I had a phenomenal experience at Serendipity. Not only is the space absolutely gorgeous, but the staff made me feel so comfortable and special. I found the perfect dress for my wedding in Italy while I was in the shop, but even if I hadn't, trying on dresses at Serendipity would have been one of the highlights of my wedding planning experience no matter what.

I would not recommend using this company if someone in your wedding party is pregnant. They will not work with you and the associates and owner lie to you to make things convenient for themselves. Janice and her associates are not very helpful or trustworthy and need to improve their customer service.

The entire team I worked with was so kind and professional when I went to try on dresses. They were meticulous in their measurements when I was ready to order to ensure my dress would fit as perfectly as possible. I would happily recommend Serendipity!

From the moment I walked into your shop, I felt welcomed and at ease!! My assistant, Jess, was the BEST!!! She was kind, patient, and very helpful. She didn’t rush me at all!!! I love that you had a lot of variety in dresses!

First I would like to say your bridal salon is absolutely beautiful and smells amazing. Each consultant was very pleasant and greets clients with a smile. This is such a nice touch and expresses a good environment. My consultant Jess was the BEST!!! Very knowledgeable, kind, honest and made me feel calm during this much so stressful decision. She listens and provide great insight. I most definitely will be sharing my experience here with others. I he world needs to know about your gem. The personal touches and everything about your bridal salon speaks everything elegance and such a breathe of fresh air.

The store was amazing, with a variety of different style dresses. There is something for everyone at serendipity, if you don’t find a dress there then you have a problem. I went into the store looking for an A-line style dress and I walked away with a form fitting dress. The staff was extremely helpful and made me feel that they were there to help in anyway and they had a lot of knowledge of the dresses and styles.

Assistance was awesome and so was dress selections.

This was the bridal experience I was hoping and praying for going into dress shopping! The shop was not only welcoming but every one of the women working there were helpful, encouraging and extremely kind! The whole appointment from the beginning was fun for my entire bridal party that joined me. Jessica helped bring my vision to life. She kept my hopes up when a dress wasn’t fitting right or not what I was looking for, until I found the dress that brought me to tears! We even celebrated with a champagne toast! I couldn’t have imagined a better experience!

My mom and I had such a lovely time at Serendipity Bridal! All of the girls were so sweet and helpful. You could also tell there was some great team work going on. Janice came over and helped bring my gown vision to life! I also appreciated how everyone took their time taking my measurements and explaining the alteration process. I could not have asked for a better wedding gown shopping experience!

This has been the best bridal shop I have been to by far! Jess was incredibly patient and helpful! We stayed for 3 hours and past closing and she did not rush us once. They shop has BEAUTIFUL dresses, more than I could wrap my head around. Jess was so helpful in identifying dresses to try on and fitting me in them. She was so sweet and all of her input was very knowledgeable and encouraging. She would take me aside to hear my opinion and help me think it through. She kept asking if I found the experience useful, and truly read my reactions to help pick out dresses to try on. She was not satisfied until my face lit up for a dress. Then she was not pushy to make the sale and told me to take my time to decide. I honestly would not change anything about the experience and the shop was well worth the hour drive from my house (each way)! I’m so grateful and truly loved my experience! I look forward to the alteration process with this shop! Their shop also has event planning and invitation services as well as mother of the bride and bridesmaid dress selections!

We began working with Janice over 2.5 years ago with the original wedding planned for July 2020. My goddaughter found a beautiful gown at Serendipity perfect for this summer wedding and complimented the venue-a historic B&B in Fredericksburg then Covid hit and the wedding was postponed until this past weekend. Janice and her team were very helpful and we decided to employee her wedding event planning as well. We had 3 months to plan a whole new wedding-now in the winter at another venue (unfortunately our original venue did not survive). While it wasn't the setting as the first choice, Janice did a beautiful job changing this warehouse space into an elegant affair. The attention to detail was amazing from flowers to tablecloths, lighting and fun attributes such as a fog machine and snow making to the light sticks on the dance floor made it a memorable event. My youngest daughter is now engaged and we will use her and her team again.

Can’t say enough about Serendipity! Their staff was really nice and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Then they helped my mom and grandmother find dresses. When my dress came in, they call me immediately and the fit was perfect! They even offer dress storage for no charge, so I don’t have to worry about my dress getting damaged or someone seeing it before the wedding. I’m so glad I chose Serendipity for my dress, and I’d recommend them 10x over to anyone getting married.

My experience was MORE than I could have ever imagined. I walked in with no appointment but I was treated no different and was recommended a dress I would have normally walked past. That dress became MY DRESS!!! Such an amazing feeling. Not to mention it had everything I wanted in a dress and came in below my budget!!!

Jess found my perfect dress so I could say yes! I had a specific dress in mind that didn’t end up being my favorite. Jess listened to my pros and cons and found me the perfect dress! Awesome, Awesome customer service. Everyone was polite, patient, and extremely helpful. Great inventory of dresses. Beautiful selections to choose from. The store was well organized, neat, and clean. The whole staff was great from the time I booked my appointment until the time I left the store. The best customer service I've every had. I can' wait to work with Ally again. She was fantastic.

I went wedding dress shopping here with my sister (the bride) a bit ago and had the worst experience. She tried on a few dresses and she liked one but she wanted some time to think. So we told them we were going to lunch across the street. Then the owner got extremely rude and told us she didn't think we were going to come back. We assured her the bride just needed a minute and then the owner insinuated my sister was PREGNANT because her wedding was on a tight timeline. Totally uncalled for! Needless to say, we DID NOT come back. Now I am engaged, looking for a dress, and will never step foot back in this store.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Serendipity was the 3rd bridal store I visited in hopes of finding my dress. Before I scheduled my appointment there, I already had a dress in mind but was looking for a better price on it. I did end up finding another boutique that had the dress for slightly cheaper than Serendipity did, BUT the customer service I received over the phone with Serendipity when initially calling about their inventory was superb so I HAD to book with them instead. First off, their building is absolutely gorgeous. It's tastefully decorated, clean, well kept, very organized. and spacious. Second, it's a one-stop shop! They offer so many services to get your wedding planning done. Now, onto my actual appointment. I had the wonderful opportunity of working with Jessica. She knew I had come looking for a specific dress so she pulled that off the rack and asked if I wanted to try on any others, whether they were of similar style or not. Since we had driven an hour and a half to get there, and I will probably never have a reason to go wedding dress shopping again, I said why not. Let me just say that I am SO glad and grateful I did because Jessica found an even more perfect dress than the one I originally wanted. After I said yes to the dress, she let me know that the dress came in a few color options. The dress I had tried on and fallen in love with had the champagne underlay but I was curious to see what it would look like with an ivory underlay. Without hesitation, Jessica pulled an ivory skirt and clipped it under the tulle of my dress - this made making a decision so easy. We continued on to get measurements, she explained what the rest of the order process would be like, and offered a champagne congratulations if we wanted it (we had to decline because I was in a rush to get back home but loved this touch). Jessica was so much fun to work with. She was thorough, she was opinionated enough without being pushy or swaying me in any direction, she was extremely kind, and had so much enthusiasm. It was definitely worth the trip to Serendipity and I would highly recommend any bride work with their team, especially Jessica, if they have the chance.

The first time I set foot in this bridal shop was for someone else’s wedding. I said I would be back for mine for several reasons. The atmosphere in this shop is amazing; from the smiling faces when you walk in, to the various selections of gowns. Jess was the young lady that assisted me and she tried her very best to make sure I found THEE dress, and I did! All of the women in this shop were welcoming and helpful.

We had such a special and fun experience at Serendipity Bridal & Events. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped into the store. Jessica was so kind and patient while I was trying on many wedding dresses. She really wanted to ensure I loved every detail about the dress. I would not recommend serendipity. Want a special moment for your wedding experience DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! First of all......My mom bought a new $600 dress from this company. Took it to her sentries and came to find out it was a used dress that had cake and wine 🍷 all over it. My poor mother was in tears!! UNACCEPTABLE!! Two: - my wedding dress. Never get alterations here. You will not get your dress till the day of your wedding. Remind you I bought my wedding dress one year before my wedding. I was well prepared . They had my dress for 8 months!!! Was in there several times and still they refused to listen on what I wanted my dress to look like.(all I wanted was alterations and even the alterations lady from serendipity said “easy after I got extremely upset requesting for the sentries)I paid $600 for them to do what I requested but Janice refused to do it!! Said it would be to hard!! They finally finished my alterations the day before my wedding. My wedding dress experience was not fun. They stressed me out even more having me crying in front of my friends and mom. UNACCEPTABLE!! -they also ordered wrong color veil. Also got that day of wedding. So yes. Beautiful wedding dresses. But just be careful with this company!!

If you want to feel like a queen when searching for the perfect wedding gown, then Serendipity Bridal is the place for you. I had an one-of-a-kind experience from my first try on to last dress fitting at this chic boutique. The customer service was profound, and my family became fond of the store owner, Janice, and her kind family.   I tried a few gown stores before my first session with Janice, and I can honestly say nothing compared to the service I was given at Serendipity. When I first arrived, I had a sit-down consultation with one of the members of the boutique. My mother and I were served with water and treats for our convenience. I was then asked what style I envisioned for my gown and was quickly shown to their showroom of dresses. I was then escorted to the try on area which was set up with a robe and a board that read “It’s Your Day! Shannan”. These details of personalized services made this gown try on experience distinctive than the others. Serendipity’s glamour and charm gave me a sense of bridal bliss before trying on a gown. I said “Yes” to the dress on the second gown I tried on and up until that moment, I never felt more like a bride.   I was very gratified with my service that I reached out to Serendipity in regard to a fitting for my husband and his groomsmen for tuxes. My husband has very particular taste and could not find the tux jacket that matched his criteria at other suite specialty shops. Janice was able to find a tux that he preferred and an additional tux jacket for the rehearsal dinner within minutes of me bringing the search to her team. Shortly after finding his tux, the entire groomsmen party, including my own father was fitted for their suits. One groomsman was out of state during the fitting. To accommodate him, Janice was able to take his measurements over the phone. The tux was then shipped to his location for his convenience.   Our wedding date was September 6th, 2020, although our wedding was perfect, we did have the effects of the pandemic whilst planning for our big day. One thing we did not have to worry about was our final fittings leading up to our wedding. Janice and her team were in contact with myself and my husband throughout the shutdown. We received updates notifying me of my gown arrival, which I then scheduled a fitting appointment for. Once the shop was open from the quarantine my mother and I were greeted by a Serendipity Representative to do a temperature screening. Upon our entry into the boutique, we were then met with soap and a warm hand towel to sanitize. This was a much better alternative to antibacterial gel for each client’s utilization. The luxury of using hand towels gave us a prestige experience while securing our comfort of sanitization.   Overall, my family could not be more content with the service we had at Serendipities Bridal. It was a pleasure to become acquainted with the wonderful staff. My husband and I are in the hopes of celebrating our 10-year anniversary with another ceremony. I know where I will look first for my gown. I look forward to working with this elegant and refined bridal boutique in the future.

This was my first and last stop! All of the bridal consultants were pleasant and very helpful. As a plus sized bride with psoriasis, I thought this would be a rough process but everyone made me feel comfortable in the skin I'm in! Serendipity is a gorgeous bridal store with lots of variety to choose from. It made me feel so special as a bride-to-be and it made my engagement and upcoming wedding feel much more real when I found the dress of my dreams. The staff is wonderful, personable, and are genuinely happy and excited for you. They don’t try to push a dress on you and are understanding of your price range and accommodate with you as much as they can. Highly recommend this lovely store to anyone!

The staff is absolutely wonderful. they even personalized my fitting room for me, had a robe for me to wear, water ready with cupcakes, and a water wash cloth to rinse hands since we were buying a dress during the Covid pandemic. The dresses are extremely beautiful and there's a wide variety to choose from, as well as accessories. The seamstress was great too, I really enjoy my time there. I said yes to a dress on 6/1/2020!!! Thank you to Janice, Jessica, and Taylor! Oh and the location is in LaPlata now, super convenient and stunning interior decor!

Janice and Jessica sent me beautiful gowns to view during Covid-19 and when I was finally able to visit the shop in person I was thrilled that one of gowns was even more gorgeous when I tried it on! I loved everything about my visit to Serendipity! The staff was amazing. They know about all of the dresses they have in stock as well as the designers that they carry. I was able to try on pretty much any dress I wanted without ever feeling the pressure to have to buy something that day. We were shown ideas and examples of linen suits for my husband and ideal dresses for our daughters to wear (We are doing a 10 year Vow Renewal at Puerto Rico in 2021.) The whole experience was absolutely wonderful! I high recommend Serendipity Bridal and Events to anyone looking for their dream dress, or special events.

Taylor was amazing!! Such a total sweetheart and always willing to help! The owners are also amazing and always there to loan a helping hand or give advice!! I had a wedding dress fiasco about 6 weeks before our wedding and needed a new dress! The ladies at Serendipity fit me in their schedule, helped me find the perfect dress, had it delivered two weeks later and altered it perfectly in time for my wedding day. I cannot say enough about the service I was given at Serendipity and how these ladies treated every time I came into their shop like it was my wedding day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I cannot say enough good things about Serendipity! They made my wedding dress shopping experience absolutely perfect. Ultimately, I only ended up trying on one dress (Dorothy, my consultant, really hit the nail on the head and found the perfect dress for me on the first try!). And, as soon as I said yes to the dress, she found the perfect veil, hair piece, and earrings to complete my look - she really brought my vision to life. I also really appreciate how Serendipity is a one stop shop - they have everything you could possibly need including top notch seamstresses. My dress was tailored perfectly and with plenty of time to spare - not once was I worried or stressed that my dress wouldn't be ready in time. Plus, the shop is gorgeous, and the staff are so helpful and professional. They really personalize your dress shopping experience and make you feel like you're part of the Serendipity family. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you're looking for your wedding dress, this is the place to go!

My experience yesterday at Serendipity Bridal and Events in La Plata, MD. was absolutely wonderful!! The staff was very welcoming and friendly when we arrived. The store has a very large variety of beautiful wedding dresses. Jessica was wonderful to work with I told her what I was looking for and liked and she did an amazing job with helping me and suggesting different dresses and styles. I love my wedding dress it is so beautiful!! I am so happy I went to Serendipity Bridal and Events to find my wedding dress.

I had a wonderful experience at Serendipity. Everyone made us feel welcome and like they had known myself and my family our entire life. Janice and Jessica were very tentative to calls and emails and provided honest and detailed help.

Janice and her team were such a pleasure to work with. I finally found THE dress after trying 2 other bridal shops prior to visiting Serendipity! I am so glad I came to Serendipity, they're all so nice and friendly and really listen to your likes and dislikes while trying on dresses. The appointments are 2 hours long which gives you an ample amount of time to try on dresses. Most places only allow you an hour which feels rushed. I was unaware of all the services Serendipity provides, they have suites you can rent or buy, mother of the bride dresses, bridesmaid dresses and they even can help you make your save the dates or invitations. They also have a room upstairs which is gorgeous that you can rent for a bridal shower, birthday parties, etc.. I highly suggest visiting Serendipity for all of your wedding needs!

Prior to going to Serendipity, I visited countless bridal gown shops in Northern Virginia and Washington DC. I believe I tried on at least 40-50 gowns before deciding to travel to La Plata, MD (where I grew up but no longer live) to see what they had to offer. I wish, in hindsight, I just went to Serendipity in the first place. I was unable to find a dress I even remotely liked prior to Serendipity, but I was able to easily have three top contenders for gowns on my first visit there (their selection is incredible!). When I expressed my love for a dress I found online but was unable to find in person to try on (after calling more than 15 shops), Janice went well out of her way to help me track it down and had it shipped to the store for a small charge.. and of course, it was the dress I fell in love with and purchased immediately. I am exceptionally thankful to Janice and Jessica for helping ensure I walked down the aisle in a gown I loved. Debbie, the seamstress that completed my alterations, was very professional and skilled. She was able to create a custom bustle to showcase the lace on my hem very beautifully.

I really enjoyed my time at Serendipity Bridal this afternoon! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I showed Jessica a few pictures of what I was looking for and she immediately knew what to go look for. I tried on several dresses, but ultimately fell IN LOVE with the very first dress I tried on. I went to a few different bridal shops and tried on dresses, but no experience was as great as my experience at Serendipity. I am officially so excited for my special day now that I have my perfect dress!

I had an amazing experience today. They had so many dresses to choose from and the staff was so helpful. The dress that I selected had some sizing issues with my body type but Janice and Dorothy were able to make it work. I was so impressed!

Serendipity was the first and only place I went to because after my first visit, I didn’t feel like I’ll need to go anywhere else. When picking dresses, I felt like Jessica was reading my mind! She picked out styles that I loved! I tried on probably 8 dresses, and all of them were so beautiful and complimented my figure. I ended up finding my perfect dress that day, along with the most beautiful veil that was perfect for me! From the little personalized sign in my dressing room, to our champagne toast at the end of the appointment- Serendipity was an amazing experience, and I’m so thankful they made it so special!
