Royal Melbourne Country Club is an adaptable choice for couples planning their big day. With several spaces on offer, to-be-weds can be flexible when organizing their special event. They can choose to host their ceremony outdoors on the private terrace space overlooking the beautiful nature that envelops the venue. Afterwards, a reception for up to 220 friends and family can be held in The Grand Ballroom. The space combines upscale elegance with rustic touches such as its iron chandeliers. Light-filled and open-plan, parties are invited to gather on its large dance floor and celebrate the night away. There is a further space, The Royal Room, connected to the ballroom that can also be used for receptions or a pre-reception gathering such as a cocktail interlude. Furniture, including tables and chairs, is included with the rental of the property. There is parking available on site.

We got married November 2 at Royal Melbourne and can't recommend this venue enough! We initially fell in love with it because we wanted an indoor ceremony but didn't want to give up the out door views. They have a beautiful window wall that gave us exactly what we were looking for! For November- it was perfect having our cocktail hour both inside by the cozy fireplace and outside on the veranda overlooking the golf course! Another huge plus was that we got ready and had the ceremony and reception all in one place! We were the only wedding that weekend so we were able to have the rehearsal in the same space too!
Megan was absolutely amazing to work with and she truly went above and beyond for us! She was so responsive throughout the entire planning process which took all my stress away! (even answering questions and emails off hours/weekends!) The day of went so smoothly because of all the magic she worked behind the scenes! She's also a pro at driving the golf cart to find the best places to capture our photos! We know our fairytale of a day wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of Megan and all the staff! 2 months later and we are still getting compliments from family and friends!

The Royal Melbourne was the most amazing wedding venue! Our day was absolutely perfect. The venue is a beautiful place inside and out. So many places for great photos! Food and service were great, too! Everything was perfect!
I also cannot say enough about Megan D. She was such a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process and was on top of it day-of! So organized, attentive, and accommodating! Great attention to detail. Highly recommend!

We had the absolute best wedding day and huge thank you to the Royal Melbourne for that! Megan helped support us throughout the entire planning process and was extremely helpful on the day of (along with Francisco) since we did not have a wedding planner or coordinator. The team quickly made decisions on making our cocktail hour half inside half outside since the weather became a bit cloudy with potential rain, which ended up being a perfect judgement call and easy on us to not have to worry. In addition, we've been hearing so many compliments on how the food was, so major shout out to the chef and team! We served filet mignon, salmon and the veggie pasty. The appetizers were a huge hit as well (specifically the grilled cheese and beef wellington!). Finally, the bartenders and wait staff were wonderful. Super friendly overall and professional! Francisco was also amazing to have the night of. He was attentive to anything we needed and really helped end the night on a great note!

Our wedding was a dream– and exceeded our (high) expectations. A month later, we still have guests telling us it was one of the nicest weddings they’ve been to. We got the question, “how did you find this place?” multiple times!
The newly renovated clubhouse is stunning, which is what initially sold us on the venue. It has “wow” factor from the moment you drive onto the property. The ballroom provided the perfect palette to create our vision. The terrace for cocktail hour overlooks the golf course. The room connected to the ballroom was a perfect setting for our photobooth and the ice cream cart we brought in.
Megan, the coordinator, is wonderful to work with. We didn’t have a wedding planner and she made sure everything was executed to our expectation. On the day of, she was there to guide us and take us around to all of the pretty locations for pictures.
Having great food was one of the most important parts of the wedding to us – and it was something we were anxious about having never previously attended a wedding at the venue. We offered filet, sea bass and risotto options to our guests. The filets were cooked to a perfect medium rare/medium temperature. Fish was really good. There were a few minor issues with the food – one table didn't receive salad dressing – it took multiple people to resolve the issue due to language barriers of the wait staff. A few of the people we’d noted had food sensitivities didn’t receive their adjusted meals. I wished we could’ve offered a chicken option – but will note that they are rigid on only letting you select 3 entrees and 1 must be vegetarian (or, if you don’t offer it and someone needs a vegetarian meal, you’ll be charged a per person price for every single guest, as we were told they’d have to bring in an entirely separate chef to be able to offer a 4th option.) Overall though, the food is solid.
We toured many venues before deciding on RMCC– the one piece of feedback we do have – is they are less flexible than other venues. When we asked for certain things other places, the response always seemed to be “we could do that for you.” Unfortunately, RMCC was more rigid and we were met with “no” more than we would’ve liked.
First, we wanted to offer Aperol Spritzes but were told it’s difficult to get the supplies for them. As you likely know, this is a popular drink and these supplies are readily available at local distributors. Secondly, we wanted to offer a certain beer as one of our “signature drinks”. We were met with the same reaction, even when we confirmed that Binny’s could provide a keg of this beer. It was a violation of the liquor license to bring it in ourselves, so we had to let it go.
Secondly, the bar packages didn’t include the bride's dad’s favorite drink - Johnny Walker. The solution was they’d keep a bottle behind the bar - but charge him $15 per drink. From an experiential standpoint, when you’re already spending a lot of money at the venue, this seems like something they'd throw in.
Lastly, the groomsmen went to RMCC to take their “getting ready” pictures. RMCC was strict on no photos on the golf course, which was the main reason they went to take pictures there. We understand safety precautions - but, per our photo/video vendors, this was a level of strictness they don’t often encounter other places.
All in all, it was a magical event and we’d highly recommend RMCC. There are just a few small customer experience adjustments that could take it from great to exceptional.

This was the first venue of many we looked at when deciding on where to hold our wedding reception. We fell in love with so many aspects of this venue- from the hall itself to the beautiful patio area to the amenities and accommodations. We found ourselves comparing this venue to all the others we looked at afterwards. By the time we had our last venue to check out, we had already made up our minds we were going to have it here. Megan and the other staff were beyond excellent and went above and beyond to help make our day as perfect as it could be. So many of our guests came up to us after the reception expressing to us how wonderful and beautiful this place was. The Royal Melbourne Country Club is definitely a place to check out if you are interested in a beautiful, traditional style reception hall with amazing scenery.

It was my pleasure to give my daughter her Wedding & I had chosen Royal Melbourne for the Reception Venue after touring various other event spaces.
It may sound cliche to say I am speechless , but there is a truth to that adage, From the moment I met Megan D. the Banquet Manager & was shown the gorgeous Reception Ball room, veranda, anterior Royal room for a Sweet Table I was sold. The Wedding took place early Sept 2024 just a week ago, and the compliments continue to pour in from our family & friends who attended the Wedding. The food, the attention to detail, the service, the ambience , the quality of every detail was without compare. Fransisco & his command of service over his staff throughout the evening was exceptional. There is not a finer Banquet Manager than Megan. Her know how her professionalism her continued assurance of effecting every request for added touches was without fail. To anyone reading this review I sincerely urge you to choose Royal Melbourne as the supreme choice for your Wedding Reception. It will prove to not only be outstanding , but one that you will deliver a lasting cherished memory.

We just held our son's wedding at Royal Melbourne Country Club last weekend and can't say enough good things about the experience! We booked the venue about a year ago after exploring quite a few other possible options -- RMCC stood out not only for the value, but because the staff truly seemed vested in our wedding from the start. Megan, Michelle, Francisco, Karen and the entire staff have made the year-long planning process such a smooth experience. Their professionalism, event experience and dedication to assuring our wedding went off without a hitch was truly remarkable. As I am sure is the case with all weddings, there are always lots of last-minute details and changes that can cause anyone to get stressed -- but that did not happen. Megan was super responsive and on top of all the details -- including a last-minute mix-up in meal counts!
They were very accommodating to our vendors, allowing them access to the room early in the day and even for a site check a few weeks before the wedding. Our guests raved at how beautiful the venue was and that the dinner service and food were top-notch! Thank you Megan and the entire staff at RMCC -- our wedding was a huge success thanks in large part to your outstanding service! We wish you continued success!!!

The Royal Melbourne was everything we were looking for in a venue. We toured so many venues that when we came across the Royal Melbourne we knew it was our top choice. The package included so many perks and the venue itself was beautiful. We had a winter wedding at the end of January and had so many options for pictures without needing to be outside. Megan, the day of coordinator, was amazing to work with. She was always available for my questions and had timely responses. Leading up to the wedding we had a few last minute changes and Megan helped with all of them. We have received so many compliments from our family and friends on the food and service. Absolutely beautiful wedding venue with amazing food and staff. I looked at over 12 venues nearby and this was definitely the most gorgeous, yet cost effective. We had plenty of space for our 140 guest wedding and didn't need to hire a day-of coordinator since the venue provides one for you. They have a gorgeous outside for pictures and you're the only wedding there for the day so it feels super private. Only complaint is that the ceremony location is a little cramped and our guests were in direct sunlight.

We just had our wedding at the Royal Melbourne on 07.29.23 and we were beyond pleased with our choice of venue. For starters the outside patio is the perfect place to have your cocktail hour (we lucked out with amazing weather). All of our guests raved about how the receptions room and the patio were connected giving the reception and outdoor/indoor feel. Megan is the main employee you work with during the planning stages, and she is so so helpful! She always answered all of my questions and really helped with whatever we needed. My guests also raved about our bartenders! The entire staff was just great, and I am so excited to see our photos from the golf course. If you are trying to decide on the perfect venue for your day, I hope this helps because 10/10 I would recommend this awesome location and awesome staff!

I highly recommend having your event here! The staff is wonderful. My husband and I decided to have our rehearsal dinner here as well. The food was amazing! The Royal Melbourne is a hidden gem and such a perfect wedding venue in so many different ways. We had our wedding on June 10th and the day couldn't have been more perfect. Megan, the day of coordinator, was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding process. Communication was always open and clear with the venue. My questions were always answered in a timely manner and as we got closer to the wedding Megan helped work with us to make sure everything was perfect the day of the wedding. I didn't stress one bit during the entire wedding weekend and got to enjoy every moment of it. I cannot thank Megan enough for all of her help with everything she and the staff really go above and beyond from the day you book the venue. From the very first day we toured the venue, we knew it was the one. I loved that we were the only wedding there. It just made the day so much more special. Not only is the venue beautiful, but the food is DELICIOUS. We still continue to get compliments on the food a month after our wedding. It was probably the best food and service we have experienced at a wedding in a long time. A variety of food and drink options that please a wide variety of guests. We just got our wedding pictures back and they are just amazing. So many great spots to take pictures at the venue whether you do a first look or not. The spot where the ceremony is located is intimate and I loved that it was off the golf course and had a great backdrop for pictures. Do not pass up on having your wedding at the Royal Melbourne. Our wedding day was so special and I truly thank the entire RM staff for ensuring this. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AMAZING!!

The Royal Melbourne is a BEAUTIFUL county club. There is a great balcony that overlooks the course and gives guests the opportunity to get some fresh air while still being a part of the party. The Royal Melbourne was very helpful through the whole planning process, very prompt on answering emails and providing organization details and information. The two star review unfortunately comes from the actual night of the wedding. Not only were the specific beer selections we made not available, the club "ran out" of beer and whiskey one hour before the wedding was over. The meal choice we selected at our tasting was not what was served, and the staff was using our photo booth to take pictures instead of tending to our guests.
While the club did apologize and send a refund for the incorrect entrée served, we are still very disappointed with the level of service and professionalism the night of our wedding.

Our daughter’s wedding reception took place at Royal Melbourne CC in November, 2022. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the venue and Megan, the catering director. From the day we toured the site to the wedding day itself, Megan was very professional as well as kind, helpful and a good communicator. The food including appetizers, soup, salad, entree and dessert table were all delicious. We offered vegan options as well as meat and fish and all were well received. The servers and bar tenders were all very capable and professional. The venue was decorated with our personalized items as we requested. We had some bad weather which required some changes which Megan handled calmly and completely. I highly recommend Royal Melbourne.

We had our daughter's wedding there on Saturday and it could not have been more perfect. Megan Duszynski, catering manager, was on top of it from the start. Great communication and perfect execution. The room setup was great, the stage for the 11 pc band perfect. She worked with all the vendors to make it happen. It is a beautiful venue and I encourage anyone to book it if possible.

Talk about a best kept secret! If you’re thinking about somewhere to have your wedding, look no further. We have had the best experience possible and our day was absolutely perfect. Seriously, I cannot recommend Royal Melbourne Country Club enough! The food was outstanding, and the staff is incredible. They truly make you feel like family on your special day. Kim, the event coordinator, was getting us drinks, helping to bustle my dress, checking on us constantly, and even took time to pin my dress when one of the bustle loops broke! They truly go above and beyond. As a “covid bride” I also loved that they let me pick a backup date so we could have a small reception right after our ceremony followed by a big party later this summer. We honestly weren’t going to look here based on the pictures that the knot had, but went on a whim (they were one of few places allowing us to tour at the beginning of covid) and I’m SO happy we did. We felt safe the entire time, guests are still raving about the food, and our dream wedding truly became a reality! Kim was super great to work with and answered my millions of emails without missing a beat! She also helped coordinate vendors so that we didn’t need to hire a coordinator and got to save some money on that end. If you’re on the fence, I’ll be the first to say, go check it out - the venue is BEAUTIFUL and the people are INCREDIBLE. You WILL fall in love!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Royal Melbourne! My husband and I had to reschedule our April 2020 date to June 2020 and let me tell you....the RMCC team worked their tails off to keep us informed and stay in close contact as we tried to pick another date. They all truly bent over backwards to make our day more amazing than we could have ever thought - everyoen gave 110%, from Michelle, to Kim, to Pasquale, to even Ed the general manager getting involved to make our day not only happen but to make it beyond beautiful. We were so very lucky to have picked Royal Melbourne before covid hit, because they really came through for us when it mattered most. The food was PHENOMONAL (everyone kept telling us so!), the service was fantastic, the grounds are a dream to capture photos on, and the twinkly-lit veranda was simply magical. We are forever grateful to Royal Melbourne and their amazing staff for our unforgettable day!

Our wedding was perfect due to Kim and the Royal Melbourne team. There is no way wed be able to pull off our covid wedding which got cancelled then brought back on 3 weeks before the date without Kim. She was extremely helpful and supportive every step of the way. We got so many compliments how perfect and beautiful the wedding was. What a wonderful experience working with Royal Melbourne! The venue itself is GORGEOUS and overlooks the beautiful golf course. From the moment we booked Royal Melbourne for our wedding reception until the big day, the staff was so attentive and kind, making sure our event was the very best it could be. In particular, Kim and Michelle were FABULOUS! We worked with both during our wedding planning (Michelle at the beginning and Kim towards the end) and both were so helpful. We cannot thank Kim and Michelle enough for their wonderful work in the weeks leading up to and including the big day. They patiently took every one of our (many!) phone calls and made sure that each detail was perfect. On the big day, Kim was a huge help in making sure everything ran smoothly. It was a wonderful event and we cannot thank the staff at Royal Melbourne enough!

Royal Melbourne was the most beautiful venue. The food was amazing and the service was even better. From the table waiters, to the bar staff, to the managers - they made our dream come true. Photos on the golf course were absolutely incredible and very nice so that our bridal party could catch majority of the cocktail hour. The in-house catering made it all so easy, they are a one stop shop! We loved working with Kim and Michelle!!

Royal Melbourne Country Club was the perfect place for our wedding. The staff was amazing and always in great communication! Even during these crazy times with the pandemic Kim made the planning process easy and made sure my guests were all safe during the wedding. I almost had to reschedule the bridal shower the night before and Kim had an entire backup plan ready to go before I had time to panic! If I could rate 6 stars I would have! Photos were amazing in the golf course and my guests are still raving about the food! I wouldn't have had my dream wedding in 2020 without the help of Kim and all the staff at Royal Melbourne.

Royal Melbourne Country Club provided us amazing service for our daughter's wedding in July 2020. Her original wedding venue, scheduled a year earlier, was closed due to the pandemic. With about 4 weeks notice RMCC planned and facilitated a wonderful event for our 14 family members. The couple said it turned out not to be "plan b" but that their wedding was very special-- from the beautiful site to the food including the wonderful staff. I cannot say enough good things about the general manager, Ed, and our event director, Kim Mueller, who both took such a personal interest in making this event perfect for us. Our family could not have asked for more support at a stressful time when we essentially planned an entirely 2nd different wedding with only weeks to go. I highly recommend them.

The Royal Melbourne was a dream to work with during a nightmare of a year! Getting married in 2020 was not easy...there were many difficult decisions to make and changes that needed to be done in order to have our special day, and through it all Kim and the Royal Melbourne were there for us! So flexible, so accommodating, and so KIND! Through postponements, drastic guest list cuts, and safety procedures, they made sure everything was perfect for the big day. We were able to have our 50 person wedding and feel completely safe...while having a blast! Kim is a pro...everything was set for the day perfectly, and you can tell she has a lot of experience! The food was great, the room beautiful, and the staff friendly. With all the changes COVID forced us to make, I'm so so so happy that changing our venue wasn't one of them. We also know a couple that got married there pre-covid and had a much larger wedding and they also had an amazing experience (they recommended us) so regardless of when you get married, how many people, etc, the Royal Melbourne has got you.
The most important thing I learned throughout the wedding planning experience is that you want to surround yourself with venues and people that put YOU and your spouse first, above all else. The Royal Melbourne does that and more!

We were so happy with the Royal Melbourne from our first visit all the way to picking up our stuff after the big day! Michelle was so helpful and understanding of how much goes in to the wedding planning process. She worked with us quickly and often to ensure the day was absolutely perfect. The staff, the food, landscaping, decor... everything was perfect! We have gotten tons of compliments on our wedding and are so happy we reserved the Royal Melbourne!

Royal Melbourne was the perfect wedding venue for our summer ceremony and reception! Both Michelles were very helpful and organized throughout all the planning and on the day-of; they thought of special details I hadn’t even considered. We chose to move out ceremony inside a few days because the weather was going to be so hot and humid, and this was not a problem at all. The golf course was very beautiful and the food was excellent. I got so many compliments from guests about the service, food, location, and scenery. If I could do it all over again, I would do it exactly the same :-)

I had my wedding here in July 2018. It was the perfect day! Everyone who worked at Royal Melbourne did everything they could to make sure my vision came true. It was raining that day and they were super accommodating with options and letting me choose to have it outside (it stopped raining for pictures and the ceremony, thank goodness!). It was very easy to get in contact with Kim, who was our wedding coordinator. Michelle was there as well, it was her first wedding as the new coordinator. They both did an amazing job! If I could do it all over again, I would have my wedding there, hands down. Everything was beautiful and modern. And the food was delicious!

We have nothing but good things to say about our reception at Royal Melbourne! Michelle and her staff set everything up perfectly and organized the night without a hitch. The appetizers and entrees were delicious and generously portioned. We received many compliments on our food. They have a great outdoor space that overlooks the 18th hole. We looked at many venues in the area, and are extremely happy that we went with Royal Melbourne. They really had everything we were looking for!

Royal Melbourne is amazing! We had our ceremony and reception there in September and I am so thankful that we found this place. It is a beautiful place and has so many great locations for photos. We ended up with about 190 people and it felt like the perfect size for that. We had our ceremony outside in the lawn area by the clubhouse and not only was it beautiful with the big trees and landscaping, but I also felt like we had privacy from the rest of the golf course. I loved how open, airy, and full of light the whole building felt and especially loved the window doors in the reception room that we were able to open once the dancing started. All of the food was delicious - and not just by wedding food standards. Kim is awesome and was so helpful through the whole process and on the wedding day. We considered getting a day of coordinator because so many friends had recommend to, but decided against it because we realized Kim was so on top of everything and really knew her stuff. We still are getting compliments on how everything went and how awesome Royal Melbourne was. Another huge reason we were so happy was that we really felt like Royal Melbourne was reasonably priced. Weddings are expensive and it makes it so much better when you feel like you're not wasting anything.

Royal Melbourne and their staff, especially Kim, their even coordinator were great to work with! The venue and golf course were stunning especially for photos for our wedding day! When planning our wedding we knew we wanted a golf course for the scenery and the convenience of having the outdoor ceremony and reception in the same place. We looked at Royal Melbourne first and several others later the following days but nothing could top what we noticed right away at Royal Melbourne! The Country Club's event planner Kim is very friendly and accommodating as well as immensely helpful! For someone who had never been in a wedding, with two sets of parents who had never planned weddings, Kim gave us the run-down with plenty of suggestions and options and helped us envision our dream......even as the storm clouds rolled in Kim stayed calm while laying out our options. Ultimately we took on some sprinkles and but Kim and her team made sure everything aside from the clouds went off without a hitch. We rented the bridal suite which was a nice getaway for the bridal party between photos, the ceremony, and cocktail hour, and it has a window that overlooks the ceremony site so we could peek out the blinds on guests arriving which was fun! As far as dinner goes, my dad and many guests said it was the best NY strip steak they ever had, though the parmesan crusted chicken and grouper with mango relish with rice pilaf and a wedge salad were just as delicious. After the wedding we were able to head to the hotel while Kim's staff stored our centerpieces and other decor and bits in her office and we were able to pick it up the next day, along with our wrapped cake! The whole experience with Royal Melbourne was wonderful and I enjoy reminiscing over our photoshoot on the picturesque golf course and memories of the amazing dinner hour and dancing! Thank you Kim and staff, you are exceptional!

My husband and I had our reception here on 8-22-15. It was positively amazing!! From the second we pulled into the Royal Melbourne County Club we were amazed. And it just kept getting better as we walked through the great room and onto the gorgeous balcony overlooking the golf course. Our guests are still talking about how perfect it was and the food was OUTSTANDING! We had the Parmesan Encrusted chicken and everyone was blown away by how good it was! The reception went absolutely perfect the entire night. And for that we have the wedding coordinator, Kim, to thank! She was on top of everything from helping us plan to making sure everything was smooth the day of. It truly was our dream wedding and this is the perfect place.

My husband and I highly recommend the Royal Melbourne Country Club, without reservation. We knew from the moment we met Kim, that we were in good hands. We were blown away by Kim's knowledge, expertise and attention to detail. Kim was professional, organized and thorough and anticipated our needs before we had to ask (or even knew we needed them!). I was able to relax on my wedding day because she followed through to make sure everyone did their part. Furthermore, she communicated with the other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. We dropped off our wedding favors, card boxes, décor, and other wedding essentials the night before the wedding and the staff promised to take care of everything (and they did!). We were married on Saturday, June 13th, a day that started out quite dreary due to rain. With our wedding scheduled to be out in the garden, Kim kept a watchful eye on the radar and checked in frequently. A couple of hours before the wedding, we decided to move the ceremony to the veranda. This meant that the veranda had to be set up for the wedding then immediately after, set up for our cocktail hour. A task in which the staff handled flawlessly and effortlessly. We were relieved that the rain held out long enough for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and outdoor pictures. The grounds were impeccably maintained with beautiful flowers and greenery. The friendly staff moved swiftly to keep everything moving and on schedule. I could keep writing but I'm sure you get the point. If you are looking for a beautiful, high class, and professional venue, look no further than the Royal Melbourne.

My husband and I got married in October 2014 and had an amazing reception at Royal Melbourne Country Club. Once we saw the room at Royal Melbourne we stopped looking at any other places. The country club is beautiful with a classic and elegant style. The patio area right outside of the room made it so nice to go outside and get some air while still being able to look inside to make sure we weren't missing anything. The large wall of windowed doors was a beautiful backdrop to our sweetheart table.
One of the best things about having our reception at Royal Melbourne was working with their wedding coordinator Kim. She was amazing and had a lot of experience! She was always quick to respond on any questions and always made herself available when we needed. She was a wonderful part of the experience at Royal Melbourne.
All of our guests said they had an amazing time and enjoyed how they offered different types of dinner food and appetizer options than regular wedding food. The bartenders also did an amazing job. We had a lot of great feedback on how they kept the party going at the bar.
We would both recommend Royal Melbourne to anyone looking a beautifully delicious wedding reception.

I was just recently married at Royal Melbourne Country Club in September 2013. Everyone and everything there was perfect! We chose this venue after looking at several others in the Chicago suburbs and fell in love with it. Compared to a lot of the other venues, Royal Melbourne was SO flexible with everything. We had such a tough time with other venues about what we could bring in and what we couldn't, but they made it so easy. Michelle and Kim, the coordinators at Royal Melbourne, are a dream team. They are so responsive to everything and were always such a help with everything. Especially once it got closer to the wedding and I was a stressed bride! Kim checked in on me as the wedding neared to make sure I was doing okay and to ask if I needed help with anything. She was there for the wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the whole day and night. We couldn't have asked for better people to work with. They were always so communicative, enthusiastic, and approachable. Honestly, they sold this venue.
We had about 170 guests and we had the ceremony outdoors on the lawn. It seemed like there was enough room to hold all of our guests, although, honestly I wasn't paying complete attention to the audience as my focus was on my husband! The big tree on the lawn is such a pretty back drop for the ceremony, and during the evening hours the light was so pretty. The cocktail hour was out on the veranda and it is so pretty being able to look out over the golf course. They even left some of the furniture out with table cloths so that guests had places to sit and eat. The ballroom had more than enough room! We could have probably fit around 200 without it feeling cramped. The appetizers and entrees were all delicious! All of the guests were complimenting the food the whole night.
The cost of entrees at Royal Melbourne were very comparable to a lot of the venues in the Chicago suburbs. Mainly the differences come with taxes. Either way, it was worth every penny! Our wedding was absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't have asked for a more amazing place to host it. I wish I could live it over and over again!

My husband and I got married on April 6th of this year.
We set the date on January 8th of this year, and had only 88 days to plan our wedding based on availability of both the church and reception location.
We were so very fortunate to have our reception at the Royal Melbourne. The venue was so very beautiful. We had our cocktail hour in the library, overlooking the golf course and our reception in the ball room. Our guests were just amazed at how beautiful the venue was.
We are so very lucky to have been able to set a date with 88 days of notice for such a very beautiful place. We would have our reception at the Royal Melbourne again, without hesitation.

After my first tour at Royal Melbourne, I fell in love with the surroundings. We booked our reception there, and I am so glad that we did! The experience was perfect. The staff was very responsive and helpful. They worked closely with us and met with us a few different times so that we could develop the floor plan and create the best timeline for the evening. All of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was. The ballroom was gorgeous, and our guests had comfortable chairs at their tables. The bridal party had a separate space for storing belongings, and they kept our gifts locked up for us once all the guests had arrived. The staff worked well with our other vendors, and they helped us to incorporate family traditions in our reception. My only complaint was that the food was better at the tasting than at the actual reception. My chicken was a little dry, which may be due to the number of people served. We tried 2-3 entrees at the tasting, but we served about 100 people at the reception. The chef was able to accommodate our guests’ special needs related to food allergies, gluten free, and vegetarian entrees. Overall, our reception turned out better than we imagined, and we had the time of our lives!

I was one of the unlucky brides who contracted with the Country Squire, only to be informed a few months before my wedding that they went out of business. Little did I know at the time that this was the best thing that could happen to me! Donna, Pascal and the rest of the staff at Royal Melbourne went out of their way to ensure that my wedding day was perfect and stress free. Working with Donna was like having a wedding planner – she knew the details I was forgetting, gave her suggestions when I asked for them and let me create my vision when I didn’t! Since I was planning my wedding from out of town AND didn’t contract with them until just a couple months before the wedding, their flexibility in scheduling my tasting and walkthroughs of the venue was paramount. Even the most organized of brides get overwhelmed the few weeks before the wedding with all the details that have to come together, and Donna not only helped keep me on track, but was understanding when I had to be a little late on something. The day of, my parents, husband and I expected details to be forgotten, and were pleasantly surprised when it went off without a hitch. Even on a scorching, record breaking heat day the guests couldn’t stop raving about the outdoor setting and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was comfortable – even suggesting a different route to get guests outside so they could stop by a water cooler on the way. As if that’s not enough, even after realizing that the Pascal had all of the details of the reception covered, we had a guest arrive after dinner and cake had been served. Since she slipped in, unbeknownst to me even, my dad assumed Pascal would miss her and went over to ensure she was served dinner, but Pascal was already on top of it and she was served before my dad got there. Unparalleled service would be an understatement, and I would recommend Royal Melbourne to anyone.
