We LOVED the food provided by Sage and Spice for our wedding. They nailed it right away - we requested everything that we were served exactly how it was during our food tasting. Our guests raved about the meal as well. Sage and Spice was great to work with. Very flexible and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

I am a wedding planner and was able to work with Sage & Spice on a wedding at JuneBug in Asheville and they were FANTASTIC. They were so on top of communication throughout the planning process, on wedding day they were on top of things and so efficient and the food was soooo good. Highly recommend!

I am eternally grateful for Tori and Sage and Spice after they catered our wedding. Tori is extremely accommodating, understanding, and kind. She helped me tremendously with planning exactly what I wanted. The food was delicious with many compliments from my guests. At the wedding, we were served food at our table even though it was a buffet, which I felt was such a special touch. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer!

Tori and her team were such a pleasure to work with. We had a 250-person wedding with a lot of dietary restrictions and Tori did not bat an eye. Tori was always easy to reach, responsive to our feedback, and accommodating of special requests and flexible when scheduling tastings. She set up a gorgeous spread of appetizers during our cocktail hour and helped us create a delicious, vegetarian dinner served buffet style. Even our meat-eating guests - who we thought might be grumpy about a vegetarian dinner - raved about the food!

Tori and her team at Sage and Spice were nothing short of incredible! From the beginning, they have always been super responsive and so easy to work with (not to mention the food was absolutely delicious but I could go on about that for days). They have endless options and are happy to tailor it to your needs. My husband’s aunt had several allergies and they were so good about accommodating that! I hope we can work with them again in the future, and highly recommend them!

We were so pleased with our experience with Sage & Spice at our wedding! Having Mexican food was a priority for us, and Tori and chef Amanda helped us create the perfect menu including barbacoa and chicken mole. We even had a churro bar! The food was absolutely delicious and we received so many comments from our guests about how good the dinner was. Tori was even waiting for us in the bridal suite after our ceremony with some cocktail hour snacks for us to munch on during our busy day. All of the Sage and Spice staff working throughout our wedding were super polite as well. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Working with Sage and Spice ended up being a disappointing and expensive disaster! For 9K I expected beverage service but that did not happen. As the bride myself and my guests could not even get water! I had asked Sage and Spice, both Tori the owner and Kelly the manager of my wedding reception, to come around with spring water which my fiancée and I had provided from Le Bleu to avoid lots of plastic bottles. I was also very clear we wanted them to ask guests if they would like red or white wine which we had provided on the tables and even bought our own ice buckets since they could not provide those or even salt and pepper shakers for the tables which we also had to buy ourselves. Instead they poured our white wine to everyone indiscriminately before we sat down, even to those of us who were not drinking wine and to those who we’ve recently sober or had years of sobriety! How inappropriate! They wasted our wine and did not do what they had agreed to do in discussions ahead of time multiple times. They also did not replace the empty sparkling water bottle on each table as I had instructed which was the only water the guests had to drink. Not only that but they took away my water goblet so I was unable to even go get more water myself from a dispenser we had provided and I ended up having to go to the bar myself after asking the wait staff multiple times for water which I did not receive and get a sparkling bottle which we had bought and provided and having to drink directly out of the bottle because all of the nice water goblets I had rented had been taken away from me and other guests. I could go on. They did not save the top tier of our cake which we were supposed to take home for our anniversary and they told us they were boxing up the extra food for us from guests who canceled last minute and then they gave that food away without telling us so we were looking for it at the end of the night. Tori told me they could provide a bartender before we signed the contract and then changed her mind about that later after we signed the contract. We hired our own craft cocktail bartenders and Tori tried to say that the bartenders should be the ones serving the wine and not the servers which seemed ridiculous to me. Sage and Spice did not keep their agreements. Tori the owner was difficult to get a hold of and kept putting different people in charge of our wedding and not communicating information to them that I had to keep giving over and over to different people. Tori the owner of Sage and Spice started a new business right before our wedding and also went out of town for a couple of weeks around our wedding and left Kelly in charge who seemed incompetent to communicate our needs and manage things at our wedding. When we complained we were told by Kelly it was our fault for not managing everything at our own reception. That’s why we paid 9K because we thought we were hiring professionals who we could tell in advance what we wanted and they could manage it for us at our reception? Tori made lots of excuses including blaming the venue and my mom! Rather than take any responsibility. So overall although the food was pretty good and came out quickly I’m really disappointed with my experience with Sage and Spice and working with them was extremely stressful and not a positive experience for us.

I got married in August 2023, and I am so thrilled that I worked with Tori and Sage & Spice Catering for our food! Not only did Tori perfectly understand the kind of food I wanted, but she helped me through the entire process and answered all my questions about what I would need in terms of rentals, plates, etc. Tori was also super understanding of food allergies and restrictions and helped all of our guests, including myself, have plenty of delicious food to eat regardless of dietary needs. We seriously got so many compliments from our guests about how great the cocktail hour and reception food was! Tori and her staff were also amazing day of and made sure my husband and I got plenty of food and had leftovers too! Overall, I had a fantastic experience working with Tori and the rest of the Sage & Spice Catering team, and I definitely recommend them if you’re looking for an awesome caterer in the Asheville area!

We are so happy we chose sage and spice for our catering! They were easy to work with, provided great suggestions, and the food was great on our wedding day! Everyone commented how they were so impressed that the plates meals all came out hot and how good the food was! The presentation of the food was beautiful and exactly how we asked! We would absolutely recommend them!

I not only had the pleasure of working with Tori as my caterer but also my wedding planner. My fiance and I wanted delicious food at our wedding and were playing around with multiple styles and options but had a hard time making a cohesive menu. Tori gave us great suggestions and a curated menu based upon our favorite foods and budget constraints. She is great at making a menu that is unique to you and we loved that! We went through a few changes to our menu since the initial contract, and Tori & team were very accommodating throughout the whole process. We couldn't have done it without her! They catered our rehearsal dinner as well as our reception and our guests keep raving about how delicious the food was! HIGHLY recommend Tori & Carrasco Catering - they will help bring your vision to life one yummy dish at a time :)

We are so happy to have hired Carrasco Catering for our wedding! With regards to the planning process -- Tori is VERY responsive and was quick to offer options for flexibility and variety for our two-day Indian/Brazilian/American wedding. Our wedding was in the Nantahala forest (about 1.5 hours from Asheville), which created some additional logistical issues for the catering staff, but Tori was on top of it and very reassuring that it could be done. There were a couple snafus that were quickly resolved by Tori and our planner (items not included in the catering kitchen at our venue that we needed), so it was all pretty smooth on our end! About the food -- Ricardo is an excellent and very creative chef! We had so much fun at our tasting and appreciated his pairings and suggestions. The food at the actual wedding was spectacular and our guests really enjoyed it as well! We had an Italian menu for the first night and a Latin menu for the second night, including churros filled with dulce de leche (A HUGE HIT!). The food was just as flavorful as in the tastings and served hot (something that hasn’t happened at other weddings I’ve attended). Finally, the staff were SO kind to us -- bringing us plates of food and checking on us regularly. I’ve heard horror stories of the bride and groom not eating, and Carrasco was a huge help at making sure we ate everything we wanted!! Our venue also commented that the kitchen area looked great afterwards, which helped us in keeping our deposit. We would absolutely recommend Carrasco Catering!!

Carrasco Catering was absolutely awesome to work with! After tasting multiple vendors, we hired them for not only our wedding but for our rehearsal dinner too! They put together an entirely separate menu for the two events and even made space for us to rehearse at the same place where we had dinner (our venue wasn't available). The food is inventive, sophisticated, and most importantly, delicious! They do a great job of serving large groups and the food still tastes good when the last folks are served. Tori was amazing with communication and they were super flexible when it came to deciding on our menus and timing. I would highly recommend them!!!

Carrasco is fantastic! Tori was an angel from start to finish. The food is amazing, of course, but Tori went above and beyond to help with planning and suggested things that made the wedding so much better. Their staff is phenomenal. They brought us a tray of hors d’oeuvres while we were getting our photos done during cocktail hour and that was a GODSEND because my husband was most excited for the bruschetta and tomato/mozz skewers. He devoured the tray and we avoided a hangry crisis. Everyone loved the food and again, their staff made sure to bring us plates (you really do forget to slow down and eat on your wedding day, and as Tori promised, they made sure we were nourished). 10/10 would hire again. THANK YOUUU!!!

Food was amazing from what I heard from guests and our vendors haha as the bride, we barely got a chance to eat any due to a crunched timeline but we got to eat our faces off at our tasting (hence we hired them). We also each had a doggie bag to eat the day after which was fun to relive our wedding day. Tori was super sweet in all of our communications. Thanks guys!

Mouth watering food The whole team has an incredible talent for the culinary arts! Tori is a charcuterie wizard and Ricardo is a food genius! Everything was absolutely delicious and they were so sweet and easy to work with. I highly recommend this catering team! We had the best chicken cordon Bleu, mac and cheese and mixed veggies with steak! The chicken and mac and cheese was my absolute fave! Everything was served at the perfect temperature too❤ Also, you NEED the corn shooters for your cocktail hour!

My daughter’s wedding was a destination wedding in NC so I had to do a lot of research to find a caterer. Due to covid we could not fly up for the taste testing so I needed to solely rely on reviews. After reading great reviews and speaking with Tori we decided to go with Carrasco. Tori was super sweet through the whole process and easy to work with. The experience was pleasant up to the day of the wedding. The chef we received was very disappointing and the food was not good at all. The pork was cold, mac n cheese was runny, potatoes were dry and flavorless, the rest of food was just ok. The servers were also lost, which seemed from lack of direction. During cocktail hour they were supposed to walk around with trays to serve our guests, instead they set the trays on a table and walked away. Water and tea were to be poured during dinner, instead it was put in containers and set on a table. I just don’t believe they received the direction they needed. The experience was extremely disappointing and shocking.

Tori and Ricardo are AMAZING! They were diligent, responsive, and professional since day one. Hand down the BEST chips and salsa. After going tasting, I couldn’t stop telling people how excited I was for wedding day because I wanted to eat chips again. Food was amazing, all of our guest loved the food. They definitely do their work with love and passion and it’s unseen! Highly recommended!

Carrasco Catering recently hosted a welcome dinner for our daughter & son-in-law’s wedding in Asheville, NC. Tori was such a joy to work with every step of the way and was very patient with us as we struggled to decide on the perfect format for the event. We finally decided on a short, but very sweet cocktail and hors d’oeuvre party at their restaurant, Polanco, and what a wonderful time we all had! Owner/chef Ricardo came up with a menu of delicious & creative appetizers that were perfect for a mix and mingle party and were complemented by a fine selection of house wines and beers and their excellent house made margaritas! We look forward to visiting Asheville again when the COVID crisis is over and their restaurant reopens so we can enjoy a full fare of authentic Mexican cuisine. Thank you for getting our destination wedding weekend off to a perfect start!

Tori and Ricardo were absolutely incredible. We were lucky enough to have Carrasco Catering handle both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. Not only was the food incredible, but the staff was an absolute joy to work with. Weddings are always stressful to plan, and the current Covid situation made it even more crazy. But Tori was there every step of the way and was extremely flexible as our guest count continued to change up until the very last day. Her positive attitude and helpfulness leading to and on our wedding day is appreciated more than she will ever know. You will NOT be disappointed with Carrasco Catering, I can promise you that!

o Tori and Ricardo were a dream come true! When my matron of honor and I went up for a tasting; I explained our situation with our budget after a snafu with our first venue, as well as what I had on my “dream” board for our wedding, and they absolutely delivered. They blew away my expectations with what I was needing for the wedding (an option that was vegan & gf) as well as keeping “in theme” with the Vikings/Game of Thrones inspired wedding we had envisioned. They worked with me every step of the way with budget and options, and were super up front about menus and prices. Day of – Tori brought some of the crostini’s with jam & basil (SO GOOD!!) and chips/salsa to the bridal suite to make sure that not only myself, but my entire bridal party was taken care of because she “didn’t believe in letting the bride go hungry” (which was much appreciated!!!) She made sure that my new husband and I were served first (something else we weren’t expecting! 😊) and kept everything with the buffet running smoothly. At the end of the night, her team made sure that all of the remaining food was packaged up and given so that we were able to take it back to our AirBNB for day-after munchies on the road! The ribs were loved by all the guests, and their vegan mole was absolutely to die for. I still have people coming up and telling me how awesome the food was, and that it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding in a long time. The sides complimented both dishes fantastically, and I can’t wait until we go up to Asheville next so we can stop into their restaurant and say hello!

As I was assisting my daughter with planning her wedding catering became a major issue and priority. As the wedding date was rapidly approaching and we had not secured a caterer nor a menu. I stumbled upon Carrasco Catering via a search engine. Tori responded almost immediately and began assisting and educating this MOB. She offered valuable information from food and beverages to paper products and budget! We scheduled a date to visit the restaurant and sample a variety of entrees. Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable and offered his expertise. Tori was by our side to answer any additional questions. The day of the wedding was a whirlwind. Ricardo arrived at the venue, took charge of set up and presentation. He was very attentive; making sure that I had an opportunity to eat. He personally served me, even after declined his offer. Everything turned out wonderful ! I would recommend Carrasco Catering (Team Tori and Ricardo) for your event.

We met Tori and Ricardo through a recommendation and I am so glad we did. Carrasco catering worked with in our budget and produced an amazing menu with options for all our guests. The food was wonderful especially the steak, loved the prunes and bacon (my best) and corn shooters were something different and a great hit! Ricardo you ROCK! What sets this team apart from anything I have experienced before is their personal touch. You get so much more than caterers. On the day Tori was exceptional! We quickly had a change of plans when it began to rain and Tori shuffled the venue and her catering team to make it seamless, she was so accommodating and lighthearted! During our photo’s after the service, Tori had a hot plate of starters at the car for the bridal party (It was freezing as so appreciated!). Once we arrived back to join our guests, Tori personally looked after the bridal party and then created a steady controlled flow of our guests to the buffet area. Everything went like clockwork and we had an amazing wedding! We highly recommend Tori and Ricardo for any special event you have, especially a wedding. They are professional but give a warm family feel the way they conduct their business. Tori, I still have you in my phone as “Tori – my wedding goddess”, you were AWESOME!

Tori, Ricardo, and the rest of the Carrasco Catering staff were exceptional! First and foremost, Tori made everything super easy on us-- she paid excellent attention to details and deadlines so that we didn't have to. Also, Tori made the process of planning our reception dinner super easy and fun, setting up a time for us to meet and sample a number of Ricardo's dishes to determine what we wanted. Leading up to, and on the day of, the event, Tori was even more helpful and on top of it! She confirmed all the details of our dinner far in advance, including the need for a grill rental (which she then took care of), and made sure to put in place a timeline for the dinner, speeches, etc. so that everyone was on the same page. Lastly, our food was sensational!! We cannot thank Ricardo enough for his efforts, he is a great chef and strived to create exactly what we wanted. Again, Tori and her whole team were absolutely wonderful to work with and we would recommend Carrasco Catering to anyone having a special event in the Asheville area!
