(4/8/17) After reading great reviews, I booked an appointment with Tisa at Sage Fine Flowers. We had a great meeting, and I felt confident in her communication and abilities.
Unlike many of the other reviewers on here, I was extremely disappoi...nted with the outcome. When I met with Tisa I explained to her that my 2 favorite flowers were peonies and roses. Naturally, I wanted those to be prominent. Additionally, we requested a large vine cascading down from the ceiling of a tall tent, wrapped around an existing curtain. I provided Tisa with pictures of what I wanted.
On the wedding day, Tisa delivered and set up flowers without checking in with me at all. I was shocked to find a number of problems. First and foremost was the total lack of peonies in my bouquet. I think perhaps there was 1 actual peony. She had substituted ranunculus, instead. These are a cheaper flower, with a similar look, but not at all what I desired or paid for. I called Tisa immediately and she offered to return to the venue. When I spoke to her about the bouquet, she had little to offer me in terms of solutions. She gave many excuses about how this was a bad season for peonies. She offered to pull the peony out of the bouquet so it was more visible. I understand that Tisa has no control over what type of season there was for peonies, but I was dismayed that she had not attempted to contact me prior to the wedding to let me know that, and come up with a better solution. Within 2 hours the flowers that had been delivered and kept in water in a cool room were already wilting. My bridesmaids and I were hurriedly cutting wilted flowers out of our bouquets before walking down the aisle.
Back to that large cascading vine we paid for. What Tisa provided looked more like bunches of hay and greenery. They were short, and did not provide the vertical appeal we were going for. Also, they simply were not vines; again, not what we asked for!
A third issue we had involved the centerpieces. We decided to use bridesmaids bouquets as centerpieces at some of the tables. In the quote Tisa provided she charged us $60 for "partially filled vases." Perhaps this was a communication error, although my mother and I both recall Tisa saying that she would put a few small flowers in the vases already, to go around the bridesmaid's bouquets and make it look more natural. This was not done. When we asked Tisa about it, she explained that the "partially filled vases" meant vases partially filled with... water! Seriously.
I made it very clear to Tisa that we were not pleased with her services on my wedding day. She had an attitude of "nothing I can do about it now". Without fixing any of our complaints, she left again.
Finally, a representative for Tisa was expected to arrive for tear down at 11 sharp. We had exactly 1 hour before being charged. All other vendors were there on time (or early)! When I called Tisa again to tell her that her clean up person was not there, she assured me that he was. "He IS somewhere there on the property." Well, he may have been SOMEWHERE, but the wedding venue was 50 acres, so being on the property doesn't really help me if he was not at my reception tent cleaning up.
This was the only vendor I had any issues with at my wedding, and I completely regret booking her. After the wedding, Tisa made no attempts to contact me or to make things right. We received no partial refund, or even an apology.
I wouldn't risk ruining your perfect day with this unreliable vendor.
