r. She helped me to get everything together in less than 4 months, met with me in person and over the phone numerous times, and on the day of the wedding literally set up decorations for me. If you have no idea how to plan a wedding and want someone spectacular to cater and help you organize, Saltbox is it! Megan was always so personable and kind, and never made me feel clueless even though I totally was. I would not change a single thing about our wedding and I am so glad we chose Saltbox!

all the special little details of our event just right. Any question or worry we had throughout the process, Meg put us at ease with her professionalism and experience. Not only that, but the execution of the event was beyond what we could have ever hoped for. Meg and team transformed our space at the Cambridge Boat Club into a truly magical event. And of course - the food! Our guests have not stopped raving about the food. Saltbox made our wedding special and unique and gave our guests an experience I don't think they'll forget.

Everyone we met or worked with was amazing and even when we had a slight panic moment when the venue didn't have the right kitchen space, they were creative and made it work. Box does is incredible - the food, the service, and the friendships gained to name a few! We absolutely loved having Megan, Chef Nate and Chef Ben on our team for our wedding weekend! Our wedding meal was seriously off the charts good and they listened to every request we had for the perfect meal!! PLUS they catered brunch the next day and that was just as spectacular! LOVED this vendor and would recommend to anyone looking for truly fresh and incredible farm-to-table for their guests!!! <3

Throughout the entire process, Megan was extremely thoughtful, communicative, and accommodating to all of our questions and any special requests along the way. It was such a special experience being able to have a true farm-to-table wedding—the ceremony between rows of grape vines, the cocktail hour among the orchard trees, and our reception tent in an open field next to hops poles and vegetable crops. My husband and I are vegetarian and the team at Saltbox Catering helped us create the most incredible menu based on all of our favorite fruits, vegetables and memorable dishes we’ve shared over the years. After the wedding, our guests could not stop raving about the food, the catering staff, and the magical setting. We couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out, and would highly recommend having Saltbox cater your wedding or next event!

guest wedding August 15, 2020. Megan was so thoughtful and didn't just work with me as a client, but as a PERSON who understood how important this day was to us and was willing to go above and beyond to ensure they could provide us the best food in the safest environment. They were so understanding and reworked reservations and numbers each time the rules changed (our guest count was cut a week before the wedding!) I must say, what they created was exceptional - my friends and family still talk about it to this day. They also took on the challenge of creating their first wedding made out of three layers of my favorite cheeses, adorned with all the fixings of lavender, honey, and jams. I cannot thank the team enough!

ether the most incredible menu for the event and surpassed our expectations completely. We knew they would be good, we didn't realize the food and service would be FANTASTIC. Our guests are still talking about the food and how it was like dining at a high-end restaurant and how wedding food normally is just "OK" or even worse, "sucks". More than just the food, the Saltbox team was incredibly accommodating to our guests with allergies, they made sure everyone was well-taken care of, and even pulled my husband and me aside to enjoy a few of the hors d'oeuvres while we were snapping more photos during cocktail hour. I cannot say enough positive things about their team as people and as professionals. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer and I know we will be referring our friends and family to use them as well!

e uniquely challenging circumstances created as a result of the pandemic. Megan prioritized the health of her team and our guests without compromising the atmosphere of the evening; she had no shortage of fun ideas for how to adapt our event so that all parties felt safe and comfortable. She was very responsive and we had no issues with her availability during the planning process. The food was excellent and a true highlight of the evening. They will be our first call for future events.

nd and I hired Saltbox in November 2020 for our wedding in June 2021 because we loved the idea of hiring a farm to table caterer and thought their food was delicious. However, as soon as we signed the contract we had issues, mainly due to Megan Hawkes, their catering manager. Megan only responded to emails or calls at best once a week (apparently she only worked on Wednesdays) and when she did respond, she was overwhelmed and unable to answer the most basic of questions. As we got closer to the wedding and details needed to be finalized, it became very apparent that neither Megan nor the owners of Saltbox had any idea how to cater a small backyard wedding during COVID. Every step of the way with Saltbox was challenging, and we realized two months before the wedding that we needed to find a new caterer. In our search we spoke to 5 other caterers who were easily able to answer the same questions Saltbox couldn't, and it made us realize that the problem was Saltbox and not the pandemic. We wound up hiring a different caterer who provided delicious food and impeccable service, and looking back we realized we dodged a major bullet by not having Saltbox cater our wedding!

and the season. Our guests raved about the family style food. The waitstaff was impeccable - quick and attentive. Megan’s attention to detail had us relaxed heading into the day. We would highly recommend Saltbox for any event!

llowing morning; everything was both flavorful and elegant. We had over 200 guests at our backyard wedding on a hot summer weekend, but every detail was perfect. Many of our guests reached out to us to ask about our caterers because they said it was the best wedding food they ever had! (Of course we thought so too, but we were biased). Drinks: We had a signature drink that was so popular, we ran out of gin. We had two Saltbox Brewery beers on tap that people loved. The following morning we had a beautiful bloody Mary bar. The Team: It was a pleasure working with Ben and Megan. Everything was coordinated and seamless; how they managed to serve 200 people at the exact same time with no mistakes…I have no idea. (They are also wonderful at accommodating food allergies, intolerances, preferences etc). The entire staff was professional and energetic. Our tasting: One of the best parts of wedding planning. We went to dinner at Saltbox Farm and had the opportunity to sample our cocktail hour food, entrees and brunch food. Ben and Megan were interested in our feedback and everything was so personalized; it wasn’t as if we had a few options to select from a list. Saltbox is an extremely talented, high quality farm to table caterer. If that’s what you’re looking for, I cannot think of a better group for your event. Saltbox Team: Thank you for all that you do.

In addition to the incredible food, working with Saltbox Kitchen made our entire wedding more special. We absolutely loved working with Megan Hawkes, the Catering Manager. We could not have imagined someone doing a better job. She was hard-working, extremely organized, thoughtful, so caring, and creative. From the planning process to the many day-of details, Megan helped us enormously. Megan has a fantastic aesthetic vision for how to make a venue look festive and beautiful. We got married in a simple space with white walls, but, because of her help, it looked amazing. She also made herself extremely available to help us - from meeting with us for as long as needed to quickly following up about our many questions. Megan went completely above and beyond what we expected from a catering company. We are extremely grateful to her!

resented . From the moment I was introduced to Saltbox Farm’s catering manager my anxiety started to fade. Her professionalism and confidence reassured me, but still I had no idea if this was going to come off the way she said it would. All I can say is, it did! The appetizers, the lunch, the wine choices got rave reviews from guests of all ages and parts of the country. The presentation was elegant and appealing and the catering staff could not have been nicer. Friendly efficient enjoyable and fun. I can’t recommend Saltbox Farm highly enough. d a venue we weren't thrilled with the local options- the vendors we had reached out to were stuffy and vague about pricing. We got married on Saranac Lake in upstate New York, so weren't sure what the response would be when we asked Saltbox about their availability and willingness to travel. From the beginning, Megan was transparent about the costs associated with bringing here the team 5 hours away and about the pricing in general- which was much appreciated. We went for a tasting up at the farmhouse. Chef Ben had a meal ready for us based on the initial menu he had developed and the time of year of the wedding. We used that as a starting point to design a menu together- a collaborative and creative experience. Megan, who was our main point person throughout diligent about coordinating with our wedding planner to make sure the process went smoothly and efficiently. When it came to the day of the wedding- the food was just amazing. Fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors. Our guests were blown away. I actually made a point to eat the ever elusive wedding night dinner. The staff was all so lovely and they really helped us create a special experience for our friends and family. We were and still are totally thrilled.

From our first meeting and tasting with Ben and Megan at the Farm, through the months of planning leading up to our wedding day, we had an excellent experience with the Saltbox team. Megan was particularly exceptional. She checked-in with us often to ensure that we were sticking to timelines, gave opinions and advice on the endless wedding details, honored our needs and requests, and was always extremely pleasant, prepared and professional. Saltbox handled the food, beverage, all rentals and service, interfaced with the vendors and venue and managed the day-of set-up, timeline logistics and breakdown. Everything was seamless and incredibly beautiful; it was truly a perfect day. The food: the tasting definitely sealed the deal for us in deciding to work with Saltbox. We developed a cocktail hour and family-style dinner menu with Megan and Ben that was seasonal and sourced food responsibly. Everyone that attended the wedding raved about the food (and wonderful table and bar service!) and we heard form so many guests that it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding. I am still thinking about the scallop crudo and marinated chicken with chimichurri sauce! My husband and I give Saltbox our highest recommendation and many kudos for helping us make our wedding day dreams a reality! We are so thankful they're in Boston-area.

ge, outdoor wedding without assigned seats, which posed some logistical hurdles for a plated dinner, but they handled everything with apparent ease. From the tasting, to menu planning, to set up, to the service at the wedding - all was exemplary!! They were so thoughtful as to have a server assigned specifically to my husband and me throughout the night (and she was the bomb). Most importantly, we have continued to get RAVE reviews of the food - it's not something people usually comment on at weddings, so the number of compliments we've gotten is truly a testament to how wonderful Saltbox is in every way. We will absolutely work with them again!!

We were initially a little concerned about how the tasting skillet would translate to group of 50 guests, but at our wedding on October 21, the food quality were just as amazing. We received so many compliments from our guests indicating that it was the best wedding food they ever had. The service staff were friendly and professional. All of our guests were truly well cared for. Bonus - Chef Ben Elliott even made an appearance at our wedding! A special mention to Megan Hawkes, Manager of Catering and Events for her hard work in coordinating everything especially the rentals. She made everything happen... ln, MA. They were very helpful and responsive in the months leading up to the event. They allowed us to taste the menu a few weeks prior - Ben (the owner and head chef) prepared the menu for us at his kitchen in Concord - which was awesome. The food they served at the event was excellent. The service was perfect. We got lots of compliments from our guests. We would strongly recommend them to anyone. And we will continue to frequent their restaurant in West Concord.

recycling all of the waste, using an outside vendor for rentals, and doing a lot of DIY, and Camille, Hannah and Ben totally ran with it and gave us a great event. The food was absolutely phenomenal and we've been getting e-mails from our guests ever since to ask for recipes and contact info for the farm! We could not have asked for a better farm to table event than the one we got with Saltbox Farm. We're already brain storming holiday parties so that we can work with them again!
