I have been going here for the last 20 years. They are awesome and have a friendly, helpful staff. I bought engagement ring and wedding rings. They are just the best.

I've been a customer of Sarah Leonard for the past 17 years (the timeframe speaks for itself). Truly wonderful staff, competitive prices, and an amazing selection of traditional, vintage, and eclectic styles. I'll often be looking for one particular item, find it, but then be drawn in by something totally different... yet equally unique and gorgeous. It's a dangerous place to be for the "Wow, I didn't know I needed that, but turns out I absolutely do" kind of purchase! Lots of love for this team. We found Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers on this website and from about 50 wonderful Yelp! reviews. My fiance and I are not native to the LA area and were just searching around for trustworthy businesses in our area, and it was an amazing find!! The minute I walked in I immediately felt comfortable and at home. The level of customer service was impeccable. They offered us coffee and water, sat us down, and let us take our time browsing their beautiful collections. I had a family diamond that we needed to have a custom setting made for, and they offered us dozens of options. We felt like Dean really listened to what we wanted and had a great sense of my individual style and ideas. The designer we chose was even local to LA and now I have a one-of-a-kind design ring, exactly what I wanted. Once we had chosen a ring, he kept my fiance up to date on the process and talked him through everything, helping him keep it a surprise. The ring looks gorgeous and we look forward to going back to Sarah Leonard for our wedding bands and other celebration shopping!

Sarah Leonard is a place my husband and I go to purchase new jewelry. We originally chose Sarah Leonard to appraise my engagement ring due to the close proximity of our home, but due to the positive first experience, we have kept returning to purchase additional items. They have an excellent selection of jewelry (both vintage and new) and the customer service is unmatched. Dean helped my husband with some gifts for me and he had wonderful things to say. Dean and his team at Sarah Leonard are the "go-to" jewelers for our entire family. Not only do they consistently have beautiful and unique pieces, but they treat all customers as though they are part of their family-run business.

I had talked to numerous jewelers before I met Dean but once I started talking to him I knew he was the right person to help design the ring for my wife. I wanted to custom design a tacori engagement ring. I was able to tell Dean what I envisioned and he helped my fiancé make my vision come alive. My ring is absolutely stunning. It is beautiful and exactly what we had talked about! It turned out even better than I imagined and I am still staring at it nonstop. I was looking for an estate/vintage ring. Sarah Leonard had a wide selection which made it easy finding just what I was looking for. The service was excellent including re-sizing the ring and securely shipping it to me (I live outside the LA area) Highly recommended, will certainly use them again.

I went to Sarah Leonard Jewelers because friends of mine gave them excellent reviews for many years. I didn't have a jeweler at the time. I brought in existing rings and other pieces of jewelry to have rings made, sold and we looked at their selection of groom rings. Both my fiancee and I liked what was presented to us, and rings they had for sale for him. Very good service, friendly atmosphere and knowledgable staff. We are happy we went to them.

The stores in downtown L.A, and the various chains have NOTHING on a family-owned store in business for as long as Sarah Leonard has been around!. Not only did he receive quality attention when picking out a ring, but he came home educated and feeling confident about making a potential purchase. Since I wanted a ring that was unique, it was suggested we custom make the ring. They helped him design a ring that was exactly what I wanted (and that was within our budget)! And, when he popped the question, and I saw the ring for the first time, it was even better than I could have possibly imagined. The GIA-certified staff were so trustworthy, patient and caring throughout the entire process - this will always be my go-to jewelry store!

Sarah Leonard Jewelers are the best! I walked in as a nervous man looking to buy the perfect engagement ring and they took care of me. I had shopped around with no success. Every other place I went to I felt like just another number. Although I primarily worked with Deb. The entire staff are wonderful. As I was telling my now wife earlier today when we were talking about it all, "Deb's the SH*T!" I ended up having the engagement ring custom made. We also bought our wedding bands and a few other pieces between the time we got engaged and the wedding. Sarah Leonard has become the only jeweler we will go to. They take the time to make sure you get what you want and will not be satisfied until you are satisfied. One of the best things about Sarah Leonard is that contrary to the rest of the jewelers in the immediate area they cater to all budgets and treat every customer the same.

My now husband went here for my engagement ring and we have since done every bit of jewelry business we need here. Honestly, Deb is the best. We email, call, and just plain show up to ask for her expertise, suggestions, and just to say hi. My husband had my engagement ring custom made here and there was zero push, persuasion, or rush. He raved how they just listened to what he wanted and offered options with what he had in mind and he literally had free reign on what he wanted. We ended up designing our wedding bands through them as well. I must say we are incredibly picky and they wanted nothing but to make sure we were beyond thrilled with the outcomes. My husband was also shopping in their store and came across the most amazing cufflink set that I was able to secretly buy for him with the help from Deb at an amazing deal. Most recently my husband had to get a battery replaced and had stopped by a local store to have it changed. They quoted him over $50 for a simple battery change. We just said forget it and went to see Deb. I basically refuse to go to any other jewelry store now that we have Deb and the staff at Sarah Leonard. I thought the store was quaint at first, but when you shop around you realize the big stores don't really offer that much in the realm of selection. Sarah Leonard has an enormous selection and basically endless options for customizing. In theory I should have written reviews for the necklace, earrings, engagement, wedding, cufflinks, and etc pieces we have purchased here, but it's all lumped in this one review. Don't let the area fool you, there's options for everyone's budget from the college student to the retired couple. I can't say enough and I am just happy he went here rather than some other chain store.

The minute my bride and I walked into Sarah Leonard we knew we were in the right place to select that most important symbol of our love and commitment to each other -- our rings. Dean Abell treated us like family... As we sat with him, we told him about our love story and about our idea for two special types of rings that reflected both of our Irish ancestries. Together we finally found it, hearts intertwined in a Celtic knot, that would be be crafted in platinum and incorporate diamonds that had been handed down from Julie's family. Dean found a craftsman in New Zealand and calmed us as we fretted over the New Zealand to Los Angeles shipping time. The rings made it and so did we-- married on December 7, 2014. That first step into a jeweler as caring, reliable and tasteful as Sarah Leonard put us on a very happy path that we continue to travel together.

The family of staff were extremely friendly, helpful and patient when my husband and I went in without any ideas about our perfect wedding bands. They offered us beverages, their undivided attention during our selection process, and their guidance when it came down to picking out the band that would make us each smile for the rest of our lives. When it came down to the price and payment- they were reasonable and fair. Sarah Leonard is a jeweler you can trust. I have to say - HANDS DOWN - Sarah Lenard is the best place to get all of your wedding jewelry. Our experience was mainly with Dean, although the entire staff is incredibly helpful. He was so supportive through the whole journey, and stood by us the entire time. Not in an annoying sales guy way- more like an old friend. My fiance brought my grandmothers ring to Dean, and together they designed my beautiful engagement ring. Then my husband found his band at another store and Dean special ordered it for us! It was actually cheaper then the original store. My wedding bands (Yes I got 2 :) were a perfect fit to my engagement ring. I made a ring sandwich! My in-laws went to Dean and picked out perfect diamond studs for me, and an my husband also used the leftover stones from my grandma and made me a necklace for the big day. I will never go anywhere else for jewelry. EVER.

We used Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers to upgrade my wife's engagement ring and wedding band three years ago. We used a different jeweler for each previously and had consistent issues with the diamond coming loose in the band because of the match of the two rings...something you never want to have happen! Dean helped us create a wonderful new pairing while using the existing stone from the original ring, something that was very important to us. To date, we have had no issues with the two rings. Fast forward to last month, when Dean helped create and execute a wonderful anniversary surprise! I wanted to purchase a second matching band for my wife and surprise her around our anniversary. Dean helped me create a plan where we would go to a restaurant near the store and he would personally deliver the ring at lunch. The surprise was executed flawlessly and my wife loved the ring! Dean helped me through the convenience of emails. He worked with my budget and my need for perfection with me having no previous knowledge of diamonds, nor rings/jewelry in general. Dean is so helpful and kind with such an outstanding knowledge of diamonds. After Dean helped me narrow down my selections I walked into the store and met with Kathleen to pick out the center diamond and finalize the order. Let me start with saying that I live in San Diego and would never EVER have bought a ring in LA if I could help it. I made the 5 hour round trip about 5 times now. Why? I love my dearest Claudia more than I could ever express and I wanted a ring truly deserving of her. Let me also state that I was a jeweler for a couple of years and diamonds were my specialty. Needless to say my standards were extremely high. With that said, let me start on Sarah Leonards by saying that I have never met a better salesman that Dean. So honest, sincere, engaging and truly caring of you. The first time I spoke with him over the phone I was drawn by his confidence in his product and being one of only a handful of stores to carry Kirk Kara (a designer that carried a ring I had fallen in love with at Robbins Bros in San Diego) they were a contender. I loved that he had so much knowledge about the history of the ring and the designer. Regardless, it was still 2 and a half hours away so I was hesitant to drive up there. I told him I wanted an asscher cut diamond. Its uniqueness and beautiful design was the only one I would accept to be put into this ring. At that moment is when he just about secured my business. He told me about the Royal Asscher, the Asscher family history and of course, his stores involvement with them. I had to see it. The perfect ring for my perfect bride? I had to drive 2 and a half hours to make sure. So I dropped my dearest off at Starbucks down the street from Sarah Leonards and told her I was going to go look into a present for Christmas that I was getting her. I told her the store was not available in San Diego and she never questioned it. She had no idea of my intention to propose. I arrived and I was greeted with delicious chocolate (I'm a sucker for chocolates) and a bottle of water. The place was very welcoming and gave me a very "home-y" feel. Like the American depiction of a grandmas house. Dean immediately knew my situation. handled the greetings swiftly and before I knew it I had a Royal Asscher sitting on top of a Kirk Kara Carmella collection ring. I was floored. The perfect ring for my perfect bride just as promised. Being that I was in San Diego. Dean worked with me through the sizing, delivery, payments and all the other details that came with purchasing an item of this magnitude. The follow up was flawless, the care was attentive, the ring was perfect and my dearest Claudia was speechless. She said YES! on December 23rd, 2012 and we got married August 9th, 2013. Sarah Leonard is the best! I've been going there for years, from buying watches for myself, to gifts for friends. When it was time to propose to my girlfriend (now wife!), I went to see Dean at the store. So knowledgeable and made my life SO much easier. What do I know about buying an engagement ring? Dean and the rest of the Sarah Leonard team made my life so much easier, by making the process stress-free. A year before proposing, my girlfriend had pointed out a ring she loved and said "I know we're not there yet, but if we ever do, this is the kind of ring I want." Dean had made a note, and kept it in a file for her...without me knowing! When I was ready to propose, all he had to do was look up her file, and pull the note he made! PERFECT! Now THAT's personal service! My girlfriend loved the ring, and we are happily married!

When my husband was shopping for my engagement ring, Gail, Dean & David were by his side the entire time, helping him decide between multiple styles until he found the perfect ring, and it is perfect! Every time I walk into the store, I feel like I'm family, even when it was the first time I had ever met anyone. We went back for both of our wedding bands, have had everything from a ring to a bracelet to a watch band repaired by their store, and bought gifts for our mothers for the wedding. They make you feel like nothing is too big or too small...and go the extra mile to make sure that you get exactly what you want, and work within whatever price guidelines you give them. I have never felt anything but love when I walk in there, and every time I'm there they check my ring to be sure the setting isn't loose and clean it. We've found our jeweler family for life!

I was helped by Dean, who helped me understand all the choices available with diamonds (I am not a jewelry guy) and select the right one that melted my now wife's heart. And then two years later I went back and ordered a birthing gift for my wife... a beautiful diamond necklace with our son's birthstone attached. I'm not a guy who buys a lot of jewelry. In fact, I'm not sure I spelled it right. A good friend of mine suggested that I go to Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers, and he assured me that Dean Abel would take really good care of me. He did. Dean was great at helping me figure out and articulate the things I needed and wanted, when I was unsure myself. We looked at many stones all staying within my budget. When I tried other jewelers, they could get nowhere near the values on stones that Dean was finding for me. After Dean sensed I was reevaluating our first run of stones, he found another batch, one of which was perfect. The ring (setting and stone) that we settled on was well within my budget, and way below what I had set as our top end. All of my questions were patiently answered and all of my concerns asuaged- not only by Dean, but also by the other, well informed staff on the few occasions that I came in and Dean was out. I will be using Sarah Leonard in the future, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect, at-ease buying experience.

A friend told me to go to Sarah Leonard Jewelers in Westwood and I'm so glad I did. I have been to the store a few times for numerous reasons, most importantly being to purchase wedding bands. The entire staff is incredibly friends and knowledgeable, in fact most of them are gemologists. They always clean my engagement ring with a smile even though we didn't buy it there (though we would have if we'd known about them before!). Their jewelry is well made, including tons of top designers, and their wedding band selection is huge, with a massive range of pricing too. I'm so glad I found them and know they will be my jeweler for as long as I live in southern California!

Everyone who works here is very friendly. They are very knowledgeable about all of the jewelry in the store. I felt comfortable trying to find the perfect wedding bands for our wedding, because I had no idea what would look good. With the help from the friendly staff, it was great to see what type of wedding bands looked perfect. I totally recommend people who are engaged to find their wedding bands with this friendly staff.

Great place for all ring and jewelry needs. The moment we walked in the staff was welcoming. Brittany helped us purchase our wedding bands and she was just amazing to work with. She even helped design the grooms' band and it ended-up being an amazing one of a kind band that totally fits his personality. And I found (without knowing) an estate tiffany band that looks beautiful. A huge bonus was they have estate pieces of every kind of jewelry so you have a lot to choose from than your typical engagement store, and most likely rare pieces; I may have to go back to do some shopping. They are a family run business and have been in Westwood for many years which is a nice touch and even better was the UCLA discount.

My hubby purchased the engagement ring from Sarah Leonard, and once I met Deb I completely understood why! Deb is so amazing to work with, she genuinely helps find what's best for you/your needs. When we ordered our wedding bands, Deb was able to help us create custom-designed rings that were within our budget. She is an expert in diamonds (her nickname is "Diamond Deb"!) and metals. As she pointed out, the two things you have from your wedding to keep forever are the rings and the photos. We love our rings so much and truly have Deb to thank!

When I first went in to visit David at Sarah Leonard to try on engagement rings with my now-fiancé, I was the epitome of discomfort. I felt bad that so much money was going toward a piece of jewelry, I never even wore jewelry, and I had no idea what I wanted. I expected the sales person to be sales-y and pushy, but it ended up being the opposite. David's patience, ability to listen and decipher what I really wanted from what I thought I might want, and his undeniable charm loosened me up in no time. By the end of my appointment, I was trying on everything just for fun! I felt no pressure at all. In fact, he urged me to come back multiple times to choose the perfect ring for me. David helped coordinate everything in time for the dramatic proposal, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Now that we're engaged, we go in to visit to get free ring cleanings, but also just to say, "Hi." David feels like a close friend or family member; he goes above and beyond in terms of service and hospitality. He even tells me I can drop off my ring while I'm grocery shopping, then come by to pick it up curbside! If you are looking for any kind of jewelry service (buy, sell, repair, etc), please give this place a chance! You'll thank me later. :)

Dean helped us custom design my wife's wedding bands from scratch using some family diamonds, and gave us solid and honest advice in picking my band. The bands came out exactly the way we wanted and for a very fair price. There's a reason Sarah Leonard has been in business as long they have--knowledge, integrity, and a high level of customer service. My parents have been their customers since the 70s, and now I'll continue the tradition, for good reason.

The timing was perfect because they had a trunk show from the designer and he customized my band for a reasonable price. I absolutely love and recommend Sarah Leonard.

My fiance Gerard and I had participated in the 2010 Sarah Leonard Diamond Dash in Westwood for our chance to win a $20K engagement ring. We didn't place in the top five (but possibly the top ten), but we had the best time doing the scavenger hunt together. Gerard had remembered that the winning ring was as close to my ideal as you can get. When he went back to buy me my ring he mentioned that to Dean, who couldn't be more helpful. Together they found the perfect ring (and I do mean perfect), and Dean was so kind and gracious throughout the entire process. Since we got engaged, Dean has helped me countless times with getting the fit right (I have knuckles). We love them so much, we are getting our wedding bands from the store and they are going to help me customize a band out of my grandmother's engagement ring, which had been destroyed. I went to Sarah Leonard Fine Jewelers to purchase my now wife's engagement ring and encountered nothing by friendly, professional service from the moment I entered. Having walked by the store numerous times during my years at UCLA, I never really thought I'd end up going there for an engagement ring purchase, but there I was. I met with Deborah on my first visit, who, although she was a recent addition to the previously family-only business, was well versed in diamonds and jewelry and took time to review all the options and styles with me. I had a good idea of what I was looking for so my primary concern was what I could get to fulfill my vision without blowing my budget. Deborah was very patient as I sent her back to the drawing board with my diamond options a few times, but we ultimately decided on the perfect diamond and setting! The price seemed a little higher than I would have anticipated, but then again I'm not a jewelry expert and, in any case, my new wife is worth it!
