Shelby is absolutely amazing! She helps you with every step along the way and pays close attention to the tiny details that I would have never even thought of to make sure the day goes smoothly. She managed all the vendor communication/set-up/drop-off details before the big day so I could spend my time focusing on the bigger things. Her day of coordination was incredible, as well. Shelby and her team member, Lauren, were with me at all times making sure we were on track, bringing me a change of shoes when I needed it, saving me appetizers to enjoy while I was getting my pictures done. I could not have asked for a better experience and I owe a lot of that credit to Shelby and team!

I would recommend Shelby to everyone!! She was such a joy to work with and made our day go effortlessly! She made everything very organized and I never had to worry about things being forgotten or overlooked. She had great suggestions for everything and always had the answers to all my silly questions. Most importantly, she was a dream on the wedding day and everything we planned turned out perfect!!! I wish we could do it all over again.

We are SO glad we hired Shelby for day-of coordination for our wedding! She was extremely easy to work with and organized - she heard our vision for the day and then worked seamlessly with our venue to make it happen. On the day of, she made sure every vendor got to the right place / did their job, and it made it so that I didn't have to worry about anything. Above and beyond the "coordination", she also had a toolkit of day-of essentials that came in really handy... for example, she was prepped with a pretty ring box prop that our photographer ended up using, ribbons to demarcate some extra reserved seating rows last minute, etc. I would never have thought of those details, but Shelby did and was prepared! My whole family was super impressed and grateful!!

We are so lucky to have had Shelby as our wedding planner! She is a joy to work with - a calming presence who is so generous with her time and always on top of everything. Shelby is the person you want in charge of your wedding day!! From the second we booked her services, she was nothing short of helpful and sweet while navigating the wedding planning process. Her organization is NEXT LEVEL, the google document she created was top tier, and the communication between her and us, and her and our vendors was incredible. Our wedding day was a dream and Shelby played such a huge role in making that happen. She was on top of everything, from being a problem solver to a decision maker and everything in between! Shelby is a wonderful coordinator and any couple would be lucky to work with her! I am so glad I stumbled upon her services back in November of 2022- a year out from our November 2023 wedding! We booked her for month-of coordination but our conversations began quite a while before that month mark. I am a firm believer that a day-of coordinator is absolutely worth it- even if the venue comes with an on-site coordinator (which ours did and she was lovely too!) but I'd hire Shelby again a thousand times over. Don't ask your friends or family to handle those day-of logistics and do yourself a favor and do not do it yourself! The event is so, so worth professional support! We were able to be fully present all morning and evening. We didn't need to worry about the arrival of vendors, setting up tables, or cleaning any of it up! Shelby is communicative, and thoughtful, and works to educate her couples throughout the process. She gave us great advice and tips and made the months, weeks, and days leading up to the event stress-free. I am a control freak through and through- and I am so, so glad we worked with Shelby! I'd recommend her to anyone who will listen.

Shelby is the best! She was such an immense help from our first meeting together all the way through to our wedding day - keeping us organized, contacting and coordinating vendors, and always being an ear to listen to our numerous questions. Her attention to the small details regarding the planning itself and keeping us comfortable, fed, and hydrated during the busy wedding day is what really puts Shelby a tier above!

I can't recommend Shelby Lynn Events enough! Shelby helped me through my entire 14 month engagement and made the entire wedding planning process a breeze. She is so so organized and truly thinks of everything. On the day of, I was stressed about rain and Shelby kept me calm and ensured we had a back up plan that was still true to my vision. I had the BEST wedding day and it is all thanks to her hard work. You can tell she really loves her job and it makes her such a joy to work with.

Shelby went above and beyond from the second we signed our contract. She is AMAZING and our day wouldn't have happened without her. She is extremely thorough and patient and knows exactly how to help every step of the way. We got married during a tropical storm and everything seemed to go effortlessly because she took care of any and every worry I could have possibly had. I can't recommend Shelby enough! I can’t say enough amazing things about Shelby. Her communication is impeccable, she was always available when I needed to talk through something, and she thought of every detail possible. I choose to have an outdoor wedding and one of the downsides of that is the possibility of rain and unfortunately it started storming about 10 minutes before our private ceremony. Shelby was calm cool and collected, after keeping an eye on the radar she suggested pushing it back 30 minutes and right on queue it stopped raining and everything worked out perfectly. She even saved some of the rain water for us in a bottle to save as a memory. After our September wedding, we had family and friends that interacted with her go out of their way to give us feedback about how great and helpful she was. She was on top of every aspect and because of her and her team, our day ran as flawlessly as possible. I truly can not say enough positive things about her and her work ethic and knowledge of her profession.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Shelby took an extreme amount of pressure off of me and encouraged me to do MY wedding however I wanted to do it. I never worried about forgetting something because she had a shared spreadsheet to keep everything on track and I could add to it as I made concrete plans. All while being on top of things, she is SUPER laid back. My wedding party and guests commented on how great she was and how smooth everything went. As the bride, she was very attentive to me and my husband, but she made sure I always had a drink in hand. You will not be disappointed hiring Shelby!

Working with Shelby Lynn Events was hands down one of the BEST decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. Shelby is exactly what you hope to find in a wedding planner/coordinator. She is incredibly skilled at what she does, but just as important for what I was looking for, she is also kind, communicative, and takes the time to really listen to what her couples need/want out of their big day. She never made me feel silly for not knowing how any of this wild wedding industry worked which I greatly appreciated and she always had great recommendations on how to bring my vision to life! She is absolutely who you want standing in your corner for any unexpected situation a wedding may throw your way (in my case a hurricane!) and if you are looking for a planner or coordinator for your big day I can't recommend her services enough.

Shelby was such a joy to work with. She is very organized, communicative, and made the wedding planning experience smooth AND enjoyable! She was always calm even if things got hectic and really helped not only me, but my mom be calm through the process. Shelby and her team were amazing! We actually live in Florida and had the wedding in Virginia so we were concerned with some of the communication since we couldn’t be there in person for a lot of the planning. However, this was no issue at all as Shelby and her team were always in communication with us making sure all the details were worked out. Even some of the last minute stuff that causes most of the stress was easy thanks to her taking so good care of us. Shelby and her team are amazing and you will be in great hands!

If I could give Shelby 1000000 stars, I would. My husband was on deployment for the entire 6 months before our wedding. I could NEVER have planned the wedding or made decisions without Shelby. On the day of- it POURED down rain, but Shelby worked with my venue to make the necessary changes all while I was getting ready with my bridesmaids. Shelby took care of everything. Leading up to the wedding, she scheduled calls with all of the vendors to make sure that we had everything in place. She did a site walk through with me and spent countless hours on the phone with me walking through every situation possible. Shelby was an invaluable part of our wedding and I never could have done it without her. I would recommend her to everyone!

Shelby is a pro, period. Shelby is so down-to-earth, friendly, always professional, responsive, and organized. I was grateful that someone else recommended her to me because I am a true procrastinator - yes, even for my own wedding. I booked with Shelby about 9 or 10 months in advance of our wedding, and we worked in the first couple of months to secure our most important vendors. She had a very comprehensive shared document that we went over in every call. She recommended some of our other vendors (who were also wonderful), she reminded us about deadlines for final details, she set up calls with our vendors at intervals where they were needed, and she made sure all payments due were on our radar in advance. On our wedding day, I couldn't even tell you all the things she took care of because she just... took care of them. She enabled everything to go off without a hitch and I couldn't be more grateful that I decided to go with Shelby.

I highly recommend Shelby! Although we had a small wedding, we had to hire all of our vendors separately (rather than coming in a package) which required a lot of coordination. Shelby helped keep everything on track! We also had to make several significant changes to our May outdoor wedding a few days before our wedding day due to forecasted 100 degree heat. Shelby helped make all of these unforeseen changes happen smoothly! I highly recommend her!

We found Shelby through extensive Knot and Facebook vendor research, and are SO glad we did. Shelby went above and beyond in our six months working together. She was prompt to check-in, even when we didn't have scheduled meeting times, and was always available when we had questions or needed support! I can't imagine our wedding day going as smoothly as it did without her! From timelines, runthroughs, planning, setting up arch decor, gathering heards of people together, and helping with our day of errands - Shelby was so kind, professional, and helpful. Shelby was recommended to me through my photographer when my first planner had to drop out. Any anxiety I felt when my first planner left was assuaged almost instantly in my first call to Shelby. She patiently talked to me for 45 minutes, with no guarantee of a contract. Her calming energy, thoroughness, and excellent communication made hiring her a no brainer. Shelby juggled wedding planning with a full time job before she struck out on her own (true grit). I wouldn't have known her attention was divided at all; she made time for our needs, great and small, without hesitation. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about our wedding and I have Shelby to thank. I got to be present and relaxed that day, which is no small feat for a high strung bride. Not only did Shelby do everything that we asked her to do with positivity and professionalism but also handled so many additional items as well. Shelby was fantastic in dealing with vendors and reviewing contracts and went above and beyond with some vendors who did not want to fulfill their obligations. Despite helping with many weddings and being a best man in 5 weddings I can hands down say that Shelby provided the best day of service I have ever seen. My wife and I were not bothered by any little details, everything was set up perfectly and our guests were given great direction as necessary. Shelby was the best gift my Husband and I had for our Wedding. Our venue at Urban Roost required a day of coordinator for weddings (something we didn’t think much of) but are so glad we hired Shelby for. My husband and I are not planners and we really felt the pressure the months leading to the wedding. Shelby eased any and all of our concerns when we met and even more so when she met with our venue. She knew everything that needed to happen logistically and constantly made herself available for suggestions on details We just hadn’t thought of. Because of Shelby’s patience and communication, we never felt pressured during the planning process. We also hired Shelby for our florals and she delivered on our rustic Christmas theme perfectly. Delivery on those items happened seamlessly despite needing to be at 3 different places day of. Our reception went by so smoothly because of Shelby. She, without any hesitation, added a very last minute item to our night (the money dance requested by the family) and it felt like it was planned all along. We’re so grateful to Shelby for making our day perfect. She has given us a lasting gift in our memories of the night, as well as a souvenir of rain water the night of the reception. She was super pleasant, thorough and detailed as she put together and executed the wedding day that "the client" wanted. On the wedding day itself Shelby was professional and relaxed. I’m a person who doesn’t open up or trust very easily or quickly, but from the moment a friend of mine recommended Shelby as the wedding planner for my big day, I immediately saw her experience, professionalism and care shine through our initial video call and that first impression only got better over time. Shelby took so much time to get to know me and my husband, my plans for our dream wedding, and how she could help in anyway to execute every detail. Every detail I had for the ceremony, pictures, cocktail hour and reception came to life. Shelby’s attention to detail was evident in how she set up each space. I was in tears when I saw it all! I got compliments weeks after the event and it was all because of her My day was absolutely perfect and I know for a fact Shelby played one of the biggest roles in it! If I haven’t already stressed how wonderful and thoughtful she is, I will then add this fun little fact. At the end of the night, Shelby surprised us with a mason jar filled with water. She explained to my husband and I that she had put it out in the rain during our reception to capture our wedding day rain for our keeping. Once again, I was in tears! I would have never thought to ask or do something so meaningful and Shelby had done that without being prompted to do so! Shelby is a dream to work with. She’s such a rare find in a wedding industry filled with people there just to do a job. She will spend the time and energy to make sure you are made special and that your day is special because it truly is YOUR day! She will make timelines, work with vendors, communicate with the wedding party, organize contracts, remake timelines, conduct a walkthrough, help you plan and re-plan, set up wedding decor, take down decor, create floral arrangements, and be there for you every step of the way; she truly does it all! Shelby is a literal ANGEL who saved my wedding and my sanity. A month before my wedding, I was a non-sleeping, full-time working, complete stress mess. I went poking around on the Knot to see if anyone could coordinate my DIY wedding on such short notice. Shelby had me breathing easy in 1 hour. By the end of our first call I was convinced this was about to be the best money I’d ever spent. I specifically remember telling her “Well the moms want this, and my friend says that…” and she was like “What do YOU want? Ok great, then that’s what we’re doing. If anyone has questions/concerns about that, I'll field those. Everyone's going to love it!” Her energy was cool, calm, moving forward, + staying positive. That guidance and support was just what I needed. She instantly made me feel at ease and taken care of, and coordinated my wedding day like a boss. Leading up to the event, she knew the answer to every weird question, and knew exactly how to solve problems I hadn’t even considered. She was so patient and kind with me and my motley crew of set-up help. And when the day came, not only did she execute everything flawlessly, but she also whipped me up a last-minute floral arch installation that was truly the most beautiful part of the entire wedding. Everyone loved her and was blown away by how great she was.
