From booking, to planning our original wedding, to working with us through several COVID postponements, to planning the final event, everyone that we dealt with was very kind, helpful, attentive, and accommodating. We had a couple of calls throughout the process to talk about what we wanted and Sayles and her team exceeded all our expectations both times. She sent over a detailed list of everything we discussed and even made a personalized Pinterest page specific to us to upload inspiration pictures that liked. The day of our wedding, all of the bridesmaids loved their bouquets and the arbor arrangements, centerpieces, whiskey barrel arrangements were all breathtaking. All night long my guests were commenting on how incredible the flowers were. I cannot recommend her enough, she is very calm cool and collected, very responsive to all communications, and she also was somehow able to interpret my very lackluster description of what I wanted into flowers fit for a fairy-tale. We can hardly express in words how amazing Sayles Livingston was in providing flowers for our wedding in Providence in September 2019. From the early stages of planning, Sayles was responsive and easy to talk to on the phone and via email, and ...
was extremely receptive to our ideas, both vague and specific. After every phone call or email, we received an updated quote with every detail noted. We had our ceremony at a church in Providence, and our reception at the Providence Public Library, and Sayles provided arrangements for both locations, as well as bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding party. Our main requests were that we have no roses, and that the arrangements be a lot of greenery with white flowers and the slightest touch of color. Other than that, we left it up to Sayles to provide seasonal and natural looking arrangements. For our table centerpieces, she designed a wreath around lanterns that we provided, and she also provided her own library card catalog for our escort card table arrangement. The bouquets were bountiful, intricate, and stunning, and the boutonnieres were elegant and understated. Perhaps the best part of all was a flowing greenery and floral arrangement down the stairs of the library, where our guests could not stop taking pictures because it looked so great. The flowers really transformed our venue from a pretty historic library to a beautiful reception space, and we cannot recommend Sayles enough as a wedding florist in Rhode Island.

er after seeing everything come to light on our wedding day. Throughout the entire process, Kara organized, thoughtful and informative! From what was some pins on my Pinterest vision board, came a BEAUTIFULLY orchestrated wedding. Sayles did our bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces and some ceremony/chair décor and I could not have been more happy with how they turned out. Having a budget in mind, while not being extremely knowledgeable about floral design, Sayles and Cara were able to provide recommendations and suggestions for making the most of out the day! arrangements. We were married in a nor'easter, so our planned outdoor ceremony had to be moved indoors, and Sayles and her team worked swiftly the day of the wedding to make that happen seamlessly.
As an out of town bride, I found Sayles and her team were hard to schedule meetings with. I worked with one person via phone and email for months leading up to the wedding, but when it came time to schedule two different weekend trips to meet in person, our event manager was either double booked or our appointment was forgotten entirely. This was very disheartening, as we drove 5 hours to get to this meeting on time only to realize the design team hadn't planned for it. While I don't think these miscommunications impacted our final event, this could be concerning to some brides.

to the tent on the day of the wedding, we were overcome by how beautiful everything looked. The bouquets, the arrangements and all of the decor were absolutely stunning. They had gotten the special dahlias we had requested and there was such a variety of flowers in all of the decor. st spectacular flower arrangements we have ever seen! We have received compliment after compliment (even from men, who don't generally notice such things) about the flowers. Due to the weather, the flowers for the ceremony had to be reimagined and changed from an outside to an inside arrangement, but Sayles took care of this without missing a beat. And she then repurposed most of the flowers for a brunch the morning after the wedding, and they looked every bit as wonderful as they did the day before.
We could go on, but suffice it to say that Sayles receives our highest possible recommendation. Her work made our daughter's wedding a most beautiful experience!

Staff was great, but was underwhelmed by the actual flowers at my wedding. My bridal bouquet showed up to my door looking exactly the same as the bridesmaid bouquets except for literally maybe 2 flowers more (but costing double the amount). It ...
didn’t look like the whimsical and flowy bouquet I requested both on Pinterest and in conversations. They did bring over more greenery to fix this, but that’s not really an issue you want to have to fix on your wedding day (also why am I paying $100 more than the bridesmaids bouquets for a few extra vines and leaves?). The boutonnières were not at all like the picture I sent either. It looked like they put one single white flower on a pin and called it a day. This is probably the most disappointing to me because now that terrible boutonnière is in every single picture of my husband and I. The rest of the flowers were fine, but still now exactly the relaxed and loose vibe I had said I wanted. And the gold votives I thought I was getting looked cheap and orange.
EDIT: I originally had this review as 3 stars, but am downgrading to one star because they contacted the Knot to try to remove my somewhat negative review. They told the site that my review was false and that they were "unable to recognize you by your name associated with this review, registered wedding date, and/or the content of your review." This is 100% false because my name and wedding date on this site is the same that's stated in my contract with them. It's clear they're only interested in positive reviews and don't care about honest feedback. This now makes sense to me why there are only good reviews on here. They probably report all negative reviews as false.

I am so sorry to hear this as you definitely had a great team of vendors working for you!!!! My particular team and I were so surprised that you didn’t reach out to us directly with your concerns - especially after the time that we spent with you on the planning. I think a review without a call is unfortunate. I tried to get in touch with you but haven't heard back. We work extremely hard to give our clients a wonderful product and experience and are happy to accommodate however we can. And we absolutely do offer our services throughout each wedding day set up, to make adjustments as needed, if something is amiss. We are available for anything! MANY CARING HANDS here touch everything that goes out the door from Sayles Livingston Design.
To address your specific issues: On your special day, I was so happy to personally come, within 1/2 hour of delivery, and make your bouquet closer to your vision by adding more flowers and greenery! I thought you loved it after that? When I asked you, you said it was “perfect”. I wish you had told me if not. Design is subjective and all of us in the industry strive to discern our clients' preferences. We listen and interpret the best that we can ahead of time but we also CAN adjust as needed and work hard for perfection on your wedding day. As far as your votive candles, they were new but perhaps not the shade of gold you wanted?!! I am a bit confused about that. And finally, your boutonnieres were ranunculus as you requested? We do not create anything here without thought and care.
EDIT: I think what you got from the Knot was an automated reply. I did not write that. I believe it's standard for the Knot to verify the identity of reviewers and furthermore, the Knot almost NEVER removes bad reviews. All of our reviews are completely legitimate and hard earned for sure!!!! I'm sure our reviewers will attest!

On the day of our wedding, I was blown away by how our digital proposal transformed into real life. Our chuppah was stunning, and all of the flowers & candles inside of the tent were so beautiful - they truly helped make the night feel magical. All of our friends & family commented on how beautiful the flowers were, specifically our super long head table! I could not recommend Sayles more highly, working with her team was one of the best decisions I made throughout wedding planning!

nation and it was so hard for me to pick vendors not getting to meet them or see their work in person. However, the ladies were so good at conveying exactly what everything would look like (the personalized pinterest board was a great help) and were great at giving suggestions about colors and placements in the venue. They also were very responsive and always excited to hear new ideas I had. The pricing was very reasonable and Sayles was very respectful of my budget without sacrificing any little detail. The flowers at the ceremony, the bouquets, the rehearsal dinner flowers, centerpieces, and head table garland were all so gorgeous! I also wanted something that would be a focal point in the venue- kind of a wow piece that hadn't been done before (and boy did we rack our brains to find the perfect fit)- and the ladies built an amazing hanging floral structure to go above my escort card table and everyone was in such awe! It was the first thing I saw when I entered the venue on the day of and I could have cried everything looked so amazing! I am a very, very tough person to please with a big Type A personality so it was very hard to me to not be able to picture exactly how everything looked until the day of and I was BLOWN away by how gorgeous everything came out- it was so ABOVE and BEYOND what I had pictured. I can't sing the praises of Sayles Livingston enough! She's wonderful to deal with and is truly a master of her craft. A floral artist, not a florist :) You would be remiss to hire another floral designer.

After I received the first proposal, I was worried about exceeding my flower budget so I called and Cara who was so helpful in offering alternatives to make it fit in my budget without sacrificing quality and the vision I wanted. I truly appreciated how easy, professional, and responsive they were, even as I made changes and tweaks along the way. On the day of the wedding when I saw all the flowers and candles I was blown away and other guests even commented how stunning everything was, all thanks to Sayles and her team. center pieces perfect and exactly as I had pictured them- they went above and beyond. The day of my wedding the weather wasn't wonderful and we had planned an outdoor wedding. Knowing that Plan B was to have the ceremony inside they made sure that the venue was decorated incase we were going to be indoors. I was deeply touched (seriously I almost cried) that they did this on their own and put the though and effort in to make sure Plan B would be beautiful. I was so grateful.
