Shear Artistry Day Spa & Salon

I had my first and last experience going to Shear Artistry. I consulted with the stylist Kasia prior to beginning that I wanted my hair to eventually be a lighter shade of brown. We discussed that it would need to happen in stages, best done gradually through a series of highlights over time. We decided to do a root touch up and highlights that would be a lighter brown or caramel to help me get to where I wanted to be down the road. She did my roots first and alone, blow dried them, and then she started my highlights (I've never had it done separate before but that wasn't an issue other than it took much longer). Two and a half hours later I looked in the mirror and had awful brassy copper streaks. Even worse, the highlights didn't extend to my scalp and they looked like they had already started growing out. NO ONE would say these are good highlights and no one would want their hair to look like this. When I called the salon and spoke to the owner after I left she was extremely rude and condescending, placing the blame on me and that I had unrealistic expectations. She said she didn't have time to talk to me, that a client was staring at her, and she had to go. I was appalled at the rudeness. She said she would call back later and never did. I also spoke to the stylist and after explaining I was uncomfortable letting her fix it (why would I trust that it would be better the second time? Why wouldn't they offer for another stylist or the owner to fix it?), she focused on payment and insinuated that I was attempting to get a service for free. I was looking for a solution and all they were worried about was securing payment and defending the awful hair I now had to go to another salon and pay to have fixed. It's one thing to receive bad service, it's quite another to have you made to feel awful or shady for expressing that to the employees and management. I've never received such all around poor customer service and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this salon. Bottom line: don't go to this salon unless you want to walk out looking worse than you came in and get treated poorly for not liking it.
