We cannot recommend Sara enough - my wife and I had a fairly unique vision for our wedding which required a lot of coordination, planning, and experience with weddings. Sara’s experience made sure that our day was perfect, and she was a joy to work with. She helped keep us on track for key milestones, woke with vendors to make sure they included everything we would need, and helped us make tough decisions based on her deep expertise with weddings. Sara knows the ins and outs of weddings, has great ideas to help you meet your vision, but also isn’t afraid to challenge you and tell you something isn’t realistic based on budget, logistics, etc. Sara was also excellent doing the rehearsal and day of the wedding - if there was an issue, we didn’t hear about it and it was handled. Her preparation and commitment made sure everything went off without a hitch.

We found out we were having a baby shortly after getting engaged and I knew I needed a wedding planner. I am BEYOND lucky to have found SD Events!! Sara was amazing through the entire process, had a roster of amazing vendors for me to consider, handled all the details and calls and meetings. She brought my (sometimes vague) vision to life! Great communication for the whole year that we worked together and I never felt like a bother when my mom-brain asked the same questions a million times :)
Sara and Alli came in clutch on wedding weekend as well! I knew I had nothing to worry about and they handled every surprise - from 35 year old moldy toasting flutes to an emergency bustle situation. They are both great at their job and just great people who I enjoyed getting to know and work with.
We hired SD Events to help plan our 100-person spring wedding in Baltimore, and were absolutely BLOWN AWAY at the service they provided. Sara was an absolute pleasure to work with — helpful, knowledgeable, organized, responsive, and just a wonderfully friendly person to have by our sides as we planned the wedding. She took what could have been a very stressful process and made it easy and fun. On the day of, the wedding went off without a hitch thanks to Sara and her sister Alli (the other half of SD Events). We had the wedding of our dreams all thanks to them!

We hired S.D. Events for partial planning at the Dye House and got so much more than we expected. As a type-A bride, I was beyond impressed with Sara’s organization, vast network, and ability to bring our vision to life. She kept us on track throughout the planning process, handled almost all the vendor coordination, and hooked us up with insider tips to save money along the way. Day-of she and Alli completely nailed it - every detail was taken care of and they even helped us plan a last minute parent dance without missing a beat. Our big day would not have been the same without Sara & Alli.

Words truly can't begin to capture how grateful I am for SD Events. Their guidance, support, expertise, professionalism, time, organization, etc. throughout our planning process was beyond my wildest dreams. From our initial consultation call to our many emails and texts in between, I knew I could trust Sara from the start. When interviewing and booking vendors, each professional spoke so highly of her and were beyond thrilled to be working with SD again. We hired SD Events for partial planning for our wedding held at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in April and I truly cannot recommend Sara more! She is so incredibly on top of everything, is communicative and responsive, and did such an incredible job helping us execute the perfect wedding day. Sara kept us organized over the months of planning with a detailed checklist, timelines, and meetings. It was a huge weight off my shoulder to know that I had a capable professional guiding us through the planning process, answering our many questions, and taking over the nitty-gritty details in those hectic final months before the wedding. By the time we came to the wedding day, I was so calm because I knew Sara was in charge (along with her amazing sister, Alli!). If you’re on the fence about hiring a planner, stop hesitating and hire Sara; you won’t regret it.
SD Events are the best possible planners anyone could ever wish for! From the moment we first met, Sara immediately latched on to the vision we had and helped guide us to round out our ideas, vendors, timeline and so much more. Hiring Sara was the best thing we did for our wedding. Our wedding was the best and most joyful night of our lives and she was instrumental in making that happen. From our first phone call, she was organized, detailed, responsive...and most importantly, fun! She went above and beyond for us countless times while we worked with her. To her credit, she was very patient with us throughout the planning process when we weren't able to articulate our vision for certain things or changed our minds.

True lifesavers. Sara and Alli executed all of our overly ambitious DIY projects flawlessly. Honestly do not know what we would have done without them, from helping us with vendor coordination to remembering to pass out light sticks on the dance floor, they were incredible. Sara went above and beyond from day one when we panicked called her after realizing we were in over our heads. Not only are they great at what they do, they are great people too! 11/10, hire SD!
Sara was beyond words. There is no other way to describe S.D. Events! Sara is not only amazing at what she does, but she is a gem to work with. She made me feel seen as the bride and also as someone who is a complete perfectionist. One call with Sara and I knew that I was in amazing hands. She understood my vision, helped me cultivate additional details, made sure all our vendors understood my vision, and delivered an ICONIC wedding! She did all this and more, while making sure I was cool, calm, and collected (which is not easy). I would definitely recommended S.D events! Sara was very knowledgeable, but also very approachable and friendly. She definitely helped me feel at ease with the planning process. I don't know how I would have managed without her, especially on the day of! Additionally, every other vendor that she recommended to us from photographer to DJ was awesome- she knows all the right people! Great taste.
I loved working with Sara and Allie! They had some excellent recommendations for local vendors (Annapolis area) when my florist fell through and helped me fulfill some other vendor needs. They were super organized and helped me navigate some challenging situations with one of my vendors in the last two weeks before my wedding. We came through the situation with great resolutions and very little stress. It could have been a lot worse, but Sara was great working with me and the vendor.
The day of the wedding, my seating chart hadn't arrived. I was a little concerned it wouldn't arrive before my reception. Since I knew Sara and Allie were on it I didn't worry. They took care of everything. The seating chart arrived just before the reception. My husband asked me if I was worried. I said no. I told him I have Sara and Allie here to help me and even if the seating chart doesn't arrive it will all work out. He agreed I was smart to have hired them.
Sara and Allie aren't just super professional and easy to work with, but they are wonderful people who you want to hang out with. I am grateful for all of their work to ensure my day was perfect. I would definitely recommend hiring Sara and Allie for your wedding. You won't be disappointed!
To start, I am a very type A/detail-oriented person and thought there was no way I needed help from a wedding planner- I had been dreaming of my big day since I was 6 years old and I knew all I needed to know to throw the biggest party of our lives. Boy was I wrong! From the very first meeting we had with Sara we knew that she would be the wedding planner we never knew we needed. She and her sister Alli are the BEST team when it comes to weddings! Throughout our year and a half long wedding planning process, Sara filled in as not only our planner but also our therapist, comedian, contract reviewer, level-headed confidante, family obstacle navigator, stress reliever, and most importantly, friend. The month leading up to our wedding (typically the most stressful time) I felt so calm and relieved that Sara had covered every minute detail and that feeling continued throughout our wedding day!! She has such a genuine nature that we felt comfortable with any and all vendors she recommended and this was proven true when our photographer & DJ both told my husband and I that we had the dream team of wedding vendors for our big day! Sara and Alli were always available for any question we had, big or small, and we trusted them with our lives. In fact, on our wedding day, I didn't care too much about the details of what the tables/decor would look like and when I first saw our reception space it brought tears to my eyes. Sara latched on to my vision and drove it further than I could have imagined. The entire wedding day went on without an issue and myself, my husband, and our parents didn't have to lift a finger or worry about ANYTHING because Sara and Alli had thought of it all! Seriously, every little thing down to the minute of your day, they thought of it. We are eternally grateful for their help and legitimately would not have remained sane during our wedding planning if we didn't hire them. If you're on the fence, please just hire them!!! SD Events was the second vendor we hired with our venue being the first and they were without a doubt the best decision we made for our wedding. I promise you will not regret hiring SD Events!
We LOVED working with Sara and Alli at S.D. Events. They're wonderful communicators. They also had great relationships with all of our vendors--and really made the whole wedding planning process a breeze.
Sarah is amazing!!!!! She literally relieved so much of my stress! In those last few weeks when I was worried about everything, she took the reins and made sure all my vendors were on top of their obligations. The rehearsal was so smooth with her directing everyone in the wedding party of their roles. And the wedding SHE NAILED IT!!! She knew my vision to the T and executed it flawlessly! She even offered to move our ceremony arch to the reception area so we could also use it behind our sweetheart table. And at the end of the night she cleaned up and packed our parents cars. It was such a relief that our moms were able to enjoy the whole day and not worry about setting up or cleaning up! You NEED Sarah !! ❤️❤️ 10 out of 10 recommend!!
Words cannot express my gratitude for Sra and Alli. My wedding was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because of them. They kept me sane and organized through the entire process and were very thorough. I had quite a few vendors and Sara communicated with them all flawlessly. If you think you don't need a wedding planner, think again and if you think you can go with just any one THINK AGAIN!
Sara is a top-notch planner, and I am incredibly lucky to have had her help. She always made us feel as though she had everything 100% under control. Trust me, you want this is a planner!! The day of the wedding ran so smoothly and couldn’t have been more perfect.
Due to COVID our wedding planning experience went from two years to three years, and I honestly could not have done it without Sara. Sara very quickly went from the knowledgable planner I appreciated having by my side through all of the craziness of planning a wedding, but she very quickly became a funny, intelligent, sweet, and caring friend. Sara is a true professional who went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams come true. Sara's incredible sister Alli was also there during our wedding weekend and was a huge help! Of all the wedding vendors I booked, SD Events was BY FAR the most valuable! Working with them saved me countless headaches. Sara and Alli are so fun and easy to work with, it felt like I was hanging out with my friends. Sara was so helpful the whole way through the process, from providing amazing vendor recs, helping with the floor plan, timeline, to-do lists, rehearsal, and more. We had regular meetings to check in and make sure everything was on track. They set up and broke down all of my decor and made my wedding day so much easier for me. We had thunderstorms the day of the wedding and I made the (way too late) decision to move everything inside. They helped me beyond what I could have expected and had my back the whole way through the day and helped to coordinate a perfect rain backup that ended up still feeling so special. Sara was invaluable in helping plan all of the details, from the biggest down to the smallest of things, and every time we spoke she helped me feel less stressed and overwhelmed about what needed to get done. I would highly recommend SD Events to anyone who wants to make their wedding planning smoother, and who wants to have a perfect wedding day with an amazing planner who thinks of literally everything!
My husband and I worked with Sara to plan our May wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Art and cannot recommend her highly enough! We used SD Events partial planning process and genuinely looked forward to every planning call with Sara - we always walked away feeling so much better about where we were in the planning process.
The month leading up to the wedding I truly felt calm just knowing Sara was on top of everything. She came and met us not once but twice an hour away to pick-up our wedding extras and went above and beyond coordinating all the little details we wanted to include in our day. Our wedding day was seamless all thanks to the work Sara did in advance and the expertise she and Allie bring to each wedding. I could go on and on and on forever about everything that makes SD Events so wonderful but I'll leave it at this...book them.
Sara was so much more than a day-of coordinator. She helped us stay organized and sane during the madness of pandemic rescheduling. She was always very kind and flexible and understanding when helping us get items to and from the venue. During the reception she checked in on us constantly to make sure our day went perfect. sara + ali of SD Events are incredible! my husband and I hired sara as our month-of coordinator and it was the best decision that we made in the entire wedding planning process. sara is communicative, professional, organized, timely, and helped me every step of the way. leading up to the wedding, she helped us create a timeline, attended vendor meetings, provided creative ideas, and made me feel so calm about the whole wedding planning process. on our wedding weekend, sara and ali did everything they could, and then some, to ensure that our wedding day was everything we dreamed of. despite running into a few hiccups, sara and ali handled everything with flexibility and grace. we truly cannot thank SD Events enough!
We hired SD Events to be day-of coordinators and they were absolutely phenomenal. From the first couple of meetings to the end of the wedding day, they were extremely organized, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. They also really put my mind at ease. If you're thinking of hiring a day of or month of coordinator - look no further! Sara and Alli are fantastic. Hands down - best money I personally spent for my wedding. Sara was the main POC for me, and was there to coordinate the details of my wedding day and she was fabulous. Super approachable, easy to talk to, and great at her job. We met several times and ironed out all those details that some brides, like me, can find very overwhelming. Sara and Alli were both there on the day of the wedding and helped make sure everything ran super smoothly. I can't say enough positive things about them. They are the best!

Where do I even start with these two?! For context, I'm someone who really didn't think they needed a wedding planner. One call with Sara proved me so wrong - she is truly a wedding wizard and quickly became our planner, friend, therapist, comedic relief, and more. She has the most wonderful blend of kindness and humor while also being extremely organized and on top of every little detail. We truly looked forward to every call with her - we always left feeling lighter and less stressed, and most importantly, like we had someone in our corner making our day perfect. Looking back on the actual wedding day, I cannot imagine not having both Sara and Alli there. Not only did they make sure everything was perfect, but they were such a friendly face throughout the night - checking in to make sure we were having fun, taken care of, etc. If you're on the fence about hiring a planner (particularly this dynamic duo), consider this your sign. Prioritize this vendor - it will make everything else fall into place.
Without Sara & Allie, my wedding would not have been as amazing as it was! Part planner, part helping hands, part therapist, part confidant - they did it all! I will tell my friends to hire them. I will hopefully never need their wedding services again, *fingers crossed* but would hire them a million times over if I ever had another event, vow renewals, a milestone birthday. Sara was always there to answer a quick text, help me with a gut check decision. They were so organized and helped out where my vendors would have charged me hundreds of dollars to stick around to set tables, etc. It was seriously like having a second best friend next to you for your big day.
Now that our working relationship has come to an end, we feel we must write another review for Sara & Alli at SD Events. This duo is absolutely amazing to work with and made our wedding day so seamless and stress free. Being a COVID 2020 couple was not always easy but having SD Events on our side made it so much better!
With Sara’s help we were able to replan our 2021 wedding renewal ceremony & reception with ease. From creating a detailed day of schedule, making sure vendors knew the schedule and followed it, taking care of all the set up and breakdown, handling vendor questions, helping set up bars and tables (they jump in and help when they can!), and handling vendor tips. Having this team do all the day of items made our special day run smoothly.
We could not have done this without Sara & Alli. We are extremely sad our working relationship has ended but look forward to catching up over brunch or coffee!
I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Sara and Alli! They are so fun to work with — very down to earth and comforting during a stressful and overwhelming time — but at the same time, they are so incredibly organized and masters at what they do down to every last detail.
We had a few meetings leading up to the big day (Sara was super generous with her time and always made me feel like I was the only bride she was supporting!), and then the day of went so smoothly. They were so efficient in keeping all of the moving pieces of the day flowing on time. It was honestly a dream come true for me.
As someone who is pretty organized myself, I went back and forth at the beginning of wedding planning as to whether or not I needed a wedding planner or day-of support. If you are also one of those people, I cannot stress enough how happy I was with my decision to hire Sara and Alli. I was able to enjoy my day and be completely in the moment, and they also brought up tons of good points ahead of time during the planning process that I would have never planned for or considered. They truly made the entire experience amazing and worthwhile!
Sarah and Alli of SD Events were absolutely LEGENDARY to have as wedding planners for our special day! My partner and I are both “planners” ourselves having experience in organizing large-scale events and thus, never thought we needed a wedding planner. And in fact, we accomplished a lot of the big tasks way in advance, and were feeling pretty confident as we moved toward our wedding….until, that is, about a month before the big day – when we realized that there were so many tasks to accomplish and coordinate in those final few weeks/days leading up to the event, we had a panic moment! Throw in thinking about actually how we’d “run the show” on the day of our wedding when we needed to focus on getting married and enjoying the company of loved ones (including during the after party when essential breakdown needed to happen), we realized we were in desperate need of a coordinator!
We luckily happened upon Sarah and SD events. From the very first inquiry, Sarah was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with about the various needs in front of us. Meeting with her in person to discuss our needs in greater detail, we immediately knew this was a perfect fit! Not only did Sarah quickly pick up on our vision, she was proactive in a constructive and genuine way by offering advice and connections with her network in the industry/area that were invaluable! Seriously, she thought of EVERYTHING!
In those final and critical days/hours leading up to our wedding, Sarah was willing to meet our every need and spearheaded the final logistics in a way that put us at ease and confident that she would go above and beyond to coordinate our wedding, which was nothing short of perfect! The same can be reiterated for her coordination on our big day, pulling off the larger task of seamlessly moving our big day from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner, etc., but also honing in on smaller, yet thoughtful details – such as making sure to bring some hor’dourves to our bridal suite so that my new spouse and I could have some food and enjoy the choices we made (which we probably would have never thought to eat otherwise!). Sarah also took the lead on figuring out how to hang a neon sign on a historic brick wall built in the 1800s when the team realized last minute that there were no nails to hang it from! We didn’t even know there was a problem until the next day because Sarah jumped into action without ever bothering us!!! The sign was hung by wedding time and looked amazing over the dancefloor. Finally, after it was all said and done, Sarah was a valuable asset in assuring that all the loose ends were tied up and resolving any post-wedding tasks that needed to be accomplished.
Beyond how amazing they are at planning and implementing a wedding, Sarah and her sister, Alli, are genuinely nice and cool people! They always made us feel at ease and like we were talking with friends. Although they are extremely well organized and on top of everything, they also take a “go with the flow” attitude/approach, which is an awesome trait to having in a wedding coordinator that helps you feel at ease! Many wedding guests commented on how calm my partner and I were throughout the whole day , which we 100% attribute to Sarah and Alli’s preparedness and personality.
We would hire her 10/10 times again if we ever need coordinating for other events and truly know that without her and Alli’s assistance, our wedding would not have been the LEGENDARY event that it was!
Sara and Alli are both such a pleasure to work with! We used a digital honeybook online as our primary mode of communication where everyone involved could view the conversation at all times, ask questions, and say what was needed. They were very well organized and their attention to detail was fantastic! They truly took the stress off my parents and I on my wedding day. I highly recommend Sara and Alli!

Alli and Sarah were amazing to work with! They went above and beyond in every way possible. They kept my husband and me on track during the whole planning process and made sure we stuck to our deadlines; they sent us reminders and did not let anything slip through the cracks. We really enjoyed our monthly meetings with SD Events. Sara and Alli are the fairy godmother's of the wedding planning world!! I hired SD Events for day-of coordination last summer in the early wedding planning stages before I really knew what all was involved with wedding planning. They truly go above and beyond!! They are so kind, thorough, and very professional! Sarah and her sister Alli are awesome. I was very nervous planning my wedding because I’m a very organized person and I knew I couldn’t be the morning before the wedding organizing everything. I hired Sarah for the day of the wedding coordination and from the moment I met her I felt in love. She made everything come together, made a timeline and also made sure all my vendors had all the information. Honestly i was very happy I found them! My fiance was very happy as well they did such a great job! In addition to all these they are great people, you meet them and you want to be their friends.
Sara went above and beyond. We both felt so comfortable with her and her sister Alli. They were so flexible, understanding, responsive, and detail oriented. They gave us a stress free wedding we couldn't have managed alone. I also trusted Sara's eye and felt comfortable with her making day-of calls on decor/placement of floral arrangements, etc in the venue. She also put together our chuppah and garland. Wow - I don't even know where to begin. I will start with this - you are really stupid if you do not hire Sara and Alli. These women are so amazing its not even funny. I was planning a wedding with my Mom who is SUPER busy as she owns her own business. We were kind of all over the place and finally decided to hire a coordinator.
Thank God for Sara and Alli. Immediately we had an in person meeting where we went over everything. I wasn't the traditional bride who knew everything she wanted right away - Sara and Alli helped me figure this out along the way. They had so many amazing ideas for me, and helped fill me in on all the small details that I would have never even thought of. Every meeting came with timelines, ideas on paper (mood board type things), and just calmness and patience.
They consistently checked in with me to see how I was doing, always asking if I needed anything. They provided their own decorations since they matched with our theme. They made us some cute signs and menus.
The day before the wedding they were sweating their butts off helping get everything set up. They even stayed out in the storm when the tent fell and took care of this while the rest of me and my family left for our rehearsal dinner. The next day, again, they were out sweating their butts off getting everything ready for the day. I literally did not have to deal with anything but my own emotions and I got to enjoy the one day I would never forget.
These ladies are so amazing at what they do. They also are kind, funny, smart and beautiful on the inside and out. They go above and beyond what is asked of them, and there are not many people like that on this earth.
Please hire these two because I promise you will not regret it!!!
If you are looking for a coordinator that will go above and beyond to make sure your wedding goes absolutely perfectly, please stop looking and book SD Events right away! I could not have been happier with Sara and Alli’s coordination of my New Year’s Eve wedding. We had a lot of moving parts and they handled every single moment effortlessly. They are responsive, flexible, trustworthy, professional, and the best part is, you can tell that both of them truly care about you and your wedding day. I can’t tell you how many times I texted Sara about little things (sorry Sara!) and she responded immediately, gave me great ideas, and put me at ease. They were also so enthusiastic and supportive, which really meant a lot to me as an extremely stressed out bride. I could go on on and on with all of the positive things I have to say about these two women, but I will just say this: Placing the intricate details of my wedding day in Sara and Alli’s hands was absolutely the best decision I made. Please do not hesitate to hire them, you will be so glad you did!
I can go on and on about how fabulous S.D. Events,LLC were during my wedding process. They were open to all of my ideas (which were a million and one), and helped me narrow down to what was most important. They were able to provide great advice, helpful tricks and a great friendship during this stress time. Their response time was excellent. They made sure that i was meeting deadlines with other vendors. They also provided "day of" wedding support, OMG what would I have done without them. I had not a care or worry throughout my entire day. I would highly recommend them for your special day. My husband and I were very pleased!:)
My husband and I are so grateful we had the opportunity to have S.D events assist with our wedding day! Sara and her sister were extremely professional and worked so hard to get the job done! Sara was so much more than a typical day of planner! She made sure she was well informed every step of the way! Sara was very quick at answering ALL my questions! Sara helped keep the wedding process as fun and stress free as possible. My husband and I were able to enjoy every minute of our day ( and our days leading up to the wedding) because we knew Sara had everything under control we trusted her completely !
