We eloped to New Orleans and asked Cameron Dumas to be our officiant. He met with us ahead of time. He was always available to answer questions or help us with the ceremony wording any time we wanted. He also helped us navigate getting the license. He dressed impeccably and had cool shoes. Cameron made our day special and we're very blessed he married us.

Allen from Sensational Ceremonies was truly top notch. Turns out, I knew him through mutual friends so this was definitely a bonus to making me feel comfortable with him as we spoke before the big day. He made sure to call me and go over details, made sure he knew exactly what we wanted said, and was so professional the day of. He made sure to speak to everyone involved and also came up and introduced himself to family and friends before the ceremony. He checked off all the boxes and made sure he thought of everything in advance and as someone who is type A, I really appreciated this!!! I really can't say enough good things about Allen. Without him, the day wouldn't have been as absolutely perfect as it was :)

We hired Rev. Steve to be our officiant, and it was one of the very best decisions that we made. He was nothing short of AMAZING. He was extremely informative, helpful, kind, clear, knowledgeable, and creative (in the best way!). He helped us craft the perfect ceremony from scratch. He gave us a lot of ideas and templates, and we used them to assemble our ideal ceremony, and then he put it all together to make it flow perfectly! He had the exact right tone of sincerity with sprinkles of humor (which we had told him we were looking for), and he helped us deliver a truly special and unique ceremony. My husband is Jewish and I am Christian, and we wanted use some pieces of both religions, and Rev. Steve was totally on board with that and was so helpful in making that a reality! We also hired him for premarital counseling, and I can't recommend that enough. He gave us a lot of materials to choose from, and we selected the topics that we most wanted to focus on. We had several sessions with him over FaceTime, and they were all amazing! He has the absolute best attitude and outlook on life, and he helped us prepare for the enormous commitment that is marriage. We relied on him for a lot, and he absolutely delivered. He was very prompt for everything from the counseling sessions, to the ceremony rehearsal, and the wedding. He is an absolute professional with a big heart, and there is absolutely no one we would have rather marry us. Another thing that we liked was how experienced he is. He has seen it all, and experienced everything when it comes to wedding ceremonies, so we knew we were in good hands. He kept it to the timeline we planned for, and everything went absolutely perfectly. I cannot recommend him enough. You will never, ever regret hiring Reverend Steve!!!

My husband and I loved having Rev. Steve as our officiant for our elopement ceremony in the Botanical Gardens. He's super personable, prepared, and has everything you need for a memorable ceremony. He provides ~15 pages of options to customize your ceremony (I promise it isn't overwhelming at all, very organized) from Catholic touches, to Jewish touches, different blessing ceremonies, and special touches you can add - everything was there. He even told us how to get our marriage license and provided location suggestions for photography. I also appreciated that he wanted to get to know us as a couple BEFORE we booked him to ensure it was a good fit on both sides. He's honestly awesome and puts you at ease that everything is covered. If you are considering him as your officiant, this is your sign to go ahead and book!

My now husband and I are from San Diego but have always had a special place in our hearts for New Orleans. When he finally proposed to me we both agreed that the only place we wanted to get married was New Orleans. After a year of planning and multiple trips down to New Orleans our special day finally arrived and it was in a word: Perfect. Rev. Steve was a huge part of making our day so special. Prior to our wedding, he really took the time to get to know us so that his words reflected us as a couple during our ceremony. Before and after the wedding Steve was always looking out for us and there if we had any questions. Rev. Todd Capielano is the coolest, kindest Rev. out there! He officiated our wedding and facilitated our premarital counseling sessions. So helpful and a great ceremony! Rev. Steve Trahan was our officiant and one of the first vendors we hired. He was very knowledgeable and gave us advice on other planning items we were debating that helped a lot! Rev. Steve Trahan was our officiant in New Orleans, and we couldn't be happier with that decision! He was super flexible, considering we changed our date multiple times! I remember our first phone call with him... He is incredibly easy to talk to, is a wealth of knowledge, and gives you all the tools you need to pull together a perfect ceremony! I planned our entire wedding myself and would consider myself "on top" of things, but Reverend Steve would beat me to the punch every time! I literally never had to reach out to him about deadlines, etc - he was ON IT!! The day of the wedding, he did such a wonderful job, and he made filing the marriage license such a breeze! Todd Capielano recently officiated my wedding as well as led our premarital counseling meetings and I would recommend him to everyone! From the beginning of our journey he would reach out in such timely manners and would always be very excited to catch up with us. Our original date was set for sept 2021 however hurricane Ida cancelled those plans. Even though his house had been severely impacted by the storm, he still reached out to my husband and me to check in on our wedding plans which I was completely shocked by but totally appreciated. Todd told us to let him know when we wanted to try again. My husband and I had no idea what we wanted our new plan to be until mid December 2021. We emailed Todd very quickly and asked if he would be available on Dec 26th even though it was the day after Christmas. He called us immediately and offered his services and began asking if he could help pull anything else together since it was such a quick turnaround time. there are a million more reasons why I recommend this guy but I cannot fit into one review. Just please know Todd cares and wants everyone’s wedding day to be perfect no matter what happens and he 100% helped save our big day!!!

My husband and I were fortunate to find Sensational Ceremonies on The Knot, and we were especially impressed by our officiant, Reverend Todd. Reverend Todd was absolutely perfect for our ceremony, from the planning through the execution - he kept us on a timeline from the very start of the process to the finish to make sure we had all the details perfect. He was exceptionally professional, while also being well organized, friendly, patient, timely, and personable. Reverend Todd ensured that out ceremony ran smoothly, and without him I'm sure it wouldn't have gone as well. My husband and I were looking for an officiant that could blend our shared beliefs and create a meaningful ceremony for our wedding on June 12, 2021. A family friend used Sensational Ceremonies and recommended them. After speaking to Reverend Todd Capielano we felt he could create the ceremony we desired. Working with Todd was very easy: he was responsive, sent us all the information we needed and incorporated all the components we really wanted. For the rehearsal, he made my husband and I as well as the readers, our parents, best man and maid of honor feel comfortable with their role in the ceremony. And the day of it all went off without hitch, other than the fact I blanked when saying my vows. Can't blame Todd for that! He was well spoken and relaxed in front of our family and friends which was around 180 people. We received compliments on Todd's officiating and the ceremony generally. He also, filed our marriage license for us, and we received it the week following our honeymoon. So, if you're looking for an officiant in the Great New Orleans area, I highly recommend Reverend Todd Capielano!

Steve Trahan. From our initial meeting, to our rehearsal, and then to the actual wedding day, Rev. Steve Trahan was an extreme wealth of knowledge, guiding us through the entire process. With the wedding ceremony kit provided, couples have multiple options to choose from to and incorporate into their ceremony. Rev. Steve took all of our wishes and pulled them into a perfect ceremony that paid tribute to my late father, acknowledged and solidified the bond between me and stepson, and most importantly highlighted the loved between me and my husband. The ceremony felt very personal and overall perfect! Rev. Steve is extremely professional and knowledgeable, beyond just the ceremony. He was able to provide guidance and suggestions for the entire day given his experience. Overall, we were extremely impressed by Rev. Steve. The entire day was perfect, and he was a large part of helping everything come together!

The best experience with Rev. Todd in New Orleans! My biggest worry when planning a destination wedding was being married by a "stranger." I searched officiants in the News Orleans area and continued to see reviews for a Rev. Todd with Sensational Ceremonies. I knew he was the man to marry us from the first communication. Rev. Todd is laid back, compassionate and professional. We decided to take his premarital course and over the 6 months leading up to our wedding we got to know Rev. Todd even more. Admittedly, we were a bit nervous to have someone we didn't know serve as our officiant. However, with a personable approach and genuine care for our day, Rev. Trahan put all of our concerns to rest. We had Rev. Steve as our officiant for our wedding and he was AMAZING. From start to finish he was the glue to help keep everything together! Starting with the choosing of the ceremony and me mixing and matching different things I wanted to include, he brought it all together so nicely! This review is over due and I have let the time pass for a review go on for far too long. I apologize Rev. Steve, but better late than never. My wife and I had the honor and pleasure of asking Rev. Steve to be the person who married us. I cannot begin to tell you or review how professional this man was and how awesome he was. See, my wife and I got married in a hurricane so tension where a flaring but Rev. Steve was the angel in the light that held it all together. The manager/owner of the place we got married at and had the reception at was not the nicest person nor the most organized. She appeared to be otherwise when the interview was in process of picking a place. She dictated to us instead of asking us and Rev. Steve came in light a knight in shinning armor and corrected her actions. Rev. Steve is an amazing person and one I would recommend whole heartedly. If you are in the New Orleans area, please pick Rev. Steve. He will not disappoint you and will exceed you expectations. His a sincere and genuine person. In the chaos of our wedding, he was the only constant and beckon of light. I can never give enough thanks to the man in which he deserved. Thank you again Rev. Steve.

Reverend Todd served as the officiant for our destination wedding, and we could not have been happier with the ceremony and services that we received! Reverend Todd was communicative from the very beginning (which was especially important to us as a destination couple), and allowed us to create a ceremony that was true to who we are as a couple. Beyond that, Reverend Todd was a source of comfort as we worked through the ever-changing pandemic guidelines and cancellations that came along the way. He was flexible, understanding, and reminded us that the day was about more than a location or perfect plan. Our small group of family and friends raved about Revered Todd! From how approachable and professional he was upon their first meeting, to how personalized the ceremony was, our family and friends were floored by it all. They all said it felt like he was a close family friend, which is exactly what we had hoped for. Truly, our wedding day would not have been half as memorable without Reverend Todd. It is without hesitation that we would recommend him to anyone looking for a truly memorable wedding ceremony from one of the best!

This is a tough review to write without crying. Rev. Todd Capielano was an absolute joy and honor to partner with for my wedding. Looking back, all of the fabulous reviews for Rev. Todd I read were spot on. From our very first phone call to the night of my ceremony, what a smooth, easy and beautiful process. Rev. Todd went above and beyond to personalize and make our ceremony so special. I tear up thinking of how touching he made a tough moment for me- honoring my Father who had passed away five years before my wedding. I was crushed to not have my Dad there to walk me down the aisle and Rev. Todd made beautiful recommendations for ways I could honor him. My Mom was so touched by how special of a moment the words Rev. Todd shared about my Dad and the placing of a single rose in a reserved chair with his picture on it. The ceremony was so nice and flawless. My guests wondered how long I had known Rev. Todd because he made it feel like my husband and I were old family friends. Rev. Steve was phenomenal! Seven months before our wedding, I contacted Rev. Steve. Both my husband (fiance at the time) and I spent over an hour talking to Rev. Steve on the phone. He was really nice, informative, and was easy to talk to. The conversation went so well, we booked him that night. The next day, he sent us a 20+ page document. It outlined all of the procedures for getting a marriage licenses and provided options for the content of the ceremony. We loved having the ability to craft the ceremony to our own style. At the rehearsal, Rev. Steve was well-prepared and did an excelled job with prepping us and our bridal party for the big day. The ceremony went flawlessly and we received so many compliments on the ceremony. We can't imagine having been married by anyone but Rev. Steve.

We were very pleased with Sensational Ceremonies and in particular our officiant, Rev. Steve. In phone calls and email correspondence leading up to our wedding, he was always friendly, helpful, and informative. Right before our ceremony started, things got a little hectic because we fell behind on the schedule by about 30 minutes. We all walked in to the staging room getting ready to begin the ceremony and Rev. Todd was there waiting on us. He immediately became this calming presence. He spoke to us with confidence and kindness and we felt like we were in good hands as soon as we started talking to him to sign our marriage license. Then the ceremony started. Once we were at the alter, Rev. Todd commanded attention. His confidence from earlier continued and I felt calm, relaxed, and in control the entire time we were with him. He kept everyone's attention throughout the entire ceremony. He encouraged my fiancé and myself anytime we felt emotion was taking over. He allowed us to take our time. He allowed improvisation and I never felt the need to have everything perfectly memorized. As soon as he started talking, I knew he was the perfect choice for our wedding day. He was the perfect leader for our ceremony and we will always have a very special place in our hearts. He is warm. He is inviting. He is confident. We had him also do our rehearsal and he was hands on and made everyone feel at ease. I was able to relax on my wedding day knowing that the wedding would be everything that we wanted it to be. We were able to pull and choose what we wanted from his suggestions for a totally unique ceremony. We highly recommend Rev. Steve.

Rev Steve not only officiated our special day in New Orleans, he helped us ensure we had the right paperwork and were fully organised beforehand. Coming in from overseas we were a little unsure about requirements and contacted a few officiants. Steve's prompt, helpful and proactive replies made us decide to immediately stay with him and we are so glad we did! He provided us with a selection of ceremonies to choose from and adapted them to our personal preferences too. And he was even able to help us with photography recommendations! He's a lovely man, and he gave us such a beautiful ceremony in front of the Cathedral by Jackson Square. 10/10 we would recommend Steve and Sensational. I need more than 5 stars for them!

Rev Todd Todd Capielano was awesome! He tailored our ceremony to make it as unique as us. We included a tying the knot ceremony but forgot to learn how to actually tie a fisherman's knot. About 2 minutes before the ceremony, he showed us a shortcut that made us look like knot tying experts! He was super helpful and was extremely responsive. I definitely recommend hiring Todd at Sensational Ceremonies!

We had Reverend Steve as our officiant and we couldn’t have been any happier with choosing him. From day one he was nothing short of warm, professional and attentive to our needs. My now husband and I aren’t very good at writing (or being mushy for that matter) so we did not plan to write our own vows. Reverend Steve had a huge selection of beautiful, prewritten vows to choose from which was more than helpful. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we could not be more thankful for him!

Rev. Todd was our officiant for our wedding and he did an amazing job. Before the wedding, he was always kind, polite, and he always responded to our concerns and questions very quickly by e-mail or phone. He even agreed to do a mini-rehearsal over the phone which was extremely helpful. The day of the wedding, he was polite to our family; he even introduced himself to our parents when we were busy getting ready for the big day. The ceremony was beautiful and he delivered it perfectly. He was professional yet spoke with vigor (not mono-toned like many other officiants). We received many compliments for our ceremony and it's all because of Rev. Todd. After the ceremony, he was kind and patient to sign the wedding license until we were finished with our last few photos. We are extremely happy with how our ceremony turned out. Thank you Rev.
