We hired Secret Fire Media for Video + Photo this year. We originally did not think we'd be able to include Photo and Video into our budget but Mat was able to work with us to figure out a package that fit what we were looking for. We just received our photos and wedding video this week and I can't stop checking them out! Any other couples who are on the fence about video, hire Mat, you won't regret it!

Matthew is absolutely amazing from start to finish. Not only did Matthew capture the most amazing moments of my wife, Anjali and I's wedding, but he also helped out with so much other stuff throughout the entire day. The video and drone footage was of such high quality, the highlight video was so elegantly put together and even after all this - Matt put together something special at our request. Matthew, we want to thank you so much for not just being the videographer, bur for being truly apart of our wedding party. You did an amazing job and we absolutely recommend everyone booking you. Matthew of Secret Fire Video was our photographer and videographer for our daughter's 2019 wedding at West Point Military Academy. It was a challenge to plan a wedding in New York while we live in Illinois. Matthew made himself available the couple of times we were in town visiting the Academy. We appreciated his professionalism! Matthew did a wonderful job the day of the wedding! He took all our requested photos and the video captured all our beautiful memories! Matthew and Secret Fire Media are amazing! My husband and I booked both photography/videography for our wedding with Matthew and could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. We initially booked an engagement shoot to see if we worked well together and Matthew went above & beyond. The photos were BEAUTIFUL! He touched base in the planning process to ensure everything was ready for our special day. Everything was timely, organized and truly beautiful. We can't say enough about Matthew and his work, he's insanely talented!!!

Matthew was so easy going and fun to talk to from our first email exchange. He always answered all my silly questions and was great with communication from the time of reservation to the wedding day. He arrived early on the day of and was able to get more photos than what we had originally planned and was so great with the speed in which he flew through photos so we could enjoy our cocktail hour. He captured everything we wanted and more and we couldn’t be more happy to have him not only as a part of our wedding day, but to have him as a part of our lives forever! We cannot get enough of Matthew and Barry’s photo and video expertise as we continue to relive our wedding day through their art! We received our videos and photos via download exactly 2 months after our wedding, with a little Instagram teaser thrown in the middle! About 1 month later we received this beautiful box containing our DVDs, USB, a super thoughtful card and even a candle! Even after the wedding, Matthew continues to impress me! Thank you doesn't even begin to cover it…we love you!

Secret Fire Media was able to create a video of the ceremony and special moments of the wedding reception during our wedding in December 2020. Having a covid micro- wedding wasn’t easy, but they were there to create a movie with all the highlights that made the day memorable! Don’t hesitate in booking for your video memories, because it’s a valuable video of a day you should never forget, and to have video memories of the day and people who were there to share in it, some of which no longer here with us today. In addition, they helped over 100 guests attend in the ceremony via zoom. It was so important to have this component available because of the restrictions at the time to only allow a 50 person guest list.

At first we weren’t sure we needed video of the wedding but as it got closer and I talked to more people about videography, we decided to change our minds and found Secret Fire Media. I AM SO GLAD WE DID!! As the bride, the day is a blur and goes by so fast, I am sooo grateful to have that footage of the day to look back on and really cherish. He did a lovely job with shooting and editing our video, making sure we could relive the best parts of the day. Overall, working with Matthew was really easy start to finish and he worked with us through some major plan changes.

We were initially on the fence about videography, but we are so glad we did, and it was one of the best decisions we made to go with Secret Fire Media. The day of Matt was in the background, exactly how we wanted but still managed to get some amazing shots. We love our Highlight Video and can't thank Secret Fire Media enough!

(A issue with my dress didn't help) Matt was able to keep things on track throughout the whole day and gave us amazing direction during the formal photos and blended into the background during the reception. Matthew and Secret Fire Media were very good to work with from beginning conversations through our wedding day. We were a little concerned considering the reviews haven't been the greatest due to circumstances but we addressed those and made Matt aware we were concerned. He was great with day-of planning, on our wedding day and we got out video when promised. He kept us up to date as to when our video would be ready and sent in the mail. Additionally, followed up to make sure we received our DVD. I asked for a minor change in out highlight video and am only just waiting for that :)

We had our wedding this summer at Villa Barone and we are happy we went with Secret Fire Media. Barry was great the day of and everything came out beautiful!!!

I just need to give a shout out to Secret Fire Media !!!!! I recently was a bride whose videographer was unable to fulfill their contract and gave me only my raw footage. I was very upset that I didn’t have any edits of our special day, and secret fire media worked with me to take that raw footage and create something beautiful!!! His editing, visual creativity, and just everything is AMAZING! Not only did he do this for us but he turned it around in less than 2 weeks!!!!! I am so unbelievably grateful!!!! He has fantastic pricing and to be honest i wish I found him prior to our wedding so I could have booked with him. If you are looking for a videographer who is trustworthy, great at what they do, and great pricing, I highly recommend them!!!!!

Giving Matt a 5 star because not only was he amazing but he captured our beautiful day, amazing communication , even helped carry my dress my vail and helped put my earrings in when we couldn’t get them in. DO NOT BOOK SECRET FIRE MEDIA! Matt is responsive until he gets your money and you sign the contract. My wedding coordinator couldn't get in touch with him before the wedding, and neither could I. In the contract, it said I would get the footage back 8 weeks after my wedding, yet it took 5 months to get it from him. After the 8 weeks passed, he didn't respond to my emails, and it took months to hear from him. Excuse after excuse. The cheap price is not worth the stress. Hire someone else.

We used Secret Fire media since they provided both video and photo at a an affordable price. Our photographers and videographers were amazing! Matt, the opener who handles payment and scheduling is hard to work with! He does not timely respond to emails or phone calls. My media was due on 9/23/22 and he has been ignoring my emails and call prior to the due date, and now! I have not seen any of my photos or videos! I am calling 3x time a day to see if he picks up, or even respond to my email. Nothing! NOT WORTH IT!

We used Secret Fire Media for our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone a thousand times over! Matt and Ryan were extremely courteous, patient, and professional, but were also super fun and comfortable to work with! They are a fantastic team who worked effortlessly to help make our wedding a dream come true! Matt sent over "sneak peak" photos within a few days of our wedding and they turned out beautifully! We can not wait to see the rest! Additionally, they are a reasonably priced company that delivers top-notch results!

My husband and I hired Matt to be our videographer for our wedding day, and are so glad we did! He has been so sweet and responsive. On our wedding day, he was there to capture our most special moments, and did so in a way that felt natural--we never felt awkward, in fact, he blended so well and sneakily that you didn't even remember the camera was on you! Initially we were really on the fence about having a videographer. We figured it wasn’t necessary and we would be okay with just photos, but something in me said to look around and we came across Matthew from Secret Fire Media. We decided to use him as our videographer and are so happy we did. The day of our wedding it was as if Matthew wasn’t even there, he was able to blend in seamlessly and capture all of our important moments. When we received our videos it was like replaying the best day, and they videos themselves came out absolutely beautiful. If you’re on the fence, do it!

Let me start by saying I am so happy we booked Secret Fire Media for photo and video at our wedding! Matt and his partner were awesome, and they really took their time to make sure they got the best shots! I appreciated that Matt had a vision and was able to coordinate all of our pics quickly and effectively. If you are uncertain, just book with them, you will definitely be happy that you did!!

We got married in Aug. 2021, after a cancelled wedding in 2020 due to Covid. We planned it in 3 months & used SFM for photo/video/live stream. I learned of them through an acquaintance that used them for their wedding & trusted the recommendation. I had 2 months left to my wedding as my previous photographer fell through. I left a great review for them after our wedding, but now that I’ve gotten all of my photos & videos, I had to update. Matthew is very slow at responding to calls/emails & he would not return calls/emails for days on end. We live overseas & wanted to live stream our ceremony for our family abroad. Matthew says we ran behind schedule so he did not have time to properly set up the equipment. We had 2 photographers, so if he took the time to set up the live stream, we would have managed just fine with the other photographer. But Matthew did not test the sound or camera position so the first 2 minutes of our live stream has absolutely no sound, & he didn’t start recording until my bridesmaids walked down the aisle, completely missing my husband & no sound until I got to the chuppah. The videographer also missed part of the aisle, not getting my husband, or him putting the vail on me, which is a Jewish custom & something we spoke about before. We hired 1 photographer & 1 videographer, but the week before Matthew added another photographer at no cost. It was a wonderful addition that we did not ask for but a shame that important moments were still missed. Matthew gave us a day of schedule & said he would amend it to include the 2nd photographer. I never received this new schedule. I emailed him 3 days before the wedding, but I never heard from him until he showed up at the venue on the day. Another missed photo was our entry way (seating chart, photo booth, etc). I think those shots are pretty standard. For video, there was no footage of the ketubah signing but there were photos. Where was the videographer? We walked down the aisle right after this so the fact that he missed the signing & part of the aisle was concerning. When I got my photos, there was 1 major shot of the whole bridal party in front of the venue but 2 of the people in the photo weren’t ready. He kept saying it was against policy & all to share all photos with me & stated that he gets the final say in which moments are shared of the big day. I expressed concern of 2 photos - family in front of the venue & another of my sister & niece as my niece’s eyes were closed. Matthew said he can’t share other shots with me regardless of my disappointment. I may have misunderstood the meaning of Raw Files, but all I asked about were 2 photos in particular, as they both were clearly not the best photos. After much back & forth he finally gave in & sent me other shots of the group photo & these shots were better than the 1 shot he shared with me. The 1 of my niece he edited sloppily to open her eyes & the photo didn’t improve. I was upset that photos of key people in the wedding only had one shot. For the few missed shots, he offered a $200 refund. We then spoke about this refund for over a month before he finally sent over the $200. Overall, they were affordable & did take beautiful photos. But they missed some key moments that were previously discussed & important to us & we cannot get those back. He could also really improve with communication as you do have to follow up a lot.

We had Barry from Secret Fire Media for videography for our wedding. Barry was a great videographer and was very helpful throughout the day. He always made sure to get the good angles and worked very well with our photographer. We are excited to get the final video!

Secret Fire Media was the perfect addition to our wedding. Their prices are absolutely unbeatable. The owner Matt is very understanding and responsive. In addition to normal videography they also offer great options such as drone video. I think it would have been such a cool touch however our venue would not allow the drone. Barry was our videographer and he was absolutely fantastic. He was so respectful and we got along great. He made the entire thing a very smooth process. After the wedding we received the video very quickly and it was so good. They did a great job.

We hired Matt to be our videographer for our big day. From start to finish, Matt was so responsive and sweet. Any questions I had, he got back to me quickly and assured me everything would go smoothly. Matt was an absolute pleasure to work with. He totally understood what we were looking for and was very easy going. We even asked to make a small tweak to our highlight video and not only did he happily do it but he did it so fast! We didn't want to feel like their was paparazzi followinm us around all day, but Matt and his videographer were so good at blending in throughout the reception and wedding day. My wife and I were married back in 2017 and have since been consumed by events in our personal life - we didn't have the opportunity to sing the praises of Matt and his incredible work until now. Matt was local to us and our venue, kind and communicative, and captured our big day in a way I didn't think was possible. We requested that he capture drone footage of our venue, and the resulting video was spectacular. When life finally allowed for us to view our wedding footage, we noticed that the ceremony had a glitch in the video. We promptly reached out to Matt, who then sent us a replacement copy of our ceremony DVD, as well as provided us with a digital copy. His kindness and availability to do this for us 2 years after our ceremony is unforgettable. I will always be thankful that we chose Matt and Secret Fire Media to capture our special day :)

We hired Secret Fire Media for a elopement wedding this winter in the Catskills. W e originally weren't thinking of hiring a videographer for our wedding, but so glad we did! Everything looked amazing!

We had Matt for photography and film for our wedding at the Poughkeepsie grand and he was great at capturing all the details and small moments that made our day so special! When we received our photos it looked straight out of a fairytale! Couldn't have asked for anyone better to capture those moments!

It has been a little over a year and a half since my June 2018 wedding, and I feel after recently reviewing my footage and photos again that I should share my experience. One positive I will say is that this vendor was affordable, which is why we chose them. However, my experience with the vendor and some quality issues with the media products compel me to recommend going with a different vendor for photo/video, even if it means spending a bit more money. After booking photography and videography with SFM, the owner became difficult to get in contact with. I was planning my wedding from afar so my opportunities to meet with him were limited. After missing one opportunity because he never returned phone calls or emails, I threatened to hire a different vendor and he suddenly got back to me. We met the second time I was in town and discussed plans. All seemed well until about a week before my wedding: I wrote and called to check in with him, but no response right away. This made me very nervous. Much like many of the other reviewers, he emailed me 3 days before the wedding to say he had a family emergency and that he'd be sending a second shooter. Obviously this was nerve-wracking but I can't say after the communication issues I was surprised. The shooter and videographer showed up on time and were generally non-invasive which I appreciated. The photos came in about two months which wasn't too bad, but my main issue was with the video. I noticed SFM was posting video highlights in August on their social media of weddings that took place after mine (programs with July dates were showing up in their posts) so I emailed to ask about my video, I believe more than once. He said the video wouldn't be ready until OCTOBER, which was two months away. This really bothered me given that later weddings were blatantly posted on social media two months before I'd see mine for no reason. When I got the pictures, most of the photos were great, though she only got one shot of each family photo and some had blinking family members and that sort of thing which seems careless - I'm sure this would REALLY bother some people. That being said, the majority of the special moments were captured and that is what I cared about the most. The video is a slightly different story - it clearly matters if the person who is editing it was there, because he just made a supercut of the basic moments without including footage of more unique moments that were kind of a big deal (ex: my parents cut the second piece of cake because they had been married longest out of everyone there - photos, but no video) which I really wish I had footage of. Furthermore, the footage was advertised as being in 4K and it is not, it's 1080p, and the raw footage we were expecting to get based on the ads was nowhere to be found in the DVDs he sent. I didn't bother asking for the raw 4k footage that was advertised on the website because working with this company was so frustrating that I just wanted to be done with it, and I knew they weren't going to have it anyway since the operation is obviously so shady. I'm giving 2 stars since it was affordable and SFM at least made sure someone showed up and I got products from the day, but the overall experience was so unfortunate. It is definitely worth the extra $200-$1000 to spring for a company with a bit more professional integrity so that you don't deal with even more stress on what is probably the most stressful day of your life as it is.

We were very disappointed with Secret Fire Media. Once we booked our wedding for videography with Matthew, the communication went downhill. It was very hard to get a hold of him, and he would take very, very long to answer. TWO DAYS before the wedding, he EMAILED us and told us he was unable to work our wedding, and sent someone we have never met before. We were of course upset that the person we sat down and discussed our wedding plans with a year and a half before our big day was not going to be there. Thankfully, his colleague did a wonderful job, but Matthew was the one to edit our video and send the footage to us. Matthew sent us our footage way later than the date on the contract, and when we would ask him the status on our videos, we would get no answer. Finally, he uploaded some videos for us to view on the Dropbox, and our cd arrived shortly after in the mail. After viewing the videos he had sent us, we started to realize there was A LOT of footage missing from our special day. Raw moments that were important to us. He finally sent them over to us, very sporadically.. not all at once. We noticed in the “highlight” video he created, there were some shots from the drone that we paid extra to have. As we were watching, we noticed it did not look like our wedding day. The trees were very green, and it was a cloudy day. Our wedding day was a sunny, fall day. I sent Matthew a few emails asking him if he could just send us our footage of the drone so we can view the rest. They got a lot of cool shots, such as the drone zooming in on us and zooming out and going back up into the air to get the whole venue on that beautiful day. He replied back to us the quickest he ever has saying that our drone footage was “corrupted” and that he would refund us. So, instead of being up front about losing our footage in the first place he added someone else’s wedding day videos into our highlight video to make us believe that was our drone footage, when in fact it was all lost. We were completely devastated with this whole process, and I was really not expecting to have to write this review at all, but I would like to let other people know while they plan their wedding.

I had the pleasure of having Matt and Patty photograph my wedding 8/23/19, and I don’t have a single complaint. Literally he made everything so easy for us and was completely professional in all aspects. My now husband and I are pleased and my entire family could not say enough how phenomenal and excellent they both were! THANK YOU for making our day perfect! From the sneak peek/teasers, I’m on the edge of my seat excited to see the rest!

Matthew had a family emergency at last minute the day before our wedding. Rightfully so, we were freaking out! He's resolution was to send his associate, Jeff. Jeff was amazing!! He was out of everyone's way; you hardly knew he was there. He was extremely down to earth, went with the flow, and dealt with many bumps that occurred during the day, calmly and professionally. Matthew did right by us and we would highly recommend him and his team to anyone looking for photography/videography services!!

Matt was our videographer for our wedding and he did an amazing job. He was so good with answering all our questions leading up to the day and so professional through the entire processes. Matt sent all of our videos to us before the promised date and the end result was AMAZING. He really has a good eye for what will look good. One thing I will say is that most of the footage Matt got was right up in the action, but I don't even remember him taking those shots! This to me was the most impressive part of Matt's talent. He was really able to capture everything organically, rather than trying to direct and dictate the shot.

I cannot recommend Secret Fire Media enough! From our first conversation, my husband and I felt confident that Matthew and his team would be perfect for our big day and we were not disappointed! Matthew and his assistant even braved freezing temperatures to take our engagement photos! Matthew was always communicative and open to listening to any requests we had. On our wedding day, he and his team were PHENOMENAL! They were incredibly professional, not invasive or in anyone’s faces, and took GORGEOUS photos and video! Our wedding party and guests were very impressed and so were we. Definitely use Secret Fire Media for your event!!

Matt was great to work with! I didn't really know what i wanted, he gave us great ideas and beautiful photos. I didn't even notice him or his assistant Fatima at the reception, they got amazing shots but didn't get in the way of anyone. Would definitely recommend!

He clearly has integrity and business sense, and from someone who was robbed by their wedding photographer, I would recommend putting a lot of weight on trust when choosing your photographer. We hired Secret Fire Media to photograph my daughters wedding on June 1st 2018 and we were all extremely happy and pleased. Matt and Fatima were both fantastic! They captured every moment without getting in everyone’s face and were both very professional. Matt had some great ideas for pictures about which we were very appreciative as my daughter was not exactly sure what she wanted.
