Booking Shelley for our August 2023 wedding was the best decision we made for our wedding. She is extremely talented and had all of our guests impressed. She also learned a unique song for us and was able to accommodate a last minute joke with our officiant. I would book her again and again if we could!

Shelley played during the ceremony and cocktail hour at our brunch wedding in June. She worked with us to create a playlist and songs that were meaningful to us, including Lover by Taylor Swift as our first dance, which was beautiful on the harp. Shelley's music truly elevated the day, and we keep hearing from friends and family how much they enjoyed her music. Shelley was easygoing but professional, and so wonderful to work with- I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a harpist!

We are SO happy we found Shelley -- she and her colleague Fabio made our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour incredibly special. Shelley and Fabio played a harp and cajon/percussion combo for our day, which so perfectly encapsulated who we are are a couple ("sophisticated spice!"). All of our guests loved the fun elegance that the music brought to our day. Shelley and Fabio learned two songs for our that made our ceremony so personal: "Backpocket" by Vulfpeck and "Dos Oruguitas" from the Encanto soundtrack. Both songs sounded incredible and brought tears to our eyes. Shelley is responsive, an excellent communicator, and perfectly delivers the vibe you envision for your day. We were a mixed-ethnicity wedding (Latine + white) and she and Fabio played a great combination of Latin- and pop-based songs. Apart from getting married, Shelley and Fabio were easily one of the top highlights of our wedding day. I strongly recommend Shelley Otis and her team for your wedding or event.

Shelley was the cherry on top of our entire wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. The soft and elegant sound of her music really made our ceremony. I have had so many guests compliment the live music, and say what a difference it makes (compared to a DJ with speakers) when the bride is walking down the aisle. It creates this intimacy that is unmatched. I remember feeling so nervous during the ceremony, standing in front of all of our guests, but Shelley's soft harp music in the background completely grounded me, and I found myself listening to her music every time I felt nervous. After the ceremony, Shelley seamlessly began playing fun upbeat jazz music for our cocktail hour, which I found to be so much fun and really create that easy and relaxed vibe after the "I do" that we were going for. In addition to the harp just being absolutely amazing, Shelley was also so fun and easy to work with. She is one of the most centered and calm people I've ever met, and definitely a personality that I needed on my team as the big day grew closer and the stress increased. Her communication is excellent, and she has the ability to put all of the jumbled ideas into a solid plan by using her knowledge, experience, and creativity. I recommend Shelley 110%, this is definitely a service to include in your wedding; it's a small unique touch that makes a WORLD of difference on your big day.

Shelley was the absolute best to work with. She made planning our ceremony music such a delight. As the bride I didn't want any hiccups on the day of the wedding and she streamlined herself with setup and timing of her music so perfectly. We hired Shelley to play the harp for our Nov. 2021 Catholic wedding ceremony and she was absolutely incredible! We weren't entirely sure what songs to choose and she helped to guide us through this process. We also wanted an exit song that felt a little more "us" while still being within the guidelines of what was appropriate in the chapel and Shelley expertly did this with a rendition of "Jazzy Joy." Shelley was also very accommodating with our year long delay to due COVID and also helped us find a cantor for our mass during that time as well. She is very easy to communicate with and helps guide couples according to their ceremony vision. Many of our guests commented on her talent and how unique it was to have a harpist play our music -- having Shelley with us was truly a special and unforgettable part of our day. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Shelley is amazing! She showed up on time, helped our officiant hook up her mic, and played the most beautiful music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. She braved 50 degree weather (unexpected) and wind and still played amazing!!!! Our guests can’t stop raving about it. She was so easy to communicate with and was quick as well. She gave us suggestions and made sure everything went the way we wanted it. She really made our ceremony so special and we’re so glad she got to celebrate with us! Choosing Shelley to perform at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. If you are thinking about it, just do it! Her musical talent is absolutely incredible, she’s a joy to work with, and she’s extremely organized in her planning and communication leading up to the wedding. My only regret on my wedding day was that I was not able to spend more time listening to her play. Luckily I spent a lot of time on her website/YouTube channel leading up to the wedding listening to all of her music. Our guests raved about her! She also provided our ceremony microphone/sound system for our officiant, which was so helpful for our outdoor ceremony. I can’t recommend Shelley enough!

Shelley Otis was a perfect fit for our wedding! If you want to have beautiful harp playing during your ceremony she is your musician. We had her for both harp during the ceremony and piano during the cocktail hour and she just did a fabulous job. She is super easy to work with, a great communicator, talented harpist/pianist, very professional, and very accommodating. It was a pleasure to have Shelley play during our small outdoor wedding. She was happy to learn 2 new compositions on the harp for our entrance and exit ("When the Stars go Blue" and "I Will Follow You Into the Dark"), and arranged them spectacularly. All our guests commented on how beautiful her music was, and it really made the day! Shelley also offered excellent suggestions, including playing "Erev Shel Shoshanim" during our ring exchange, and gorgeous classical compositions during photo sessions. We were married 9-17-2021 at Indian pond country club in Kingston MA and We hired Shelley as our harpist for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, let me start off by saying 5 stars simply aren’t enough to describe our experience with her. Not only does she play beautifully, she’s just so talented. Willing to learn new songs if she doesn’t play them already. She’s so responsive. My guests are still talking about how different, classy and beautiful it was having Shelley play the harp in the background! I would hire her a million times again. She truly made our wedding day unforgettable and even more special!

We were so lucky to have Shelley at our wedding. She’s an incredibly talented harpist, and a very kind person. Our guests told us they were tearing up before the ceremony even started because of her music alone. I can’t imagine we were the easiest wedding she’s ever done, as we were planning it during COVID and had a lot of our own ideas for the music we wanted to hear. Shelley was patient and flexible with us the entire time, and we were so impressed by the songs she learned just for our ceremony. Unfortunately I had to reschedule my wedding and this time cancel the reception, due to COVID 19. Shelley was very easy to work with and after I rescheduled the first time she offered to record music that my husband and I could play for our minimony (we got married in a park on our original wedding date). It was absolutely beautiful and I really appreciate her being so considerate while we went through such a hard time. The small deposit was non-refundable, which is understandable, but to us it paid for the music she provided for our minimony. I am sad, however I didn't get to experience her for my ceremony and cocktail hour. her music sounds glorious.

Pre-covid, Shelley was not one of our original vendors, but if there was good to come out of covid, it was in being able to hire Shelley for our intimate wedding! When we first hired Shelley, we thought we only needed music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. When we changed our plans (again) to have a full ceremony and reception for 30 people, Shelley seamlessly worked with us not only to learn two new songs, but to add a violinist and percussionist to our day to make sure all our needs were covered (and Cami and Fabio were truly fabulous)! Shelley's music is beautiful. She has an astounding repertoire of music that was nothing short of delightful on our wedding day. Shelley moved effortlessly from playing songs like Hallelujah during our ceremony (for which there wasn't a dry eye in the house) to playing Taylor Swift cover songs (which had everyone in awe, giggling, and bopping around). We, our families, and our guests were nothing short of thrilled by the music that Shelley provided - she added such joy, elegance, and wonder to our celebration. At the end of the evening, Shelley asked us if she could play one more song, as if there was any chance in the world that we wouldn't want to hear more from Shelley! One of my favorite memories of the day was dancing with my family to that last song. Working with Shelley was easy - she is compassionate and passionate about what she does. We requested a recording of our first dance song so we could practice, and Shelley got us the most beautiful recording in ONE DAY. Not only that, Shelley told us that what she gave us was a rough copy - it was beautiful and I am dying to have other recordings from Shelley. Any wedding would be that much better with Shelley, and I am forever grateful that we were gifted the chance to work with her and to have her music surrounding us throughout our day.

We hired Shelley Otis as our Harpist for our wedding in September 2019. Shelley was easy to work with leading up to the wedding and patiently answered all my questions and emails. She is professional, her price is reasonable and her music added a perfect ambiance and special element to our wedding day. Leading up to the wedding we touched base to plan out the set list and completely customized the wedding music. On the wedding day, Shelley arrived early to get herself set up, then played before the ceremony, for the bridal recession, one song during the ceremony and then during the entire cocktail hour. I would definitely recommend this vendor!

There is no one like Shelley. Not only is she an extremely talented musician, she is incredibly kind and warm. We were so lucky that Shelley wasn't booked on our wedding date as we decided to add live music to our ceremony fairly last minute. The harp is such a beautiful and slightly unusual instrument. I can honestly say, it truly made our ceremony one of a kind. I approached Shelley with two ideas: 1. My husband really likes a song called "Is and Is and Is" by White Denim (definitely an untraditional choice) and I thought it would be a fun tune for him to walk down to. Despite never hearing the song before, Shelley embraced the challenge and created such a fun arrangement for us! 2. I got the idea of singing during my ceremony and Shelley was on board right away. She played a stunning, slowed down version of "I Choose You" by Sara Bareilles to accompany me. She was even willing to transpose the song to a different key that worked better for my vocal range. I was nervous (nearly chickened out several times!) but I did it, all thanks to Shelley's calm, encouraging presence. It was an amazing experience. My husband and I are beyond appreciative of Shelley's hard work and could not recommend her enough. Book her! People won't stop coming up to you to tell you how much they loved her music, even months after your wedding.

When I contacted Shelley, she moved some appointments around to accommodate me. As if that wasn’t enough, she sent me a few songs via drop box.
