Sayles Livingston Design

We hired Sayles Livingston Designs last August for our wedding florals and had stunning flowers at our wedding! The flowers at the wedding were beautiful, and they captured our colors so well. The centerpieces and some other arrangements came out even better than I expected. Everyone from the company was very nice, and everything was reasonably priced, especially compared to some other quotes we received. However, the process was a bit difficult because we ended up working with 3 different people, which seemed odd and inefficient to us. This caused some elements to be executed not how we expected, both in design and layout in the reception. While the process of working with many people was not ideal, the flowers looked beautiful and were a highlight in our wedding decor!

The tall guest table centerpieces and ceremony arrangements (that were later repurposed for the reception) were especially breathtaking! We were thrilled! Tracey from Sayles' team created the floral vision of my dreams! I didn't give her much direction - I just wanted tropical greens with beautiful white flowers. I trusted the pro's and it totally paid off. When I arrived at my venue for the ceremony, the flowers literally took my breath away. My husband and I used Sayles Livingston Design for our 8/2022 Rehearsal Dinner at Newport Vineyards and wedding at Newport Beach House and we had THE BEST experience. I got married in Newport, RI and this was one of our recommended vendors our venue gave us. I was obsessed with the way it turned out the day of our wedding. We had a Jewish ceremony, so we decorated our Chuppah with flowers, amazing sweetheart table, and many more. Pretty good prices. The team was easy to work with and followed what my vision was in terms of flower colors and types of flowers I liked (definitely consider using 'baby's breath').

We began working with Sayles in 2019 in preparation for a 2020 wedding which was postponed due to the pandemic. The wedding was finally on 5/22/2022. The flowers and arrangements were stunning. Our guests were so impressed with how beautiful and fresh the flowers were. Sayles was so easy to work with. If you want someone who will design what you want with flair and elegance, Sayles is the person.

Sayles is one of the few vendors we felt we HAD to keep when postponing our wedding during COVID. She was extremely patient, understanding and flexible as we moved through that process. We feel extremely lucky we got to work with her for our new date! She is extremely responsive via email and gives you honest opinions, works to see your vision and it's actually incredible how talented she is when it finally all comes to life on the day! My florals were stunning and downright breathtaking and her team is extremely efficient. There is no doubt why she has such an amazing reputation in the Newport/RI wedding scene. Sayles Livingston Design were the most gorgeous florals I have ever seen! The bouquets, outdoor trellis, and table arrangements were outstanding! Working with Sayles and her team was a dream. Our venue was stunning, but all white with high ceilings so I had some concerns about our flowers and decorations getting lost. I had a strong vision for the room with a head table with white single varietal arrangements, family tables with high arrangements, and then the remaining round tables with low mixed arrangements. Sayles heard my concerns and gave me a thorough proposal within just a couple days' time that addressed the scaling of the room. She updated the proposal promptly after several catch up calls throughout the planning process (despite the craziness that was weddings in 2021). I was thrilled with the result and my husband, parents, in-laws, and friends/family were stunned with the reception space. Thank you Sayles!

Sayles and her team did such an incredible job with the flowers for our wedding in July! They not only listened to my (very vague) vision, they went above and beyond. They arrived WAY earlier than anticipated and were setting up the trellis for the ceremony when I woke up in the morning! The trellis was stunning and they added far more flowers than I expected which was such a nice surprise. The centerpieces were gorgeous as well, we got soo many compliments on them from guest. They also designed a boxwood wall for a photo backdrop which looks gorgeous - this was, again, something I gave somewhat vague directions on, and they just knew what I wanted. They know the venues in Newport so well which made the entire process super smooth - can't recommend them enough!

Sayles and team did a fabulous job with the conception, execution and transportation of the entire variety of floral designs. As mother of bride, I was incredibly happy with the bouquets, large and lush designs for the church, the centerpieces and accent pieces for the reception, etc etc. Truly could not have been more pleased. I high recommend Sayles Livingston. (Bonus: one week post-wedding and many of the flowers from the now "reconstructed" floral arrangements are still going strong.) 5 star experience!

Sayles was truly fantastic to work with and is unbelievably talented at what she does. I was so happy to stumble upon her after we lost our prior florist when we postponed from August 2020 due to covid. Sayles and her team immediately reached out and had a phone call to discuss all of the items I wanted to include at our May wedding at Gibbet Hill. She sent over a detailed list of everything we discussed and even made a personalized Pinterest page specific to us to upload inspiration pictures that liked. The day of our wedding, all of the bridesmaids loved their bouquets and the arbor arrangements, centerpieces, whiskey barrel arrangements were all breathtaking. Everything had such a romantic and airy touch and matched the venue perfectly. Her attention to detail is unmatched and worth every penny. Definitely recommend!

Sayles was wonderful to work with! We originally hired her for the wedding only and she perfectly executed my dream floral arrangements with blue and white flowers in in urns at the altar as well as blooming garlands on the tables. We then last minute decided to get flowers for the rehearsal dinner and she was so accommodating! And made absolutely stunning arrangements in bright pink, orange and yellow for a completely different vibe. When I first got engaged, I attended the Newport Bridal show thinking it would be a fun experience with my mom to help find a florist. Sure, there were tons- and somewhat overwhelming, but I had yet to find one I LOVED. Then, I stumbled upon Sayles' instagram and website. I immediately put in an inquiry hoping she & her team had my date available. From then on, it was a dream. Sayles put together her own Pinterest board for me based on our conversations and it couldn't have been a more perfect match. Her and Cara on her team took so much time, effort, and multiple meetings to go through each and every flower and decor piece. While I wanted simple, white flowers and greenery, they went above and beyond to ensure that my simplistic idea, wasn't simple at all- when it came to life, it was truly magical to see what they had put together. I couldn't have imagined anything more perfect. If you have the opportunity to work with Sayles DO IT (and listen to her little suggestions that make you go outside of your comfort zone- I couldn't be happier that I did!).

I cannot recommend Sayles and her fabulous team enough. When I initially approached Sayles, I expected to be turned away because of my budget, but she was willing to work within my constraints and went above and beyond what I expected. Her team was attentive throughout the wedding, showed up on time, worked with some last min requests that I had and made my vision come to life. All night long my guests were commenting on how incredible the flowers were. The next day when I arrived to pick up some decor left at the venue, her team was there taking down the remainder of the flowers and were so sweet to me and thankful for me taking the time to thank them for their work. I will continue to use Sayles for any floral needs I have in the future and recommend her to all my RI friends.

Dream come true! Sayles and team delivered truly exquisite work. Everything exceeded our expectations. They brought color, vibrancy, and magic to our wedding weekend. Sayles and her team were a dream to work with! My husband and I weren't overly familiar with flowers, but they made it so easy for us, and suggested flowers that we absolutely loved. My son and daughter in law wanted their wedding to be in Newport, RI. I live in NJ. While it seemed to be a daunting task, I began the search for vendors. Flowers have always made me feel happy, special and when I read about Sayles, I immediately knew she and her fabulous team were who I wanted to hire. I spoke to Cara at first who made me feel right at ease and then when Sayles and I spoke(many times by both phone and email) I truly knew the flowers she would design would be magical. Let me begin by saying spectacular doesn’t even go far enough! Every guest and even the staff of our venue had never seen anything like what she and her team had designed. Thank you doesn’t even begin to say enough. Sayles is the very best in every way!

I had followed Sayles for years before I got married and knew the day I got engaged that I wanted her to be my florist. What I didn’t know if how she and her team would absolutely blow my mind and bring my vision to life in ways that I did not know were even possible. I cannot recommend her enough, she is very calm cool and collected, very responsive to all communications, and she also was somehow able to interpret my very lackluster description of what I wanted into flowers fit for a fairy-tale. From the moment they brought me my bouquet (I squealed a bit) to the first time I saw the arrangements, my breath was taken away. When my parents walked the rooms to see everything, my Mom cried. Also, the countless number of people who said the flowers were stunning is a true testament to her artistry. We could not be happier and will be basking in the glow of how beautiful everything was for years to come.

We can hardly express in words how amazing Sayles Livingston was in providing flowers for our wedding in Providence in September 2019. From the early stages of planning, Sayles was responsive and easy to talk to on the phone and via email, and was extremely receptive to our ideas, both vague and specific. After every phone call or email, we received an updated quote with every detail noted. We had our ceremony at a church in Providence, and our reception at the Providence Public Library, and Sayles provided arrangements for both locations, as well as bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding party. Our main requests were that we have no roses, and that the arrangements be a lot of greenery with white flowers and the slightest touch of color. Other than that, we left it up to Sayles to provide seasonal and natural looking arrangements. For our table centerpieces, she designed a wreath around lanterns that we provided, and she also provided her own library card catalog for our escort card table arrangement. The bouquets were bountiful, intricate, and stunning, and the boutonnieres were elegant and understated. Perhaps the best part of all was a flowing greenery and floral arrangement down the stairs of the library, where our guests could not stop taking pictures because it looked so great. The flowers really transformed our venue from a pretty historic library to a beautiful reception space, and we cannot recommend Sayles enough as a wedding florist in Rhode Island.

So I was very nervous about florals because I was on a tight budget, but did not want my decor to appear that way. I am so thankful for Sayles and her team (Cara in particular who worked closely with us)!! They were so gracious and easy to work with throughout the whole process. They created beautiful arrangements and a bouquet that was out of this world (all while sticking to my budget!) They are so incredibly kind and amazing at what they do and I am so happy to have found them for my special day!!!!!!

Sayles Livingston Design was great to work with! After seeing what great work they did at my sister's wedding, it was a no brainer that I'd use them for my own wedding! Cara was such a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. She was always available to hop on the phone and quickly responded to any questions I had via email. I hired Sayles based on all of the amazing reviews. I planned a destination wedding and had not seen their work in person. After speaking with Cara and Sayles about my vision, I trusted their suggestions and they delivered exactly what I pictured while working within my budget! Sayles Livingston is the BEST!! Not knowing a lot about flowers or florists, we reached out to a couple different vendors in the area. After a conversation with Kara I know that Sayles was the right florist for me and it could not have been truer after seeing everything come to light on our wedding day. Throughout the entire process, Kara organized, thoughtful and informative! From what was some pins on my Pinterest vision board, came a BEAUTIFULLY orchestrated wedding. Sayles did our bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces and some ceremony/chair décor and I could not have been more happy with how they turned out. Having a budget in mind, while not being extremely knowledgeable about floral design, Sayles and Cara were able to provide recommendations and suggestions for making the most of out the day! Additionally, there is no request or inquiry too big or too small. Being from Alaska and having a wedding in Massachusetts, I wanted to somewhere incorporate the Alaska state flower… on my wedding day I was surprised with Forget-Me-Knots woven into my bridal bouquet. I was completely blown away with the customer service and just professional of Sayles. Could not recommend them more!!!!

By far, hands down, exceeded expectations, visions of wedding dreams, wedding flower GOALS!!!!!! Sayles and her team absolutely rock!!! First of all, I will start by noting that my Chuppah managed to survive a storm that brewed 60 MPH winds, 35 minutes before my ceremony started. Secondly, when I say that I was probably the most inconsistent, indecisive bride, her team put my vision together beyond my wildest dreams. You are foolish not to hire them. And, here's the best part - they are REASONABLE in their pricing. They are the best there is! They were responsive to emails within hours, and they coached me through every step of the way, even allowed me to make some minor changes the week of. They are a must hire!!
