Salero is a fantastic venue with oceanfront views and Dawn and her team are top notch. From the moment we met Dawn and saw the venue we knew we wanted to have our wedding reception there (the wedding ceremony was on the beach in front of Henlopen Hotel). Dawn was quick to communicate throughout the entire process. She offered helpful tips and vendor suggestions. Thanks again for everything Dawn! You’re the best! Her husband, the chef, and his team made delicious food that all of our guests enjoyed. And DJ Steve was amazing. He assisted with the ceremony order of things and kept the party going all night at the reception. Just a perfect day all around and I would recommend them to anyone.

I cannot say anything bad about Salero and Dawn. Day of my wedding was a hurricane and we had last minute (within a week of the wedding) to determine how the ceremony will be setup, how it will flow into cocktail hour and reception. Limited time with the photographer and Dawn made sure to get all the things we wanted pictures of within the photographers schedule. I absolutely loved the venue, it is modern which is a stark contrast to the hotel. Please know the hotel and Salero are two separate businesses. Salero and Dawn will forever have made my special day be a dream come true.

We just recently had our wedding reception at Salero on May 28, 2022. We knew Salero was “the one” last year when we visited the venue and met Dawn. She made things so easy- from the day we made our first deposit until the day we made it official ❤️. Our wedding day was nothing less of spectacular and all of our guests are still raving about the food and overall experience. We had the most perfect day and I am so happy we decided to go with the beach wedding experience!

We had our reception on May 13th at Salero, and the event was amazing. Dawn Horton was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with through out the entire planning process. The location on the boardwalk was easy to get to and despite being in a main tourism area parking was easy to find. Having toured many of the venue around the area Salero was by far the best location and value for our investment in treating our guests to a celebration for our wedding. The DJ, Steve "DJ Bump" Dennis was part of the package and did a great job as the MC, even including video requests to be played during my Sisters Toast, and helped us to share the video of our vows from our Ceremony overseas. He was even able to find some Ukrainian songs that were specific requests that were definitely not common wedding songs in the USA. The food was spectacular! We have received nothing but rave reviews from our family and friends! The Cheesesteak Spring Rolls, Coconut Shrimp and Chicken and Waffle Bites were crown favorites for the starters! For the main course the Filet Mignon was cooked to a perfect medium temperature, the Grilled Wild Salmon was fresh and flakey, and the Balsamic Chicken was moist with an excellent balsamic drizzle that complimented the bruschetta. At the end of the night the clean up was amazing as Dawn's team helped organize our decorations, presents, and flowers to get to the after party in a timely manner. Overall, this experience was spectacular the memories created were beautiful and we could not have asked for a better reception. We highly recommend Dawn Horton and her team at Salero!

Was raining and my beach wedding was looking like it may not happen. However, Dawn and her team made it work once the skies cleared. We set up along the walk path and it was just gorgeous! The food was amazing! DJ Bump kept the party going all night. Everyone enjoyed themselves including my new hubby and I. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Denise O. Wedding Planner & Officiant This wedding venue is absolutely first class + from beginning to end. Dawn was so great to work with! The food from appetizers to dessert was just fabulous. Our guests said best filet they ever tasted. Chef truly cares about the food he serves and it shows. Appetizer shrimp was huge and plentiful, mini crabcakes, cheesesteak egg rolls, all just so delish. Now for customer service and servers and bartenders, all so friendly. Made our reception so much fun. Tip for future brides—when Dawn says “I gotcha,” she means it. Our wedding was pretty perfect! DJ Steve was awesome and easy to work with for ceremony on the beach and so much fun to dance to the music! He made the night, dance floor was packed. You can’t go wrong with this venue—promise!

Salero provided the perfect venue for our wedding in October 2021. The staff was very friendly and did a great job. The food was spectacular! Dawn was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with planning and executing our special day. Our wedding day was perfect thanks to Dawn and her staff!

My fiance and I had been planning our wedding for over a year at a venue in Atlantic City, when we were informed in June, 2020, that the venue might not be reopening in time for our event. I started researching different venues and found Salero in Rehoboth Beach. I contacted Dawn to start planning our wedding and I am so happy I did. We met with Dawn in early July and she was friendly, professional and accomodating. She made us feel completely confident that our wedding reception would be great, even though we only had two months to plan it. She was right, everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the service exceptional and the room and view unbelievably beautiful. Several of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Thank you again Dawn for making our special day absolutely wonderful!!!

We had our wedding here during the pandemic. Dawn was accommodating to our changing number of guests and was able to make some adjustments in our agreement. She was very responsive to email and phone calls during all of our planning. Our guests enjoyed the bird eye view of the beach from the venue as well. On the set up and day of there were a few things that’s weren’t per our contract, but when brought to Dawn’s attention they were fixed quickly. Salero staff helped our day run smoothly which we appreciate.

I got married here 9/5/2020 and Dawn and her team made everything SUPER easy. If you wasn’t easy and inclusive this is the spot. Dawn was very accessible and answered all my questions. The venue itself is great for dancing and the view is stunning.DJ STEVE was also great. I docked a star because there were issues with trying to postpone to 2021 with unwritten last minute changes to policy and extra fees to change that weren’t in the contract. We weren’t willing to loose our deposits and paying the extra fees to postponed to 2021 would have put our wedding over budget so we were gives you take the risk and keep our date. Despite this- everything went beautifully and Dawn made accommodations in other ways to make up for the guest list taking a hit putting us below our minimum. I recommend this venue but make sure to ask questions and request written amendments or comments in the contract for the pandemic contingencies. Dawn will do it! Also- pandemic times are hard for everyone so I understand businesses need to stay afloat. This really is the best venue for a beach wedding in DE and with it being so inclusive - it makes things waayyyyyy less stressful for the people planning wedding. Also the FOOD IS FANTASTIC OMG- I have family and in laws FULL of harsh food critics but everyone genuinely raved about how good the food was Andy husband and I were blown away too. DELICIOUS just let them work their magic as Salero delivers on everything!

My daughter had a wedding planned here 8–7-20 and had to move it to next year due to the pandemic. Once rescheduled, she made the decision to completly cancel the ceremony and reception since it was out of state, uncertainty of the pandemic and close family not being able to travel due to loss of work last few months and still not working. We paid a total of 4,346.00 in deposit fees. My daughter contacted Dawn Horton and she is refusing to refund the deposit money. Yes the contract states no refunds. We are in the middle of a global crisis and almost every business is considering that and providing refunds. I left a message for Dave Horton yesterday and Dawn today. We are hoping they do the right thing and provide a refund to us. Understanding the time we are living in should supercede a contract stipulation.

Dawn, DJ Steve and crew at Salero were fantastic! We had our wedding there at the end of July (on the hottest weekend of the year) and we couldn’t have asked for a better and more accommodating host and place to have a reception. Dawn made sure that our reception was taken care of from start to finish. From dietary restrictions to making sure my husband and I had plenty to eat (and drink) throughout the night, she did it all! DJ Steve was awesome and kept the party going all night!! Salero is run very efficiently and there is no place in the world that will give you the views of the beach, boardwalk and Rehoboth like Salero does.

Our wedding Labor Day weekend (8/31/18) was absolutely incredible. We knew right away that Salero was the perfect venue for us based on the gorgeous views / being steps off the beach / the whole package. This was even BEFORE the renovations! Now it's even better than when we originally chose it for our special day. We planned our wedding from 1200 miles away (Dallas, TX) and thanks to Dawn and her staff you'd never know it. Everything came out perfectly (well, other than the rain...but hey, they say that's good luck!) The food was fantastic, all of our guests enjoyed their meals and almost a month later they are still telling us how good everything was! DJ Steve was great and had our guests grooving all night long. I would highly recommend Salero to ANYONE looking for a beach wedding with stunning views, delicious food and drinks, and great entertainment. We would get married at Salero all over again if we could! Thank you for everything!

We are incredibly happy with how the reception turned out. The food was amazing, the setup was wonderful, the DJ was rockin' and kept everyone dancing. The owners are kind and easy to work with. They helped make it run smoothly.

We just had our wedding there and it was better than I could have ever dreamed of! Last minute we got to be on the beach! Everyone worked so hard to make my dream of being married on the beach come true! Dawn and her staff go above and beyond to make the whole thing run so smoothly! Dawn works so hard to anticipate your every need as a bride and is so accommodating! I had Shirley temples brought to me before I even knew I was thirsty! I had food and cake wrapped up because I’m not much of an eater at parties! She took us back to feed the wedding party our own set of hors d’oeuvres. It was a magical weekend, with a breathtaking view and amazing food! Thank you Dawn!

I had my wedding at Salero in May and wanted to write a review on how things went on my wedding day. I will start with some cons and then the pros. So my suggestion to brides is to hire a ceremony coordinator because Dawn does not have any involvement with the ceremony’s at her venue. You will not see Dawn until your rehearsal dinner. So it rained 5 minutes before my ceremony, it was a 20% chance that day so we thought we would be outside. So I made the decision to have the ceremony inside because the dj cannot have Equiptment out in the rain. And in case you are a bride that wants to walk down a isle you won’t get that at Salero if you get married on the dance floor. All the guests sit at their tables and you get married with your backs to them. Most of my guests said they couldn’t see anything. So in all my pictures of our ceremony all our guests are in the background. Dawn never clarified that to me when she showed us the venue. The lack of communication was my biggest issue . So after I made the decision to have the ceremony on the dance floor, dj Steve suggested it would work better. My friend went downstairs to tell everyone to come upstairs after she ran around setting up rose pedals and lanterns and bringing everything from the ocean upstairs because again Dawn and her staff will not do that. Well my guests were coming upstairs and dawn locked the elevator on them and said she would be ready in another hour!! Could you imagine being a bride with your nerves. And you are told your ceremony won’t start for another hour because dawn and her staff weren’t ready yet. They had fl clean up and finish lighting candles. And your bridesmaids going down to tell everyone to come back up in a hour. My guests went back to their rooms or waited in the hotel lobby. Now dawn said she would extend the reception a hour. Which was only extended 45 mins. She said that’s because the ceremony was shorter and people were getting beers after the ceremony. What terrible customer service. I feel for the money you pay to have your wedding there the customer service is appalling. My photographer emailed dawn asking for a timeline and she never emailed him back. I asked her to send me a timeline and she said don’t worry I will coordinate the timeline flow and make sure everyone is where they are supposed to me. She said she wouldn’t let anything happen without the photographer and videographer. Well my photographer was not in the room during the remembrance dance my husband had with his aunt or my dance with my mom. So we have no pictures of those dances from lack of communication. Which is upsetting because you only get those dances once and I have no pictures. Also dawn does not set up the venue for you if your are doing your own center pieces. My bridesmaids and I set up the room the day before and lucky for us there was no wedding or we would’ve had to do it the morning of the wedding! The venue is beautiful and location was great for us. Dj Steve was amazing! The food was delicious, we had steak and crab cake and the appetizers were very good. When your are a bride you are so happy to be getting married I tried not to let those things bother me, but I wished it was a little smoother and not chaotic before the ceremony. I hope this review can help a bride and groom in making their decision when looking around!! <3

I cannot say enough great things about Salero! I got married on June 2, 2018 and it really was the best day of my life thanks to Dawn and her staff! Dawn is so personable, funny, laidback, professional, and amazing at her job! She really made our planning process so easy and not stressful. She made sure everything during the reception ran smoothly and flowed well and she also focused on making sure the groom and I were happy at every moment (made sure we were fed the apps and dinner, always had a drink, asked us what we needed, etc.). I was stressing about the weather the day before and she calmed me down and straight up told me I’d be on the beach and guess what…she wasn’t wrong! We had perfect weather (yes, she’s a weather woman as well  ). The food was absolutely amazing! Every single hors d'oeuvre was delicious and the main entrée was presented very fancy and tasted amazing. We did steak and crab cakes and everyone loved it! Dawn was able to package up the groom and I’s meals (as we didn’t eat much of it because we were so busy) and we heated it up the next day and ate it and it was still so good! Additionally, the staff that served the meals were so professional and efficient. DJ Steve was awesome! He was so organized and so fun! He’s the perfect DJ to get the crowd started and having fun all night! He took everything I asked him to do and did it so well without one complaint. Every one of my guests has told me how much fun they had and how great the music was and it’s all thanks to DJ Steve! The renovations that were recently done to Salero are incredible! The place looks brand new! The new floors, walls, lighting, etc. all make the place look gorgeous. I loved the place even before the renovations, but this just made it 10x better! My dream was to get married on the beach and Salero was really the only venue that will give you the perfect beach wedding plus everything for a perfect reception. Everything was so convenient and no coordination for transportation was needed (which was a huge plus for us). I am so happy that we went with Salero and would recommend it to any Bride!

My husband & I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary with our long anticipated reception (and vow renewal ceremony) at Salero and it was honestly worth the 1 year wait!! Everything was perfect, it was truly our fairytale wedding!! The food was FANTASTIC (and Dawn made SURE we ate - which thank God she did or I wouldn't have eaten all night probably!) DJ Steve was outrageous!! He had everyone on the dance floor and accommodated every single (crazy) request or suggestion I had! Anything I wanted, all I had to do was ask and they made it happen for me! It was the most perfect, best day of my life!!! Everyone hasn't stopped talking about it! The renovations are incredible, the views are beautiful, this is truly the spot you want to have your magical beach wedding, trust me!! This was the only venue I even visited because I knew as soon as I walked through their door, this was where I was having my wedding. Thank you so much to every single person that worked so hard to make our day so special, you are all rockstars!!!!

The best possible place to have your wedding! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this location and especially the staff! On top of the stunning view, Dawn is an incredible help, she is responsive, flexible, and keeps things flowing so well, she can handle anything. Chef David's food is amazing, you'll have tons of choices and they can accommodate a variety of food allergies; we've gotten complements about every single one of our appetizers from our guests. Lastly (but certainly not least!) DJ Steve is absolutely phenomenal, our wedding party danced the night away thanks to his great choices, he is so fun and easy to work with you won't regret it for a second. The Salero was perfect for our wedding and exceeded our expectations in every way!

WOW! My husband and I were married on 10/14/17 and had the wedding of our dreams, in large part due to Dawn and her staff. The food was incredible, the DJ was awesome and the whole night was perfect. Dawn is an exceptional coordinator. She was great to work with from start to finish. I HIGHLY recommend Salero, I wish we could do it all again!

Dawn and the staff at Salero's are amazing!!! Our wedding was last week and we couldn't of been happier with the way everything turned out. Salero came highly recommended on many bridal websites so I had really high expectations. As soon as I walked out of the elevator and saw the view, I was sold. Dawn was just the icing on the cake. She was so easy to work with and absolutely hilarious. Since this was a destination wedding we weren't able to arrange a tasting so that was my only concern leading up to the big day. I am a bit of a food snob but Dawn promised me high quality food. Her husband is the chef and was able to recommend his best dishes. My fears were put to rest as soon as I tasted the cocktail hour appetizers. Delicious. Dinner was 100% gourmet and exceeded my expectations. I have nothing but high praise for the Salero. Dawn and her staff are amazing. Our wedding and reception was absolutely perfect and I couldn't thank them enough.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Salero on 8/15/15 and it truly was the perfect day. Dawn made sure every last little thing went off without a hitch and it absolutely did. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience of everything exceeded all of our expectations. Mike the D.J rocked it and had our guests on the dance floor ALL night. He even jumped on the dance floor with us! We are still receiving compliments weeks later about how amazing the food was and what an incredible time everybody had. If you are looking for a venue where you know you will be taken care of and your guests will have an amazing time, then look no further! Salero is the place for you. This was by far the best wedding we've ever been to and it makes it so special that it was our own. A million thank you's again!!

My daughter was married on 04/4/15 and her reception was held at the Salero on the top floor of the Henlopen hotel. We could have not asked for a better wedding! The venue and experienced staff were all amazing. Mike, the DJ, was awesome as well. The food...amazing! People are still talking about how great the appetizers, meals, chocolate fountain was. I cannot say enough good things about Dawn, Chef David and the Salero. We couldn't ask for anything more and the price for such a 5 star wedding, food and view can't be beat! Thank you Salero!

OUSTANDING! From start to finish, Dawn was just simply wonderful. She helped to manage all details of the wedding/reception, & also helped to ease all of the anxiety and stress. Our wedding in August on the beach with the crew from Salero's was AMAZING! When we started planning our wedding 7 months prior to our date, I had no idea it would be as wonderful or as fabulous as it turned out to be. Dawn and the rest of the crew made us absolutely wonderful and delicious dinners, kept our drinks full, and Mike kept everyone (especially the bride and groom) dancing all night long! We are still receiving compliments 2 months after our wedding. You can't go wrong selecting Saleros as your venue!

My husband and I cannot say enough about Dawn, Chef David, DJ Mike and their whole team!! Everything about our day was absolutely perfect! We planned our wedding from out of town and you could of never guessed all because of the help from Dawn, who is amazing! She always responded so promptly when we had any questions or concerns. We used Salero as our venue and it included their catering service. I'd heard people rave about their food beforehand and when we did our tasting we were not disappointed. We had a appetizers and then buffet dinner. Everything was spectacular and people are still raving about the food. And the way it is included with the venue it made it so much easier planning wise. And Dawn even made sure we got to eat ourselves, which I'm glad we didn't miss out on. Bacon wrapped scallops are out of this world!

This was an amazing venue with an amazing team. Everything from the ceremony, to the reception, to the food, to the dj, to the wait staff, to the Dawn was just perfect. All of our guests and family commented on how great Salero was!

I am so lucky that I stumbled upon the Salero. Right from the start, Dawn made our entire experience stress free. No question was ever a bother and emails were answered in a timely fashion. Dawn was there throughout the night, making sure everything was going the way we had envisioned. 2 months have gone by and friends, family, and co-workers are still talking about how we threw the best party of the year. The food is fabulous, our signature drink of sangria was perfect, and Mike, the DJ, kept our music list going throughout the entire night! I truly can say I can remember every bit of my night and there is not a single thing I would change. You will not regret your decision to book with Dawn and the Salero. Congrats!

I was married at Salero on August 19, 2011, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. Dawn, the owner and front of house coordinator, is amazing and wonderful to work with. She is a true professional. The food was delicious, the entire staff was wonderful, and the venue location and views just can't be beat. I highly recommend Salero to anyone looking to get married by the beach in the Delaware/Philadelphia/Maryland area.

Mike Harrell is Salero's exclusive in-house DJ and comes included with booking Salero. He's probably one of the best DJs I've ever heard. Mike listens to what you want/don't want and offers great suggestions. He played music that appealed to every age group and kept the dance floor full all night. No tacky gimmicks or excessive talking to worry about either!

I can not thank Dawn and her staff enough for such an amazing night! Our guests had an amazing time- the view of the beach, service, and food was absolutely amazing!

I must say that this venue was fantastic. Dawn and david made my special day amazing and I couldnt have done it without them. In comparison to other vendors in this area it was very reasonably priced as well. All dawn and david did was bend over backwards to make sure I had an amazing day.

The food was FANTASTIC, and 3 weeks later I am still hearing compliments about the food, service, location, and Dawn herself. Finding Salero was a huge blessing, and I can't imagine having had my wedding anywhere else. At the end of the night, I wished I could do it all over again the next day. people are still raving about the food at my wedding. the setting at salero, a tasteful light yellow room eight floors above the rehoboth boardwalk overlooking the ocean, was the perfect setting for the reception following my gorgeous beach wedding. my wedding was pretty laid back (no suits, ties, tuxes or gowns - just flip flops, cotton dresses on the girls and linen pants and shirts for the guys) so the restaurant-like feel/setup of salero was perfect. the staff were great, especially dawn (owner/event coordinator) who kept the energy high, made sure my husband, family, attendants and i were taken care of all night, and kept things flowing very smoothly. she even handled, um, 'sticky' family situations like a pro. i had a BLAST at my wedding and i would recommend salero to anyone, every time.

Salero was an amazing place to have our wedding reception. The view of the ocean of course is the best. The restaurant itself also beautiful. But even more than that the food is delicious. All of our guests kept saying how much they loved the food and how good it was. We loved it too! Also Dawn, the owner is wonderful. She makes everything so easy and nothing was a problem for her. Thanks to Salero I had the beach wedding of my dreams It far exceeded my expectations and everything turned out perfect.
