Absolutely an amazing venue. The setting is gorgeous and only surpassed by the service and attention to deal the staff has. The food was amazing and the communication was top notch. It was a wonderful day! Their wedding shadow was so wonderful, anything the bride or groom needed was immediately taken care of, drinks, running things back to the room etc. Truly a magical place.
Beautiful and romantic. This venue especially comes alive at night. My daugher and son-in-law were just married there (March 2023). It was a gorgeous wedding and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating.
Royal Palms was our dream venue. Everything about it is elegant. Our wedding was only 100 people and RP was the perfect, intimate setting for our perfect day. As an out of state bride, it was so relieving to have such an excellent team at the Palms to make sure everything came together. Even in late December, no one was cold eating outside past 6 pm because they have space heaters. Their updated ballrooms are gorgeous for late night dancing. Every aspect of how I wanted the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and late night dancing was carried out exactly how I specified it. Truly impressive.
But let me tell you about the FOOD. This was not wedding food, this was high end restaurant quality I cant believe I am eating this type food. Nearly every single guest raved about the apps, the drinks, the late night snacks and the dinner.
Our suite was so beautiful and they even decorated it the night of our wedding. We enjoyed a relaxing day at the spa the next day. Every person we came into contact with at RP was so helpful and so willing to make sure our experience was excellent, especially our on site coordinator Sarah Spain.
We absolutely cannot wait to come back to the Palms for years to come to celebrate our anniversary. The magic of Royal Palms never wears off.
I cannot recommend this beautiful resort enough for your wedding! This was our dream wedding venue and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience throughout the entire planning process or more thrilled with our wedding weekend!
From the first time we stepped foot on the property while we were touring venues, we instantly fell in love. They greeted us with a glass of champagne and everyone we met was full of friendly smiles. The property’s beauty speaks for itself with lush greenery and flowers and fireplaces lit in the fall (which is when our wedding was). We got our contract together and went to planning! We worked with Emily who is so kind and professional and I can’t praise her enough! The tasting was such a memorable experience. My parents flew in town for it and we had the best time. We tasted the wines, the hor de vours, salads, entrees and cakes and the food was absolutely delicious it was so hard to choose. Not only was the food delicious, the serving sizes are so large, you know your wedding guests will not leave hungry!
The wedding weekend itself was a dream. All the guests who checked into their rooms were greeted with champagne and our wedding went off without a hitch all thanks to the amazing staff at the Royal Palms. Everything provided by the Royal Palms was setup quickly and perfectly of course! They also provided my groom and I a “shadow” who stayed with us after the ceremony throughout the night to make sure we had water, a cocktail, if we needed food, etc… which was so amazing! She was so fantastic. The catering was so delicious just like the tasting and serving sizes so large. Everyone raved about the food! The catering staff was amazing and always made sure everyone had water and wine and no one ever went without! I wanted my guests to feel spoiled and the Royal Palms spoiled us all! I also have to mention the venue itself is so beautiful that my photographer and videographer LOVED it because you can’t take a bad picture there. Everywhere is a gorgeous backdrop and it’s the best memories of our life.
When we went back to our honeymoon suite, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a card from the resort staff congratulating us and it was so sweet! We popped it open and enjoyed it. It was personally a great memory popping it open in my wedding dress with my new husband in our gorgeous honeymoon suite.
We also treated ourselves room service breakfast then a spa day at the Alvadore Spa the morning after our wedding and it was the best spa experience EVER! I truly can’t recommend the Citrus Ritual enough! We will be back.
The Royal Palms truly holds such a special place in our hearts now. Our wedding was magical and a real-life fairytale thanks the amazing staff and team at the resort and we look forward to celebrating our anniversaries there and many date nights and cocktail hours at T Cooks ahead! Royal Palms, thank you for the best time of our life! FIVE STARS, FIVE DIAMONDS, FIVE EVERYTHING!!!!
We loved the Royal Palms! My husband and I toured 10 venues in 3 days while we were home in AZ for the holidays, and nothing really fit our vision for our wedding until we booked a last-minute appointment to tour the Royal Palms. We walked in, and just KNEW this was it. We got married in the gorgeous and intimate Alegria Garden, had dinner in the Orange Grove, and danced the night away in the Palmera Ballroom - which just happened to match the colors we'd chosen! Tami and her team were so helpful, answering any questions we had, and oh my goodness was the food amazing!! My husband and I are both huge foodies, and our biggest concern was having amazing food for our guests. We were not disappointed. Our tasting was one of our favorite days during the planning process, and afterwards we kept saying, "You can't go wrong with any of the choices!" The hors d'oeuvres were delicious, the main entrees were some of the best chicken and beef I have ever had in my life, and our wedding cake was so moist and flavorful. We were so happy! I'd also highly recommend the prickly pear margaritas - so good! Our guests raved about the location and the food all night, with almost every single person saying it was the most beautiful venue they'd ever been to and that the food was the best they'd ever had. One of the best parts- I actually got to eat! Our wedding shadow was waiting for us with a tray of hors d'oeurves after the ceremony, and while we were working the room during dinner, came to gather us when our entrees were served. The room they included for my husband and I in our package was spacious and luxurious, and when we came in after our wedding there was champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries waiting. From the event team, to the front desk, to the valet, this venue will take care of you! I was so happy, and my husband and I kept saying afterwards that it could not have gone any better. Get ready for the best wedding ever!!
Not to sound corny but this is the venue you pick if you want the Fairy-tale wedding of your dreams! I'm not sure why the Knot states this is moderately prices because no venue in this area is. At the end of the day you could potentially be spending 90k for the entire wedding, but that's basically the cost of any resort and great vendors in this area so no surprise there! The thing about resorts in Phoenix and Scottsdale is the 35%+ service resort and sales tax that you have to pay. But you get a great team and the best views in the state so any cost is worth it. This wasn't for my wedding, but I will definitely be looking here when I do get married.
Such an amazing venue! Absolutely one of a kind with a beautiful Tuscan feel. However this is not a "moderately priced" venue like the Knot suggests. If you have your wedding here you will easily be spending $60,000 for an average sized wedding before decorating. Unfortunately the service fee is 26% and then you also have to add on the sales tax, so at $195 a person for an above basic level option you're also paying about 10k in fees and taxes. This isn't a problem with the venue, but the Knot should really update their site as they have no option for only $160 a person like they suggest. They charge a 4500 ceremony fee and they also charge a 750 reception fee as well I believe on top of the food and drink minimum. However in the end this venue is definitely worth it as nothing else really compares!
Everything I have always dreamed of! There is no where else I would ever want to get married. The property is so beautiful and romantic; it makes me never want to leave. The food was spectacular! From the hors d'oeuvres, to the dinner, to the cake-it all was fabulous. Nora was incredible to work with. She was there for me every step of the way and was always happy to answer all of my questions. Christy, my shadow, was also phenomenal. Every staff member is always so courteous and goes over and beyond expectations. I can't imagine my wedding day being any more perfect than what it was at the Royal Palms! I wish I could relive this day over and over again!
I don't have enough great things to say about Nora and the team at Royal Palms. Our entire day was executed to perfection. The staff was attentive and helpful without being overbearing. This is one of the most beautiful wedding venues with the most incredible people working behind the scenes!
This resort is so beautiful! Our guests raved about the food, service, and the beauty of the property. They worked with us to accommodate what we wanted and allowed us to accommodate guests with food allergies.
Royal Palms was a dream venue for our wedding. We knew from the moment we stepped foot on the property that we wanted to spend our special day there. Royal Palms is unlike any venue in the Phoenix area; the grounds are beautiful, the staff is unbelievably attentive and accommodating, and the overall value far outweighs anything in the area. Our wedding contact, Emily, helped us through every step of the process and consistently went out of her way to make sure our special day went smoothly. We were so thankful to be teamed up with such a professional and friendly person!
If there is one piece of advice we would pass on, it's ask a lot questions (especially when it comes to pricing and what's included in that pricing) and make sure to get everything in writing. Although we had a few misunderstandings and late surprises in that regard (none of which were Emily's fault), Royal Palms more than made up for it on the weekend of the wedding - the food was delicious, the room we were upgraded to was unreal, and the ambiance they created throughout the weekend was unforgettable. If you're looking for an experience for you and your guests, not just a venue, Royal Palms is the place!
Wow - what a weekend! We could not be happier! The Royal Palms was the perfect place to have our wedding weekend! Penny and Joan were AMAZING to work with and everyone on their team made our weekend extremely special. From the rehearsal dinner, black tie ceremony, reception and pool party on Sunday - they exceeded our expectation on every level. We chose the Royal Palms for it's casual elegance and that's exactly what we got and more! The food was outstanding and they way the team anticipated every one of our needs was amazing! We cannot thank the Royal Palms enough and would do it over again with them and not change one thing!

So why is this review not 5 stars??...because you need to make sure that anything you agree with the Royal Palms, or any venue for that matter, is in WRITING. There can be a changing of the guard, there can be people who are let go...make sure you get everything in writing cause we ended up encountering issues with the room we had, and also some other details...but everything we had an issue with wasn't written down...and we encountered some issues with the responsiveness when we started encountering the problems.
That being said, the day of our ceremony the Royal Palms more than made up for the mishaps and exceeded our wildest dreams. Our captain, JD, and our shadow, Rachel, took care of EVERYTHING that day and coordinated with our wedding day coordinator to the point that we didn't have to do anything that day. Everybody in our wedding left the reception full and exhausted from the amazing party we had.
You won't find a better venue for a ceremony than the Allegra garden at the Royal Palms. Make sure you don't exceed 120 people and you'll be able to marry in an area that everybody in our wedding kept raving about. Plus, it doesn't feel like Arizona at all...there's no outside noise from roads or neighbors...it's just beyond anything you'll see in Arizona.
The Estrella room would not have a big dance floor with 9 to 10 tables, but you can still have one if you do what we did and had 2 large rows of seating and then one row of seats along the short wall, basically a U shape around the dance floor. Everyone loved the family style seating and the Royal Palms worked with us to make sure we got our big dance floor.
The food was brunch food cause we went outside the norm and had a brunch reception versus dinner reception. Everyone loved the food, but most of all it almost cost us half the price...partially also because we did a Sunday brunch wedding versus a Saturday dinner...something to consider if you're trying to save your pennies
Royal Palms has such beautiful grounds that I was able to keep decorating to a minimum and keep things simple, while still having a stunning wedding! It mixed my husband's love for the Arcadia area (where he grew up) with my love for Camelback Mountain and desert fauna (I grew up on the north side of the mountain).
The experience lives up to the expectation set in its name. I was lucky enough to have my wedding at the Royal Palms and must say that the experience from start to finish was spectacular. The staff is very organized. Set against the backdrop of Camelback Mountain, the setting is simply stunning. We had our wedding reception in the Estrella Room with the cocktail hour in the courtyard in front of the room.
Before getting married here, I was told by anyone I spoke to that the wedding food is by far the best they've ever had anywhere else. I completely agree with the statement. The food is a culinary masterpiece. It doesn't taste like your typical catered food. It tastes like the food they serve in their fine dining restaurant. Everything you eat, down to the bread and pesto dip is extraordinary.
The service is about as extraordinary as the food. Each bride and groom gets a "shadow" for the wedding day. The shadow followed us around while we took pictures and throughout the whole night and made sure we had cocktails, food and any other help throughout the night. She even helped me in the bathroom with my large wedding dress!
I will end this review by saying that "you get what you pay for" and while the Royal Palms is on the pricier end, it's worth every penny and they make sure they work for their money. Everyone is kind and helpful and I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else.
The Royal Palms Resort & Spa is a gorgeous resort. All of our guests stayed at the resort and thought it was beautiful. They all enjoyed their stay and several couples plan to go back. As far as the ceremony site and reception go I would have to say everything was perfect. The pictures at the ceremony site were incredible due to the backdrop of the Allegria garden. The reception was perfect. The Cervantes room accommodated our group of just 22. We were able to have the dinner at one long table so we could see and talk to everyone. We had the filet and it was incredible. We loved how helpful the staff was. They made us feel so special on our wedding day! We can't wait to go back for our anniversary. It was a very romantic resort to get married at.
I had wanted to get married at the Royal Palms before I got engaged and thought it would be way too expensive. But, what do you know it was so reasonable and they were so accommodating and professional. The food was amazing and the service too. Such an intimate and beautiful setting.
The hotel has very old world charm. THe wait staff is fantastic.;It is a small property, they may book more than one wedding at the same time in a different area. The weddings may be competing for spaced such as cocktail sites and can get confusing for valet parking.
