We booked Sarah after seeing what a great job she did with my husband’s sister’s wedding. BEST MONEY WE SPENT. Sarah handled literally everything so we didn’t have to lift a finger on our wedding day. The weather did some crazy things on our wedding day and I am sure there are countless fires she put out that we never heard about. I left buckets of decor at the venue and she set everything up so beautifully. Sarah helped us problem solve throughout the planning process, and is responsive and so smart. Our photographers have done over 780 weddings, and made a point to tell us what an awesome planner we hired from the vendor perspective. Sarah goes above and beyond- she even drove all our wedding stuff to our Airbnb late at night (with poor cell signal) after the wedding ended. Most of all, she made it fun!

Let’s just start with this - Sarah has the patience of an ANGEL. My now husband and I had venue changes, date changes, time changes, etc and Sarah continued to roll with everything that we requested and helped us to plan the most beautiful wedding we could have dreamed of. We planned our wedding from Long Island, NY which made things a bit more challenging but Sarah was continuously available and made us feel like we were planning from the same state. She went above and beyond to do what we could not (like our food tasting) since we were out of state. People are still talking about how beautiful everything came together! I have no sense of theme and detail, so we trusted Sarah with all of that. She kept us included in her ideas, and always made sure we were all on page with her thoughts. She would facetime us whenever we needed and was always available if we had any questions! Sarah is so truly talented and the sweetest ever. We could not have been more happy with our decision to trust her with our special day. Her knowlege of the industry and her experience is everything you want in your Wedding Planner!

I have no idea where to even begin describing how wonderful Sarah is, but what we can say for sure is if Sarah Duckworth isn’t your wedding planner, you’re doing it wrong!! We met Sarah right before COVID hit with our initially planned wedding to happen in November 2020. When we inevitably had to delay our wedding to 2021, Sarah didn’t miss a beat. She contacted all of our vendors to make sure they could cover our new date and helped us with the rescheduling at the Ballantyne. She kept in contact with us over the two years we worked with her to see how we were feeling and what she could do to help us. When the summer 2021 COVID surge hit, she answered MANY tear-filled phone calls with dramatic plans to cancel the wedding entirely and elope. She listened to our concerns and calmed us (mostly me…) down without making us feel like we were a burden. Our venue initiated construction, had us move ceremony locations three times, and we had to massively downsize our wedding; All of these made us stressed, but Sarah handled each change and bump in the road with grace. As our December wedding date approached, Sarah was even more incredible than I could have ever imagined. She made all of our wedding dreams come true. She truly out did herself with design, events, timeline, and making every moment over our wedding weekend special. Whether it was our Welcome Dinner, reception, or afterparty, she made it PERFECT. When we walked into our reception for the first time, we were brought to tears. Sarah took our ideas and blew them up 5,000-fold while staying within our budget – Something we could never do ourselves and I am guessing few planners have the talent to do what she did for our wedding. Matt and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day. I cannot express our gratitude for this. We were able to remain present and soak up every single moment without worrying about ANYTHING. Sarah is a force. She had a newborn during the peak of our wedding planning process and didn’t miss a beat. She had a baby on her hip and our documents in the other hand, ready to take on whatever came next. We are incredibly lucky to have met Sarah. Not only is she an amazing wedding planner, but an amazing woman. We feel lucky to have a new friend in her as we leave our two years of wedding planning!

We love Sarah! I talked to 12 wedding planners prior to booking Sarah & I am so glad I was careful with my choice; we couldn't have had a more flawless wedding day. After our first call, she sent a full document (photos included) of how she envisioned the day, based on our conversation, and she nailed it. She then hand-selected an A list vendor team to execute it and I didn't have to do much other than sign the contracts and coordinate payment. For the little details, were able to talk to her throughout the entire planning process and she was incredible to bounce ideas off of, as she would give us her honest suggestions or ideas. Things outside of anybody's control are going to stress you out while planning a wedding (guest lists, collecting addresses, seatings charts, mail times, etc.) and I am so glad my stress stopped there because I knew all the logistics and important items were covered by Sarah. Whenever people ask for wedding advice, without a doubt, I always lead with "get a planner" and if they are in the Carolinas, I also say "and make it Sarah Duckworth!" I was able to be relaxed my entire wedding weekend and be truly present in all moments of celebration because I wasn't responsible for anything other than just that - and that is what you can't put a price on.

Working with Sarah was such a lifesaver! I chose to do the partial planning package and it was worth every penny. From the beginning, Sarah helped me narrow down vendors and supported all of my choices. She handled all the logistics of planning, cancelling and re-planning 3x over due to COVID. She was professional, punctual and organized throughout our entire process. I wouldn't have been able to do this without her!

If you are looking for someone who is professional, gracious and amazing at what they do, Sarah is your person! Being new to the area and having a demanding job I knew I needed help planning our wedding. She was there for me from start to finish, being patient with me and answering all the questions/concerns I had. The day of the wedding we had to switch the reception from outside to inside due to weather. The last minute change was handled perfectly and it all turned out beautifully. Chad and I were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without a worry in the world. Our day was absolutely perfect and we can never thank Sarah enough for all that she did.

After getting engaged, our daughter that lives in California decided that she wanted to get married in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, an area special to her and her fiance. I knew a wedding planner was a MUST for this long distance wedding. Sarah Duckworth was the planner our daughter decided to use and little did I know that she would be not only be a wonderful planner but she would also become a special part of our family. Planning a wedding and coordinating all the details during COVID was needless to say a little stressful for me. Sarah constantly reassured me that everything would work out and did it ever!! We went from 200 guests to 20 guests and the day of the wedding could not have been more beautiful or more perfect! We had the wedding at our home and everyone that has seen the wedding pictures said it was one of the most gorgeous weddings they have ever seen! Thank you Sarah for making our daughters wedding so beautiful and so special in every way!!

Being a covid bride, I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown on the daily. On top of that, I live in California and our wedding was being planned across the country in NC! Sarah helped me to stay calm throughout the process and literally took care of EVERYTHING! We had to change plans 3 different times due to changing covid stipulations, and ended up changing from a 200 person indoor mountain wedding, to 20 person intimate celebration in my parents backyard. We knew we didn’t want to wait any longer to get married, and the intimate celebration ended up being the absolute right decision for us. To say the day was perfect is an understatement...I didn’t have to lift a finger or think of anything because it was like Sarah read my mind (which is hard to do because I can be very indecisive...) Every single detail was perfect - the tent, the flowers, the set up, etc! Her organization and support throughout the process was outstanding, and I am forever grateful to her for helping us have our perfect day. Even though it wasn’t what we had originally planned it felt like it was meant to be the whole time. We love Sarah and she is now forever an honorary member of our family!

I don't know where to start...we couldn't have executed our wedding without Sarah! Hiring a wedding planner was without a doubt the #1 BEST thing we spent money on! Sarah doesn't let anything get in her way of achieving the vision and dreams you have for your big day. Being a Covid bride required us to postpone our date, change venues 1 month out, and reduce our guest list from 130 to 25 and Sarah handled it all with ease. As a bride you already have so many things to juggle, throughout the planning process, so having Sarah around to take the burden off of our shoulders and help with big and little decisions made it so much more enjoyable and less stressful. She is trustworthy and creative! If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, I can't stress enough how worth it is. Not only for the planning, but to fully be present and enjoy your actual wedding day with no worries.

Sarah is THE BEST!!! We loved working with Sarah right from our initial conversation. She made us feel comfortable and she understood our vision along with our budget. Due to COVID-19, we had to change our wedding date and then 2 weeks before our new wedding date we ended up changing our venue. I was concerned about all of these changes and the stress that would come along with them, but Sarah stepped right in and took charge of making all the changes for us. She was a listening ear when I needed someone to talk to about my worries, provided great advice and suggestions. I really feel like Sarah went above and beyond what we hired her for and we felt like our event really mattered to her. Our wedding turned out perfect, we could not have pulled it with off without Sarah!!

Where do I even begin... SARAH IS A ROCKSTAR! If you aren't aware of the devastating world pandemic currently occurring, you must live under a rock. Getting married during said pandemic is even worse. If it wasn't for all of the stress that came with fielding non-stop cancellation phone calls the day before my wedding, I know I would have had a worry-free wedding weekend because Sarah had it covered. We hired Sarah for Month-of Coordination and it was worth every penny. You'll probably read this review and think it is a joke, but my band's van holding all of their music equipment was caught in the cross-hairs of a gang war shoot out in Nashville, TN the day before my wedding. DURING my rehearsal, they called Sarah to tell her they didn't think they would be able to make it for the Ceremony or Reception. Sarah worked with my sister completely behind the scenes and figured it out. I was blissfully ignorant to all of this until after my wedding and my guests spilled the beans during my reception (which my band was at, so it didn't matter!). They rented a Uhaul truck right before they closed and waited until the Police allowed them past the yellow tape to get their equipment and drove through the night to arrive in Charlotte on time. Sarah was quick on her feet to think of the Uhaul and handled such a bizarre scenario like a CHAMP! In addition, my venue triple booked events (a dinner function Friday, my wedding Saturday, and another wedding Sunday) and at the time, didn't have a preferred rental company. I was the first to book and in the middle of everything, they got a preferred vendor and requested we all use them. Sarah took what I wanted and my vision for the overall event and ran with it helping execute the switch between the two vendors and ordering everything we needed to make the Brewery look STUNNING without wasting any of the money I had already spent with the first company! The space was completely transformed and absolutely beautiful. Sarah has a true talent and vision for design, spacing and layout for a great flow, and gorgeous execution. We did have a 2 guests complain that she was snippy/bossy to them at the end of the night when they were trying to take our flowers home, but that is part of what we paid her to do and manage! She is sweet as can be, but knows how to run the show and not get walked all over. You need someone like that to execute your dreams! All in all, Sarah is fantastic and you would be remiss to not hire her too.

Sarah was a key part in keeping our day tied together! From the big vendor decisions to the day of details, her eye for design and budget was helpful. She especially helped to make the overwhelming wedding industry as a whole, feel more manageable. We had no idea how to bring our ideas and vibe together but with her guidance, our day was exactly what we pictured and then some!

Sarah was hired as my month-of-coordinator, and I am so grateful that I hired her!! We had several meetings leading up to my wedding, and she made sure every detail was accounted for. She made wedding planning, especially the last month, a complete breeze. I felt completely stress free leading up to my wedding, and the day of was absolutely flawless. I know this was due to Sarah’s hard work that she puts into helping clients every day. I would definitely recommend Sarah to family or friends. If anyone wants to be completely relaxed leading up to their wedding, and enjoy their wedding do (as they should) hire Sarah, she is completely worth it!!!!

Sarah was an amazing wedding planner. The best compliment I can give is that our wedding day was absolutely fantastic. It was exactly what we envisioned. We got to enjoy drinks and dinner with our friends and family and danced the entire night, which most couples don't get the pleasure of doing. We were lucky enough to actually enjoy our wedding reception, which is all due to Sarah. We knew Sarah was a great fit from the start. She took the time out to meet us for coffee to discuss our vision for our wedding before we chose her as our planner, which was above and beyond what other planners did. From there she was great about keeping in contact whenever we needed her and she worked in the background on all the details to make our wedding fantastic. People raved about all the personal touches we put into our reception which Sarah did a great job executing. She has amazing contacts for vendors and we couldn't have been more pleased with them and with how Sarah coordinated all the efforts. Lastly Sarah is a sweet, amazing person. Not only did she plan our wedding, but she sent us "perk up" gifts to keep our energy going through the long process. After the wedding, we reflected and said that there wasn't one thing we would have changed about our special day. That's the best testament we could ever give to Sarah. She made our day exactly what we wanted it to be and we can't thank her enough.

When I first got engaged and started the planning process I was torn on whether or not to hire a wedding planner. I did my research and met with a few. After meeting Sarah I immediately knew she was the planner for us! I needed someone to help but not fully design our wedding. I knew what I wanted, just not always how to make it happen. Sarah was EXACTLY what I needed! She was very informative and helped me from picking certain vendors to staying on track with when to send out invites. Communication I have to say is key in wedding planning and Sarah was always on it! If you needed a phone call or to meet in person, she was always willing. On a creative side, since my husband is in racing, she suggested using racetrack names as table numbers instead of actual "numbers". We LOVED this idea and how it made our day custom to us. She was also great at suggesting ways to make your day not the same as every other wedding. From table linens to guestbook options, she has an eye for things that go well together and once she gets to know you, she nails your vision! She was great through the planning process, but where she really shines is week of and day of your wedding. OMG was she awesome! I was so worried about things going wrong, décor being where it should, etc. She did EVERYTHING I wanted and more. Morning of the wedding she came to my rental home bright and early to check on me and make sure I didn't need anything. Needless to say my nerves were getting the best of me this morning, Sarah was right there for support and assured me how perfect this day was about to be...and was she ever right. Once I arrived at the venue all my worries vanished because everything was perfect. Décor, place settings, timing....our wedding day was executed the way WE wanted, and went FLAWLESSLY, all thanks to Sarah. She did such an excellent job communicating with all our vendors prior to make sure everyone was on the same page and would know the flow of how the wedding day would go. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we can never thank Sarah enough for making that happen!

My husband and I keep talking about how wonderful our wedding day was. Sarah was a huge part of making our day so special and easy. Sarah was our month of planner and helped us with a few design details and recommendations during the planning process. She was incredibly responsive and always positive. She works so hard for her bride and groom and made sure we had all we needed throughout the day. She even made sure we had leftovers to take home at the end of the night. She always had good recommendations and smart suggestions when questions came up. She handled everything with our vendors the day of and week before, and I had peace of mind knowing everything was taken care of, which allowed me to focus on marrying the man of my dreams. Sarah was AMAZING! Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made. I can get really anxious really quickly. Having her assistance really made the wedding planning process a breeze. The day of, I was SO relaxed. Sarah was the point of contact and not one vendor came to me to ask questions. I was truly able to just enjoy the day and let it all soak in. In hind-site, I don’t know how she did it! Our photography timeline, decoration timeline, ceremony, catering, and reception flowed together so seamlessly. KerenP Sarah is amazing!! From the very first time we met I knew she would be the one we would hire. She answered all my questions, walked me through the process and even made me think about things I had not thought of. It was a plus that she has done many weddings at the venue we decided on. I have so many glowing things to say that I'm not even sure where to start. Sarah made me feel so comfortable from the moment we had our consultation call. She took my scattered ideas and crafted a vision board for our wedding that perfectly matched what I had been imagining. From there, she helped craft perfect details that made our day unique -- from invitations and menu cards to custom linens and photo backdrops. Not to mention, she was incredibly thoughtful of our budget (and the groom) through the whole process. I could not recommend this sweet, wedding savvy woman enough!

We had a 4 month engagement, and I have to say hiring Sarah as our month-of coordinator was THE best decision we made. Not only is she incredibly organized and thorough, but she's simply a JOY to be around. We had quite the shock one week before our wedding when our reception venue called to cancel on us due to a failed fire inspection. Not only were we out a venue, but it was Christmas week when so many people were out of pocket. Sarah was in touch EVERY day leading up to our event, even on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. She kept us calm, cool, and collected and helped us pull off the venue change seamlessly. On the day of the wedding, she was everywhere at once. We felt so at ease knowing that she had things under control. My mom loves to tell the story of how when Kyle and I left the reception in our getaway car, Sarah SPRINTED down the street after us with our food and gift bag in hand, just to ensure we didn't spend the night hungry! That's one of many examples of how committed she was to making that day perfect for us. It's a pleasure to know her, and if I could give her 6 stars, I truly would! You will not regret hiring her!

Words can't describe how amazing our experience with Sarah Duckworth Events was! Easily the best decision we made during our 14 month engagement was hiring Sarah. Not only does she have a natural talent for event design, an impeccable attention to detail, and top notch organizational skills - what really stood out to us was that she felt like a friend we had known for years that truly had our best interest at heart, and that's something that can't be learned. From the first phone conversation, we just felt so comfortable with her. She is personable, kind, warm, and a true class act. When we first got engaged, I never thought I needed a wedding planner but as I dove into picking vendors and trying to come up with a vision, it quickly became overwhelming! I knew I wanted to enjoy being engaged and not feel stressed out for over a year! So I connected with Sarah based off of my venue's (Foundation For The Carolinas) referral and never looked back. From our first meeting, I was so impressed with her and that feeling continued throughout the entire process. She listened to what we wanted, then took our vision and literally made it come to life. She also had such great ideas about how to enhance our vision and make it even better, that I never would have thought of on my own. She was instrumental in helping with vendors, making sure everything stayed on track throughout the 14 months, and just being a life line for me, lol! I can't tell you how many times I had mini freak out moments (brides, even if you are the most laid back person ever, it will happen!!!), and Sarah always knew exactly what to say or do and made me feel so much better. On wedding day, I felt so incredibly calm and at ease because I knew Sarah was there and had everything under control. Leading up to the big day, I kept hearing "something will go wrong!" from people who had recently been married, but if it did, I have no idea about it because Sarah handled it. Our day was flawless. The timeline she created kept everything on schedule which was so important to us. She was so helpful pre-ceremony, during wedding party and family portraits, with rounding up all of our bridesmaids/groomsmen and our large families and that carried over to the ceremony and reception as well. Several of our vendors told us how much they appreciated that we had hired a true professional to help the day go smoothly. She checked on my husband and I all day long, and made sure we ate at the reception. Anything we needed, she was there taking care of it. And the same went for every single one of our guests! My husband and I didn't worry about a single thing on our wedding day, because Sarah was there. Everything about our day was perfect and I have no doubt that Sarah and her team made that happen! We are FOREVER grateful for her and seriously cannot recommend her enough. We continue to have friends and family tell us that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to, with the sweetest and most thoughtful details that were so true to us as a couple, and then they go on to mention Sarah by name and say how much they loved her! If that isn't a true testament, I don't know what is! Your wedding is one of the biggest days of your life and probably the biggest event you will ever hold - making the investment for a wedding planner is *almost* the best decision you will make... the best decision you will make is hiring Sarah Duckworth Events!!!

After working with Sarah at her own wedding, I am not surprised that she has gone into planning weddings! She is detail oriented and a true professional. From day one of the planning process, Sarah was our rock. During our initial meeting she took notes as we described what our dream wedding would be. Over the next nine months, Sarah turned our dreams into a reality. She helped us hand pick each vendor as well as individual design elements which lead to a truly remarkable event. Sarah was extremely organized throughout the entire process and kept our budget in mind with each decision that was made. She worked extremely hard to ensure that the ceremony and reception were a reflection of our taste and personalities - even using items from our house to decorate for the cocktail party. We are now more than two weeks past our wedding but are still talking about how flawless it was. The thing that impressed me the most about Sarah was her ability to multi-task and think outside of the box. Every time we had a question, Sarah had the answer because she was 10 steps ahead of us and the few times we thought we had a crisis, she had a solution before the conversation ever ended. This made for a completely stress free planning process and allowed us to soak in each and every moment. The day of the wedding was flawless. Literally, all we had to do was show up and everything was perfect. Sarah worked so hard that day and if it is even possible for one person to be in four different places at once, she was! We are still talking about our wedding day and so is everyone who attended. If there were any mishaps at all on the day of, we still have no idea about them and that is exactly how it should be. Prior to our wedding, our friends kept asking if we were stressed out yet and our answer was always no. As it got closer, we were still not stressed a single bit but so many people kept saying that the best part of their wedding day was when it was over and they were stress free. We are happy to report that thanks to Sarah, we never felt an ounce of stress and if we had the option, we would live in that day over and over and over again.
