Seven Loaves catered our Christian Communicators Conference in Richardson. My goodness gracious---southern comfort food at it's finest!!!!
Seven Loaves Catering is one of the best in the business. They frequent our two venues. We love them for multiple reasons.
1. This is a family run business and everyone who works with them is treated that way. The owners are outstanding, taking care of every detail and their staff are always helpful, polite and go out of their way to make every event successful.
2. The food is fantastic - everything I've ever eaten has been delicious from tea party to brunch to a lavish dinner!
Seven Loaves Catering is a great choice for your catering needs!
Seven Loaves did our afternoon wedding and they were wonderful! Since it was in between lunch and dinner, we did a variety of hors d'oeuvres which all tasted fantastic. It was a full service, buffet style event and their service was impeccable. We had full plates waiting at our sweetheart table and they came by several times to get us more food and drink. They provided a cake cutting service and even boxed up individual slices for us to give to guests as parting treats. Great caterer! Would recommend to anyone!
We chose Seven Loaves after talking with a few places that were either tasteless or too expensive. Seven Loaves fit within our budget and had an amazing selection of both appetizers and entrees. They were also able to fulfill my mother's demands (real china and silverware) and still came in under budget. Things were a tad hectic in the final details meeting, but everything's hectic with COVID so I don't fault them. The day turned out perfect and I couldn't be happier.
Food was great and they did an awesome job!
We used Seven Loaves for our wedding reception. We got so many compliments on the food (the brisket was amazing) and couldn't have been happier with the whole thing. The staff was great to let us customize the menu to accommodate dietary restrictions and have just the food we wanted. We also appreciated how many options there were for delivery as we just wanted set-up and not full service. Staff were professional and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Seven Loaves Catering did everything they could to make our special day better. So many guests came up to us to let us know how amazing the food was and I couldn’t agree more. They were great at working with our budget and keeping all the quality and details in mind. Our caterers made sure we were fed first and even sent us home with food at the end of the night. They were so thoughtful and wonderful to work with!
Seven Loaves Catering did a great job catering a bridal shower for us! They arrived on time, did a great job setting up and they were very professional. Most important - the food was delicious, we received many compliments on it!
Our venue had suggested a different caterer when we booked and then they partnered with Seven Loaves, so we tried them out at a tasting event. We loved the food and the staff, so we booked for our wedding! Everything was pretty easy to setup (most of it was done over email). The day of went great. Only one small complaint I had was that I specifically asked if they would make us plates to go (so we could have some late night snacks) and was told no problem...we got a cute little box with blah sandwiches, not the plates I had asked for. (Really glad a friend made us to-go containers because we didn’t even eat the sandwiches). But other than that everything was great!
When we began to search for a wedding caterer we knew we'd be facing some difficulties since my husband is a professional chef. Our method was having me handling all initial communication so that the caterers didn't know they were talking to someone in the industry. After contacting a few caterers and not having great experiences, I contacted Seven Loaves Catering because I got a good vibe right off the bat from their website and reviews. We met with Haley, the event coordinator, and we had a great time! We never sampled any food before booking, but that was due to our crazy work schedule on top of my husband having a good gut feeling about the company. Our buffet dinner at our wedding was delicious, and we received many compliments, especially for the appetizers! Our experience from beginning to end with Seven Loaves and their staff was wonderful, and we would highly recommend them!
Seven Loaves was wonderful from tasting to wedding day and beyond. Beginning with a tasting event, they were classy and offered such a wonderful variety of choices and customization. Great communication day-of. Both my husband and I were brought full plates the instant we got into the reception. Hailey was our personal assistant, refilling our drinks and asking us just the right number of times if we needed anything. They even packed up a late night snack box with two sandwiches, a cookie, and watermelon, which was AMAZING after dancing all night. Thanks, Seven Loaves!
We used Seven Loaves for our wedding and were extremely pleased! They are fantastic to work with and had amazing food options! Also, they are fantastically priced!! The staff on the wedding day was so great, friendly, and helpful!! The food was absolutely incredible!! Couldn’t have asked for a better caterer!! :)
I hired Seven Loaves for my wedding on 11/4/17. We didn't do a tasting so I was a little nervous, but the food was amazing! Everyone loved it, and not one person has had one bad thing to say. The catering staff were phenomenal, so warm and friendly and helpful. They were quick to get us anything we needed. Can't say enough good things about Seven Loaves! I highly recommend!
After many changes to the time schedule of the reception, Seven Loaves made it easy to stay flexible throughout the week leading up to the wedding. My guests loved the food and my family said the staff was ever present when you needed them, but did not distract from the day. "Impressive," was the word they chose to describe the staff. Kimbrah was very helpful in communicating with me about the contract, meeting times, and reassuring me that everything will go smoothly! Thank you, Seven Loaves, for a very positive experience!
This catering company is amazing! Delicious food, beautiful linen choices, and excellent staff! We had so many compliments on the food and service at our wedding! They truly work with you to make sure you get what you need and are happy! This company has so much to offer! We highly recommend Seven Loaves Catering!
Had my wedding on November 2016 at 9 Social which I believe is part of Seven Loaves Catering. Tasting was good, food at our reception was good as well and served on time which we really appreciate it. I did make sure to tell the captain event that husband and I wanted to try the appetizers and of course the main course. One of our selections (ceviche) never came to our sweetheart table, which was very disappointing. I also requested to have the food labeled so people knew what they were eating - that never happened. We had the mac and cheese specialty station which didn't really have an inviting setup and a lot of people missed out on it because they couldn't tell what they were supposed to do. Labeling could have helped here.
Regarding the venue (9 Social), it's just OK. I had less than 50 people and 3 hrs into the reception it got really hot. I asked the captain to look into it and she mentioned the AC was in full blast! So the rest of the reception went with the doors opened because it was just too hot in there - I wasn't happy at all as you can imagine. Also, rented some of the linen from them and requested beforehand to make sure it was ironed - that too never happened. Husband and I received complaints from our guests that they could barely feel the liquor in their drinks - we had tons of leftover liquor due to this. There is definitely room for improvement, Kimbrah (person I talked to during wedding planning) was awesome and very accommodating but not sure where all the disconnect happened.
My wedding was over a year ago and it has taken me that long to write this review because I am STILL so angry. I found this caterer through my wedding planner, who had never used them before but they were one of the few options available on my wedding date. We attended a tasting that was phenomenal, the food was delicious and everything was great. We chose our packages and although not 'wowed' with the options or service, everything was fine! Fast forward to the day of the event - The appetizers were delicious! We did brisket tacos, and two other options that I honestly can't remember. But the brisket tacos were AWESOME. When it came time for the meal, our wedding planner brought our plates to us and something was missing. Yes, they FORGOT to bring the MEAT to our wedding. So, we had sub-par spaghetti with some pretty pathetic breadsticks for our wedding meal. What bothers me the most about this is there was PLENTY of time between when they arrived and when the meal was served for them to find a remedy for this. There was a awl-mart 10 minutes down the road, buy some rotisserie chicken or SOMETHING instead of just not worrying about it. OH YEAH, and they TOLD NO ONE. Not my wedding planner, not me, not anyone. One of my bridesmaids pointed it out. THEN, we asked if we could possibly bring out some more appetizers, and they had leftover brisket tacos just sitting in the back. Don't you think if you forgot to bring meat to the wedding you would leave the tacos out ?!?! Overall, sub-par food and TERRIBLE customer service. We got a $500 refund and I never got a personal apology(they only called my mom, who paid for our food). If you're looking for someone to go above and beyond, this is NOT the company to choose.
We were so happy with our service and our food. It was amazing and they did so great with accommodating to all of our needs. Our guests were so pleased with the food the only regret was not ordering more of it!!
I have nothing but great things to say about Seven Loaves Catering! Starting with our first meeting, the employees were helpful at giving me as accurate of a quote as possible, explaining all of my options, and were super patient. My husband and I ended up mixing two packages to customize exactly what we were looking for. The food was delicious, and set-up/clean-up was all taken care of! Highly recommend.
Amazing catering! Our guests kept raving about how the food was one of the best they've had at any wedding!
Seven Loaves catering did such a fantastic job on our wedding day. All of our guests complimented how delicious the food was. It wasn't prepared at the venue, but was hot and fresh for our reception. And I seriously felt like the staff that worked our wedding had good intuition. I was thinking I needed pepper, I turn my head and there they were right at our side to serve. So despite the food being wonderful, I was so overwhelmed/in shock from the day, I was unable to eat much at the reception. Seven Loaves was so sweet, and brought me and my hubby and additional packed late night meal. Would definitely recommend them and use them again for a future event. Some advice, if you plan to go to their tasting and have particular menu item in mind, request it ahead of time and they can prepare it!
So happy with my decision to use Seven Loaves Catering. They were so nice to work with, helped us stay within our budget and the food was delicious!
Seven Loaves was an amazing caterer! They were easy to work with and the food was delicious. I recommend them to all of my engaged friends. My husband and I are so happy we went with them.
Seven Loaves catered our wedding! The food was amazing but the staff was not. When it was time for us to cut the cake there was no staff around to help us or serve cake after we were done cutting. Our photographer had to show us what to do. Some staff bused the tables and left liquid on the ground for guests to trip and fall. Other than that I would highly recommend Seven Loaves for catering. Again, the food was amazing!!
Seven Loaves did a great job catering our wedding. We had a chicken and a beef entrée and got tons of compliments about how great the meal was. They were also great to work with during the planning process and were very accommodating of additional requests. Our contact at Seven Loaves, Kimbrah, was very helpful and responsive and I enjoyed working with her. The food was delicious and the people were great, and I’m glad we hired Seven Loaves to cater our wedding.
Seven Loaves did an amazing job catering our wedding. The whole process was easy and Kimbrah was great to work with! The food at the tasting was amazing, and even better the day of our wedding! I was a little skeptical since I've been to many weddings where the food turned out dry from being cooked prior to the event and sitting in the warmers but all the food we had on our wedding day was amazing, tender, and very flavorful! We got many compliments from our guest that they loved the food. I would highly recommend Seven Loaves for your catering needs! Thank you for making our day so delicious and keeping our bellies full!
Let me start off by saying that initially, I had a great experience with Seven Loaves. The communication was open and they were quick to respond to emails, etc. I'm not one to write bad reviews but what I experienced was such a complete nightmare.
Early on, we attended a tasting, the food looked and tasted so terrible that my now husband couldn't believe we had already paid the deposit. Since I had such a great experience prior, I was willing to look past that and give them the benefit of the doubt.
Fast forward to my final details meeting at my venue, and I am surprised to find out that Seven Loaves is no longer a preferred caterer for Hidden Pines. It was implied that other brides had numerous poor experiences in the past. I thought this was strange. My experience had been so pleasant so far (minus the tasting), why would they distance themselves so soon? After what I saw and experienced at my own wedding reception, I can completely understand why Hidden Pines has disassociated themselves.
Here are a few "highlights" of my experience: Dinner was served 1 hour late at my reception (this was later blamed on my mother who had NO communication with the caterer other than writing them the check). Due to dinner being late, everything (toasts, special dances, etc) had to be rushed through to accommodate for a slow and sloppy dinner service by Seven Loaves. I spent my entire reception completely frustrated with the lack of urgency, lack of respect of timeline and most of all, lack of respect for myself, planner and mother. My planner was treated extremely poorly when she went into the kitchen and inquired about why dinner was so late. Things got so bad that my own mother had to then GET UP and leave our reception and go INTO the kitchen to find out what the holdup was. She too was treated terribly and met with an unprofessional attitude by the staff of Seven Loaves. Because of the 1 hour delay of getting food out, my reception was an absolute disaster and left a mere 20 mins for guests to dance before we had to do our exit- yes, you read that right, 20 mins. Not only did their actions or lack of action ruin our reception, but many of our guests didn't even recieve wedding cake. It was quickly boxed up, and a few sliced were left plated on the cake table. Most of the staff was seen standing around- no attempt was made to pass the cake to guests and I was sent home packing with most of my wedding cake. Pretty frustrating when you think about the combined cost of the cake, DJ and caterer. Had we gone with someone different, I wouldn't be left feeling so disappointed in my decision to go with Seven Loaves. Most of all I feel that I was cheated of a memorable wedding reception because of all the issues mentioned above. I wish I could say that I received the same caliber of service, professionalism and quality that are mentioned in other reviews but it was truly a complete and udder disaster. To make matters worse, the caterer has now started the finger pointing game and refuses to take any kind of responsibly for their actions (or lack thereof).
The food was very good and the staff were all very professional. Seven Loaves went the extra mile to make our event spectacular.
I highly recommend this company to anyone thinking about a caterer.
We chose to do a breakfast menu for out wedding. They had a big menu selection to choose from. All of the food tasted great. The staff was very helpful and guided me through the whole process. I must have changed the menu a dozen times and they were very accommodating each time. They made the catering portion of the wedding very low stress! The price was very reasonable as well.
Seven Loaves catered my daughter's brunch reception, and did a great job. We had specifically requested that the reception have an elegant rustic/vintage feel, and they carried that out perfectly, down to the cast-iron cookware and chalk signs. The setup was attractive, and the food was very good. Everyone especially loved the gouda cheese grits and blueberry french toast. I'm sure I was a worrisome MOB about all the little details throughout the planning, but they were always nice and accommodating. They were very busy and had some staff changes during our planning process that made communication a bit more difficult, but someone was always willing to meet with us and answer questions. The waitstaff did a great job. We were very pleased with the outcome on wedding day, and they completed my daughter's vision perfectly!
Needless to say I am quite disappointed with my experience with Seven Loaves. Let me go ahead and list what happened the night of our reception.
1. In general the servers that were working our reception looked like they wanted to be anywhere else but at the Wildwood Inn.
2. In the details meeting (which I took off for) we went through all the details that would make our evening special to us. This information was also recapped in our final invoice. With this documentation I'm not quite sure where the communication break down was.
-The beverage napkins that we had specialized for the event were sitting in a pile which the bride saw and asked if they could be placed at the bar (we had asked for them to be used during the passed appetizers instead of the standard napkin).
-We asked that the members of the wedding party have a sample of the appetizers at their table since they were out taking pictures and missed the cocktail hour, They were not. I had to ask 2 people to get them each of sample of appetizers (just a note here that the wedding table was clearly marked). Instead of placing at each setting a server just left a tray of them at the table.
-We had specific requests on what we wanted on our plates since they were plated for us. They both came out the same which was incorrect.
-We both ate quickly so that we could mingle with our guests. We weren't worried about this since we had communication about getting food to go. Neither one of us ate everything since we knew we would enjoy it later with our to go food.
-When our coordinator requested some cake to be packed up to go is when the evening really went south. We were told that there was nothing to pack it up with. That's when I (yes myself during my wedding reception) had to unfortunately have a very negative conversation with this company. I was confused how they were going to be able to pack food up without to go boxes. That's when I was told that we weren't getting any food packed up because if we wanted that we needed to pay for 2 more people. In the face to face conversations and emails this detail never came up. We were told this was a common practice by this company. I was told that we ran out of food which is really scary because 5 people didn't show up. This means that we wouldn't have had enough food to feed our guests? We ended up getting cake and rolls packed up for us, yeah thanks for that. What is the most disappointing part of this whole event is that I never once got a sorry I was told how I didn't do something even though it was clear on our final invoice and in other email communication that we would have food packed to go.
3. One of us saw one of the servers sneaking a piece of cake to the bartender. In all of my years of catering and being in the food industry I have never had a server sneak food that someone else paid for. Perhaps that's how we ran out of food even though 5 guests didn't show.
As you can see this was an awful experience us. There are some major miscommunications among this company. I have never worked with a company that made the customer feel wrong. We ended up eating at Whataburger at midnight because we were so hungry.
*As of this review they still have not responded to my email with these concerns from 3 days ago.*
I believe the service was great, the service throughout the entire process was great. I thought the food was ok. My husband and I entered the reception a little later after photos, but our food was cold, so I can't say that I got the best version of it since it had been out for a while. The breadsticks were so hard, they were inedible by our guests. I, nor my husband could eat them and I notified Ashley during the wedding. The green beans were shriveled and a little dry. I also thought the Chicken Marsala could have been better, it tasted less like a caterer/gourmet and more store bought.
As I live out of state, I was unable to have a food tasting and I wish that I had. Prior to our wedding, I had so many friends say that the food is the thing people remember the most. I have to say that I’m a little mortified because I wasn’t happy and I could tell by the plates that they weren’t wowed either. I would like to add again, the service itself was great. Ashley and her assistant, helped clear the tables and pour champagne along with my bridesmaids. I really wish the food matched the service.
