Unfortunately, NY state has recently enacted some very strict DOT regulations that began being implemented as of 12/31/2017. These laws have effected our ability to travel outside of NY State and thus caused us to cancel 2 reservations that we had outside of New York. You booked your transportation with us on January 8th of 2018. We found out from our insurance company that we could no longer meet the requirements set forth by the US DOT in February (when our insurance policy is set to be renewed). We called and advised your fiancé on 02/08/18 exactly one month to the date that you booked. This is something that we have never had to do for a wedding, but unfortunately was out of our control. When you called back a few weeks later we did receive your message but the only number on file for your reservation was for your fiancé who booked the reservation. We did return the call on that phone number. After you called again and spoke to our manager we once again explained the situation and tried to look for a trolley locally for you but had no luck. There simply is no other trolley company anywhere near our area. While I completely understand your frustration, this was the only choice we had other than risk stranding your party on the day of service. We very rarely traveled outside of NY state in our DOT vehicles in the past and did not foresee the changes impacting us the way it did. We are a family owned and operated business and we take tremendous pride in our service. As you can see from all our positive reviews over the years this is not something we are accustomed to.
