Our guests absolutely RAVED about our food. I think I got more compliments on the food than anything else at our wedding! Everything was delicious and the Savoir Fare team did a great job in executing our vision. In addition to their food being amazing, they were also very reasonably priced and the team was incredibly professional. I would highly recommend them for your next event.

We used Savoir Fare as our wedding caterer and used their day-of coordinator service. Although we had a good experience with the food and catering staff at Savoir Fare, we did not have a good experience with the coordinator services and would not recommend that service through Savoir Fare to others. More details about each are provided below: Food/Catering Service: We had a great tasting at Savoir Fare and really appreciated that the company was flexible with food options and willing to be competitive/price match other caterers. However, two weeks prior to the wedding Savoir Fare increased the labor costs from what we were quoted even with a reduced guest count. Although the food the day of our wedding wasn’t nearly as good as the tasting (crostinis were very stale, beef/chicken dishes were dry, and French fries were served cold), it was still solid and our guests enjoyed it. The catering staff was also very efficient and did a good job keeping tables cleared and serving guests. Day-of Coordinator Services: When we first signed on to Savoir Fare’s day-of coordinator package, we really liked the idea of the coordinator being built into such an important vendor and having such a large team at their disposal. Our initial coordinator was great and reached out early to us to start filling out a packet of thorough questions and logistics about the wedding weekend. However, our initial coordinator left the company a few months before our wedding, and after that time period we received almost no communication from our new coordinator, including not hearing from her for a month between our walkthrough and the wedding, despite us reaching out multiple times via email and phone. To move anything forward with Savoir Fare, such as final food and rental details during the last two months leading up to the wedding, we multiple times had to contact the owner. Although we fully recognize that a day-of coordinator’s job is supporting the weekend of the wedding itself, being unresponsive for weeks at a time regarding details that needed to be discussed ahead of the wedding, and especially being unresponsive literally the week of our wedding is unacceptable. We talked to her for the first time in over two weeks at the rehearsal the day before, which she was so late to that we had to run through the ceremony details with the guests instead, which added unneeded stress to the wedding planning process. It seemed like our coordinator was fairly overwhelmed picking up the work of our initial coordinator who left, and we are understanding of that, but the lack of expectation setting, saying she would follow up on things and then not doing it, and general lack of communication made us feel like we couldn’t rely on her. Our wedding and reception did go very well when it came down to it the day of, yet there were several missed details. The upstairs bar was not stocked even though we clearly labeled which liquor should go where, most guests didn’t get cake since it was distributed poorly, and our coordinator arrived after the rental company the morning of, so the owners of the venue had to sign for rentals. She was intimately familiar with the venue, which helped a lot, and clearly a competent coordinator. Until Savoir Fare addresses the issues I mentioned above, though, I would not recommend the coordinator package.

We loved working with Katelynn for our pandemic wedding. The tasting was amazing and we appreciated Katelynn’s help pulling together our menu and also helping as the wedding planner for our event - especially all our last minute pandemic-related requests. We had lots of compliments on the food. I’ve never been to a wedding where salads were one of the biggest hits but the summer salad with mandarin oranges and poppyseed dressing was very deserving. Especially with cornbread on the side! Thanks for helping to make our day amazing!

Savoir Fare was recommended to us to cater our daughter’s wedding by our venue (Riverside on the Potomac) and 2 different friends who had just hosted weddings. From the start, Savoir Fare was very professional and easy to work with. We were blown away by the tasting & had a hard time deciding which items to pick for the reception. After paying our deposit & finalizing our menu 1 year in advance of the date, our discussions with Savoir Fare were put on hold until closer to the event. Unfortunately, covid hit and we were forced to consider the possibility that the event would not take place as planned. Savoir Fare communicated with us regularly and we were assured if we had to move the date that they would work with us. In addition, they were adjusting protocols to be in accordance with CDC guidelines so that if we wanted to host the event, all safety measures would be put in place. Katelynn & Lyndse worked hard to make sure our event was flawless. The food was delicious and all of our guests were impressed with our caterer. We had just a few little mishaps, but it would not prevent me from using Savoir Fare or recommending them to friends. First, we had requested in advance that the bartenders not put a cup out for tips. We were told that this was never done. Unfortunately, one of the bartenders did have a tip jar out. My husband quietly said something to him and he put it away. Second, I had saved a dessert to take home with me because I did not get a chance to eat it during the evening. I had asked the staff not to take it and put it next to my purse. It was tossed during the cleanup (I’m sure they were moving fast to get it all done, but I was kind of sad). And finally, we had requested that water & lemonade be available to our guests upon arrival at the ceremony. It was available, but not nearly enough. The water was completely drained very quickly (it was a warm day) and only a small portion of our guests were able to get some. These items were minor & definitely something that can easily be fixed for next time we host an event! Thank-you again to Savoir Fare for making our daughter & her new husband’s reception such a wonderful evening!

Savoir Fare helped us make our wedding day so special! We had to postpone our original plans to 2021, but planned a small COVID-friendly wedding on short notice locally. We reached out to Katelynn with really only a few weeks notice and she was amazing! They put together individual appetizer and dessert boxes for our guests so we could keep everything socially distanced. They had great ideas for menu options that would hold up easily and incorporated all of our requests. There was plenty to eat and everything was absolutely delicious! When we sat down to eat, all the talking stopped and everyone basically ate in contented silence for 15 minutes (except for people saying, “that was really good! And THAT was really good!”). And then the same thing happened with the desserts! We couldn’t have asked for anything more - thank you all so much!

We had Savoir Fare cater my small COVID- friendly wedding on June 6th and they were AMAZING! We had originally booked them for our larger weeding which we decided to cancel; they were so helpful and flexible with the wedding planning/ changing process. They were so organized and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend them to anyone have a wedding large or small they do a fantastic job!!

We used Savoir Fare for our wedding recommended to us by our venue. Their food is absolutely delicious and totally fantastic, which was the real reason why we chose them as our wedding caterer. We also really loved that they were a local and family-owned business near where we were getting married. We had a great experience at the tasting and at our wedding because of how delicious their food is! The reason we gave them three stars is because we were really disappointed with their communication style. We had a hard time getting in contact with them throughout the planning process for timely answers via e-mail, but also on the phone which was incredibly frustrating at times. Knowing that it's a small business we expected delayed communication, but at one point it took Savoir Fare 6 weeks to respond back to us pretty close to our wedding. That would make any couple feel a bit anxious. We experienced a lot of mistakes in the contract and rentals breakdown with things not being removed that were repeatedly requested to be removed and we received another couple's contract and rentals list at one point. Also, on our wedding day when the rentals company came to deliver the rentals to the venue, the rentals company was not prepared with the floor layout and had no idea where anything was supposed to go. Because our catering manger and our wedding planner weren't supposed to arrive for another hour or so, the bride, the MOB and the MOG had to direct the delivery people where everything was supposed to go according to the floor plan when it was decided that Savoir Fare would ensure that the rental company would have a full understanding of where everything needed to go prior to their arrival. Again, we had an incredible experience in terms of food quality and taste, but we wish that our communication and organization experience with Savoir Fare had been improved throughout the many months we worked with them.

Savoir Fare is hands down the BEST! They were not only recommended to us by our venue (Shadow Creek) but two other venues we toured mentioned Savoir Fare as a preferred vendor as well!! Their food is AMAZING, they have a wonderful staff, and the rental company they work with is great (Select Event Group)! Our guests are still telling us how good the food was!! I truly do not have one negative thing to say about Savoir Fare. Additionally, if you select Savoir Fare and are in need a day-of coordinator I *HIGHLY* recommend Lyndse Wolford. She made the whole entire planning process so easy and stress-free. Not to mention the actual wedding day where she was on top of EVERYTHING!! She is a rockstar. Our wedding day would not have been the same without Lyndse and Savoir Fare.

Joan’s food and her team are amazing. When booking a wedding at Bluemont Vineyards, you have to use Savoir Fare for your catering, and at first I admit I was hesitant to be locked into a caterer without doing research. Once we were pretty sure that Bluemont was the place, we opted to try some of Savoir Fare’s food, and we were not disappointed. I remember raving about the salads. They were SO good. Then we moved onto the mains which were flavorful and well prepared. When we came in for our formal tasting, we were again very impressed, and we had our mothers’ approvals as well. The food on the day of the wedding was a great execution. Everything that was served was delicious. And the family style service worked so well to engage our guests in conversation. No one left hungry!

Lyndse and her team at Savoir Fare not only had the most exceptional service, but the food was exceptional. The servers and bartenders created moments with my guests to make them feel special and taken care of. Lyndse herself walked through all the different rental plans with me and kept me calm the entire time. She is exceptional! I seriously can't imagine going with any other caterer!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to Lyndse at Savoir Fare! She made every single detail more than I ever could have imagined. Her calm demeanor is everything you need on your big day. She made us feel so special and she took care of everything. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. We did not have to worry about a thing! The food was to die for!!!! So delicious, our guests are still talking about it. We wish we could have Savior Fare every day! Seriously our day could not have gone more smoothly. Love Savior Fare!!!

Savoir Fare was GREAT to work with! The staff was like a well oiled machine! They were organized, quick and so helpful. We also worked with Lyndse as our Day of Coordinator. She is so knowledgeable and talented and helped our day run smoothly. She and her staff were flexible in service and when choosing our food choices. The food was also amazing! We are still getting complaints on the flavor, the temperature and the overall quality. We wanted a caterer who cared about buying local and cooking seasonally and that was Savoir Fare. They knocked it out of the park in every aspect!

Savoir Fare Limited Catering was AMAZING! The catering staff was helpful and organized, transitions between appetizers, dinner, and dessert were seamless, and the food was delicious. We are still getting comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the food. You absolutely cannot go wrong with choosing Savoir Fare for your wedding caterer! Highly recommend.

Savoir Fair is the only catering option for our venue, Bluemont Vineyard. At the tasting the appetizers were excellent. I am a vegetarian so my mom and daughter tried the meat options. They did not like the meat options at all. The vegetarian option was great. My mom ended up asking for the steak to be much more simple than the actual menu steak. It was made au jus with horseradish on the side. At the wedding, again the appetizers were the best part. The salad was good too, but nothing extraordinary. People who got the steak seemed to enjoy it, but the chicken was dry. We did have a medical emergency that set the buffet service back almost an hour, so we can understand that the food was not heated. There is a kitchen on site, but for some reason they do not use it for wedding receptions. It may be too small. At any rate the food was overall fairly average for wedding food. The manager did comp us for over a full table, which was incredibly generous and appreciated.

The best! The biggest thank you to the entire team at Savoir Fare for making my wedding day so special. I cannot recommend them enough. From the very beginning Katelynn, Lyndse, and Joan were so helpful and insightful. They allowed my fiancé and family to take our time and make decisions and helped us along the way. The food is amazing and we received so many compliments on the service and food. They were incredibly professional and walked us through many options before we landed on ours. Book them, you won’t be disappointed!

We hired Savoir Faire through Bluemont Vineyard and they were absolutely fantastic. Our tasting was delicious and there were so many great dishes to pick from. For our appetizers we selected: bacon wrapped scallops, ahi tuna tacos, smoked salmon on fried wantons, and bruschetta. For dinner there were fresh baked rolls then the most delicious salad with amazing white balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The main course was served family style (which our guests loved) and was a choice of either grilled chicken breast with tomato and avocado salsa or beef tenderloin. All of the food came out hot and there was plenty for all of our guests to have seconds. Everyone commented that the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding! We could not have been happier!

Savoir Fare was a pleasure to work with! Lyndse was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. Rachael was a godsend when it came to the day of coordinating. She made the day as least stressful as possible..and that says a lot coming from as much of a control freak as myself! As for the food, I've had so many people continue to tell me how great the food was! Would definitely recommend.

Joan and her team are great to work with. The food at our wedding was delicious and we received a lot of compliments from our guests, especially on the late night bites. Joan was very accommodating for our food allergies and very professional.

I cant speak on the food, because I contacted the vendor for a quote and received a response right away that they would have a quote over to me shortly. A week passed and I heard nothing so I contacted them again via email and heard nothing, so I tried one more time thru their website and still nothing. So just from that alone, I would not feel comfortable using a vendor who I cant get in contact with and says they are going to do something such as provide a quote and never does. Very disappointing.

We had people commenting on our food weeks after our wedding! We were extremely pleased with the quality of the food and the service. Lyndse is absolutely wonderful to work with and we are so thankful she was there to oversee our day. We HIGHLY recommend Savoir Fare for you next catered event.

Savoir Fare was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we were so glad we chose them for our wedding. Their food was exquisite and beautifully presented - we received so many compliments from our guests. The service was top-notch and the staff was very professional. Katelynn and Lyndse went above and beyond to make sure our big day went smoothly - they were extremely responsive, flexible, friendly, and offered great advice on everything from food pairings to rentals. As mentioned in other reviews, we were skeptical about being forced to use this caterer as they are tied to our wedding venue, Bluemont Vineyard’s. Looking back, this was actually a blessing as it was one less thing for us to do as part of our planning, and the end result was better than we could have ever dreamed! The food tasting was amazing, and we left very happy and very full! At the wedding, the staff and food exceeded our expectations!! Our guests were raving about the food, even the salads!? They made us a little plate of each one of our hors d’oeuvres, because they knew we wouldn’t get much of a chance to eat during cocktail hour! This company is extremely professional, and they make some damn good food! Thank you Savior Fare for an incredible wedding meal that we will never forget!

Savoir Fare was the required caterer for Bluemont Vineyard's and at first, we were nervous by that idea, having preferred to find our own caterers. But, in the end, we're so glad they are tied to our wedding venue. The food was absolutely amazing. I have never had such delicious food. The braised beef brisket was a crowd pleaser and the team was so attention detailed to provide gluten-free options for wedding party members who have Celiac's disease. They even gave us a to go box of our dinner at the end of the night which we happily ate during our minimoon. The staff was wonderful, pleasant, and quick to cater to my husband and I and feed us appetizers as we had pictures taken (and hadn't eaten due to nerves prior to the ceremony). I want to eat the meal again and again. It was just lovely and wonderful, right down to the little flowers placed on serving plates and the heart-shaped butter at our table. Everything was perfectly done, the people were wonderful, and I still to this day salivate at the memory of our meal.

Savoir Fare was my favorite vendor from my wedding! We scheduled a tasting five months before the wedding and they offered so much variety. The food we chose was absolutely delicious. Joan went above and beyond and spent extra time making my signature dessert (banana pudding!). Catie was an amazing organizer that helped me with so many wedding day details. She was always available for a phone call and just so kind all the time. Savior Fare is truly an excellent company and I would choose them every time!

We loved working with Savoir Fare and the food was delicious! So many guests complimented the food and Catie was so great to work with and answered all of my questions promptly. What was really amazing about them is while we were taking pictures with the bridal party and family immediately after the ceremony, they came and brought us some of he goes d'oeuvres that we're being served during cocktail hour even though it was a pretty far walk from where we taking pictures! I know I really appreciated it and my family definitely appreciated it also.

We used Savoir Fare for our 200 person at-home tented wedding and they couldn't have been better. Cocktail hour was out in our backyard and the reception with a plated meal was served about 500 yards away in the middle of a field. Joan and her team were amazing from start to finish. The tasting experience with Joan was our favorite part of wedding planning. We ended up choosing mini sliders (with beef from our own cattle that Joan kindly used!), mini crab cakes, watermelon feta skewers, brie, avocado corn salsa, among others to start for cocktail hour. For dinner, guests chose from short ribs or rosemary chicken with polenta or a veggie ratatouille tart. People raved about the food! Service was excellent at dinner and all of the staff Joan brought were top notch. For late night food, we served chicken fingers and french fries, which were a bit soggy but there were issues with the food truck/fryer that were unforeseen. For a plated dinner for 200 served in the middle of a field out of a small kitchen tent, we really couldn't have loved our experience more with Savoir Fare. They are creative, flexible, and professional. Further, the pricing is extremely fair considering the quality and service you get. Highly recommend!

I have never heard so many people compliment food at a wedding! From the initial tasting to the wedding day dinner, we were always impressed with the food and presentation at Savior Fare. There were so many delicious options to choose from for cocktail hour, and the owner can totally work with your budget and give you incredible options. She even adjusted an entree to incorporate two dishes that my husband loved. At first we were nervous that Bluemont didn't give you the option to shop around for caterers but as soon as we tasted the food, we knew why. People are still talking about the food from our wedding and we got married 2 months ago.

As we planned our wedding we heard it said that good food is one of the things that people really remember at weddings, and we were not disappointed. Savoir Fare crafted a culinary experience for our wedding. From the appetizers to the macaroni and cheese the food was amazing. The cuts of meat were top notch, the salad dressings were all homemade, and the desserts were decadent. When we picked our food at our tasting we had a hard time narrowing down our options, as everything was fabulous and the quality of food was just as good the day of the wedding, as the day of the tasting. On top of the great dining, the wait staff were amazing. The were courteous, professional, and a lot of fun. When my husband and I didn’t get to eat our dinner right away, they took the plates and replaced them with fresh food to make sure we got ourselves a hot meal on our wedding day. They prioritized our experience, as well as making sure the event went smoothly. We were very impressed, and highly recommend these guys! Hire them if you can!

Savoir Fare is an exclusive caterer of The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard. I couldn't have been happier for their relationship. Joan is an absolutely culinary genius. When my family and I went for our tasting, it was very hard to choose which dishes we wanted more. Her hors d'oeuvres are so creative and delicious. We had such a hard time choosing between 3, that we added a 4th. We decided to do a family style service and I couldn't have gotten more compliments. All of the food was absolutely delectable. They say that the Bride and Groom never eat at weddings, but my husband and I were not going to leave without having had a plate of Joan's food. Even if you are not getting married at Bluemont Vineyard, give Savoir Fare a try. You won't regret it.

The food was absolutely AMAZING on our wedding day just as we expected after our wonderful tasting. All of our gusset kept commenting on how awesome the food was. Joan was also just such a pleasure to work with throughout the whole planning process. We were glad to have her apart of our big day

After my previously booked caterer went out of business, I had to find a new caterer, fast. Luckily, we met Joan from Savoir Fare! From the first tasting (plate after plate of delicious food) to our delicious leftovers, they were so pleasant and enthusiastic about our day. Joan and Lyndse were very prompt when responding to us. They answered all of our questions and happily made adjustments when asked. It was fun putting together a custom menu for our family style service for almost 150 guests. We decided on the rustic roast chicken (SO GOOD) and asked if they could create a latin-inspired steak (which they did - amazing!). We also had the mashed potatoes and a variety of vegetables. My favorite thing to plan was the dessert bar which featured different types of cookies, mini pies and a creme brûlée bread pudding. Mmm. We have gotten many compliments about the food after the wedding day. The two stand outs have been the flank steak and the bread pudding. Thank you so much for everything! I highly recommend Savoir Fare!

Savoir Fare did a wonderful job with the food for our wedding! We are foodies, so one of our biggest requirements was that our wedding food had to be on point. They did not disappoint! For hors d'oeuvres, we had the mini quiche, bacon wrapped scallops, and prosciutto wrapped melon wedges...all super delicious. For dinner, we opted for the rustic roasted chicken and the braised beef brisket which turned out fantastic...even better than when we had it for our tasting! The baby potatoes and vegetable medley were really tasty too. We received many compliments from our guests about how good the food was compared to other wedding food. Overall, I would highly recommend Savoir Fare!

Appetizers were amazing. Steak for dinner was out of the world the chicken was average. Overall it was great would go back to the restaurant for dinner.

Having delicious food was one of my top priorities for a wedding- I hate going to weddings w/the same predictable bland chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots/green beans and I didn't want my guests to feel like they had to go through a drive through after the reception because they were still hungry. I was nervous that Bluemont Vineyard had an exclusive catering contract, but Debbie told us to try the restaurant in Round Hill, she said we would not be disappointed. We went for dinner and after the first bite of the blue and bleu salad we immediately booked Bluemont for our wedding. Working with Joan was a great experience. Our tasting was delicious and she provided a lot of guidance and suggestions. We chose five passed apps- brie and almond on crostini, salmon on wonton crisp, Gruyere stuffed mushroom, bruschetta, and crab cake. All were delicious, the salmon and mushroom were definitely the crowd favorite. During our tasting we couldn't decide between the blue and bleu and the strawberry goat salads so Joan suggested we get both and alternate plating the salads. Both salads got rave reviews. We decided on a family style service which was new to us and many of our guests and we got a lot of great feed back from guests that liked having the option of choosing what they wanted to eat without having to stand in hated buffet lines. The chicken dishes we tasted were delicious, but I was adamant about staying away from typical wedding food so we choose the beef tenderloin w/cabernet mushroom sauce and the grilled rockfish w/summer salsa. For sides we had quinoa pilaf and grilled summer vegetables. Our vegetarian guests enjoyed ratatouille tarts. We are still getting compliments on the taste and amount of food. We were even able to eat at our wedding and the food was just as delicious as it was at the tasting. I highly recommend Savoir Fare and am glad we can always go to the restaurant in Round Hill and have Joan's delicious food!

If you are looking for a small business that is truly passionate about delivering you exceptional food and customized service, Savoir Fare is it! Joannie is the owner and is onsite for your entire wedding reception unlike many of the big name DC caterers that give you the option to "pay extra" to meet the actual onsite coordinator. Not only does she provide you with a personal touch ( you are NOT just another sales metric) but she is so easy to work with. Joannie made us feel right at home for our tasting... It was the best date night we had in a long time and my favorite activity of all our wedding planning. It was the easiest decision we made!

We are so pleased that we decided to go with Savoir Faire for our wedding caterer. This was probably the hardest decision for us to make in our wedding planning, but the food and service was exceptional and Joan was so much fun to work with. She won us over right away with the presentation and quality of the food. During the planning she was responsive, and extremely helpful in recommending a rental company and hooking us up with a 15% off discount. You can’t go wrong with Savoir Faire and your guests will love the food!

I could not believe they were not on the wedding channel site yet! We loved working with Joan at Savoir Fare Ltd. She was so flexible, helpful and sweet to work with. They provided the best customer service, and had fabulous tasting food. We even had a comment from a guest (who ordered the grilled and marinated flank steak), that it was one of the best steaks he's ever had! The wait staff were prompt and efficient in serving the food and refilling the drinks. We had absolutely NO issues with our caterer and couldn't have been happier. We wouldn't have changed a thing, and would not hesitate to recommend Savoir Fare to anyone
