Sand Petal Weddings came into our lives shortly after deciding we wanted a beach wedding at our most favorite place on earth; Turtle Beach, Sarasota. The options were plenty but after reading through some reviews and doing a little research surrounding possibilities it was clear to me we needed the experience that Nikki and her team offer. Our wedding day turned out magnificently and exceeded all of our expectations! Every little detail was ironed out and taken care of by the Sand Petal team! With over 30 people needing to find their way to the beach and be seated for our Gulf Coast nuptials we could have been stressing but we were confident Nikki had everything under control! Planning a wedding from another state takes a lot of trust in someone and Nikki never wavered. We had perfect weather, the perfect setup and everyone Nikki connected us with to put the extra details of the day into place was there and flawlessly executed our service! We would recommend Sand Petal Weddings to anyone looking to have a beach wedding in Florida! Their service was first class from beginning to end.

From getting my permits for the beach wedding, made a package that fit my budget, got all the venders and plan a beautiful day for me and my husband. I’ve been in communication with Nikki for over a year. She has been amazing! Any time I had a problem she found a solution. I didn’t have to worry about anything during the process or the day of the wedding. If I had to redo my day again I would definitely hire Nikki with Sand Petal Weddings.

ke with Nikki for over and hour and she answered all my many questions, with patience and grace. This was before she even knew if i would be using her company. To say that Nikki is an amazing coordinator and host is an understatement. I called Nikki want times during the year we planned the wedding. She was always quick to call me back and she always made sure I was satisfied with her answers. She made planning my daughter's wedding stress free. Nikki called me several times the three weeks before the wedding to make sure our selections were exactly what we wanted.
Now to time day of the wedding. It was raining cats and dogs an hour before the wedding was due to start. I prayed for God to clear the skies for my daughter special day and he did. Due to it raining so close to the time of the wedding, Nikki and hee team has to scramble to get things set up in time. They did an excellent job and you would have never known that it had poured down raining just an hour ago.
From the ceremony to the reception Nikki and her team made my daughter's dreams come true. All the vendors that work with Sand Petals were amazing as well.
My daughter's wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and it was delicious. All our family and friends were asking the name of the company that we used. We had about 6p family and friends fly in from all over the U.S. The majority of us flew in from Michigan. My daughter's wanted to be married on white sandy beach and having Sand Petals as our coordinator make thing even better.
If you live in Sarasota, Florida or if you are planning a destination wedding, you should use Sand Petals as your coordinator. Trust me when I say you will not he disappointed. If I could give them 10 stars out of 5 that would still nit be a high enough rating foe this company.
Before I end this review. I would like to tell Niiki just hiw much I appreciated her for making my daughter day so special and foe taking the stress from us. Nikki you ans your team are amazing. But I have to say that your team would not be as amazing as they are without the leadership from you.

The food and cake were delicious. We choose to use a steel drummer for the ceremony and he played the songs we selected so beautifully and really set the island tone. The wedding planner and her team had the ceremony run so smoothly and no interruptions from your typical public beach guests. The photographer and videographer were the best I’ve ever seen. They were different companies but they worked amazing as a team and they were super personable and patient. I’ve already received a sneak peek of the photos and they are priceless. When we arrived at the reception, Nikki and her team were so organized and so extremely catering to us. I never had to question anything through out the night or even worry. I got to sit back and enjoy my guests and live in the moment. The DJ was hype and had a great vibe to keep people dancing and having fun. Nikki and her team made sure to accommodate every request we made and truly let us leave that night in AWE at how amazing it all turned out. t for us. The entire process leading up to the wedding was literally worry-free. Their most basic package contained everything we needed and then some. I loved the sand ceremony and the shell toss!
Sand Petal is also one of the only vendors in the area that allows you to book the ceremony and reception separately. If you're shopping around, you know that struggle. The beach reception from Sand Petal wasn't something we could handle financially (though the price was far from unreasonable) and being able to hold a reception elsewhere was a lifesaver.
About a week before our wedding, a tropical storm was set to blow through on our date. Nikki was great at staying in touch and helping us find the backup solutions we needed. They will do as much as possible to make sure your wedding is on the beach, the exceptions being a literal hurricane. We were able to set our backup location across town, and Nikki immediately got in touch with our coordinator to solidify the backup plans.
The tropical storm passed us JUST in time and we were able to have our dream wedding. It was indescribably beautiful. A slightly rainy morning meant the beach was practically empty, so they put us right up against the water.
Bonnie, the officiant, was lovely. You have plenty of time to answer her questions before the wedding. She was so kind and sweet, and everyone in our audience adored her. She also filed our marriage certificate for us, so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
If you're looking for an affordable Sarasota wedding that still looks amazing, Sand Petal is a great option. Could not recommend them enough.

e and spoke to an agent, and thought I was getting a great deal along with great service. Prior to booking, my rep was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. However, when you book with this company, the hotel recommendations are not as advertised. I made the initial deposit only to find out that some of the hotels they “partner” with don’t even offer to hold weddings any longer. Some require to be booked for 2 weeks or require the entire location to be rented (mind you, I only have 25 guests) and one location, I couldn’t reach because the phone number was out of service. My plan was to use one of these locations to make the process as easy as possible. I expected this to be a fun and exciting time and this company has ruined this for me. Now I have to call multiple locations in FL (where do I even begin) and find out all of the necessary information. I paid $3,900 for the deposit and the company is refusing to refund any money even though no work was done. (They don’t start planning until about 60 days out from your wedding.) I don’t expect all of the funds back but due to the false advertising, it would be nice if we could meet somewhere in the middle. Also, the rep mentioned that I booked during one of the busiest months so they shouldn’t have a hard time rebooking my wedding date but they still are refusing to fix the problem. I now have to go through court proceedings while trying to plan my wedding. Please don’t make the mistake that I did.

ility of the client to secure accommodation/hotel venue location and verify all conditions with the hosting property. This was clearly stated in our communication to you. We apologize that you did not complete proper due diligence and verify the requirements of the desired hotel host location prior to booking. Suffice to say, Sand Petal Weddings shouldn’t be held accountable for this oversight.
Our list of hotels merely contains suggested options in our region. Sand Petal Weddings does not contract for accommodation with our clientele. We provide guidance for you to make an informed decision. The hotel list gets updated periodically. It was sent to you in June, 2021 and hotels can certainly change their room requirements, blackout dates and regulations, especially now during the pandemic, which we have no control over.
Not all of the hotels on the list might fit with our clients' requirement and budget and is why the client can also choose a public beach (Siesta or Lido) or any other beachfront hotel/house within our service area (provided, the property management grants permission).
Based on conversations from the inception, you desired a Siesta Key wedding and only one Siesta Key location on our suggestion site list is no longer allowing weddings (due to new direction by members of the board) and regardless, November is a blackout month for this property anyway. All other suggested Siesta Key locations are still permitting weddings.
Deposits are distributed to our vendors to reserve the date and it is when the planning begins. The non refundable deposit is not payment for the actual work that will be done on the wedding day, but payment for the planning and coordinating already actioned before the event even takes place.
We have options in place for you so that you do not lose your deposit, which have been dismissed.
We have the utmost respect from our clientele and have provided beautiful weddings to highly satisfied customers for years, and this is represented through having been awarded The Best of Weddings by the Knot year after year. Please note this review is an anomaly.

he was always there via email or phone call to answer any questions we had. Every single piece of the wedding we designed Sand Petal Weddings and Nikki came through from the design of the chairs and bows on them, to the 4 bamboo post fabric tied down with starfish design, to the palms lining the aisle, to the shell toss, to the violinist, to the photographer, and the officiant Nikki attention to detail is out of this world. moved up to an earlier time of day d/t weather; Nikki walked us through all the options and helped us make to best decision for our day - it turned out beautifully! Not only did we have to gather our guests for an earlier event, Nikki had to get the crew moving for set up and ensure the cellist would be available as well.
She took care of it all so we could focus on ourselves and our guests. Kathy assisted with the ceremony as well, and provided the guidance for it all to run smoothly. Received rave reviews about the yummy cake too, so very pleased with the bakery used.
