It's worth it to use Borrowed Blu level rentals. I got what I paid for with Rust & Luxe - hideous looking rentals that caused a fire hazard. Then I was surprised with additional charges, harassed with increasing invoice amounts and threatened with legal action and collections.
I rented goblets and candelabras. I used the candelabras as centerpieces at my wedding. Venues require glass covers for fire safety and Stephanie (R&L's owner) said they had them. She met me to show me all the items I rented, but didn't bring the glass covers. On my wedding day the covers didn't fit properly - a total eyesore. They are cylinders that don't attach. They were so ill-fitting and the candle sticks were also ill-fitting . They caused black smoke which guests were worried about. Candles had to be extinguished by the venue. We removed the glass altogether within the first hour.
THEN I get a mysterious invoice for an additional $250 after the wedding. No explanation so I inquire and I'm told that because the tables were unexpectedly moved during the ceremony the owner stayed to adjust the candelabras once tables were moved back. She didn't even style them with florals, so if they functioned properly, she wouldn't have needed to stay to make adjustments. Also, it was so unprofessional to send an invoice with no explanation after the fact.
I emailed feedback about how disappointing the candelabras were, they were a fire hazard, and that I don't recall approving extra time for Rust & Luxe that day. (and I or my mother were easily accessible upstairs in the venue all day). I said that I wasn't willing to pay more. Then I was harassed for two months with invoices, late fees, threats of collections, and eventually a threat they were getting a lawyer involved.
This "company" has absolutely NO pride in their product. Their unwillingness to compromise on the last, and totally unexpected invoice, leaves me to assume they really need the money. Also, the fact that there are no other reviews for them is interesting - either they have them removed, or no one uses them.
