ned in Italy and then Japan, myself in San Diego, and the wedding in Rixeyville, VA- Serendipity came through will professional etiquette, style and efficiency. We relied on some bridesmaids to complete the menu testing, and Serendipity accommodated their work schedules. They offered a good selection of appetizers, side dishes and main entrees, in addition to catering to food allergies. And when the catering staff set up at Rixey Manor, there was 100% efficiency, order and attention-to-detail. We requested specific linen, silverware, dishes and glassware. The tables and food layout looked amazing, and throughout the evening, the venue operated smoothly. My responsibilities were to mingle with guests and family and have fun too. The food from the starters to entree to dessert to coffee, everything was great. The staff that served the food was prompt and assisted the guests perfectly with no altercations. The bar staff made the drinks without over pouring, but still gave guest a nice buzz. The staff both internal and guest facing were wonderful! The staff worked very well together and it showed during the wedding. I loves that my staff, food, cake and desserts, linens, hardware, and glassware were all included! It really made things easier for us! Overall it was a great event with great food and great bar tenders! They also had to deal with a rain plan and they did not miss a step! They were referred by my planner and I see why she worked with them! Their food was so unique and delicious! Food was a top priority for our wedding and they definitely blew past our expectations. Our wedding was just like something you saw featured in a magazine! I highly recommend getting all their services they offer for your wedding to make everything as smooth as possible.

In all, they sent us three custom menus to accommodate the multiple dietary restrictions on our guest list.
We went to tastings at four different caterers in Virginia and Savory Fare blew them all out of the water in terms of taste and menu flexibility. 10/10 would recommend!

l responsiveness was a little lacking (it was wedding season, so it's to be expected, but still - it made me nervous). Jennifer was a great help in getting our menu nailed down and made several recommendations to keep our costs down. We set our date and venues when living in VA and then moved to NY about 5 months later; Jennifer helped tremendously knowing we were planning our wedding from 300+ miles away in NY. Overall, I highly, highly recommend Savory Fare!

FOOD on our big day. We knew it was all going to be delicious because we went to the tasting event , which BTW was just a great experience for my husband and our parents. Jennifer V. was our main point of contact; she was so pleasant to work with. The professionalism, timeliness was all there from the first inquiry email to the days after the wedding congratulating us. The serving supervisor on our wedding day, Eva, was just phenomenal. She is an experienced leader/critical thinker for sure because she was able to quickly figure out solutions to multiple issues that occurred that day and she made sure that my family and I did not have to worry about them AT ALL. The bartenders, servers, kitchen staff were all so engaged and focused the entire time they were there all the while making sure my husband and I were taken care of (food, drinks, etc). Savory Fare is 100% HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. You will NOT be disappointed with having them be your caterer of choice!!!

The food was delicious, and the service was professional and friendly. Everyone we encountered- Jennifer who worked with me over the phone, Angela the owner, Eva the event manager and the waitstaff at the party-were so helpful and nice.
We hired Savory Fare for a rehearsal/welcome dinner for 100 guests the evening before our son's wedding, with an additional 50 guests coming later for drinks and desserts. It was supposed to be a party that flowed from the house to a veranda to the gardens. But the rains from Hurricane Joaquin changed those plans!
Angela, Jennifer and Eva met with us at our party site on the day before the event. Their expertise went to work, and the party set-up was changed for everything to be inside, and it worked out perfectly. I'm sure most of the guests didn't realize it wasn't 'Plan A'.
Most importantly though, the food was outstanding! We served pulled pork sliders, grilled chicken and vegetarian stuffed peppers along with salads and cookie/brownie platters for dessert. It was all delicious!

Jennifer was so helpful all the way up to the event in answering all my questions, making helpful suggestions, and working with our budget and dietary needs. Our venue owner said even the amount of food they provided was perfect - we didn't run out early, and weren't left with a ridiculous amount of leftovers. Loved working with Savory Fare and would certainly recommend them to others!
