SeaCoast Catering and Lobster Bakes / Sprague Point

There were pros and there were cons about Seacoast catering. The pros were: the food was very tasty, the wait staff was very friendly and attentive, everyone arrived on time. The cons were interacting with Lurie. In the beginning she seemed like she was very organized and attentive but as the wedding started getting closer her communication rapidly declined. We received short responses that were impossible to decipher based on the grammar and spelling and then the day before our wedding she casually told us she wasn’t feeling well and wouldn’t be able to come and that she would send her catering captain in her place. Mind you she had also agreed to help with our day of wedding coordination so having her not show up last minute was pretty stressful. Not to mention that when asked to confirm that she wouldn’t be present she said she had a “hectic week coming up with a 300 person wedding” so basically we read that as the other wedding being more important than ours. Overall I would say that she probably overbooks herself. In addition, the final bill we received exceeded the quote we received. The labor costs was $2K above the original quote which was a bit off putting and when we asked about why it increased so much, her response was rude as if we were not allowed to question the inflated final cost. In the end, we were on cloud 9 as newly weds but if we could go back, we might reconsider hiring this company.

Lurie was amazing from start to finish. She helped us liaise with the rental company as we had our wedding at home. She was incredibly knowledgeable about wedding logistics and flow and was always conscious of our bottom line. The week of our wedding she would get back to us within the hour. The food was INCREDIBLE. All our guests raved about the stations and the appetizers.

Lauri and her crew were amazing. Our guests have continued to comment on how wonderful they were and how delicious the entire meal was. If you looking for a fantastic caterer for a traditional lobster/clam bake affair, look no further!!!!

Lurie and her team are exceptional! From the beginning of the planning process to the end of the event itself they handled everything in a positive and professional manner! She is a true professional and handled every little detail of our event while also listening attentively to help us achieve our vision. Not to mention the food was DELICIOUS!
