Russo's was very communicative, accommodating, and overall easy to work with! We had several of our guests compliment the food, because it really was fantastic! I would highly recommend Russo's to anyone catering.

Abbey helped us throughout our planning process and she was so great to work with! We did a buffet and the food was so delicious. We got a lot of compliments on the food. We ended up doing a dessert table which our guests enjoyed and then we had a small cake for us to cut! It was so nice to be able to do dinner/cake/desserts all with the same vendor. I would highly recommend booking Russo’s!

We worked with Abbey for our wedding and she was fantastic! She was responsive whenever we needed her and super helpful. The food was also delicious and we even had people ask us where the cake was from so they could order some! The onsite staff was also professional and very helpful. Would recommend!

Our guests were very impressed. On top of that, they were affordable without compromising on quality. Russos catered our wedding at the McPherson Wedding Venue and was amazing! We did a package deal that included Food, Cake and Bar and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. The staff were so friendly and helpful during our wedding. The food was delicious, and our guests raved about it all night! The cake looked beautiful and was also delicious! One highlight for us was our Catering Contact. Emily was great to work with and was very responsive throughout the planning process. Any questions I had she answered within 48 hours and she gave us any advice we needed. Highly recommend Russos for any event!

Russo's catered our reception at The Main Street Abbey. We opted for buffet stations (tacos, sliders, and carving station). Every single item was outstanding! I received so many compliments from guests (notably the coleslaw, sliders, and veggie fajitas). The staff was absolutely amazing!! My guests commented how they were never in your way, but somehow were always right there if you needed something. They were so kind to me and my husband, making sure we had everything we needed, and going out of their way to check in on us throughout dinner. We also added gourmet cookies (so good), and late night snacks (t-ravs and soft pretzels) which were a HUGE hit. One guest even said they wanted to call and see if they could purchase the t-ravs direct from Russo's!! I have zero complaints and want to thank everyone at Russo's (our planner, Abbey, and all the day-of staff) for helping make this day absolutely perfect. 100/10 would recommend!!!!!

Russo's rocks!!! The entire evening was fantastic! The food was phenomenal and we heard that from EVERYONE!!! They are an absolute joy to work with and I hope to work together again someday!!! It was all over the top -The food, the service, the bar and all the set up that they did for us - fabulous!

I had to use Russo’s due to where I had my venue and their agreement. I don’t regret my decision one bit! I worked with Emily Otto and she was always on top of it. She helped plan out timelines and answered so many emails. She was always easy to get a hold of when in need. I would use them again.

Although we were pleased with the taste and presentation of the food, the planning process with this company was difficult. There was a lack of communication between the staff and myself, often going weeks in between getting responses or getting none at all. There was a lot of last minute back and forth days before the wedding due to the limited communication, which was incredibly frustrating. For the prices of the services and food, the planning and communication needs to be improved.

Russo’s went above and beyond at my wedding and I am so grateful to them! They not only catered to the wedding, they made sure to take care of my husband and I by making an appetizer plate, cake plate, and bringing us drinks! They were so kind and professional! And if that’s not enough, their food was outstanding! Wedding guests are still telling me how impressed they were at the food and cake! Highly recommend!

Russo’s Catering was an excellent choice for our wedding and seamlessly provided food and drink service with care and professionalism. Russo’s provides a tasting day for prospective catering clients, which unfortunately we had to miss due to schedule constraints. However, in our phone calls and in-person conversations, Emily Otto helped us walk through details large and small, and listened to our thoughts and gave helpful suggestions when needed. On the day of our wedding, Russo’s staff comprising of bartenders, bus staff, and buffet managers were thorough and professional. It was a such relief to know that our food and drink needs were fully handled, allowing us to be able to be fully present for our big day. A special shout-out for the staff member escorted my wife’s food and drinks to the table for her. This small detail alone solidified that our choice to book Russo’s was a good one. Now, onto the food! Friends and family alike raved about the buffet choices for weeks after the wedding. The food was fresh and delicious; the buffet offered enough variety to sample many dishes. Our guests with allergy needs were attended to with care and were provided excellent substitutions that were carefully considered and not just extra sides from the buffet. The cake that came with our wedding package was absolutely stunning and each flavor was a hit with our guests and wedding party. Finally, the bartenders were attentive and flexible for the venue which had multiple locations to serve which all flowed seamlessly. Please consider booking Russo’s catering for the important event in your life. Their attentiveness and delicious dishes will allow you to be fully present knowing that you are supported by professionals.

Russo's is the exclusive caterer of the wedding venue we chose (McPherson) and we were very pleased to use them. They were a one stop shop for many things for our wedding including linens, tables, dinnerware, bar service, food, and the cake. We chose the simple elegance food package which includes a plated salad and buffet for the meal, bar, and cake. I have never seen the plated salad with a buffet before and really loved that our guests were able to have their salad while waiting to go to the buffet. The food was very good and the cake was AMAZING. So many people commented on how delicious the cake was. When choosing your food and other details you are able to choose a tiered cake design from a book of 10-12 simple designs at no extra cost, which we loved! We got a 4 tiered cake with every tier being a different flavor. The only extra fees aside from the initailly stated cost per person was an extra $2/person to extend the bar for 30 minutes and an extra $10 per vegetarian meal since we did not choose any vegetarian entrees. Other than that there are other extras that you can add but can easily get by without added fees. Every Russo's event is assigned a coordinator and Abbey was very responsive and accommodating with some last minute room arrangement changes. Overall, a very reasonable price for the quality and all that you get with using them.

the prices are insane and the food wasn't even that good. the lady we initially dealt with (sherry) was impossible to communicate with, she wouldn't respond for weeks and even after a follow up email. the sampling dinner was fine, not much of a variety and we didn't even get to sample the stuff we were having for our night. luckily, we were handed off to Abbey, if we weren't, we would probably give this place 1 star

Russo's was absolutely incredible!! They were available for all of our questions and very professional. The food was incredible and the cake was BEAUTIFUL! Their service at the dinner was impeccable! We got so many compliments on the food and service. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!

The food was perfect for my wedding! We had a buffet station style of three different stations and everyone was complementing how good the food was! The CAKE WAS AMAZING!!!

Everyone at our wedding was RAVING about the food and saying it was the best wedding food they have had. We got the passed appetizers at cocktail hour and those were a huge hit! We also did the stations menu and everyone loved how many options there were. The late night snack was also delicious. They do the wedding cake as well and even box up a separate cake for the newlyweds to take. The only slight con was that during the planning process it took a long time to receive email responses, but once it was wedding week everything was very timely, so it all worked out!

The food is absolutely amazing! I had several guests tell me it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. They also do the cake which is a great added bonus. Would definitely recommend them for any event!

We recently used Russo’s catering for our wedding in October of 2023. We originally were working with Sherry and we were not having a positive experience but after she resigned & Emily took over our experience dramatically shifted for the better. Emily was very attentive and responsive with all the details for our day. She had multiple phone meetings with us to ensure all the details for our day were perfect. The food was excellent and staff was very professional the day of! We chose stations instead of a plated or buffet dinner. I would say an option of the type of meal you plan to have would be nice for the trial instead of buffet only.

My husband and I used Russo's as our caterer at the McPherson this fall. We would not recommend Russo's due to having a very frustrating time communicating with them throughout the whole process. 1. It often took over 5 days, sometimes over 2 weeks, to get any email response. The DJ, officiant, photographer relies on scheduling information only the caterer can provide, so having these delays was really frustrating. 2. Russo's staff will never reach out to you to schedule a meeting. Even though it says in the contract that a meeting should be had 2-3 months before your wedding, you must be the one to reach out to them to schedule it. It took over a month between me asking for my meeting, and actually having the meeting due to their very delayed responses. 3. After the outdoor ceremony, the groom was suddenly told we couldn't use the main room until after cocktail hour (AKA not until 1.25 hours into our venue rental time). I can't find any reference to this being told to us in advance. Due to this last minute update 55 people suddenly got crammed into the indoor bar area after the outdoor ceremony. We had to shout to the crowd to go back outside so we could actually gather people for photos. I'm still flabbergasted that we couldn't access the large room. I expected some air conditioned spaces close to the action so that grandparents could sit down. I'm glad we were not a larger wedding. 5. Only slightly annoying, but they wouldn't accept a personal cheque for our final payment. They initially asked that we hand-deliver a cashiers cheque in the week before the wedding. We just couldn't find time to visit the bank and drive to their office, so we had to ask about other payment methods. We ended up paying with credit card along with a 2.75% processing fee. 5. The day-of staff were all great. The food tasted great. To be clear, I don't think the above issues are due to incompetence in the staff. They were all very nice. I simply expect that the planning team is understaffed and spread thin. Our initial event planner quit halfway through and I expect our second planner got overloaded. I would not hire them again and may have chosen a different venue had I known how frustrating Russo's would be to work with as their exclusive caterer.

We had Russo’s cater our wedding reception and let me tell you, it was worth every penny!! We had it buffet style/ staffed event. There were four staff members that really went above and beyond for us!! All of our guests said it was the best wedding food they have had, and our cake was yummy and beautiful as well!! The China they used were perfect. I did not have to worry a single time about our dinner or the service that was provided. I would highly highly recommend Russos!!

Very disappointed! I regret hiring this caterer for my Daughter's wedding at Silver Lake Chateau in Pacific, MO. Sherry was our coordinator and her lack of attention to detail caused many issued on my daughter's special day. We decided to go with a plated meal, (would definately not recommend) . The food was served tepid, the sides were dry and bland. The cake, although tasty, did not look like the photo we submitted, and was not displayed on a cake stand. The charger plates for thevtabke setting and the chafing dishes for the evening snack were not delivered. Imaging having meetings and conversations about all the details for such an important event and then finding out that those details were not added to your order! AUGH!!

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Russo's to cater our rehearsal dinner, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! We did a "St Louis Themed" dinner with salad, toasted ravioli, and pizza. It was wonderful! They were also accommodating to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring that everyone had delicious options to enjoy. The service was great as well. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. They seamlessly handled all aspects of the event, allowing us to relax and enjoy the evening with our loved ones. If you're in need of a caterer that will impress your guests with incredible food, outstanding service, and attention to detail, I highly recommend Russo's. They are a fantastic team of professionals who will make your special event a memorable and delicious success!

Planning was smooth and easy. The staff was helpful, on time, and extremely professional.

Outstanding venue, many seating areas to choose from during our event; well thought-out dance floor area, great PA system, plenty of room for mingling but also a lot of secluded nooks if you wanted a quiet getaway from the noise and energy. Good variety of Menu packages to choose from; the staff paid very special attention to the smaller details which made all the difference for our guests, especially regarding the place settings and seating ergonomics; also I really liked the food and beverage services provided for the bridal party pre-ceremony. Lots of natural lighting made for a spacious feel throughout. Feedback from every one of our 250+ guests was overwhelmingly positive. Thanks to Mr Russo and his fine staff for making this a first-class event, the best one I ever attended.

Only dropped to 4 stars because we felt the tasting options could have been improved. We would have preferred being able to try a more personalized menu, closer to what we were wanting to serve. But beyond that, all the people we worked with here were amazing and helped ease a lot of stress from the day. Emily did a great job working with us and helping us get what we wanted, as well as communicating with all of our other vendors. The night of, Robin was fantastic and made sure my husband and I were fed and checked in with us multiple times throughout the night.

Russo's Catering did a great job for our wedding at Piazza Messina. Emily was our event coordinator and she did an outstanding job! I did not have to worry about anything on my wedding day because Emily and the team did such a great job. Even though we had a large guest list, dinner was served efficiently and everyone was able to eat in a timely manner. We received many compliments on both the food and cake at our wedding. Everything was delicious!! The Russos and all the staff at Piazza Messina truly care about making your event amazing.

The food was amazing! We worked with Courtney for all of our planning and she was super helpful. The day of the staff was all very nice and they checked in with us multiple times. My only regret is wishing I had more time to eat the appetizers !

We chose Russo’s from a field of 9 prospective caterers available at the Barnett on Washington in St Louis because their diverse menu was just right for our blended guests from the East Coast and the Mid West. Also, while booking during the pandemic , it was important to hire a company that had a long history with a great reputation. Russo’s worked seamlessly with the Barnett staff and all the food was delicious . Highlights included the Hickory Smoked Pork Roast and Eggplant Parmesan Napoleon. We were able to do a 4 appetizer cocktail hour and staffed buffet dinner with cake and 2 additional desserts for under $50 a person enabling us to stick to a reasonable budget for 86 guests.

Our food was amazing! Service was outstanding too!

While the food Russo’s served at our wedding was legitimately delicious, their service was incredibly disappointing. They were really understaffed for our event, showed up late, were 15-20 minutes late opening the bar during the cocktail hour, about 45 minutes late serving dinner, and were so stressed out at various times throughout the reception that they yelled at the groom, the mother of the bride, guests, and at one point cussed out a table that wasn’t unfolding properly. We paid extra for gluten free meals that went unserved (two guests got them on request, three others never did). We also paid extra for a keg of beer that was never made available to the guests (Russo’s says it was there, but the bartender said it wasn’t when asked night of). We’ve reached out to them about a refund on the extras that weren’t served, but they’ve been uncooperative.

I had my wedding at The McPherson where Russo’s is the exclusive caterer. We ended up doing the stations type menu and it was fabulous, there was something for everyone! We worked with Kathy throughout the planning process and she was super helpful. The week leading up to the wedding, I was an anxious mess (as I would guess a lot of brides are) and whenever I sent her an email, she replied back promptly and always eased my concerns. I don’t think I could have gotten through that week without her. Also, my guests loved the food and cake and are still talking about how great it was. The staff they provided for the night of the event were also amazing- everyone went above and beyond to be friendly and professional. I could not have asked for a better team.

Delicious dinner and wedding cake!! We received many complements on the food at our daughter’s wedding reception. And that cake was amazing! All of the Russo’s staff, from the event coordinator to the Team leads, wait staff and bartenders were professional, and friendly!! It was a very good experience overall.

Five star service and professional staff. Kathy Costello was terrific to work with and she knew her stuff! The event staff were terrific. One thing I’d change is to ask them to save us dessert! We missed that but all else was great!

We used Russo's for our rehearsal dinner at A. Casa and the food was amazing! Everything from the appetizers to deserts was perfect and the staff were great as well. Can't recommend Russo's enough!

Everyone at my wedding said it was some of the best food they had ever had! My husband was wishing away the cocktail hour because he was so excited for dinner! Russo's was so easy to work with, was clear in what they provided and easy to communicate with. Could not have asked for a better caterer!
