- landing on December 4th, 2021 at City Winery in New York City. While originally contracting Sara for the month of the wedding, she also supported us with design and my many questions leading up to the event. She created a vision with our florist and venue that allowed us to lean into the holiday season, developing what can only be described as a magic - candles, greenery, pops of red and evergreen trees. Throughout the entire process Sara was attentive, professional, knowledgable and, most importantly, FUN. She took every ounce of stress out of the wedding day and kept our rather large bridal party (18 people + bride and groom) and vendors (shuttles, florists, bakery, photo booth, band, photographers) organized and on time. I feel like I made a friend for life having had the privilege to work with her and I'm looking for excuses to work with her again. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!

ith her on our phone interview, and then were sad to change our plans to a small and intimate destination wedding to a rural island in the Bahamas. As the coordination logistics in getting guests to the Bahamas became more complicated it was clear we needed help, so we immediately called Sara back and booked her. Best decision ever. Sara is, all rolled into one, a highly organized planner, a motivational coach, a cruise ship director, an artistic visionary, a therapist, a masterful negotiator, a shoulder to cry on, and a friend to have a laugh with. We hired Sara three days before our site visit fully expecting to go on our own and she showed up to be there with us — an international trip during Covid — on three days notice. We found out there was no florist on the island - no problem, Sara foraged for flowers and leaves and built our arrangements herself. Our band, makeup artist, priest, and entertainment all threatened to no-show - no problem, Sara made secondary and tertiary plans and never even let us know there was an issue. Sara even signed our marriage license when we ran into some trouble with getting our priest to do it. Probably the best part about working with Sara is that she made us feel like we were the only bride and groom she was handling. Our guests raved about her and her team and she worked tirelessly (literally, 7am to 2am on our wedding day after a whole week of other events) to make sure every detail was perfect. Don’t think twice about hiring Sara, no matter how big or small your wedding. You won’t regret it!

best decision I could've made! Sara helped deliver the vision for my proposal and added high value ideas that really made the proposal! (eg. white rose petals leading to proposal spot and rental of a vintage vehicle to take my fiancé and I from the proposal location to a private dinner – sourced by Sara). She was also really great about keeping me in check about what was reasonable and within the budget we had initially discussed. Furthermore, she developed a “plan B” scenario when bad weather was forecasted leading up to the day, luckily we made it through the proposal with no rain! 30, 2019 at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park (NYC). It helped she's worked many weddings at the venue so she knew the staff and I didn't have to worry about very tedious things like distributing permits required for vehicles to enter Central Park. Her pre-wedding documents helped really solidify any details that I hadn't worked out yet (picture order, timeline of events, carrying cash and snacks etc.). She also has a very authoritative presence, so she had no trouble keeping pictures and videos on time and even early. I had such a flawless day, in large part due to Sara (and her fun assistant, Travis)! It was just such a savior to have Sara there on our wedding day!

The coordination is immense and it's not something you want to be doing yourself on your daughter's wedding day. Enter Sara Landon. Her team of three assistants with CIA like headsets were all over the place making sure everything was going to plan. And they all had this positive, optimistic, can do attitude. No problem was to big including having a car parked in front of the entrance fork-lifted aside. Unbelievable! incredible. We had an entire weekend of events in Lake Tahoe and I was able to enjoy every aspect of it because of Sara. She handled all the little details. Her organization, leadership, and communication made the weekend so easy. She was a huge support when it came to both my mothers reading during our ceremony and my fathers toast. Sara was attentive to our budget throughout the process, giving us periodic warnings about where we might go over and recommending ways to save. She was friendly and positive at every turn, even when we were anxious. She made sure vendor selections went smoothly and gently recommended alternatives where we had ideas that wouldn't have worked. She gave great recommendations in terms of design, rentals, flow of the room, etc. that informed how beautiful the space looked on the wedding day. In the days leading up to the wedding and during the wedding, her and her team's support were absolutely invaluable and made us feel as relaxed as possible while taking care of every last detail so that the wedding went off without a hitch. We cannot thank Sara enough - her services are worth every penny.

Sara made the whole process feel manageable. She helped us come up with a budget that we were comfortable with, suggested fantastic vendors and worked with them directly leading up to the big day (including negotiating on our behalf and saving us lots of $$), and made sure that everything went smoothly on the day of. She spent countless hours in the months leading up to the wedding advising and helping us with everything down to the smallest detail, from building out a detailed schedule of the day, managing the band, photographers and other vendors, to making sure that my grandmothers had comfortable chairs to watch our first dance up close and coordinating props for our photo booth. Sara is extraordinary steady and calming, and was a joy to work with from day one. We had a fairly large wedding (~250) and I was apprehensive going in that it might be overwhelming: Sara made sure that stress was the farthest thing from our minds, and elegantly guided us through the day, including ensuring that we had a few moments to ourselves after the ceremony and before the first dance to decompress. She attended my wedding dress fittings, and made sure that my specifications for tricky custom sleeves were accommodated perfectly, then seamlessly helped me through three wardrobe changes over the course of the night. She has a wealth of knowledge of every wedding-planning related topic under the sun…the list goes on and on: from recommending the best venues nearby to host our wedding after party, to advising me on how to approach changing my name so as not to disrupt honeymoon travel plans, to helping us find the optimal balance of vegetarian/non-vegetarian hors d’ouvres for our cocktail hour. Sara made the entire process not only manageable, but a pleasure. If you want your wedding day to be perfect, I highly, highly recommend going with SL Events — this was the single best planning decision we made!

edding the previous autumn. Without a doubt, Sara's fee was the best money we spent on the wedding. Sara advertises "day-of" coordination, but she was available for the full six or so weeks prior to the wedding to answer questions and manage all logistics. She was also available even earlier than that -- she happily answered a few planning-related questions and provided helpful recommendations. In the month leading up to my wedding, I was not in contact with any of my vendors -- Sara handled it all -- and I felt completely confident handing over the full extent of the logistical work to her. She is calm, collected, flexible, approachable, and fun. She totally understood what my anxieties were, and she made sure that they were all ironed out perfectly. She put together an EPIC timeline for the whole day of the wedding, but more important than that, I didn't even have to look at it once -- she made sure that everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when. All I had to focus on was staying calm and having fun. At the wedding itself, Sara kept me and my husband on task in a positive, energetic, and un-aggressive way; she made sure the night flowed perfectly, but we never felt like we were being rushed or pushed around. Also, Sara and her assistant Eric did the most marvelous job bustling my complicated, over-the-top dress. They made sure that neither my mother nor any other wedding guests had to be taken away from their party to help with this task; and they did a beautiful job at it. And we laughed a lot while they were at it! Summary: Sara is a consummate professional. She is incredibly good at an incredibly difficult job. She is positive, upbeat, understanding, and calming. I cannot imagine what we would have done without her. Hire her; you will not regret it.

Sara expended so much effort throughout our engagement and particularly over the few months leading up to the wedding. Especially the day of, my husband and I were so happy to have Sara and her team there. Efren, in particular, was so attentive and just a true joy to be around. He took care of every detail from my veil and train to my tear-stained eye makeup after the ceremony and kept me and my husband laughing throughout the day. He was also my advocate when I needed a break from pictures or to escape from a conversation. Leading up to the day, she answered all of the questions we had, including some questions related to regular planning. About 4-6 weeks before she took over to reach out to all of our vendors. She contacted all of our vendors, created timelines, and was completely organized to ensure nothing small was forgotten about. On the actual day of, when her and her team went to work it was amazing. I thought I had my very own special operations/green beret team running around tackling anything that came up on our special day, with ear pieces in for communications, and the whole set up. It was awesome. She's worth every penny. The day went smooth and a lot of that likely has to do with the preparation when she takes over before the special day arrives.

coordination. In early June, she stepped in to do design. She never batted an eye about the turn around, and flawlessly executed a beautiful space that stayed exactly within our budget. We did not want to spend too much money on flowers, and she designed a space with lots of greenery that did not feel cheap. She also added a number of classy touches: she encouraged us to welcome our guests ourselves and she made a board of escort cards that matched a family photo collage that was specially featured at our event. She even collected all of the instagram handles for the designers involved in the event. Efren, who worked with us on the day of the ceremony, was phenomenal. He busseled my dress, fixed my makeup, and helped our pre-wedding photos go off without a hitch. He fit in so well with my friends and family that everyone wanted to know more about him! Sara's firm yet not overbearing hand was an excellent addition and allowed us to enjoy this fantastic event.

hough Sara was technically only my “month of” coordinator, she really was there for me throughout the entire process. If I had questions on vendors, timing, or even where to buy stuff for the wedding she was always only an email away. So many of our vendors were just so great and they were all recommendations from Sara. The month of the wedding, Sara basically took over all of our logistics. All of those big question marks I had on how things would get done and be taken care of she did it all! She made contact with all vendors and organized a timeline down to the minute. She is not only organized and knowledgeable about all wedding things related, but she is also very creative and gave us some of the best ideas for our wedding that guests are still complimenting us on. I would love to take the credit, but as I tell everyone, it was all Sara. When the wedding day came, my husband, our families and myself were able to just let go, because we knew Sara and her team had it more than under control. We got married on a day that hit record temperatures at 110 degrees in NYC. During that entire time, Sara and her teams worked so hard to keep us comfortable and cool. They were standing there, putting ice packs on everyone with a big smile on all of their faces. At the venue, her team set everything up for us: delivering the hotel bags, unpacking our centerpieces, organizing our candy bar. At the end of the night, they not only collected everything, but brought it all to our apartment THAT NIGHT so we didn't have to go back to the venue the next day! She took care of all the gratuity envelopes for my parents so that they could enjoy the wedding and not worry about who they had to tip. People tell you before you get married to just be prepared for something to go wrong the day of, because it most certainly will. I have to say, my husband and I had a flawless wedding and I truly believe it was all because we had Sara behind the scenes. If there is anything you should include in your budget, it is to have SL Events.

Sara and her assistant were close by with a stick ready to go! We could not have asked for a more amazing planner for our wedding. She is incredibly reliable and every correspondence or specific detail promised to me, from a mock-up schedule to follow-up on a phone conversation, was delivered in a timely manner. g. It was without question the best decision we ever made. When you meet with Sara you'll see that she has amazing taste, but also has the ability to work within a budget. She was always providing recommendations on vendors to work with and always working in our best interest to get us the quality we desired at the price points we needed.
