Every detail, every space, and every part of the day came together beautifully. The venue provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, while still allowing us to make the day completely our own. It was elegant, welcoming, impeccably maintained, and absolutely stunning from beginning to end.
What truly sets a great wedding venue apart, though, is the people behind it. The staff was professional, accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure the day went smoothly. On a day filled with a million moving pieces, having people you can trust is priceless.
Our daughter’s wedding was everything we hoped it would be—beautiful, joyful, unforgettable, and filled with the people we love most. This venue will forever be part of some of our family’s most treasured memories.

I had the best experience ever with Sandlewood Manor for my wedding this year in June. Of course the beauty of the venue speaks for itself, but the staff, organization and communication during the entire process was amazing. I loved that the venue was owned by a couple and not by a bigger company. I could feel that they truly cared about each client and wanted the process to be as stress free as possible for me. In order to help our couples with the planning day process we have made it easy by offering some of the major items in-house such as beverages and food. In addition, our Bar Manager has been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years and is sure to make you and your guests happy all night long!
Since Sandlewood only allows one event per day so our couples get the entire 27-acre estate property to themselves for their big day. This day is truly all about you! Sandlewood has four horses on the property, two of which are Secretariat's granddaughter and great-granddaughter. The chapel and reception areas were just as amazing, creating the perfect setting for such an important day. From the very beginning, we felt the warmth of the property and knew this was the place where we wanted to get married and celebrate with our loved ones.
The entire Sandlewood Manor team was amazing, but one person consistently stood out—Macey. From our very first visit, she was incredibly welcoming and made us feel like she was genuinely happy to help us. During our walkthrough, my wife and I were truly taken aback by her kindness, professionalism, and hospitality.
What stood out most was her consistency throughout the entire process—from walking us through signing the contract, to checking in with us almost monthly to make sure we had everything we needed, all the way to being there for us on our wedding day. She was always present, ready to help, and made the entire planning process feel smooth and stress-free.

asure to work with. They were also very upfront with costs. I kept hearing other people talk about hidden costs with their venues, but we didn’t have that issue with Sandlewood. Our wedding planner and many of our vendors were familiar with the venue and had done other weddings there, which I think helped things run even more smoothly. They allow you to do an engagement shoot at Sandlewood as well when you book with them, and at first we were hesitant to do our engagement photos in the same place as our wedding, but we’re really glad we ended up doing those photos at Sandlewood. They turned out so wonderfully, and we got to do different shots and locations than our wedding, so they didn’t seem duplicative.
The wedding itself went very smoothly. The bridal suite and groom quarters are both amazing, and there are so many fantastic spots for photos. There’s also a cute little elevator so if you have a large dress that makes it difficult to use the stairs, this is a great option.
They also have horses and let you do a horse feeding station for your wedding at no added cost (other than the de minimis cost of buying the apples and carrots).
We had such an amazing time having our wedding here. We are so so happy we chose Sandlewood! Absolute dream venue!

Choosing a Thursday wedding was a fantastic decision to help save on costs, and Sandlewood Manor made it feel just as grand as a weekend celebration. The venue's team ensured that every detail was executed flawlessly, leaving us and our guests in awe.
We were encouraged to use their caterer, LaRue Catering & Events. We were given the option to bring in our own catering company for a buyout fee, but we chose to use LaRue and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic!
One thing to note is that outside liquor is not permitted, so we opted for their selection. While this was an initial concern for us, their offerings were extensive, and the quality was top-notch. The staff were all extremely friendly and on top of everything.
Overall, Sandlewood Manor provided a picturesque venue for our celebration. The venue's attention to detail, flexibility with vendors, and overall professionalism contributed to a beautiful and memorable event. We highly recommend Sandlewood Manor to any couple looking to create their own magical moments!

Since this wasn’t supposed to be allowed, we argued that we were first and should honor us first. They wouldn’t honor our request and gave our date right out from under us to the other party the next day. Great lack of integrity and following their own rules. Wouldn’t recommend

Now let me detail the most important part. The staff was out of this world! I felt like I was at Disney World. Ashley and her team worked very hard and are so detailed and dedicated. I was blown away at the service that was provided to me and my husband during that planning and on our wedding day. Ernesto and his bar team are outstanding you can tell they genuinely love what they do and take care in every drink they prepare. Sandlewood’s in house caterer, La Rue was outstanding the food was like nothing I have ever had. Richard and his wait staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to any questions and requests we had.
In honesty the venue alone was out of this world but the people that we had the opportunity to meet while at Sandlewood were one of a kind. We never ran into anyone who was not overly kind and helpful. You can tell every single person there takes a genuine investment in your day and simply loves what they do.

m for one day events. However, if having more than one day at this venue I DO NOT recommend.
Pre Planning: I felt as if my planner and myself were constantly having to contact the venue coordinator to get answers. Never at any point did I feel reassured. I felt like every meeting was completed far too late according to my planner's preferred timeline. The venue coordinator never returned answers or questions when she said she would in a timely matter. I know several details were missed throughout the entire weekend though I personally reminded the venue coordinator throughout meetings. I again never trusted the venue coordinator and had several serious conversations with the owner and was promised that more attention would be given to my wedding and it never was. Again, if you are doing a one day event I definitely think they are more than capable of handling your event, however not for a large cultural multi day weekend.
Issues: Now my wedding unfortunately occurred during very cold temperatures causing many things to malfunction. I do understand weather is outside the control of the venue, however resolutions to problems should be fast and quick, which did not happen at all. These are the following issues and problems I had during my wedding weekend:
-I was promised breakfast (pastries, baked good, something light) all weekend for myself, groom, and my parents....we never got ANYTHING.
-There was no hot water in the bridal suite or main bathroom the WHOLE WEEKEND. So we had to wake up extra early to all take showers one at a time.....it never was fixed the whole weekend.
-The elevator broke and never was fixed during the weekend. My poor mother who has arthritis had to go up and down flights of stairs constantly all weekend.
-On friday night during my event, the bathrooms stopped working, this was probably the most embarrassing issue. However, this is not a norm. It was due to the water freezing due to the temperatures, but still very embarrassing for my guests.
-There was a water leak in the kitchen on thursday night
-Golf cart transportation being provided to the bride was forgotten about unless asked
-The day of the wedding my groom could not get into his quarters until someone woke up and answered our barrage of phone calls even though we were promised the entire property for the weekend
-Our mimosa bar for the morning of the wedding for the bridal suite was forgotten of
-The keg promised to the groom suite morning of the wedding was forgotten of, later promised to be brought out during cocktail hour never was so we never got it at all
-We packed up sunday late morning and again did not have access to the property when we needed to pack up items in the ballroom hall
Again. I do not want this review to seem as if the experience was terrible. It was a dream come true, however I would not suggest this venue for a cultural multi day weekend event. I do however suggest this venue for a one day event. In conclusion, I wish there were more staff readily available to me, vs. me the bride calling and texting them. My planner and I had the absolute worst communication possible with the venue coordinator. It was the most anxiety driven experience ever. It made the wedding planning process a complete nightmare for me.

ad at Sandlewood Manor (SWM). We hoped your schedule would have allowed for us to meet in-person after your event, as originally planned, but we understand that there was a conflict for you, and so it necessitated addressing these things in this format.
Regarding the facility issues that arose during your event, we could not be more sorry!! We understand how disheartening these made your multi-day event, having to deal with these frustrations on our end as well. About breakfast, it was an honest human mistake; while managing the full range of moving parts of your event, it was an oversight and are deeply sorry this caused you distress! The elevator was serviced/inspected on Feb 1, however, a part went out the 2nd day of your event. Due to supply chain issues, we were not able to get it functioning during your event. As mentioned, the weather was the culprit for much of what went awry during the wedding, including water heaters malfunctioning in the Manor. Two of them were replaced less than 24 hours after the initial issue, but again, we were limited due to supply chain.
When we lost water pressure, because of CenterPoint's (CP) equipment issue, we did everything as quickly as possible to resolve this, including dozens of emergency calls to CP to get service outside of regular business hours. When this occurred we had two choices before us: #1- we could have ended the event, contractually. This would have required us to send everyone off-site immediately. #2- keep the party going by utilizing an outside water source to maintain the restrooms. We opted for the second, to keep the celebration moving forward. In all, this was handled in less than 3 hours, including getting CP to the property and resolving the issue completely! Nonetheless, we do understand how upsetting that must have been for you both.
As far as the groom's quarters, it should have remained unlocked except with the code, however all we can do at this juncture is apologize for the unfortunate circumstance and discomfort that it caused him. Because of our liquor license, we are not allowed to serve beer in the Groom's quarters before 7am. The keg and an Old Fashioned bar were provided that evening, for a private cocktail hour for your bridal party in lieu of the AM keg. The bridal party informed us that you cancelled the private cocktail hour without seeing what had been done on your behalf by SWM.
The vendors were told they would have access at 12pm, for post event pick-up, but showed up at 10am, when there was not a staff member present to open the ballroom.
Regarding the venue coordinator, there were over 330 emails back and forth, between her and you, your planner and all involved in your wedding plans, June 2021 until the event, not to mention countless phone calls, in-person and Zoom meetings. We sympathize with your frustration, however, there was no lack of communication on her part, or on our part as the owners, going so far as to give you our personal cell phone number. Our venue coordinator, as well as several staff members went above and beyond for your event: *Complimentary overnight rooms, *Staying onsite throughout the entire event, *Mimosa bar set-up on Day 1 of your event, *Staff coordination, cleaning coordinated, room set-ups and teardowns for all 5 events, *Last minute layout changes from both you and your planner for all 5 events, added coffee stations at last minute requests, *Assisting your vendors with flips per those last minute changes -ie Chai cart, marquee letters, propane heaters, etc. (None of which was our obligation to do), *Heater placement in 24 degree temperatures during outdoor ceremony, *SWM provided a make-up artist in less than 45 minutes after yours canceled.

Whatever your dream wedding looks like, there is a fit for it in one of the locations available for ceremonies at SWM. Not only will your wedding be breathtaking, but you will have the opportunity to work with some of the sweetest people! Shane was my venue concierge and was so helpful and prompt. She made the whole experience incredibly pleasant and made me confident that my wedding day was under control! Additionally, the security team and the cleanup crews were so sweet and friendly. They all made the environment warm and welcoming and all-around peaceful. Lastly, the venue's caterer, LaRue Catering & Events, was the perfect touch to our night! The owner was present on my wedding day and even brought over the horses for me to feed and get some pictures with!
I used their catering, La Rue catering, and Karen was so great to work with. The food was amazing and their service/wait staff delivered 5 star quality service. Trust me, this place is worth it.

The new chapel is perfect and they thought of everything with the restrooms at the front, as well as two double doors for the bride and whoever is walking her down the aisle to get prepped prior to walking down in the AC. It is a blank slate to be decorated however the couple sees fit. The manor house has a piano and the venue has a great recommendation for the player during cocktail hour. (The MOB from my wedding was so glad they added this at the last minute.)
The grooms cottage has a pool and they are able to grill and swim while they are hanging out, it is so nice they have their own space that is not a closet (like a lot of other venues). It is also nice that it is not in the same building as the bride so she can freely walk around the Manor House. The 'Barn' as they called the big reception space is anything but a barn. The chandeliers are to die for and the venue provides all tables and chairs as well as set up and break down of them according to the floor plan you send. The venue comes with staff and if you thought I was babbling before, hold on to your seats! THE STAFF HERE IS AMAZING. The catering staff, the bar staff, the venue staff TRULY went above and beyond on every. Single. Front.
I want to give a very special shout out to Laura, the venue coordinator, for her attentiveness and responsiveness. She is super easy to get along with and very personable. She helped with everything on the venue side and was there anytime I had a quick question or needed anything.
If you're looking for a venue, please go see for yourself everything Sandlewood Manor has to offer, you won't regret it!

lewood, I knew I had to cancel all my other appointments. This venue is GORGEOUS! A Greek-revival style manor house on 27 acres, a pool, a lake and fountain, and horses? Yes Please! We went home and immediately booked our date. Having never planned such a large event in my life, I asked for some vendor recommendations. Not only did Sandlewood present numerous vendors, but offered many in-house services which really put me at ease. Additionally, it was through Sandlewood's recommended vendors that I found my amazing wedding planner. Already, I knew Sandlewood was going to be a GREAT venue. As luck would have it, after almost a year and a half of planning, just as invitation RSVPs started rolling in for my wedding, the COVID19 Pandemic hit the United States with a Fury. Sandlewood worked with me to move my date, and completely accommodate all the last minute changes, including significantly reduced headcount, and exceed both state guideline recommendations and my own safety protocols for a spaced seated dinner for a MUCH smaller and now outdoor wedding. Laura was my main point of contact. She was so amazing, patient, and on top of everything. I understand many vendors felt financial losses due to COVID, but I was treated with the same professionalism when I was planning my large wedding, as I was the more intimate wedding. While there were some changes with venue procedures in the 2 years between booking the venue and the actual event, Shawn and Lauren were nothing but accommodating and helpful. For the actual event, the staff was a dream to work with - everything went smoothly, and the in-house caterers, LaRue Catering, was so DELICIOUS! We had numerous guests tell us they have never had such a delicious meal in their entire life, and that's an understatement. I highly recommend Sandlewood Manor!

our wedding pictures still make our hearts melt. Sandlewood Manor is beautiful, grand, magnificent, and ever so timeless. We knew the day we walked on the grounds we were going to be married there. The staff is so wonderful, caring, and there attention to detail is beyond anything you can ask for. Most of all the venue is sooo peaceful. Even with all the hustle and bustle of the day there was a stillness you could feel while being there that my husband and i felt as the sun set on our day. All of our guests cannot and will never stop talking about our wedding because of how beautiful the setting itself was! To top everything off; the day of the wedding couldn't have been more perfect! The staff members are top notch! Servers were on top of their game making sure all guest were taken care of at all times, the chef accommodated several unexpected dietary restrictions for several of our guests and delivered a delicious meal for all of us, their cleaning staff was on top of everything at all times, their bartenders were their friendliest and served up drinks all night long and very responsibly, their security team was also the very best & their valet service made sure that every single one of our guest was good to go home safely! By far couldn't have asked for a better wedding day; it was a true dream come true and most definitely the wedding of my dreams! I want to send a special shout out to Laura, Sandlewood's Concierge/Coordinator, she was the sweetest and made sure that my day was PERFECT! She guided us for months up until the the day of our wedding. The day of the wedding she assisted my wedding planner all day and made sure that not only was everything perfect for the wedding ceremony and reception but even went out of her way to fluff my dress as I began walking down the aisle. were so lucky and blessed to have our wedding here, our first vendor closed down for business 3 months before our wedding date and after a lot of tears and praying I stumbled on this venue through the Knot. I firmly believe now it was divine intervention. The staff was amazing to work with, they are very organized, detailed oriented, and helped us to find options that fit our budget. I have to say it was a pleasure working with Laura Coward, she made the process so easy , so smooth, and so stress free. I can't thank her and the staff enough, they truly made our dreams come true. I had the opportunity to meet the owners the day of our wedding and they were so nice and were even jumping in and helping drive guest from their cars to the manor. All in all, our guest had the best time we received so many compliments on the venue and execution of our wedding. The actual venue is breathtaking and the perfect place for all the bridal party to get ready. The bridal suit is exquisite and super spacious. The guys have an ever bigger (and cooler) space.. the boys had fun playing games and watching the Astros the day of. My groom even JUMPED IN THE POOL 30 MINUTES BEFORE he had to get ready! I was jealous. Did i mention we got mimosas and the guys got a full keg???
Our wedding was as perfect as it could be and a big part of it was thanks to Sandlewood. The staff was on top of everything, the food was delicious, the service on point and the list just goes on an on.
The involvement of the owners the day of the wedding was the cherry on top for me. They got there early to make sure that everything was up to our liking and walked around to help staff set things up. They even took the time to talk to us and help "ease our nerves."
Thanks for making us feel special and valued! We would pick Sandlewood if we had to do it all over again.

were always available and answered any questions I had. The property is absolutely gorgeous, you don’t need much to enhance it’s beauty. There are many great options for the ceremony locations. We had ours in the pecan orchard which provided the guests with plenty of shade and a beautiful backdrop of the manor house. The cocktail hour in the manor house was gorgeous, everyone commented on how beautiful and unique it was! The bridal suite that is perfect for getting ready with you and your bridesmaids. The groom's quarters were great for my husband and his groomsmen to spend the day in, they have plenty of activities for them. The ballroom is stunning and the food was absolutely delicious. You won’t be disappointed with this venue! Our wedding was truly everything we wanted it to be and more thanks to Sandlewood Manor!

We had our wedding last weekend at the venue. Kerri, Priyanka and the whole team did an amazing job. We’ve had issues with other vendors and they stepped in and picked up the slack when they didn’t have to. They also helped us pick our amazing wedding planner - Alyssa Meeks who made our wedding a dream come true. Our wedding pro team made the whole process so seamless. They accommodated our every request, answered every question, and were by our side throughout the planning process.
The owners of Sandlewood are passionate about what they do and believe in the spirituality of marriage. On our rehearsal night the owners, Shawn and Lauren gave us the sweetest card and prayed for our marriage. Stop looking and call them now, it will be the best decision for your marriage other than that perfect person you picked!
