The Royal Frenchmen as a venue itself was absolutely beautiful, however, we had countless issues with the new staff that was hired at the end of 2024. We paid to do the all inclusive package, which includes a wedding planner and day-of-coordinator. Majority of our wedding planning we worked with amazing, professional, and experienced planners. However, 2 months before the wedding the owner hired an entirely new staff without giving their clients any notification. The last 2 months of wedding planning were the WORST experience, and I strongly recommend seeking a different venue solely because of the new staff. Despite majority of our wedding already being planned, the new staff still struggled to plan the last little bit of our wedding. The lack of communication was incredibly frustrating and it was very clear that the new staff did not have the same skill level in wedding planning as before. I dealt with rude, disrespectful hotel employees that would not or could not help me and was even hung up on. I voiced my problems in an email to the new manager and never received any response which was pretty on par given the rest of my interactions with the staff. There were several mishaps on the day of the wedding that were all ultimately due to the failure of the day-of-coordinator to fulfill their job duties. I feel that if I'd had the wedding planner and day-of-coordinator I was working with initially, my entire ceremony and reception would have gone off without a single hitch. Part of the reason we loved the Royal Frenchmen and signed a contract with them was because of the initial wedding planner. The new staff made my last 2 months of wedding planning a living hell, and I can say without a doubt that I would have never signed a contract with the venue if I knew they would be the ones responsible for my wedding. The only way I would recommend the Royal Frenchmen is if you didn't opt for the all inclusive and hired your own wedding planner/day-of-coordinator. Though, even then you'd still have to deal with the incompetent, unpleasant hotel staff. The Royal Frenchmen is not what it once was and unfortunately I experienced it firsthand. DO NOT HAVE YOUR WEDDING AT THE ROYAL FRENCHMEN.
Our wedding at the Royal Frenchmen Hotel was a DREAM! We of course loved the venue, but only finalized our decision after meeting the incredible team. Chloe, Nina, Tyler, and the rest are some of the kindest, hardest working people I have ever met! They made the entire planning process go so smoothly. Every time we met with them they were so chill and easy to talk to but also made sure every little detail was taken care of. They were around for anything we needed all weekend, and I am still getting compliments from our guests on how cool and helpful they all were. I would HIGHLY recommend the Royal Frenchmen as a wedding or event venue. Not only is it beautiful and unique, but you will be so well taken care of on your big day. 11/10!!
The Royal Frenchmen Hotel was an absolute gem. The courtyard itself was beautiful and breathtaking. Chloe, Nina, Joshua, Dominic, and their team were the DREAM TEAM; they were just fantastic, with so much personality and authenticity that you can't find anywhere else. Joshua helped us create unique cocktails representing our personalities; they were not just cocktails but craftmanship--aesthetically pleasing, tasty, and amazing.
To say "our wedding day was perfect" is an understatement; everyone went above and beyond to help us create the wedding we envisioned. We were so happy to get to know them and work with them in every detail, and honestly, we could not ask for anything better.
The Royal Frenchmen Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of our guests. We love that we were able to have the entire hotel for our friends and family for our wedding weekend. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception here. The Courtyard and Lobby were absolutely beautiful. Everything turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. Special thanks to Megan, Tyler, Sandra, and Candace for our perfect wedding weekend.
The courtyard and hotel were even more beautiful than we had expected. The hotel itself is private and every person who worked there was just amazing. They bent over backwards to make the experience great and made fun recommendations to our family members who aren’t familiar with New Orleans. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking Frenchmen and it was perfect. The on-site bar is excellent. We’d definitely recommend!
Royal Frenchmen Bar & Grill was the ultimate venue! We stayed at the hotel the entire time along with having all of the wedding festivities at the wedding. The hotel was great because our guests where also able to stay at the hotel with us and everyone was treated exceptional.
Hugh (the owner) and Jamie where amazing to work with. Everyone was onboard to letting our wedding decorator do as she pleased and we where able to utilize the entire grounds the day of the wedding.
The courtyard was amazing for our ceremony along with utilizing the lobby for our cocktail hour while our vendors flipped the courtyard to be the reception area. We were able to have our dream wedding that was extremely affordable. I would highly recommend this venue.
Absolutely a dream wedding!!!!!
