (amazing food by the way) Many food and drink options! Judi had a personal staff to help the bride and groom the whole night ( food, cake, drinks). Again they truly made it easy and simple, which was less stressful! CHECK THEM OUT!

Great service and beautiful on the inside. Easy to work with. However, for a wedding over 150 it can be a little tight.

We loved RA. The cost for food was very good and we loved the setting. The balcony is really pretty and the sunset on the golf course is beautiful. We were really happy with royal american!

Our venue was gorgeous. Every detail was addressed. Our guests are still talking about how unique and enjoyable the entire evening was. The balcony overlooking the garden (where we had our ceremony) and golf course was everyone's favorite physical feature. Above all, our event team made our day absolutely perfect -- each and every one of them were wonderful to work with!

We visited many venues but none got our attention like RA. The front entrance is beautiful it has high ceilings a huge patio and a great view. It had the indoor and outdoor entertainment space that we wanted.
