My husband and I were working with another planner prior to Korina , however we met through the referral of my photographer and it was the best decision for our wedding . From the initial phone conversation I knew I wanted to work with her because she was excited to make our vision her vision. Korina is based in the San Diego area but that did not stop her commitment to traveling to Hollywood for our wedding. She was contracted as a “day of coordinator”, but in all honesty her commitment and professionalism far exceeded one day. She was responsive to texts, phone calls, in person walks throughs, and dress rehearsals. We were truly grateful to provide all the details and have her tie it together with a bow. Truly, I couldn’t imagine our wedding day without her and her staff by our side. Thank you again Korina, I now have the wedding blues and miss planning everyday with you !

Where do I even start?! Korina and her team are truly the best of the best - not just at what they do, but in who they are! I went in to wedding planning thinking I could do it all on my own and I wouldn’t need a coordinator and as the date got closer - I realized I definitely needed the help! Korina truly took all of the stress away from me during the months leading up to my wedding and on the day of! She is so organized, kind and truly goes above and beyond. She made our day so special and I know it wouldn’t have been as seamless without her! I created a lot of my own decor - which comes with a lot of set up and break down. She and her team did EVERYTHING and made it look so much more beautiful than I could have even imagined. She truly has a gift for what she does and I cannot recommend her more highly. My only regret for my whole wedding was not hiring her sooner!!

Korina redefined what it means to go above and beyond. I honestly want to cry writing this. She drove 35 minutes to look at table settings with me, she responded to all of my texts and emails quickly (even while on vacation), coordinated with all of our vendors like a boss, and this was all before our wedding day. On our wedding day, she moved dozens of bins from a hotel room into the venue, made multiple trips to the grocery store, kept everyone on schedule despite having arguably the world's biggest bridal party and family, picked up a huge in-n-out order, and did it all with a smile on her face. Plus, she helped me make everything look absolutely stunning! Everyone I know will be using her after our wedding (and you should too!)

I wish I could put into words how grateful we are for Korina and her team. From our initial design meeting, her energy just radiated. She listened, took notes, and really made sure she understood my vision for the day to be able to make it come to life. When I received my design boards, it was more than I could have hoped for and made me so excited to call the vendors she recommended and get the ball rolling on planning. Almost all of the vendors we hired came from Korina's recommendations. We told every vendor we talked to that Korina referred us and they even had such amazing things to say about her. We selected the 2 month out planning package with Korina, as well, but she still checked in on us periodically leading up to this, was more than happy to help answer questions and pointed us in the right direction when we were feeling lost. Fast forward to two months before the wedding and Korina did everything we could have hoped for. As someone who wants to be in the know and have control over things, I felt so at ease to let Korina do her thing and take the rest of the coordination into her own hands. I didn't have a single worry that she wouldn't get it done, I just knew she would. We were emailing and texting at all hours of the day, bouncing ideas off of each other and were so honest with each other about everything that was going on. I swear by the end of it, I felt like I was just talking to a really good friend. As you can imagine, our wedding day was perfect because of Korina, her team and all of the recommended vendors she provided. Jake and I are still talking about how grateful we are for Korina days later and knew our vision came to life because of her. Korina, we truly can't thank you enough. You are amazing at what you do and your presence radiated in every interaction we had. Your level of care and commitment to your work is truly unmatched and showed through everything you did for us. If you are thinking about hiring a designer or planner, hire Korina and her team. I promise you will not regret it.

If you are looking for an amazing wedding planning team - YOU FOUND THEM. Korina and her team were easily the BEST choice we made when it came to our wedding choices. They went above and beyond for us in every single way!! My husband, Kap and I got engaged 5/5/21 in San Diego where we recently settled down. The first and hardest decision to start wedding planning, was finding the right team. We searched through at least 20 different wedding planning teams. We got referred to Korina and the moment we met - we clicked. She just got our vision and was so invested in us as a couple. We got married on 5/5/23 so, we worked together very closely for two years!! We decided to go with the full planning package. And it was worth every penny. When Kap and I talk about our wedding, we say Korina was the best $$ we spent. She spent a ton of time with over over a few years and kept us on track in our planning process. Korina and her team are extremely detail oriented and layed out the planning process in an easy manner. She used a software to keep us organized and it broke down each step into a task. This was HUGE because my husband and I had crazy work hours during our planning process. So we could log in anytime to see based on how far out we were, what needed to be accomplished. We chose Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla for our venue. It was beautiful but, you have to bring in all your own vendors which felt a bit overwhelming. Luckily, Korina and her team have a great reputation so, she had an amazing list of vendors she introduced us too. So, we had a handful recommended to us so, we could easily choose which one fit our budget and our vision. She also helped us prioritize where we wanted our money to go based on what we cared about most - like photography and rental design. One of the hardest things to find in a wedding planning team, is the ‘human aspect’ — this means someone who genuinely cares about you as a couple and to help you create the wedding of your dreams. During our planning process, I lost my dad. She sent some flowers and gave me some space when I needed it the most. (Literally crying thinking about how nice this was). She was so kind. Having a wedding can sometimes mean a lot of people in your life have a lot of opinions. Kap and I wanted to have a lot of non traditional things about our wedding. We made the wedding about us and our love versus focusing on the traditional things you are ‘suppose’ to have. She made this so easy and simple and supported us in every way. She helped plan our timeline down to the MINUTE! This made it easy for us to enjoy every minute and eachother throughout the day! Last but definitely not least, Korina has an EYE for design. Outside of our love being front and center, I had a specific vision I saw for Kap and I. Korina helped us negotiate with vendors, stay within our budget, and push back on our venue to use the second floor for cocktail hour. It was hard with the timing and rentals but she MADE IT HAPPEN!!!!! Korina is the definition of a sweet and hardworking entrepreneur. The day of our wedding she was calm cool and collected. She directed her team with poise and elegance. It was amazing to see her in her element. She has a tough job but by looking at her — you would never know how much she does behind the scenes. We would HIGHLY recommend using Serene Events and Design to anyone in the SoCal area. It will easily be the best decision in your wedding planning process!!!!!!

Korina went above and beyond for our wedding. I’m very indecisive, and Korina was VERY patient with us during the planning process. She offered helpful suggestions and ideas, but was also open and prioritized the bride and groom’s wants first. Communication was always prompt. Preparing for the wedding felt like brainstorming with a friend as opposed to how intimidating planning a large event can be. During the wedding, Korina was calm and collected, which helped with our own wedding jitters. Even when we thought her duties were over, a decor item was left behind at the venue and Korina made sure it got back to us, even if it meant a drive since we aren’t local to San Diego. Our wedding was a blast and wouldn’t have been possible without Korina and her team! Thank you!

Part of me had doubts about getting a wedding coordinator, but I can tell you I do not regret having Serene Events & Design be part of our special day. We hired Korina as a full-time planner about two years before the wedding date and she went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Korina is truly talented, but maybe more importantly, she listens to what you want and is able to make it happen. She made every moment of wedding planning absolutely enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable about everything we needed to do, and she was with us every step of the way. As for the wedding day, everything was perfect and went without a hitch! We were so blessed to work with Korina during our wedding time! We live in Seattle and we were planning a destination wedding in San Diego and Korina helped us feel at ease the entire time and made us feel like we have been friends for years. From venue tours through FaceTime & design recommendations through zoom meetings to meeting in person for cake tastings, Korina was always so professional, caring and a joy to work with. Korina was so helpful and kind as my wedding coordinator! Korina was a dream to work with! From our initial consultation she was very warm, detail oriented, and helped us work out our vision for our big day. She coordinated with all our vendors in regard to details for the day of and collecting documents needed for the venue - we really didn't have to work about anything! It actually rained on our wedding day, but Korina and her team worked with the venue to find a plan B last minute and they were able to move around the ceremony from the courtyard to inside the venue while still making it look beautiful. Korina was just amazing to work with! From our initial consultation to the first meeting at the venue and with vendors all the way through our ceremony, she was "on the ball" and made our wedding a success! If you’re looking for a sweet, detail oriented and stylish wedding planner, look no further because Korina is the best in the game. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planner to help us plan our special day. Korina was extremely organized and detail oriented, I can’t even say I was stressed at all during the planning because Korina literally handled everything so well. She was on top on everything, she kept all of our contracts organized, she sent our friendly reminders for when payments were due for vendors. Without her we would have been so overwhelmed, especially since we had so many vendors! She was seriously great throughout the entire planning process. But let me just say, the day of the wedding, you especially need someone who is on their A-game like Korina. It’s such a high stress day and things happen! On our wedding day, there were some mishaps (like…my mom forgetting the wedding bands at home 😅, people showing up late, the card box left behind in the car lol) Korina pulled through every time and was quick in handling every challenge with grace. Not to mention, she designed a gorgeous wedding for us, beyond our expectations! She’s heaven sent and you won’t regret booking with Korina!

Korina was the most wonderful help in planning my wedding! Originally, I was going to have a friend help me as my coordinator but it wasn’t going to work out and I was in a bind to find someone to help, two months out. I reached out to Korina and she responded immediately, and lucky for us, was available for our date. She answered any and all questions I had and was just an absolute joy to work with. She definitely knows how to plan a wedding and have it go off without a hitch! I am so grateful for her knowledge and her work. I would recommend her over and over!

We hired Korina as our Wedding Coordinator and she did a fabulous job! From day one she was there to answer any emails/questions we had, was open to reviewing contracts for us, helped guide us in the right direction at all times, was always really timely in her communication, she provided great tips/content via Instagram, and so much more. She ran our rehearsal in a clear, concise, and fun way and then she handled our wedding perfectly. We were slightly off schedule from a time perspective which fell on us, but she kept everything moving along smoothly and it was a seamless day. Korina was our wedding coordinator. She was polite but engaging, and did a great job organizing everything for the last two months of planning. We loved working with Korina....she was referred to us by a friend so we were confident when we met her that she was the one that we wanted to help plan our daughter's wedding. She is the sweetest person and we felt so much comfort with her calm demeanor and attention to detail. She helped us stay organized with layouts, timelines and set-up... the day went off without a hitch and we are truly appreciative! Korina made several recommendations as far as the time line so that the bride and groom were able to enjoy the day as much as possible. I was excited about everything except the clean up ....we only had one hour to get everything packed up and and loaded after the wedding and , with her help as well as her fantastic assistant we had everything cleaned up in 30 min!

Planning a wedding is a lot of stress and work but planning, cancelling, changing venues, and re-planning your wedding during covid is even more stress! When I switched venues, we were notified we needed a wedding planner to coordinate the day so the search began about 3 months out from my wedding day. I couldn’t find anyone who I felt I had a good connection with until another planner who was already booked connecting me with Korina at serene events! Korina was a life saver and helped streamline everything for day of so we could just enjoy our day. Korina was super easy to communicate with and always got back to me quickly if I had questions or concerns. Our bridal party was huge as my husband had 12 groomsmen on our wedding day. Korina helped us stay organized and on task and trust me it’s a lot of people to keep track of !! Korina even helped us last minute with our 100 person welcome dinner the night before our wedding. I have nothing but awesome things to say about working with korina and how our wedding day went! She took care of everything and kept me updated with anything I needed to know. My sister found Serene Events and Design on Instagram and shared her site with me since we were seeking a coordinator that could help us with our day-of needs for a small minimony/microwedding. The work she shared on her Instagram and website all reflected the design aesthetic we were looking for, so we reached out to her for a consultation and we are so glad we did! Korina was extremely personable, professional, and enthusiastic. Although we worked with her mainly for the set-up for our minimony, she was so kind as to help us with some design details as well. We had a general vision for our decor/table settings and couldn't articulate it all well. However, with minimal direction, and despite the addition of last-minute items, Korina was able to transform all our ideas into the most beautiful venue space.
