From start to finish everyone we interacted with and was amazing. We also had to plan everything out of state so that added a layer of complexity but we hardly noticed. We started working with her towards the end up the planning process and she was our day of coordinator. She has such a natural talent for planning and making your visions come true. he smaller sales team ensured I was always speaking to familiar faces who knew exactly who I was. One of the best parts of working with Wedgewood was not having to outsource our own vendors. From the start, they provided a curated selection of high-quality, trusted vendors that made the planning process so much easier and stress-free. It was such a relief to know we were in good hands with their recommendations. Sierra, our day-of coordinator, was a dream to work with. From the first day we toured the venue, she built a wonderful rapport with us and went above and beyond throughout the entire process. From booking to the rehearsal and the wedding day itself, Sierra’s meticulous attention to detail and seamless execution made everything stress-free. As a bride, knowing I could trust her completely with our timeline was such a relief. DJ Rachel brought unmatched energy to our reception and was an absolute hit with our younger crowd. She curated the perfect vibe, hyping up every song I wanted and keeping the dance floor alive all night. Jonah, our banquet captain, was equally amazing. He consistently checked in with us throughout the day to make sure we were well taken care of. He even went the extra mile by packing us one of everything from our buffet to take home, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings truly exceeded all expectations, and I couldn’t recommend them enough for creating a flawless and unforgettable wedding day.

Well ... everything was just perfect - the timeliness of the event, the ambiance, the AMAZING food, the service, the delicious cake, the coordination with our entertainment vendors ... This group of INCREDIBLE people understood the assignment; they captured our vision and overall vibe right away. We loved their energy so much that it genuinely felt like we were partying WITH them! Nicole, you helped us feel so supported, organized, and safe. Rachel K., you made us all feel like we were living in a movie with such an amazing film score playing all night long; you somehow knew EXACTLY what to play, without us telling you and most importantly, you were dancing with us all night long! That was so fun! Taylor and Mike, you two are some of the kindest people we've ever met; we're still amazed at how we had a drink in our hand right away the whole night! We've never received services like that before. We fell in love with these incredible people and the venue. Thank you so much for a really special night!

Tilo, and he was fantastic. He took detailed notes, offered us genuine advice, and took the stress out of large planning meetings with him warm and helpful personality. His careful notes helped everything run smoothly when it was turned over to our day-of coordinator, Sierra. Sierra was a clear communicator and made sure that every small detail was taken care of! I was so relieved when I walked into the venue right before my wedding and saw that it was exactly as I had imagined it would be. So many people commented on how efficient she was with the timeline and how smoothly the whole night went. The food was delicious, and the bar service was top notch! All of our guests were impressed with the meals and I never saw anyone waiting for long at the bar. We enjoyed the whole night with our amazing DJ, Sean! And as the night was coming on and end, Wedgewood was super helpful by working with my mom to make sure everything was packed up and we did not forget anything that we may have wanted to keep. If you want a stress-free and beautiful wedding day, this is the place to book!

Planning process: Everyone we interacted with was extremely personable, understanding, and made you feel at ease. The people we worked with (mostly Sierra and Tito) were detail-oriented; they helped us remember the little details leading up to the day. Pricing was transparent. Wedgewood allowed us to customize as much or as little as we wanted; we never felt pressured or judged to remove/add customizations through the last meeting. The recommended vendors were also professional and great to work with. Day of the wedding: As mentioned above, Tito was the man (Wedgewood should give him a raise)! He helped with the rehearsal, setup, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure things went smoothly. The venue staff made sure my husband and I ate well, had drinks in our hands, etc and overall were having a good time. Our DJ that Wedgewood recommended (Sean) was extremely amazing to work with – he truly listened to our vision, from the planning process to the day-of, and kept the party going; our guests had a blast and loved Sean. I’d recommend requesting Sean if that’s an option. The food was great as well, our guests especially loved the salmon. If you are considering this venue for your wedding, definitely go for it. My husband and I had such a great experience, and are so incredibly grateful. Thank you!

tion in an email thread, whoever responded would not take the time to read a previous email. So every time a question was asked, we had to start the back and forth all over again. We chose an all-inclusive venue for a reason; we both work full time jobs and didn’t want to have to do the heavy lifting. Ultimately had to do so with all of the back and forth time we lost as a result of this. During our frustration, we sent them a formal email asking for there to be better communication. We simply asked for the individual staff member who responded to our email to sign their name. We just wanted to know who we were talking to. Very rarely after this request did they do so. Email communication continued to be very poor. Even up to discussing our final payment, we had so many back & forth emails where we had to correct the person on the other side because they never saw our follow up emails where we clarified our final guest count. Additionally, when we sent our cashier’s check in as final payment, we asked them to email and confirm when they received it. They never did. We had to reach out two days before our wedding to make sure everything was still good to go. Wedgewood, every quarter, puts on a tasting event for all the engaged couples for that season. At our first planning meeting, Kayleen told us we would attend the tasting event on September 11th. This is a Monday night. We are from out of town, so we both had to request that Monday and Tuesday off. We did so as soon as she told us about the event. A week before the event, we hadn’t heard anything from Wedgewood, so I sent an email (read above for how great their email communication is). Haley, a different staff member, let us know that we were not on the invite list for the September 11th tasting event. We were scheduled to attend one in December and that it would cost $20 per person to attend. There are several things wrong with this. 1) We were already told we would be attending the September 11th event. We had taken, collectively, four days off for this event. 2) How were we supposed to attend the event in December when our details meeting (where we decide what food we want at the wedding) is taking place in October? That didn’t line up at all. 3) Perhaps this is me being petty, but why on earth are we paying $40 when we are giving your venue over $20k? Deceit over Weekend Meetings: When we had our initial meeting with Kayleen to tour the venue, we brought up that we live in Santa Barbara. This is over a 3 hour drive. We would only be able to do in-person meetings on weekend. Kayleen made it clear that this would be no problem and they would accommodate us. However, as soon as we put down our deposit, the staff changed their tune. They said they couldn’t do weekend meetings because they host weddings on weekends. Of course, that makes sense - but why tell us you could? This again left us feeling like we were deceived. Lack of consistency: Over the course of wedding planning through Wedgewood, you have four official meetings. We had items and details picked out from the very first meeting. However, at every subsequent meeting, those details were never written down. As with the email communication, we had to start all over each time. This made us feel like we had no confidence in the venue whatsoever.

f was so supportive, professional, and organized. They constantly checked in with us, kept us with a drink in our hand, and made us feel so special! If you want a wedding that is personalized and feels like you, but you don't have the time to do a 100% DIY wedding, this is the place for you! We got the Elite package for 100 guests. They let you customize so much of the day, from our linens to the chairs. We also got to incorporate our own decor, specialty drinks, and more. They also set everything up which was so so helpful! Every table and detail was down to the T how we envisioned and discussed it! Thank you to the entire team for making our wedding so unforgettable! A few hiccups to note (definitely not deal breakers, but somethings to keep in mind): 1. We heard that they would accommodate different dietary restrictions if it was less than 10% of our guests for a plated meal, but unfortunately at this venue, this was miscommunicated. During our final meeting we had to pivot to a buffet style dinner. The happy ending to this story is that the food at this venue is phenomenal and the buffet only gave us more of it! We were able to incorporate food that met all of our guests' food restrictions and it was delicious! 2. We left my veil in the closet at the reception (100% our fault) and the next day they said they found it and would put it aside for me. Unfortunately, it was mistakenly given to someone else. I understand that things get busy, but I think this situation could have been avoided had the situation been communicated well.

a reply back was quite difficult. I never was able to get a hold of them by phone. The staffing was always different so often no one knew the communications that occurred. At the end of the night of our wedding, we had personalized items that we were hoping to get back. Unfortunately, the wedding venue threw them out and didn’t ask us if we’d like them to be discarded.

s the ideal romantic setting for our wedding. What we loved most was the convenience and proximity to local hotels. Having a hotel directly across the street was perfect for out-of-town guests. They could easily walk back after the reception without worrying about transportation. The on-site coordinator was also fantastic. She made sure everything ran smoothly so my husband and I could relax and enjoy our special day. We didn't stress over any planning details, even when a surprise shower rolled in! I would wholeheartedly recommend San Clemente Shore to any couples looking for a convenient, picturesque wedding venue. Between the coastal ambiance, helpful staff, and location, you really can't go wrong!

t San Clemente Shore by Wedgewood Weddings made Wedding planning easy. Working full-time and getting my Master's and having a venue that was inclusive helped with making our dream wedding reality. Each vendor that works with Wedgewood weddings listened to us and was able to fit what we want into our budget. I love how we could change the packages to fit our needs. The month before our wedding the staff communicated and responded within 24 hours when we had questions or last-minute changes and help with our stress level. The wedding weekend from the rehearsal to the wedding day was smooth without any issues. The bar staff continued to make sure that our drinks stay full the entire night and asked if we needed anything. The DJ was amazing and listened to our style and went beyond our expectations. Our guests have commented how much fun they had. Chelsa fromEverlove photography took the time to get to know us as a couple during our engagement shoot to make the photos share our love story. My husband has had many photo shoots because of his work and is planning on using Everlove for his professional work because of the detail and talent our photographer has. We are so glad that we decided to use Wedgewood weddings because they went beyond our dream wedding. Hope I can go to another wedding as a guest because of how smooth everything went and the professionalism of the entire staff and vendors.

their field. I’ve never planned a wedding before or even attended one, really, so I came in blind and much of what I need to do was what I found on Instagram. They gave me a super detailed planning binder that walked me through the planning process from start to finish and told me about things I never even thought of. I never felt like they were overselling me or encouraging me to do things I didn’t want. They listened very well and followed up with me regularly to make sure I was on track. I’m very type-A and wanted to be involved in all planning and having them be just as on top of everything made me feel really secure that they had my best interests at heart and would pull off an absolutely incredible day. AND THEY DID! Our wedding was so beautiful and amazing and very uniquely us. It was a very smooth experience and everything went according to plan (weird, right?!). I would absolutely recommend the Wedgewood team to anyone and if I could do it all over again, I would. Thank you all so much for the wedding of my dreams! And arguably more important, my plate and cocktail glass were always full, never empty. They were always one step ahead of us and I didn’t even have to ask for anything because they already had everything I needed at all times. You are all amazing and wonderful humans.

ors along the porch wall were only opened as long as the buffet was. After that EVERY door and window in the place was shut tight! People were still eating, so we asked an attendant to please open the one nearest to us to allow fresh air in and she opened it for us, but that's when all the drama started happening. The attendant came back almost immediately and kept trying to close the doors back up. We protested and told her to leave them open for health safety reasons. She then began to tell us how everything has to be closed up for the noose ordinance that went into place at 10 PM. We politely pointed out that it wasn't even 8:30 PM yet. She did this a second time and we had to insist on the doors staying open once again. She said they may have to close the doors a bit soon, but they would stay open a little for some air flow. We were left completely baffled. There was still over an hour and a half before the noise ordinance went into place! A few minutes later, a white blonde lady came over and started telling us a very different story. The ordinance went into place at 9 PM, the other lady has been misinformed, and the doors had to be shut precisely at 9 PM or the local neighbors would start calling the police and the police would shut the wedding down. We asked about COVID health safety and she ignored the question, restating the noise ordinance policy. Literally AT 9 PM she shut the doors COMPLETELY. Just a few minutes after she shut the door, several of us had to get out of the reception hall even though the celebration was still in full swing. I was masked but still chose to leave completely. I have previously worked at a historic wedding venue and I am now a teacher, so all my bullcrap alarms were blaring in my head with this second lady!!! I looked up San Clemente's municipal ordinance code once I got back to my hotel. Guess when the ordinance ACTUALLY goes into place‽ 10 PM! I guess not having the neighbors complain was worth risking the lives of clients and guests to the Wedgewood staff! 🙄😠

ith. I wanted to share a few highlights and shout outs! (1) The outdoor reception area AND the indoor reception area are both so so beautiful!!! And there are views of the ocean, which is a huge plus! (2) They are so helpful during the wedding planning process - They provide a wedding planning book and you have several wedding planning meetings. Those resources and meetings immensely helped us prepare and plan for the wedding; Wedgewood made it so easy to make decisions and create a plan. (3) They provide vendors for you, which really takes a lot of the hard work and searching out of the equation for you. We loved all of the included vendors (Ever Love Photography, Forever Tomorrow Events), as well as the recommended vendors (Elizabeth Hickman, Hair & Makeup). (4) Our day-off wedding coordinator (Corina) was AMAZING. She made everything go off without a hitch and ensured that every wedding detail we planned turned out just how we imagined! She was organized, prepared, and so so kind. (5) Shout out to the bartenders - they are amazing and always made sure our drinks were never empty! (6) Lastly, I just want to say a big thank you to the entire Wedgewood team for making our day more perfect than we ever imagined. Thank you for working so hard to make sure everything went perfectly, so that we didn't have to worry about a thing day of. You all are an amazing team and we are so grateful we choose to do our wedding with you. If anyone is considering doing their wedding with this venue - I highly recommend!!

appen in 2021 and the only option with Wedgewood is to have a modified limited ceremony and/or postpone. Their contract language doesn't allow refunds and they were happy to take our deposit which was significant. Beware of venue minimums which for us was 10k. So sick of people ripping off others, spent a third of the cost for a wedding we will never have. Also they are very difficult to reach, it took a week and numerous calls just to cancel and give them free money. Pass on Wedgwood SC

y have the power to ignore the state lockdown/closures and continue to host events. They won't refund us back our deposit even though we were absolutely unable to reschedule our wedding to a later date considering my husband is deploying this month!!!! I am appalled and completely disappointed that they are stealing money from people. They rendered no services in which they deserve our deposit. STAY AWAY FROM WEDGEWOOD AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW AWAY YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

during this time has been extremely stressful. We spoke to many couples who are set to get married at various Wedgewood locations and they said they are dealing with similar issues. We had our wedding scheduled for October 2020, however due to the amount of out of town and elderly guests that would be attending the wedding, we decided it wasn't safe to continue planning and asked Wedgewood to simply move our wedding to a weekend date in Fall 2021. Their response was to offer us alternative dates which include having the wedding in the middle of winter (when the weather is unpredictable, and the ceremony is outdoors), or on a Monday thru Thursday night in the Summer/Fall. This was unacceptable to us. Who wants to have their wedding on a weeknight? We requested a refund of our initial deposit, which they have refused to give us. They wouldn't even refund us half of our initial deposit...because they are taking advantage of their customers during a difficult time. They are basically forcing us into a very unsafe date where over 50% of our guests won't be able to attend, or get married on a weeknight. The promise of having our dream wedding at Wedgewood has been completely taken away from us. Additionally, Wedgewood has a very questionable and uninformed position on the future Covid-19. The CEO sent an email stating he is confident the wedding world will be back to normal in time for weddings July - "dancing has been just the same as it always was, pre-Covid." Looks like the experts, CDC and WHO, completely disagree. It is clear and obvious the Covid-19 cases in CA are rising, and there is absolutely no research or logic to support that social distancing measures will be entirely gone by October. Wedgewood has admitted they are willing to ignore health and safety protocols with leaving social distancing practices up to the "private party." They are acting completely irresponsibly by asking us to gamble with our loved ones safety, which is seriously unethical. These government mandates are in place for a reason, and having a wedding during this time with no vaccine on the horizon is completely reckless and dangerous. Overall we have been completely disappointed in Wedgewood's service, and believe we and many other couples who are set to be married this year are being scammed. We understand the pandemic is no fault of Wedgewood's, nor our own. However, there are plenty of other wedding venues who have been treating their couples with respect during this crisis, and I highly recommend looking there. Also - keep in mind THEY ARE DELETING EVERYONE'S NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON INSTAGRAM AND FACEBOOK.

ound Wedgewood San Clemente. The process and experience leading up to the big day was absolutely fantastic. Wedgewood gives you everything you need to be organized - a binder and check list, reminder emails, calls leading up, in person appointments, and they also host really fun Wedding Fairs during Spring and Summer time. I recommend going to these - I was able to score free stuff, and try most of the food out ahead of time! As for the big day, I couldn't have asked for a better venue or team. They made us feel like a million bucks - the food was phenomenal, the DJ (DJ Gavin) EXCEEDED our expectations, our flowers turned out absolutely gorgeous, the cake was everything I could have asked for and more, and our decor was set up perfectly by the Wedgewood team. There is not a single bad thing I could possibly say. If you are lucky enough to score Keena as your coordinator - you will LOVE her! The whole team in general is phenomenal, and every time I spoke with someone, emailed, or met with the team I received phenomenal service and overall advice. All of the ladies are down to earth, and there just to HELP you. Going through Wedgewood made wedding planning so easy and I am beyond excited we got married here. Could not recommend this enough!

Also, we were afraid it was going to rain on us but we didn’t worry because they already had a backup plan to bring everything indoors. Thank goodness it didn’t! Overall, if you are looking for somewhere to get married that is affordable, great staff and in a beautiful location, Wedgewood San Clemente is your place!
